Lil Wayne Alleges Poor Treatment At Lakers Game

Lil Wayne put his beloved on blast last night, alleging that he was treated poorly at their win over Washington. “Wow! Got treated like sh-t at the Laker game just now but I figured they’d do me that sooner or later either bc of what i said abt AD or simply bc they don’t fwm which I been got that vibe from em as well so all good I get it. F-ck em. It isn’t what it isn’t. I’m used to it,” Wayne tweeted. However, he did not specify what being “treated like sh-t” entailed.

Furthermore, as Wayne noted, one theory he has for why he was treated poorly was his comments about Anthony Davis. Wayne had previously stated that he believed the Lakers couldn’t win a championship without trading Davis. However, Wayne has since walked back those comments and now believes that Davis is irreplaceable on the team. It remains to be seen if Wayne will elaborate on what went down last night.

Meanwhile, Wayne recently once again stated that he wants to headline the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans. However, Wayne revealed that he is yet to be contacted about the opportunity. “I will not lie to you, I have not got a call or nothing. But we are praying. We praying. We keeping our fingers crossed. I’m working hard. I’mma make sure this next album and everything I do is killer. I wanna just make it hard for them not to holler at the boy,” Wayne told the 4HUNNID podcast.

Wayne first broached his desire to do the show during an interview with Taylor Rooks and Bleacher Report last year. “Going to the Super Bowl and watching the Halftime Show and wishing, when you see the artist, you be like, ‘They could’ve sung the song that I was featured on!”. I’m featured on everybody’s song — you could’ve brought me out! Please do not feel disrespected if you’re an artist from New Orleans. Or an artist tied to me any kind of way in the music [industry], but know that’s my moment and I earned that moment. So no, I’m not bringing no one!” Wayne said. However, he later amended his statement to note that he would bring out Beyonce if she wanted to join him.

Earlier this week, Diddy was hit with yet another lawsuit, this time from male producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones. Lil Rod worked alongside Diddy on his Love album. He accuses the Bad Boy Records mogul of groping him, making him watch explicit videos, and more. He additionally alleges that Diddy told him he slept with two fellow celebrities, though their names have been redacted.

One of the individuals is described as “a Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj.” The other “performed at the Super Bowl and had a successful Vegas Residency.” Of course, these descriptions have led social media users to speculate. Many now theorize that Diddy might have slept with Meek Mill and Usher. Since these rumors started, Meek Mill has been fiercely defending his name on Twitter/X, insisting that he’s never had a sexual relationship with Diddy. In fact, the Philly-born MC believes that there are forces at play that want to bring him down, including DJ Akademiks.

Amid all of the chatter, Adam22 took to Twitter/X to weigh in yesterday, admitting that he felt a bit out of the loop. According to him, however, he took a brief intermission from social media just as the drama was unfolding. “I wasn’t on twitter yesterday,” he wrote. “So wait, who’s gay?”

While he may not have much to say about Diddy’s love life, he did recently share some intel about Drake’s viral explicit video, as well as rumors Drizzy leaked it himself. Kanye West Leaks Adidas Memo Allegedly Conspiring Against Him

Kanye West is not giving up in his battle with adidas to call out their business practices amid their new rollout of Yeezys. For those unaware, he claimed that this new initiative to sell the remaining sneaker inventory with new colorways emerged without his approval. Not only that, but Ye alleged that the company was still suing him for hundreds of millions of dollars and refusing to pay him. Now, he leaked an alleged adidas memo on Instagram on Thursday (February 29) that supposedly gives employees various “talking points” when it comes to their debacle. Specifically, it advises employees to “please refrain from extended conversations” about the clash and to emphasize the brand’s sole ownership of Yeezy designs, proper licensing and process of upholding contract agreements, and the years-long completed state of these new designs.

“This is the document that they give employees at adidas when asked questions about Yeezy,” Kanye West captioned the post. “There is an overlap to adidas and Kim ignoring my opinion on where my kids go to school or people ignoring my name change or the entire celebrity culture ostracizing me for my political opinion. It all comes down to human rights which you sacrifice when you’re stigmatized with mental issues. All these situations are actually far cr*zier than what I’ve been branded to be.”

Kanye West Calls Out Adidas Again

Furthermore, this news actually contrasts interestingly with the success of Ye’s Ty Dolla $ign collab album Vultures. Apparently, their listening events in various U.S. and European cities netted them about $12 million across all shows, which presumably all sold out. Still, that doesn’t change the antisemitic controversies, strained personal relationships, and combative business maneuvers that caused this adidas split. Kanye West is definitely making a valid point here, especially in terms of his mental condition, but it’s muddied by his methods.

Meanwhile, with rumors of his solo album Y3 apparently not being as true as fans thought, who knows what he could do next? Jake Paul Signs Boxer After Viral Confrontation

Jake Paul has signed Indian boxer Neeraj Goyat to his MVP label after their viral confrontation earlier this week. The two men had to be separated after Goyat pulled up on Paul in Puerto Rico, with footage of the incident quickly spreading online. Goyat is has repeatedly held the WBC Asia title and has been calling out Paul online for months. It’s now clear that the confrontation was staged to precede Goyat signing with MVP.

While Paul’s beef with Goyat, he has been known to harbor some genuine grudges. Last year, Paul took aim at fellow Ohio native Kid Cudi for his “astronomical” appearance fees. Paul claimed that he had reached out to Cudi about performing at his 2021 fight against Tyron Woodley. However, Cudi’s fee was just too much for Paul to afford. “I tried to get him to perform at the Tyron Woodley fight just before I came out and he asked for like, an astronomical fee that was like, ‘F-ck you.’ I get it, but it’s like, this was like some sh-t to tap in back with the city. Like, first event back from Covid,” Paul explained.

Furthermore, Paul argued that he gave discounts on his appearance fees when the City of Cleveland was involved. With Cudi out, Paul instead made his ring entrance to recordings of Machine Gun Kelly‘s “Till I Die” and Jeezy‘s “Put On”. Paul would go on to beat the retired MMA fighter via split decision.

As a young, Black photographer at the time, Normski wasn’t just taking pictures, he was part of the movement itself. Normski: Man with the Golden Shutter is the FIRST book that takes his most iconic images (several of which have been featured in the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture!) and surprising stories (it was Normski who introduced Run DMC to The Pet Shop Boys) into a glorious coffee table book that offers us a glimpse into hip hop history through his lens.

‘The Chi’ Season 6 Adds Kadeem Hardison, Leon, Brett Gray, and Daniel J. Watts

If you’re a fan of The Chi, well, it’s back for the second half of the sixth season. Here’s the drop on who’s who with cast additions. Shadow and Act confirmed that Kadeem Hardison, Leon, Brett Gray, and Daniel J. Watts have been added to the cast.

The sixth season continuation premieres on May 12 on both streaming and on-demand for Paramount+. Showtime subscribers can watch as well before it airs on linear Showtime.

If you recall, The Chi was created and executive-produced by Lena Waithe. Common also serves as executive producer. The series “is a timely coming-of-age story centering on a group of residents on the South Side of Chicago who become linked by coincidence but bonded by the need for connection and redemption.”

The rest of the Season 6 cast includes Jacob Latimore, Alex Hibbert, Yolonda Ross, Shamon Brown Jr., Michael V. Epps, Birgundi Baker, Luke James and Curtiss Cook. [WATCH] First Trailer For “Freaknik” Documentary Featuring 21 Savage, Jermaine Dupri, Lil Jon

The very first trailer for the forthcoming Freaknik documentary Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told, ATL’s pioneering HBCU festival that was popularized in the early 90s, has been released.

The in-depth doc features various celebrities speaking about going to Freaknik, including Jermaine Dupri, Rasheeda, and Jalen Rose. 21 Savage, Jermaine Dupri, and Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell are also featured in the documentary and serve as the film’s producers.

Jalen Rose recalls the days of Freaknik, saying “I don’t know what heaven looks like, but this seems like a version of it.”
