Finesse2Tymes Condemns Joining Gangs, Tells Fans To Seek Other Things

Memphis rapper Finesse2Tymes is a controversial figure in hip-hop, to say the least. His outlandish statements and acts have garnered much attention from the music community for better or worse. From saying he is a hybrid of some of the biggest trap legends in rap, to all of his legal issues with the law, Finesse always puts himself in the stickiest of situations. Most recently, the 2023 XXL Freshman came out with a new track, “Can’t Go To Jail,” amid a recent arrest. According to XXL, on August 25 Finesse2Tymes was handcuffed by Houston police for an outstanding warrant issued in 2018.

He was able to record the incident in the back of the police car during an Instagram Live. In the video, he says, “These folks won’t let me be great, just came lock me up for a warrant in 2018 [unamused face emoji] [man facepalming emoji] I’ll be back yaw [100 emoji].” He continues, “What don’t break n**** make a n**** [100 emoji]. Travis Scott Reveals Which Soundtrack He Wants To Do

Travis Scott continues to be one of the biggest artists in the world right now. Although he operates within hip-hop, his fame goes beyond the genre at this point. Following the release of his album Utopia, Scott spent a whopping four weeks at number one on the Billboard Albums chart. Overall, the album has gotten some great reviews, and it also has its fair share of haters. Regardless, Travis is winning right now, and he seems eager to get back into the studio for some creative endeavors.

It took Scott five years to release Utopia following Astroworld. However, moving forward, it seems like a five-year gap will not be happening again. In fact, perhaps Scott will be looking to go in the Kendrick Lamar direction. If you remember, Lamar did the soundtrack for the first Black Panther movie. Well, Scott is now displaying interest in doing his own superhero soundtrack. In the tweet below, Scott claims that he would love to be involved with Blade which is set to release in 2025.

Travis Scott Speaks

For those who may not know, Blade follows a half-human/half-vampire who hunts down vampires. Overall, he is a fantastic comic book hero that used to be played by Wesley Snipes. Now, however, the role is being given to Mahershala Ali. Ali is an incredible actor and fans are excited to see what kind of energy he will bring to the role. That said, Scott’s music is known for being dark, and it would certainly go well with the whole vampire theme. Needless to say, the artist needs to get in touch with the movie studio immediately.

Hopefully, Travis Scott is able to make this happen, as it would be a whole lot of fun. Let us know if you would like Scott to be part of the Blade soundtrack, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will always bring you the biggest news from the biggest artists.

50 Cent Compares Chris Brown To A Modern Day Michael Jackson

50 Cent has been no stranger to controversy recently. The rapper could potentially be in legal trouble after he recently threw a microphone into a crowd in frustration. He was upset with repeated audio issues holding back his performance, but the microphone he threw ended up hitting a woman in the crowd. Since the incident, he’s faced quite a bit of public backlash. He’s also become the subject of a battery investigation surrounding the incident.

Today on his Instagram, 50 Cent waded into even more controversy. He shared a painting that depicts Michael Jackson handing his crown off to Chris Brown. Fans in the comments quickly expressed their disagreement. “Bro this ain’t it, your smoking crack,” the top comment on the post reads. “Michael Jackson, still the king of pop,” another agrees. Travis Scott Called Dibs On The ‘Blade’ Soundtrack, Even Though The Movie’s Fate Is Up In The Air

At times, it seemed as if Travis Scott would never release his Utopia album. On July 28, he finally did, and it was worth the way. Utopia debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and stayed there for four consecutive weeks. Scott will also soon stage his Utopia — The Circus Maximus Tour, with tickets going on sale last week. Tickets went so quickly that Scott added more dates.

In other words, Scott isn’t intimidated by delays, so it’s unsurprising that he wants to soundtrack a movie that might never happen.

On Monday morning, September 4, Scott posted to X (formerly known as Twitter), “Woke up thinking I would love to do the soundtrack to Blade.”

In May, The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reported that Marvel Studios was “shutting down pre-production” on Blade, starring Mahershala Ali. The film was initially due to start filming in Atlanta in June, but that was nixed because of the ongoing Writers Guild Of America strike.

“That doesn’t mean a new Blade, with or without its two-time Oscar-winning star, will never happen,” Uproxx’s Matt Prigge explained at the time. “Marvel plans to restart pre-production when the strike ends, whenever that is. When/if it arrives, it will be the second big screen stab at the character, who was iconically played by Wesley Snipes over three films.”

Snoop Dogg Is Feeling Determined After Stephen A. Smith Joked About His Weight To Shannon Sharpe

Last September, Snoop Dogg visited Stephen A. Smith’s podcast and spilled some exclusive tea.

“You’re the first one to hear this,” Snoop told Stephen A. during the September 30, 2022 episode. “Me and Dr. Dre been working on an album for the past two months, and it’ll be done in November. And it’s produced by Dr. Dre. It’s our 30th anniversary to Doggystyle. And the name of the album is Missionary.”

One year on, Snoop and Stephen A. have given us another headline, as we wait on Missionary to materialize. This time, Stephen A. joined Shannon Sharpe’s podcast, Club Shay Shay. The Hall Of Fame NFL tight end offered to go to the gym with Smith, who couldn’t reject the invitation fast enough, and Snoop inexplicably caught a stray in the process.

“Listen, you want a meme that people will be laughing at me for the next two decades?” Smith said. “Have me in the gym with Shannon Sharpe. C’mon, man. That’s like The Rock standing next to Snoop Dogg. We ain’t doing that. Snoop is my dog. You know I love you, baby. I mean, come on, now. I ain’t doing that. I’m not getting in the gym with you.”

Snoop responded with a shirtless photo on Instagram, writing in the caption, “@stephenasmith @shannonsharpe84 I’m getting my weight up so when I come on the show will talk about [weightlifting emoji] Thanks 4 the motivation.”

Sharpe commented on the post with six flexing emojis.

Jess Hilarious Explains Why Erica Mena’s “Monkey” Spice Diss May Not Have Been A Racial Slur

Erica Mena hasn’t had much to say about her recent firing from Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, but the rest of the internet has. Cast members, viewers, and fellow celebrities have all been reflecting on the reality show’s decision to let the New Yorker go for calling Spice a “monkey.” A considerable amount of people are in favour of the decision. Some have even condemned Mena after perceiving her word choice as a racial slur. Others, like Jess Hilarious, don’t think that the socialite’s intention is as heinous as the public is making it out to be.

“That’s what I don’t get,” The Breakfast Club host began in her reaction video. “Every time they get into it, Erica Mena, they always bring that s**t up. That’s the only thing they can say about her, is something about her son. That’s what’s f**ked up. What’s wrong with her son?” Hilarious asked. As you may recall, the L&HH women only began feuding after Spice spoke negatively about her co-star’s child, which obviously triggered Mena.

Jess Hilarious Gives Erica Mena the Benefit of the Doubt

“I don’t think Erica was using it as a racial slur,” Jess observed. “Maybe Spice [looks] like a monkey to her. Whatever the f**k you look like, you look like,” the internet personality further insisted. “And the fact that they found it back in the dizzle, and it come on now, and then you choose to fire her for the backlash. You not even protecting your cast like you did,” her rant continued.

Since stepping in for Angela Yee on TBC, Jess Hilarious has brought a welcome female perspective to DJ Envy and Charlamagne’s discussions. Still, the comedian has faced backlash for some of her commentary, particularly surrounding DaniLeigh’s DUI arrest back in the spring. Steve Harwell Of Smash Mouth Passes Away At 56

Steve Harwell was the lead singer of the band Smash Mouth, which came to fame in the late 90s. Of course, they came up with the song “All-Star,” which is still an infamous song, even today. Unfortunately, it was revealed over the weekend that Harwell was going through some medical issues. He had been dealing with liver failure and was receiving hospice care. Overall, his manager Robert Hayes had made it clear that he wouldn’t be alive for much longer. Today, Harwell passed away at the age of 56.

As it turns out, Harwell retired from Smash Mouth about two years ago due to health complications. Numerous videos of Harwell performing erratically had made their way online, fueling rumors that he had an alcohol problem. However, Hayes made sure to remember Harwell on the best terms possible. As he told numerous publications in a statement, the former frontman was an “American original” who was an incredible artist. There was a lot of admiration in the statement.

“Steve’s iconic voice is one of the most recognizable voices from his generation. He loved the fans and loved to perform. Steve Harwell was a true American Original. A larger than life character who shot up into the sky like a Roman candle. Steve should be remembered for his unwavering focus and impassioned determination to reach the heights of pop stardom. And the fact that he achieved this near-impossible goal with very limited musical experience makes his accomplishments all the more remarkable. His only tools were his irrepressible charm and charisma, his fearlessly reckless ambition, and his king-size cajones. Steve lived a 100 percent full-throttle life. Burning brightly across the universe before burning out.”

Our thoughts are with Harwell’s family and friends during this very difficult time. Let us know your favorite Smash Mouth song, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world.

Lil Yachty Shares Letter He Received From Tay-K

Communication between Tay-K and his fans has been pretty limited. That’s obviously because the rapper is serving a 55-year prison sentence that was handed down shortly after he first broke onto the rap scene. Earlier this year he popped up periodically on various social media pages first by sending fans a letter via his Instagram story. He later thanked his fans for their response to the letter on Twitter.

Now, Lil Yachty has taken to his Instagram story to share that he’s also in communication with the young rapper. “Real n*gga @tayk47shawty” he captioned a picture of a letter he was sent by the rapper. While it’s unclear what the extent of their communication is, Yachty is giving a pretty clear cosign to the incarcerated Tay-K. In the comments of a repost of the picture, fans seem to wonder why so many are sticking their necks out for the “The Race” rapper when he won’t be released for decades. “I Can’t Wait Til bro gets released In 2089,” reads one of the top comments on the post. Check out the picture of the letter below.

Lil Yachty Shares Letter He Got From Tay-K

Despite his situation, Tay-K appears to still be working on new music. A track from the rapper was previewed in a trailer released for Rugr@ merch back in June. Lil Yachty has also been working on new music. Over the weekend he dropped a pair of new tracks with JID. The two songs released were a fan-favorite unreleased cut called “Van Gogh” and a Babytron collab called “Half Doin Dope.”

Lil Yachty also shared a new song called “TESLA” last weekend. The neon-tinged banger served as the 4th single from a currently unannounced upcoming project Yachty has been working on this year. It’s following up his shift into psychedelic rock music on Let’s Start Here earlier this year. What do you think of Lil Yachty and Tay-K being in touch while the latter is in prison? Let us know in the comment section below.

Travis Scott dropped his debut project Rodeo back in 2015. Overall, this is considered a classic by many, and it is still talked about, to this day. It is the album that helped solidify Travis’ sound and his place in mainstream hip-hop. Moreover, it stands as one of the best albums of the 2010s. There are some terrific songs that we could highlight here. However, today, we are taking a look at “3500” which features the likes of Future and 2 Chainz.
