The Game, Hit-Boy & Big Hit Drop Surprise Mixtape “Paisley Dreams”: Stream

Happy New Year to all, and to welcome us into 2024, we have The Game and Big Hit’s new collaborative nine-track mixtape Paisley Dreams, produced by the latter’s son, the one and only Hit-Boy. Moreover, this new project follows the father-son duo’s recent collaborative album, which marks Big Hit’s debut full-length release. Not only that, but this new record was the product of an impromptu studio session which turned into a sharp and focused process. It released right on New Year’s Day 2024, and it’s a no-frills collection of hardened boom-bap and G-funk, soulful chops, vividly confident and boisterous bars, and excellent chemistry between its MCs. These artists also took to social media to share some revelations about Paisley Dreams.

“I pulled on @hitboy & @bighit 3 days ago to do 1 song,” The Game expressed on Instagram. “Stayed a few hours & ended up doing a 9 song tape that night. I’m not here to ask you to stream it or download it. I’m just a man, telling his fans a story about last night & the night before.” “The Game pulled up on me and Big Hit 4 days ago,” Hit-Boy wrote on his IG post about the release. “and i was thinking maybe we ask him to get on the ‘Bang Freestyle’ remix or something at MOST. But instead he locked in with us for the rest of the night and we made a 9 song album.” This follows an incredibly prolific run for the producer in 2023, as he dropped multiple albums including the finale of his Nas run, Magic 3.

Uncle Murda References Sexyy Red, Young Thug & More On “Rap Up 2023”: Stream

As is tradition at this point, Uncle Murda summarized a lot of pop culture and hip-hop’s biggest events of the year on his new song “Rap Up 2023.” However, in contrast to previous years, it looks like this is actually part one of three, the next of which will hopefully come in the near future. As such, we know that he has so much more to talk about when it comes to some of the last 365 days’ biggest stories, perhaps over the same sample of Mary J. Blige’s “All Night Long.” Moreover, when it comes to the song, there’s not a lot to say here. The beat is classic New York all the way and the G-Unit rapper’s flows and delivery is a little choppy.

Still, that’s understandable considering all the different topics that come up on the first part of “Rap Up 2023.” Blueface, Chrisean Rock, Sexyy Red, Andre 3000’s new album, Offset, Cardi B, Donald Trump, Jamie Foxx, Young Thug, Gunna, Lil Baby, and so many more get a mention here for their various headlines. There’s also the Remy Ma and Papoose cheating drama, Keke Palmer’s scandal with Darius Jackson, the Lizzo lawsuits, Boosie and T.I.’s relationship, and the list goes on. Not everyone’s a fan of these cuts, but it’s at least entertaining to hear these takes and the stories link together. The Brooklyn MC held no punches through controversial assessments and wild claims.

Meanwhile, he also hinted at fully diving into the Diddy accusations in the next parts of this installment. Kanye West’s ghostwriter was still able to fit a lot into this track. Other celebrities include Da Brat, Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez, Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert, Nicki Minaj and Elliott Wilson, etc. We won’t spoil his observations. If you haven’t heard “Rap Up 2023” yet, give it a listen on YouTube above and check out one of his many sets of analytically referential bars down below. Also, come back to HNHH for more hot music releases around the clock from Uncle Murda and the rest of the game.

Quotable Lyrics:
Blueface still saying that kid ain’t his,
He said Chrisean f***ed Offset in Cardi B’s crib,
He really went to the Internet to go write that,
If it’s true, how you gon’ snitch on Offset like that?

Cardi B Previews New Music And Parties With Offset For New Year’s

A pretty turbulent few weeks for one of rap music’s definitive couples could be heading towards better places soon. He wrote on Twitter, last month: “Me and @zaytovenbeatz probably got 100 [fire emoji] beats by now. I got on here to ask you guys what artist should we do a tape with first but now I’m thinking maybe it should be a compilation tape of various artists over these masterpieces!” In another post, he added: “The sound of these beats me and @zaytovenbeatz make together are so unique like nothing my ears have ever heard before. I think we need a name as a production duo.. any ideas?” Check out Juicy J’s recent response to Metro below.

Ice Spice Celebrates Her Birthday With Raunchy Photo Dump

While most people spent last night celebrating 2023 becoming 2024, Ice Spice had another reason for festivities. The breakout rapper had a huge year in 2023 including multiple top 10 hits among high-profile collabs with Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, and PinkPantheress. What’s even more impressive is that she achieved that feat at such a young age. She pulled off all of that success before even turning 24.

Now just as the calendar switches to 2024 the star rapper is celebrating her own 24th birthday. She’s never been a stranger to attention-grabbing Instagram posts throughout her breakthrough but this could be the most magnetizing one yet. “hbd 2 me,” Spice captioned a new post celebrating her big day. The post itself contains seven pictures of the rapper sporting a very see-through black dress with some glittery gold heels and a purse to accent. The post is headlined by a particularly scandalous first picture that isn’t leaving much to the imagination and has fans sharing thirsty reactions in bulk. Check out the full post below.

Unsurprisingly, some fellow celebs like Yung Miami and Skai Jackson popped up in the comments to congratulate Ice Spice on her big day. Others showed up to thirst over the pictures she shared. Soulja Boy pulled up in her comments to say “Gyatt. Damn. Happy ice day.” He was far from the only one as hundreds of fans rushed to the comments to share their thirsty thoughts after seeing the pictures she dropped.

2024 has the chance to be an even bigger year for Spice than 2023. Recently her main producer claimed that her debut album could be coming soon. That would go in line with promises she’s made to fans already telling them to expect big things. Alongside another breakout rap star this year, Spice was one of the most searched music trends of 2023. Both she and Sexyy Red popped up on the list of artists who had massive spikes in searches this year. What do you think of Ice Spice’s birthday photo dump? Let us know in the comment section below.

[WATCH] Uncle Murda Delivers Another Epic Yearly Recap: ‘Rap Up 2023’

uncle murda e1391310582740

Brooklyn rap veteran Uncle Murda has once again delivered his annual “Rap Up” song, and this year’s edition doesn’t shy away from humor and brutal commentary aimed at various figures in the music industry. Released on January 1, “Rap Up 2023” recaps the drama and headlines of the past year in a six-minute track that covers a range of topics.

One of the notable mentions in the song is aimed at André 3000 and his solo album, “New Blue Sun.” Murda doesn’t hold back, expressing his disappointment and echoing sentiments shared by others in the industry. He raps, “André 3000 finally put some shit out, honestly, he was better off not putting shit out.” The critique extends to André 3000’s choice of playing the flute on the album.

Sexyy Red, one of the breakout stars of 2023 and HipHopDX’s Rookie of the Year, also faces Uncle Murda’s commentary. Murda references a sex tape involving Sexyy Red and offers advice to the artist, urging her to take precautions to avoid STDs.

The ongoing tension around the YSL RICO trial is addressed, with Uncle Murda calling on Young Thug to clarify the allegations that Gunna is a “snitch.” He reluctantly gives props to Gunna’s album “A Gift & A Curse.”

The track doesn’t shy away from controversial subjects, tackling issues such as Remy Ma allegedly cheating on Papoose, Keke Palmer’s claims of abuse against her ex Darius Jackson, and Jamie Foxx’s “medical complication,” which Uncle Murda suggests may be related to “bad coke.”

Boosie Badazz and T.I.’s tumultuous relationship, Lizzo’s sexual harassment lawsuit, and Blueface’s claims are also discussed in the song. However, one delicate subject left untouched is the string of sexual assault lawsuits filed against Diddy. Uncle Murda hints that he “might” address these in an upcoming “part two” of the song.
