HoneyKomb Brazy Hit With Federal Gun Charge Indictment

According to a FOX 10 News report on Friday (January 26), HoneyKomb Brazy was just indicted on federal gun charges soon after his release on bond. Moreover, the rapper (real name Nashon Jones) and his two bodyguards, Miguel Wayne Hall and Mason Demetrius Fuller, were indicted specifically for illegal firearm possession. Furthermore, HoneyKomb and Fuller had restrictions in place preventing them from taking ownership of guns thanks to felony convictions in their past. On the other hand, Hall reportedly got an outright ban concerning firearm possession, stemming from a protection-from-abuse order against him from a Georgia judge.

For those unaware, the Mobile, Alabama MC and his entourage encountered police thanks to a traffic stop on December 18 of last year, which led to their subsequent arrest. Authorities alleged that, when they searched the vehicle, they found a Girsan MC 28 SAC 9mm pistol close to the driver’s seat. Not only that, but they also claimed to find a Smith & Wesson MP 15 AR pistol, Promethazine, and marijuana. As such, HoneyKomb Brazy’s original charges also included possession of a controlled substance and the “certain persons forbidden to possess a pistol” code.

HoneyKomb Brazy Indicted On Federal Gun Charges: Report

When news outlets and the media as a whole picked this up, folks also found out that federal law enforcement quickly involved themselves in this case. For example, a federal agent testified during a preliminary hearing that they monitored HoneyKomb Brazy before this arrest. This owed itself to his relation to multiple investigations in years prior, and he announced plans to take this to trial. Brazy reportedly saw freedom from jail in November of last year following 48 months served for possessing a gun as a person with a felony history.

Meanwhile, this development comes after he also spoke on other cases or legal actions within the rap world. Most recently, the Alabama artist walked back his accusation that Finesse2tymes snitched, which he did around the same time that folks found out that the feds were on him for some time. Hopefully this all clears up and he can focus on what he currently faces, not what already resolved. For more news and the latest updates on HoneyKomb Brazy, come back to HNHH.

Kai Cenat Upset By Lil Yachty “Streaming” Diss

Kai Cenat was severely tilted on a recent stream due to a seeming diss from Lil Yachty. Cenat was upset about a line in which Yachty appeared to take shots at “streamers” and “streaming”. “Yo what the f-ck. Who are you coming for n-gga?” Cenat exclaimed, squaring up at his camera. Cenat and Yachty have seemed pretty tight. He has previously appeared on Cenat’s stream and the two appeared in a short film together. It’s unclear how this beef will affect their relationship.

However, people think that Cenat has gotten the wrong end of the stick. “He means music streaming n-ggas reaching 💀,” one person noted. “Crazy how this weak a– sh-t is considered a diss 😂,” teased another. While Cenat appeared to realize his mistake toward the end of the clip, he certainly thought it was about him. Do you think that Yachty was dissing streamers? Or is Cenat overacting for the sake of content, as he often does? Let us know in the comments.

However, things went completely off the rails as he revealed the next six classes. With the highest grade of a C+, his cumulative GPA cratered to 2.23. 21 Savage Discusses Whether He Would Ever Sell His Entire Catalog

One phenomenon that has become increasingly common in music is artists selling their entire catalog’s for massive paydays. For a while it was older artists who were largely done recording music that sold their catalogs to companies who could license their songs out. But recently even some very active artists have taken that route. Most notably, Future sold almost his entire commercial music catalog last year for tens of millions of dollars. It’s a move that many other artists had thoughts about, most recently 21 Savage.

During an appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, Savage was asked if he would ever consider selling his catalog. To the surprise of some fans, he said yes without much hesitation. While he was sure about being open to the idea, he wasn’t committing to it. He discusses how his discography is relatively scant compared to some other artists and concludes that his decision to sell his catalog would depend on how much was offered and when it came. Check out his full answer to the question below.

21 Savage Open To Selling His Catalog

The catalog comments are just one of many points in Savage’s new interview that is drawing interest from fans. He also sparked some debates online for comments about parents. He claimed that having broke parents was better than having rich parents. While many online understood where he was coming from, not everybody agreed with his sentiment.

He also told a detailed account of being shot on his 21st birthday. He took fans through his emotions throughout the entire saga and gave explicit details about the shooting itself and the medical treatment that followed. It was a surprisingly harrowing story that spread quickly online as fans unpacked the sheer detail and vulnerability of it all. Savage’s interview is a far cry from that of Katt Williams, who went viral earlier this year after delivering some truly wild stories on Club Shay Shay. What do you think of 21 Savage being open to potentially selling his music in the future? Let us know in the comment section below.

Ebro Calls Nicki Minaj & Megan Thee Stallion’s Feud “Promo”

Megan Thee Stallion recently unleashed her new single “Hiss,” and it’s managed to get fans talking, to say the least. The track takes aim at those who’ve spoken down to Meg in the past, and includes notable jabs toward peers like Nicki Minaj. Of course, the release has prompted an all-out war between the Hotties and the Barbz, and Nicki is already gearing up to drop her response, “Big Foot.”

While the shade doesn’t necessarily come as a surprise, as Meg and Nicki have had their fair share of differences in the past, this latest development has been nothing short of explosive. Countless fans and peers have taken to social media to weigh in, including Ebro. He recently hopped on Twitter to share his thoughts on the debacle, but according to him, it’s nothing but a promotional tactic.

Ebro Reacts To Megan Thee Stallion & Nicki Minaj Feud

“This Nicki and Megan promo is moving,” he wrote simply earlier today. This is far from the first time an artist has been accused of manufacturing beef to boost their record sales. Regardless, the chaos unfolding on Twitter suggests that plenty of fans are convinced that the feud is completely genuine. The jabs in “Hiss” also hit a bit close to home for Meg’s distaste for Nicki to be fabricated. She seemingly calls out Nicki’s husband Kenneth Petty, for one, who’s a registered sex offender.

“These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law/I don’t really know what the problem is, but I guarantee y’all don’t want me to start/B*tch, you a p*ssy (You a p*ssy), never finna check me (Yeah),” she rhymes. What do you think of Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj’s beef? What about Ebro’s take on the debacle? Are you a fan of Meg’s new track? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Russ Returns With The Guitar-Strumming ‘Drives,’ An Alt-Rock Throwback

Uproxx cover star Russ might be best known for his beats-and-bars approach to straightforward rap or crooning through R&B ballads, but on his latest single “Drives” — his first of 2024 — he dips into a new well of inspiration: millennial soft rock akin to Plain White T’s’ 2006 hit “Hey There Delilah.”

Strumming an acoustic guitar and putting on a surprisingly adept falsetto, Russ reels off a tale of heartbreak (although it’s told from a third-person perspective this time around). Russ narrates as his sad protagonist smokes a bowl and hits the road while reflecting on her messy past relationships.

However, this time around, she learns her lesson; instead of going back to an old flame who flamed out, she looks forward to the future. It’s not exactly optimistic but there’s a thread of hope and resilience humming along under all of it. It’s pretty and plaintive, and honestly, I couldn’t be too mad at him for switching lanes for a while and seeing where “Drives” — and more tunes like it — will take him.

The Atlanta entertainer explained the departure in a post on Twitter, encouraging artists to make music that they want, not just what’s popular or expected. It’s good advice. Check out “Drives” above.

Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Hiss’ Video Is A Surrealistic Celebration Of Self

Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hiss” video continues the snake-y theme of her last single, “Cobra,” but adding some more surrealistic imagery that celebrates Megan herself.

The opening shot features an embryonic Megan gestating inside a snake egg, then the video slithers swiftly through a series of stunning shots of Megan surrounded by reflections of herself, including a dogpile of nude body parts, an Alice In Wonderland-like tiny room, and a literal hall of mirrors. She also watches herself on a wall of dozens of screens showing her performing and rocks a Cruella DeVille-esque black-and-white ensemble. Even more snake imagery appears at the end and throughout, Thee Stallion styles in a slew of slinky, risqué looks showing off her hard-earned curves.

“Hiss” continues the rollout of Meg’s first independent album, on which she’s promised to take to task all of the forces that aligned to try to bring her down in the past few years. The song itself contains a series of strategic strikes against those who’ve wronged her, from Nicki Minaj to all the men who made light of her shooting by Tory Lanez.

Ice Spice Twerks All Over Miami In Her Laid-Back ‘Think U The Sh*t (Fart)’ Video

Ice Spice may be a New Yorker, born and raised, but that didn’t stop her from shooting her raucous “Think U The Sh*t (Fart)” video on Miami’s iconic Ocean Drive. From cruising the bay in a speedboat to turning up on the beach, Ice Spice and her crew show off their assets and twerk up a tornado in the video, which very much resembles her clips for “In Ha Mood” and “Deli.”

Something tells me the bigger budget, higher concept videos are still in the works as Ice Spice prepares to release her debut album sometime this year. For now, it just looks like she’s having the time of her life and still enjoying her meteoric rise the way any 24-year-old would.

Even before Ice released the video, “Think U The Sh*t (Fart)” was already generating buzz among fans, as many interpreted the song as a bit of a diss record directed at Latto. In an apparent callback to Latto’s 2023 hit “Put It On Da Floor,” Spice raps, ““I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up / She all on the floor, told her get up / She my son, but I ain’t her mammy / Bitches can’t stand me.”

Whether or not that means her rumored beef with Latto is really happening, it certainly looks like the anticipation for Ice Spice’s inevitable album release is going to be sky high.
