Travis Scott Shows Off His Hometown In The Frenetic ‘Mo City Flexologist’ Video

It’s not often that a ten-year-old mixtape can come back with as much impact as Days Before Rodeo. Travis Scott‘s breakout 2014 mixtape was recently re-released for streaming and despite its age, has had an outsized effect on the charts.

It also provided Scott an opportunity to go back and release music videos for his favorite songs from the project with the resources he’s accumulated since then — for instance, “Mo City Flexologist,” which is an ode to the Houston suburb Travis grew up in, Missouri City. While he certainly could have gone all-out with the new visual, though, Travis opts to keep things looking homemade and low-fi, mixing in shots of his old high school with shots showing off the cityscape and archival news footage of coverage of his accomplishments. There are even some old black-and-white cartoons thrown in, along with a cameo from the Compton Cowboys.

Despite the success of Days Before Rodeo in its streaming debut, Travis said he’s already back in album mode working on the follow-up to his hit 2023 album Utopia, for which he wrapping up the international legs of his Circus Maximus Tour in the next month.

Days Before Rodeo is out now via Cactus Jack Records and Epic Records.

People not from a select few parts of the world might not know this, but TikTok has a streaming music app: TikTok Music launched in July 2023 and is currently available in Australia, Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, and Singapore. If you’re a user of the platform, enjoy it while it lasts: TikTok announced today (September 24) that TikTok Music will shut down on on November 28, just over a year after its launch.

TikTok Music shared an announcement online, reading in part, “Dear users, We are sorry to inform you that TikTok Music will be closing on November 28, 2024. After this date, access to TikTok Music, including login, subscriptions, and all other functionalities, will no longer be available.”

It goes on to encourage users to transfer their playlists to other platforms by October 28, and to request refunds by November 28. The TikTok Music website has more instructions.

Ole Obermann, TikTok’s global head of music business development, said in a statement (as Billboard reports), “Our Add to Music App feature has already enabled hundreds of millions of track saves to playlists on partner music streaming services. We will be closing TikTok Music at the end of November in order to focus on our goal of furthering TikTok’s role in driving even greater music listening and value on music streaming services, for the benefit of artists, songwriters and the industry.”

At the time of TikTok Music’s launch in 2023, Obermann hailed the platform as “a new kind of service that combines the power of music discovery on TikTok with a best-in-class streaming service.”

Future’s NSFW ‘Teflon Don’ Video Is An Unintentional PSA For Anti-Overdose Medications

Future’s NSFW new video for “Teflon Don” cheekily references the Atlanta rapper’s past preoccupation with pills with references to anti-overdose medications. Throughout the video, Future raps the Mixtape Pluto standout while flanked with stock cars wrapped in blown-up drug info labels for Suboxone and Narcan — two drugs designed to help treat opioid addiction or its consequences. Some of the cars are also wrapped with blown-up black-and-white photos of nude women from old gentleman’s magazines.

Ironically, Future admitted in a 2019 interview that he’d given up drinking lean and popping prescription pills, but that he didn’t stop rapping about them for fear of disappointing fans who’d become accustomed to his substance abuse subject matter. He even expressed dismay at the idea that it was those lyrics that inspired his WRLD On Drugs collaborator Juice WRLD to first try combining codeine and soda pop. Still, that hasn’t stopped Future from rapping about those subjects, such as on his Save Me standout, “Xanax Damage” — although more recent releases such as I Never Liked You and We Don’t Trust You shifted focus to his toxic approach to romance rather than his fascination with getting high.

Mixtape Pluto is out now via Epic/Freebandz.

Chloe Bailey Inadvertently Sparks Anger Towards Beyonce After Revealing The Reason She’s Been Unable To Perform

Chloe Bailey explained why she isn’t performing live more often during a recent livestream with fans on social media. In doing so, she explained that shows cost money and her label hasn’t approved the budgets she’s needed. In response, fans have been clamoring for Beyonce to get her more help, as she has a deal with the iconic singer’s record label, Parkwood Entertainment. Others have put the blame on Columbia Records.

“Trust me, I would be performing if I could,” Bailey explained. “The thing is that money goes into the performances. So, it’s not free to do performances and you have to get budgets approved and things like that. If I could, I’d be performing everywhere.” From there, she defended her work ethic and explained that it has nothing to do with her not wanting to perform.

Another user wrote: “Beyoncé gotta let that bitterness go, you already solidified let’s another R&B girl get their shine.” One more suggested she’s not selling enough records. “Yall don’t buy her music!” they wrote. “Period. Drakes Poses With The $uicideboy$ & Praises Them For “Reflective” Show

Drake seems to have been having a fun past several days in his hometown of Toronto. Over the last 24 hours or so, there’s a video of him and live streamer Adin Ross making the rounds on social media of them at a nightclub. They have been fans of each other’s work for quite some time, so seeing them link up was a nice sight to see. Additionally, another clip saw Drizzy warming up alongside his teammates and competitors for his basketball tournament at his lavish indoor court. However, that drew more jokes than anything else. Now, there’s some pictures of Drake and the $uicideboy$ drawing some buzz.

This is a pretty unexpected meet up, but part of the reason for it has to do with the fact that the Louisiana rap duo was in Toronto. Currently, the fan-favorite one-two punch of Ruby da Cherry and Scrim is in the midst of their two-month Grey Day tour. It kicked off on August 7 in Nashville and is going to run through November 11 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Just yesterday they were rocking the Scotiabank Arena, and Drake decided to pull and support the veteran tandem.

Nicki Minaj Refutes Rumors She Dissed Beyonce As An “Absolute Lie”

Nicki Minaj has refuted the rumors that she intended to diss Beyonce by tweeting and deleting the phrase, “Robot on timing.” When a theory about the meaning of their alleged post began to spread, Minaj took to the comments section of an Instagram post to write: “This is an absolute lie.”

Regardless of Nicki’s clarification, fans weren’t buying that all is well between her and Beyonce as she’s continuously criticized JAY-Z on social media in recent weeks. “I still can’t figure out how ya maintain a genuine friendship with somebody who very openly hates your spouse,” one user commented. “Like how does that work? Cuz if u say something about her husband, it’s up.” Another wrote: “When you speak on somebody husband I hope you know his wife will never deal with you again. I know I wouldn’t and I would tell you to take that up with me since you female as well!”

As for Nicki’s criticism of JAY-Z, she’s been unhappy with the role he played in selecting Kendrick Lamar to perform at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. With the game being in New Orleans, she wanted the NFL to choose the hometown artist and her longtime collaborator, Lil Wayne. In an initial post on the matter, Minaj wrote: “Denying a young black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego. Lil Uzi Vert Has Fans Gravely Concerned Following Bizarre Behavior In Interview

Lil Uzi Vert fans are seriously fretting once again about the multi-talent’s well-being. The X (Twitter) account of Kurrco reposted a street interview from a fan account of the MC, and their behavior is noticeably off the wall. Right from the beginning, something seems visibly off, as they go on random tangents, mumbles his words, and sometimes hardly answers the questions. For example, Uzi is asked by the interviewer to rate their own outfit from 1-10 and explain what they have on. However, it takes them a minute to give a semblance of an appropriate response. “I’m cooked but I gotta go drop Eternal Atake so I just came to put on anything”.

The interviewer just let it slide, but obviously, that project is a four-year-old release. Uzi starts to settle in a little bit later into the chat, but it hurts to see this. The hope is that they maybe had a little too much to drink or something not too harmful. However, as we stated earlier, fans are thinking it has something to do with the infamous nitrous oxide and/or the now infamously trending, Galaxy Gas. “the galaxy gas got him he stuck in 2019💔”, one user replies. “That just made me sad ngl”, another adds.

Lil Uzi Vert Fans Immediately Attribute Behavior To Galaxy Gas

If you remember, just about a month ago, Uzi was seemingly inhaling some of the dreaded nitrous oxide from a balloon in a recording studio. The video went viral, and it got a lot worried that he was letting addiction creep back into their life. Uzi has dealt with it in the past, and as you are all probably aware, its not an easy thing to remove. With that being said, we are wishing them the best if something more serious is indeed happening behind the scenes.

What are your thoughts on Lil Uzi Vert’s behavior in this interview? Do you think something is up, or are they just being goofy on purpose? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Lil Uzi Vert. A moment between Boosie Badazz, T.I., and their children is going viral on social media. Yelling at King Harris, T.I. asks what will happen if police show up and ask who the weapons belong to. “You got girls here, why don’t you talk about being in love,” he asks at one point.

In response to the viral video, fans have been praising Boosie and T.I. for taking action. Ebro Darden wrote in the comments to The Shade Room’s post: “First, why ya’ll rapping anyway? T.I. And Tiny Won $71 Million In Their OMG Girlz Lawsuit Against Toymakers MGA

T.I. and Tiny Harris have prevailed in their copyright infringement lawsuit against toy company MGA over its O.M.G. doll line. They won $71 million after a jury decided the toys did, in fact, infringe on the concept of the pop group OMG Girlz, which was created by Tiny and featured her daughter Zonnique “Star” Pullins.

According to Law360 (via Billboard), the couple was awarded $17.9 million in actual damages and $53.6 million in punitive damages after one day of deliberation following the three-week trial.

The couple first sued the company in 2021, alleging “cultural appropriation and outright theft of the intellectual property” in the design of the O.M.G. dolls, which recreated the look of a group of “young multicultural women.” While MGA argued that few would remember the “short-lived” pop group, the Harris’ case presented side-by-side images of their OMG Girlz, comparing dolls to each of the group’s four members: Pullins, Bahja “Beauty” Rodriguez, and Breaunna “Babydoll” Womack.

This latest trial was the third in the saga; the first, in January 2023, ended in mistrial after inadmissible evidence was presented in court, while the second was overturned on appeal after finding MGA not liable for copyright infringement. MGA can still appeal this latest decision.

The win was the second legal victory for the couple in as many months, after a judge dismissed the sexual assault case against them in August — the second such case to be dismissed.
