Flo Milli is the latest artist to join the Tiny Desk Concert series as NPR highlights nine Black female artists for Black Music Month. The sixteen-minute video features Milli performing with a live band and two backup singers for the first time, delivering stripped-down versions of six songs, including her hit “Never Lose Me.”

Victoria Monet experienced a monumental Father’s Day this month, as it became the first one she spent with her dad. “spending our first Father’s Day together ever,” the upcoming Megan collaborator wrote in a social media post, including a picture of the two together. “a real blessing! The little girl in me is so happyyyyyy, healing.” It’s a very heartening and wholesome development to witness, but it’s also one that has led to a lot of Internet speculation and possible, unexpected family reunions. Moreover, a woman claimed that this is her biological father as well, and that she is Monet’s half-sister.

“I’m glad you got a chance to meet him finally ,” the woman wrote of Victoria Monét and her father. “I’m 23 and haven’t seen him 20 years of my life…and he never bothered to reach out to me. Wow ANTHONY DETAMOORE or however u spell it !!! So Victoria Monet is my half sister ??” The “Alright” creative has yet to publicly respond to these claims at press time. Regardless, it’s not really any of our business to know what she thinks of this or how it makes her feel. After all, this seems like a very personal and complex process of learning about extended family… or it could be a clout-chase.

Victoria Monet’s Alleged Half-Sister Speaks Out

Obviously, this caused chaos in the replies of these tweets, with many validating the woman Zhanae’s narrative and others blasting her for it. But Victoria Monét’s alleged half-sister defended her right to tell her side of the story and to seek this reconnection. “My story deserves to be heard too,” she wrote of her alleged relationship to the 2024 BET Awards nominee. “how dare u spend time with ur other kids on Father’s Day like u are bettering your life and u have other kids out here . And I have reached out when I was younger he was not interested so u think imma reach out again ??? CRAZY”

Overall, this seems like a very tangled web with no strong indication of whether or not it will continue to play out in the public eye. Hopefully Victoria Monet doesn’t have to shift gears much as a result, as she already canceled some festival dates due to health issues. Still, it’s important to think sympathetically in these moments, especially concerning your loves ones. Whatever’s going on here, we’re sure it’s nothing that family can’t heal.

However, it is believed that Bronny will be taken by a team in the second round later today. The Los Angeles Lakers are the frontrunners to take him right now. However, teams like the Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns also reportedly have interest in the star. Needless to say, his hopes have not been dashed just yet. Even if he goes undrafted, he can still sign with a team as a free agent. Sure, it’s not as prestigious as being drafted, but plenty of players have had solid careers as undrafted free agents.

First Collaboration Ever Between JAY-Z and Nas Set to Hit Streaming

The first-ever collaboration between JAY-Z and Nas will soon be on streaming services. The collaboration was on “No Love Lost,” which was supposed to be on Shaq’s third album, You Can’t Stop The Reign.

According to Andrew Barber, the single will be available on streaming this Friday as part of Shaq’s album. You can get a tease of the release below.

Shaquille O’Neal and Jersey Legend Productions are bringing back hits from Shaq’s legendary hip-hop album You Can’t Stop The Reign, which was initially released in 1996 by O’Neal’s TWisM record label during his prominence in the NBA and the Hip-Hop scene.  The album paired him with some of the most iconic emcees of the time, including The Notorious B.I.G, Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, and Rakim, and also featured appearances from Bobby Brown, DJ Quik, and Ralph Tresvant, among others. 

The album’s title track, a nod to Shaq’s success on and off the court, as well as the musical prowess of B.I.G., became a Billboard Top 100 hit on the Hip-Hop/R&B Airplays and No. 17 on the official Dance Singles Chart.

The “You Can’t Stop The Reign” single is now available for the first time at all DSP, and the full album will be officially released on 6.28.24.

Sexyy Red hit social media, seemingly confirming she was romantically involved with Chief Keef, showing off his chain, including putting it in her underwear. “We got together now,” she wrote, tagging Keef. Keef and Red have become frequent collaborators.

In response, Kayla shared images with Sosa, and kicking off the drama, which Red responded “How I taste?”

The two then shared images of moments with Chief Keef, seemingly right after each other as he was in the same clothes. Kayla B also shared intimate moments with Keef writing, “First one to get pregnant wins.”

Quando Rondo Reaches Plea Agreement on Federal Drug Charges

Tyquian Bowman, widely recognized as Savannah rapper Quando Rondo, has reached a plea agreement. The court will now move forward to schedule a court date, given that both parties have agreed on the terms. According to WSAV-TV, no date has been set yet.

Quando Rondo was arrested on federal drug charges in Georgia.

According to the reports, Rondo was taken into custody without incident after the vehicle he was in was pulled over; however, the “routine” traffic stop was conducted solely to detain the 24-year-old on federal charges.

None of the other occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.

Rondo was indicted last summer, along with 18 other individuals, on state violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act due to his involvement in the Rollin’ 60 Crips organization.

Prosecutors allege that the “ABG” rapper instructed another defendant to negotiate weed prices and then traveled to Macon, GA, to pay the supplier.
