Flyana Boss Are Craving Sweet Treats On Their New Single “Candyman”

California boasts a lot of interesting rap personalities and Flyana Boss is in that mix without a doubt. The colorful duo of Bobbi LaNea and Folayan have been in the game since the turn of the 2020 decade and they like to drop bangers of all sorts. One of the more recent songs we covered of theirs was a remix of “You Wish.” That featured one of the greatest female MCs of all time, Missy Elliott, and Kaliii.

In fact, that was the last we spoke of them. But, we are glad to announce their next appearance on the HNHH site. However, before we get to that, let us recap what got them to drop “Candyman,” their newest single. “B**** Imma Star” immediately followed “You Wish (Remix)” and that one is a rauchy banger with all sorts of bounce and interesting lyrics. “Big One” is another fun is a big and bold braggadocious cut that also makes a clear sexual innuendo.

Fans Call For Azealia Banks To Weigh In On Nicki Minaj & Megan Thee Stallion Beef

Fans on TikTok have asked for Azealia Banks to weigh in on the current beef between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion. “Where’s Azealia Banks [3x Shouting Emojis, 2x Sobbing Emojis]. We need you honey,” one commentator wrote on the app. Many other commenters joined in, asking for the controversial musician to weigh in. It remains to be seen if Banks will step into the arena and share her thoughts on the drama that has captured social media’s attention.

Banks has previously stepped in to protect Minaj. When Minaj was feuding with Kanye West over her refusal to clear “New Body”, Banks went after West. “Okay. Now I’m really pissed the f-ck off. Regardless of how I feel about PF2, did fat smelly loser Kanye west really just try step all over Nicki’s release? Did I hear correctly when he tried to take credit for supporting her career?????” Banks wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Who Is Roman Zolanski? Fans Discuss Problematic Nicki Minaj Alter Ego

Meanwhile, the current beef has led some fans to take a closer look at “Roman Zolanski”, the alter ego that Minaj occasionally drops verses as. However, many fans are now only learning for the first time that Minaj has never shied from Roman’s name being a play on that of Roman Polanski. Polanski is an Oscar-winning director who is perhaps best known for pleading guilty to statutory rape of a minor. The girl was 13 at the time of the rape and had also been drugged by Polanski.

This has all been thrown into sharp relief after Megan’s diss on “Hiss” which took aim at Minaj’s husband. Kenneth Petty is also a convicted sex offender, having served four years in prison for the attempted rape of a minor in 1996. Some people believe Megan went too far. However, many others are starting to see the many problematic links that Minaj has to child sex offenders.

Artists have made their debuts, femcees have gone for each other’s throats, and rappers have unveiled their eagerly-anticipated LPs. Megan Thee Stallion quite literally kicks things off by saying “f*ck y’all,” unleashing her inner snake on “Hiss.” The track sees the Houston hottie take aim at critics and reignite her messy feud with Nicki Minaj. She describes the track as a “warning,” and it goes without saying that she got the message across. The song is unapologetic and bold, with Meg notifying haters that she’s not only here to stay, but here to conquer.

Ice Spice also came through with a read this week on “Think U the Sh*t (Fart),” reminding listeners that no other MC can come close. The Bronx-born baddie lends her signature, focused flow to carefree bars about breaking hearts and taking names on a track grounded by bubby, fun production. Curren$y & Trauma Tone Curate Eight New Songs For “Highway 600 (Deluxe)”

Longtime hip-hop veterans Curren$y and Trauma Tone dropped their newest collaboration project, Highway 600. They did so back in the middle of December in 2023. It was a condensed, nine-track project that went light on the features and brought loads of kick back vibes. If you had to conjure up an album that was meant for those easy-breezy nights at the crib, this would be it.

Curren$y was following up three other LPs before this one. It was another busy year for the Lousiana product, as he also squeezed out 14 singles. Some of the highlights from Highway 600 include the Don Toliver cut “Coming Home” and “All F****d Up.” Now, the rapper and producer duo is delivering a deluxe featuring eight new songs.

The new format of the tracklist places the newest additions ahead of the originals. Wiz Khalifa also joins the fray for one of many collabs with Curren$y. They do so on the third entry “What She In It For?” What is also changed up is the cover art. Whoever designed the original artwork did a great job, but this new one may fit the vibe of the album even better. The same car finds it way onto the cover, but this time, it is parked in front of a gorgeous sunset with a nice city skyline. Give the new deluxe a listen with the links.

Nicki Minaj Congratulates Her Frenemy Ben Shapiro On His Diss Record Aimed At Her Landing On iTunes’ Rap Charts

Over the past few days, Nicki Minaj has been tangled up in a nasty feud with her former collaborator Megan Thee Stallion, with the two leading ladies of rap exchanging vicious blows over their songs. But they weren’t the only folks hitting the recording studio to air such grievances. Political pundit Ben Shapiro also decided to put his haters on notice with a diss record of his own.

Shapiro’s song “Facts” has earned him his first No. 1 on iTunes’ music charts (according to Pop Vortex). On the single, the far right pundit takes aim at several musicians, including Nicki. After gaining wind of the accomplishment, instead of slamming Shapiro, Nicki took to X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate her frenemy on the milestone.

“I just listened to it, Ben Shapiro, not bad,” she wrote. “Congrats on #1. But it definitely sounds like ‘Roman’s Revenge’ when the beat first came in… I don’t know.”

Nicki couldn’t help but find humor in the matter. “Ben Shapiro put out a diss record,” she wrote. “He said his comment sections are filled with woke Karens. The song is #1 on US iTunes. What is really happening, and who is that other man rapping? Is this real life? He said, ‘Nicki, take some notes.’ Nah. Ayo nah.”

Shapiro rushed to X for his own victory lap. “I just want to thank God, Tom MacDonald, and my parents, who paid for 15 years of classical violin lessons so I could become the #1 rapper in America,” he wrote.

The song also features jabs at Cardi B. Listen to Ben Shapiro’s song “Facts” below.

1999 WRITE THE FUTURE Has Another One With “Silence STArEs Me Down” Featuring Rich Brian & Cuco

1999 WRITE THE FUTURE, an ever-growing hip-hop collective that is overseen by 88rising and RCA Records, is showing why they belong. It formed in late 2023, but its impact is already being felt. Rich Brian has been a big reason why it is quickly spreading like wildfire. Since he is tied to the 88rising label, the Indonesian multi-hyphenate has been placed on a handful of tracks already.

Every single one he has been on has brought its unique energy. The first of which was “WORLD STOP TURNING” with Warren Hue and Zion.T. It was also the inaugural 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE song. Then, he, Rick Ross, and redveil worked together for “LiGhT rAiLs.” Perhaps the biggest banger from Brian and 1999, redveil brought a tremendous beat with chipmunk soul vocals woven into the production.

Now, he is back to promote this exciting set of collaborations with indie/bedroom pop singer Cuco. “silence STArEs me down” is a somber track about loneliness and not being able to take on the world with someone you love. Cuco brings a simple, short, but catchy chorus that has an earworm of a melody once you hear it. “And I know that if I really try / I can bring myself to make it right / I just gotta understand what’s happenin’ when silence stares me down.” Brian and Cuco also did a karaoke-style performance of the track, so be sure to check that out as well.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single, “silence STArEs me down” by 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE, Rich Brian, and Cuco? Is this the best track that 1999 has come out with so far? I took an exit, then I met the onе that really cracked my smile
I didn’t еxpect it, but plans are laughable, when times divine
With you, I’m always tryna spend like an hour more
But you said that we not together, the fuck are these flowers for?

Nicki Minaj Reacts To Ben Shapiro’s Diss Track: “Is This Real Life?”

It goes without saying that conservative commentator Ben Shapiro isn’t what one would call a hip-hop head. He frequently takes aim at artists like Sexyy Red, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and more for their raunchy verses, accusing them of perpetuating negative stereotypes about women. Of course, Nicki Minaj hasn’t gotten away unscathed either, as he recently laid into her on a track of his own, “Facts.”

He teamed up with Tom MacDonald for the bizarre single, insisting Nicki “take some notes” from him. “My comment section all woke Karens/ And I make racks off compound interest/ Y’all live with your parents/ Nicki, take some notes, I just did this for fun/ All my people download this/ Let’s get a Billboard number one,” he rhymes. Listeners can agree that his flow could use some serious work, but according to Nicki herself, it’s “not bad.”

Nicki Minaj Is Confused

She took to Twitter today to share her response to the song, appearing taken aback and bewildered by the whole thing. “I just listened to it @benshapiro not bad,” she began. “Congrats on #1. But it def sounds like Roman’s Revenge when the beat first came in…idk.” Upon further inspection, however, Nicki took issue with some of Shapiro’s bars. She also expressed confusion over the song reaching No. 1 on iTunes.

“Ben Shapiro put out a diss record. He said his comment sections are filled with woke Karens. The song is #1 on US iTunes. What is rlly happening & whos is that other man rapping???? Is this real life??!! He said ‘Nicki take some notes’ nah AYO nah,” she wrote alongside various laughing emojis. Fans are just as confused as she is. Nonetheless, Shapiro continues to boast about the track’s success on Twitter, even recently changing his bio to “America’s #1 Rapper.” What do you think of Ben Shapiro dropping “Facts” with Tom MacDonald and dissing Nicki Minaj? What about her response? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
