[WATCH] Suge Knight Says He Won’t Testify Against Keefe D in Tupac’s Murder Case

This week, it was revealed that Duane “Keefe D” Davis was arrested for his involvement in the murder of Tupac Shakur on the Las Vegas strip on September 7, 1996. Ever since the shooting death of Shakur 27 years ago, there have been many theories and suspects who have been blamed for the rapper/actor’s untimely death, but Marion “Suge” Knight has always been in the center of the controversy as Shakur’s former label head at Death Row Records. While serving a 28-year sentence in prison for voluntary manslaughter, Sugwe has spoken for the first time about the arrest of Duane “Keefe D” Davis.

TMZ spoke to Knight following the monumental arrest, with him saying that he was sorry Davis was arrested for the crime and said that he would not be testifying against Davis.

Here’s An Explanation Of Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs’ Album Cover From Its Artist, Adonis Graham

Drake loves surprises. He surprised fans with “Slime You Out” featuring SZA last month. He surprised Halle Berry by using her image and likeness for the cover of “Slime You Out,” without her permission. And though it surprised absolutely nobody when “Slime You Out,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Drake couldn’t help but toss out another unexpected single on Thursday morning, October 5.

“8AM In Charlotte” arrived exclusively on Instagram alongside a video starring Adonis Graham, his nearly six-year-old son who drew the cover for Drake’s imminent For All The Dogs album cover. In it, an off-camera Drake asks Adonis to “tell me about your beautiful piece of artwork that you sold me.”

“So, it’s the same story,” Adonis said. “So, the goat was running away from the other monsters and the other animals, and a flower [was] blocking the way. So, the flower was on fire. The racing car was maybe helping the goat, and there was some stairs who’s like a jail stairs, and there was one person who was, like, on top, and he got killed by the track.”

And when Drake wanted to confirm whether what Adonis just said was “like a little story,” Adonis muttered “yes” in an exasperated tone that suggested, Duh, Dad, what else would it be? Drake then asked why Adonis drew the letters “SBW,” which led to an explanation that Adonis simply wanted to write those letters without any further meaning, but then we got to the good stuff.

“And Daddy’s name is next to the goat,” Drake said. “Does that mean that he’s the GOAT?” Adonis, again, confirms with a hushed “yes,” followed by an elaboration that the character is actually “Daddy GOAT,” but Adonis drew the line at disclosing how much he was compensated for his drawing (“Oh, please”).

Drake has yet to confirm the For All The Dogs tracklist, but considering the album is due out at midnight (October 6), we can probably assume that “8AM In Charlotte” will be on it. But then again, he does love surprises.

Lil Tay Swatted, Accuses “Psycho” Father

Social media star Lil Tay has claimed that her home was recently swatted. Furthermore, Tay accused her “psycho” father, Chris Hope, of being behind the incident. “[He] swatted me to prevent me from continuing to expose his racism, misogyny, sexually abusive behavior, and domestic violence. You cannot fucking stop me. You cannot fucking silence me,” Tay said in an Instagram video. She went on to refer to him as a “psycho” and said she was speaking out for “all the girls and women”. Hope has not responded, at least publicly, to any of the allegations made by his daughter.

Swatting, the act of falsely alerting law enforcement to a serious crime at a private residence, has become more and more common in recent years. It became a common online prank often leveled against streamers and other internet personalities. Furthermore, Nicki Minaj has reportedly been the victim of numerous swatting attempts this year alone.

Tay’s latest comments are just her most recent defiance of her father, who was reportedly behind her abrupt social media exit five years ago. In a recent livestream, Tay made disturbing allegations against her father. Tay, whom Christopher consistently referred to as “Claire” during the recent death hoax, labeled her father as a sexual deviant. She alleged that her father used Craigslist to seek female companionship and that his current wife, Hanee, is a “scammer”.

Furthermore, and perhaps more disturbingly, Tay alleged that her father would perform sexual acts in front of her. “Inappropriate sexual behavior” was reportedly “normalized” in her father’s house. Additionally, Tay said that her father would “do the most out-of-pocket sexual shit” in front of her. While shocking, some people have already called cap. Some have pointed to her recent “SUCKER 4 GREEN” video as proof that Tay has not moved to a better environment.

Kevin Durant And Jayson Tatum Invest In Women’s Volleyball League

Kevin Durant and Jayson Tatum are among the famous faces investing in a new women’s volleyball league. League One Volleyball, which is set to begin play in Fall 2024, received $35 million in its latest round of fundraising. Durant and Tatum were joined by celebrity backers such as Amy Schumer in more than doubling the league’s first funding round.

The league, which features a number of Olympians as players, will begin its first preseason in November 2024. It will then run its first regular season between January and April 2025. Six teams based in Atlanta, Houston, Madison, Omaha, Salt Lake City, and another location to be named later will compete in the league. It’s one of three new pro volleyball leagues that are set to begin playing next year. The Athletes Unlimited Volleyball league will be a more unique tournament format without set rosters. Meanwhile, the Pro Volleyball Federation will be a six-team league and main rival to the LOVB.

Furthermore, the announcement of the major funding goal, and the support of famous athletes like Kevin Durant and Jayson Tatum comes weeks after one of the most impactful moments in the sport’s history. In late August, the University of Nebraska broke the record for the highest attendance at a women’s sporting event with their open-air “volleyball day”. After months of preparation, the Huskers hosted a volleyball doubleheader on a specially constructed court at Memorial Stadium. Additionally, the stadium typically serves as the home of the school’s football team. The official attendance was announced at 92,003. That broke the record set by a Women’s Champions League soccer match in April 2022. The previous US record was the 1999 Women’s World Cup Final between the USA and China.

“It’s incredible. I don’t have enough words to describe it,” Nebraska middle blocker Andi Jackson said. “We were walking out of the tunnel after the second set, and we heard on the speaker we had just broken the world record. Everyone was trying to stay locked in, but we were also so excited. I can’t describe how grateful I am to be a part of it.” Meanwhile, the Huskers have started the 2023 season 13-0. Furthermore, they are currently ranked #2 in the country behind Big Ten rivals Wisconsin.

YNW Melly Arraigned On Witness Tampering Charges In New Video: Watch

YNW Melly is currently in the midst of a difficult trial. Overall, he has been in custody for the better part of five years. Although his first go-around was considered a “mistrial,” he now has to do it all over again. On October 9th, jury selection will begin. The first time around, jury selection took a very long time. Consequently, there is a belief that it will be yet another lengthy process that could prove to be very cumbersome. His lawyers are sounding the alarm, and they believe the case should be dismissed, altogether.

Unfortunately for YNW Melly and his co-defendant, YNW Bortlen, things have taken a drastic turn this week. Bortlen’s home was raided by the authorities, and he was subsequently brought up on witness tampering charges. The following day, Melly was brought up on similar charges, much to his chagrin. Now, according to Bryson “Boom” Paul, we have footage of Melly’s appearance in “Bond Court.”

Melly’s attorney was adamant that there is no probable cause here and that the charges don’t make much sense. However, it does not seem like the charges are going away, in any reasonable capacity. Instead, a woman in the video can be heard saying “No Bond.” Needless to say, this is another charge in which Melly will not be able to seek any freedom. For now, he is stuck in jail, and that process could continue to play out for months as his second trial will begin quite soon.

This trial is going to be very high profile, although there is no telling when arguments will even begin. Nas Will Finally Release Long-Lost “I AM… THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY” In Original Form

Nas’ third studio album, I Am marked a shift in technology. Per Apple Music, the Queensbridge rapper was forced to scrap dozens of songs after his album was bootlegged via MP3 in one of the first major leaks to impact the music industry. Many of those records would land on projects like Lost Tapes Vol. 1 and Nastradamus. Still, he still had a vault of songs from that album we hoped would surface sooner rather than later.

It’s seemingly been guarded to prevent another leak from occurring but finally, Nas appears ready to release I AM… THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY in its original form. Per HipHopDX, the 1999 double-disc effort will drop as a vinyl on November 24th during Record Store Day’s Black Friday event. According to RSD’s official website, the vinyl “features 2 unreleased tracks, as well as many other rarities that have been on limited vinyl and 12″ previously, as well as deluxe packaging.”

There’s plenty of mystique surrounding I AM… THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY. The album was originally intended to be a conceptual effort following Nas’ life from birth to death and later, rebirth. The rapper and Columbia later rearranged the album to what we know now as I Am. The project boasted singles like “Hate Me Now” ft. Diddy and “Nas Is Like.” The former actually served as the inspiration behind “Young N***a” by Nipsey Hussle, whom the Queensbridge artist revealed was planning a documentary surrounding the album prior to his death.

For I AM…. THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY to come out will undoubtedly be a treat for Nas fans. That’s especially the case after his prolific run these past few years. Following the release of the Ye-produced Nasir, he asserted his dominance with two trilogies: King’s Disease and Magic, both produced entirely by Hit-Boy. Taylor Swift Content Focus Defended By NFL

The NFL has defended its heavy focus on Taylor Swift during her appearances at recent games as well as in social media content. “We frequently change our bios and profile imagery based on what’s happening in and around our games, as well as culturally. The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce news has been a pop cultural moment we’ve leaned into in real time, as it’s an intersection of sport and entertainment, and we’ve seen an incredible amount of positivity around the sport. The vast majority of our content has remained focused on the game, our players and variety of other initiatives, including our Toy Story Funday Football alt-cast, the international games and more,” the league said in a statement.

The defensive statement came hours after Kelce himself appeared to call out the league for the intense focus on his new relationship. “I think it’s fun when they show who all is at the game. I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you’re watching. But at the same time, I think they’re overdoing it a little bit for sure. Especially my situation,” Kelce said on his weekly podcast. With Swift watching the Chiefs beat the Jets in person, cuts to the singer were frequent. Some fans complained that Swift’s reaction was being prioritized over the action on the field. One notable example was when the broadcast cut away from an Isaiah Pacheco touchdown celebration to get Swift’ reaction.

Damian Lillard Files For Divorce From Wife Kay’La

Damian Lillard has filed for divorce from his wife Kay’La. Lillard filed the motion in Clackamas County Circuit Court and the news was first reported by the Willamette Week. The Lillards have been married since 2021 but have been together since their college days at Weber State. However, Lillard’s filing cites “irreconcilable differences” and suggests that the couple has been living apart since December 2022. The couple have three children together – a five-year-old and two-year-old twin daughters.

Furthermore, the October 2 filing came less than a week after Lillard was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. Given that the couple appears to have been separated for almost a year, it’s unclear what impact Lillard’s trade had on the decision to formally file for divorce. Lillard’s attorney did not respond to the Willamette Week‘s request for comment. Meanwhile, Lillard is not currently available to the media as he is attending the Bucks’ training camp.

Away from Lillard’s personal life, he will now have to regularly face a part of his own trade package. The Blazers traded Jrue Holiday to the Boston Celtics for two first-round picks, Robert Williams III, and Malcolm Brogdon. However, Holiday’s brief time in Portland was not unexpected. After acquiring the veteran defensive star, the Blazers had made it clear that they would be looking to trade him given their complement of young, developing players at the guard position. Holiday, who had 19.3 points and 7.4 assists per game last season, will likely become the Celtics’ starting point guard in place of Derrick White.

However, the move means that Holiday will now have several regular-season matchups against Dame, Giannis, and the Bucks. Giannis had expressed genuine sadness that acquiring Lillard had come at the cost of losing Holiday. “Jrue is my fucking brother for life. I love his family, I love him. I appreciate him and I wish him nothing but the best. He blessed me with a fucking championship. He’s the one who made that huge steal in Game 5 of the Finals.
