Chloe Bailey is killing it in her solo era. This year, she released her debut album In Pieces and embarked on a solo tour. She and her sister, Halle, also released a line of activewear, and they teased that they will be hitting the studio to work on their third studio album as Chloe X Halle.
Today (September 5), Tiny Desk has dropped a special performance featuring Chloe Bailey, who performs solo as Chlöe.
During her Tiny Desk debut, Chlöe performed with an acoustic band, delivering some of her solo cuts.
She opened with “Surprise,” her sexy standalone single from 2022. She made a slight nod to Janet Jackson shortly after, saying “My name is Chlöe, Miss Bailey if you nasty,” making a smooth transition into the In Pieces fan favorite, “Body Do.”
Continuing with her momentum, she then performed “I Don’t Mind.” She slowed it down a bit with the performances on “In Pieces,” the title track from her solo debut album, which was co-written with Mikky Ekko.
While both of the Bailey sisters can guarantee us solid albums, their live performances always prove to be worth a watch. The work they put into their performances is unmatched by their peers, and promises longevity in the years to come.
The set times for Lollapalooza Berlin were announced a few weeks ago, but just in case you missed them, you can check them out below.
The two-day fest takes place this Saturday and Sunday, September 9 and 10, across six stages with acts like Ava Max, Zara Larsson, The Blaze, Mumford & Sons, David Guetta, Sam Fender, SDP, Macklemore, and Imagine Dragons playing the main stages. There’s also a Kidsapalooza Stage for the little ears in the audience.
If you’re planning a last-minute visit, Berlin’s official tourism website notes, “There were in the past often still remaining tickets for last-minute decisions to buy. But of course the entrance is cheaper for early bookers.”

The shimmering of SoFi Stadium was practically blinding.
It started with a seemingly simple request from someone who doesn’t usually ask for much. As Leo season concluded and Virgo season commenced, Beyoncé made a rare Instagram post asking that fans coming to her upcoming shows wear their “most fabulous silver fashions” to grant her a birthday wish. And suddenly, it didn’t matter that tickets were hard to get or that many fans had been waiting years for Beyoncé to roll back through town.
Folks by the tens of thousands took to Etsy, thrift stores, designer boutiques, and their parents’ closets to find something to fit the bill, to sparkle and shine in Beyoncé’s presence. Even the most casual of dude threw on some grey jeans or a charcoal shirt. At worst, as acclaimed writer Roxane Gay noted, it was a slight annoyance. But for the vast majority of eager participants, it was a chance to take an already special occasion and turn it into the kind of collective experience that is both exceedingly rare in contemporary life and increasingly successful when executed on a massive scale. From Barbenheimer to the Eras Tour, life in 2023 feels more vivid and vibrant when you are experiencing it en masse with others. And at the Renaissance Tour during Beyoncé’s birth season, that moment was bathed in chrome.
It made for fun people watching, as mirror ball-reflective cowboy hats and glittery body paint and retro suits and sequin dresses gathered in the state-of-the-art football stadium. It was enough for Beyoncé to beam with joy as she made her way through the set’s relatively relaxed opening numbers. She commented on how amazing those in the front looked with their distinct silver fits, smiling wide that so many had answered the call. And while the fans could feel content that they had granted Beyoncé’s “B-Day” request, the truth is that Beyoncé knew exactly what the fans needed to take an already monumental tour to the next level. It further cemented the sense of community, giving those in attendance a sort of uniform as Beyoncé supporters. And hell, it just looked really cool.
This is a defining trait of Beyoncé, an artist who displays pristine intentionality in everything she touches. While her evolution from standout girl-group member to generational musical force has developed over the decades, her choices keep finding the Venn diagram of what is right for Beyoncé and what her fans need looking more and more like a perfect circle. There was her 2013 Super Bowl triumph and adventurous return three years later; the surprise self-titled album release; the shift to more nuanced capital-A Art on Lemonade and its accompanying movie, a Coachella appearance that redefined what a festival set can be; and then, coming out of the pandemic, an album that pushed people out of their homes and into the shared spaces that felt like they might never return to. She’s a chessmaster thinking multiple moves ahead, giving fans exactly what they need and allowing them to feel like they are giving it right back.

But as much as fans did give it back to Beyoncé, it still always feels like a candle compared to a sun when in her presence. For nearly three hours on Friday night, she danced, sang, and presented an engrossing spectacle centered around her latest album. There were moments that felt specifically centered around Blackness, others that focused on femininity, and still others that honored the queer dance culture that heavily influenced the sound of the record. She provided her fans an in-person glimpse at the status of her first foray into motherhood as daughter Blue Ivy showcased the performer’s DNA that runs through her blood by dancing during “MY POWER.” She gave a rare opening set from DJ Khaled, who in turn paraded out a steady stream of rap royalty, including Coi Leray, Offset, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa, Roddy Ricch, and an abbreviated Lil Wayne, who unfortunately had microphone delay issues. And with her actual birthday falling on the last of her SoFi stops, Los Angeles got a special treat with the return of “The Big 3” as Beyoncé returned “THIQUE,” “ALL UP IN YOUR MIND,” and “Drunk In Love” to the setlist for only the third time on tour, while the actual birthday show on Monday saw appearances from Diana Ross and Kendrick Lamar.
Los Angeles might not have nailed the on-mute-moment during “ENERGY,” but they certainly were up for the key changes of the “Love On Top” singalong. Still, an element of the concert felt like Beyoncé preparing fans for the future. Beyoncé turned 42 yesterday, and while her time as a dancing, stadium-selling artist is far from over, she also proved that if she ever went the Adele route, she’s more than equipped to let her vocals be the star. The whole first portion of her set is geared around this, as she simply stands and sings and basks in the glory of the moment. Later in the set, she appears inside a giant sea shell that feels directly ripped from the Vegas crooners of yesteryear. If she ever does fully pivot in this direction, it will be for an audience that is aging with her.
But for now, Beyoncé is still proving that she can do it all, enrapturing millions of fans across continents with a massive show. She knows she can elicit screams by interpolating a tiny bit of “Say My Name” within “VIRGO’S GROOVE” or can bring chills to tens of thousands by simply saying “Los Angeles” in her unmistakeble, husky speaking voice. She knows she has an ace in her back pocket if and when she decides to release the visuals fans have been clamoring for. She’s a master for walking that tightrope of knowing the right amount of music, merch, and content to keep fans both satisfied and wanting more. The trust that people put in Beyoncé is well-earned, and was never more tangible than in the sparkling reflective color scheme across SoFi Stadium. Beyoncé asked for a gift, only so she could give one right back.
Jay-Z is no stranger to big names and big money, both of which are coming together at an upcoming event he’s hosting. In order to raise funds for his Reform Alliance, he’s having a high-stakes blackjack party with some extremely high-profile guests. According to Page Six, the event is limited to just 300 attendees and some of those expected to show up are Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Tom Brady, and Travis Scott. Kevin Hart has also been tapped to serve as the host and MC of the event.
Those actually participating in the high rollers event will pay $100k to attend the function. While nonplayers get off a bit easier and will pay just $50k to get in. The event is currently set to take place later this month on September 30. Guests will gather at the Ocean Resort & Casino in Atlantic City for the highly exclusive function. Insiders also report that the party’s theme was inspired by an event Jay-Z attended earlier this year. Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin hosted a Fourth of July party with an all-white dress code and Jay delivered a killer look. While other big stars in both music and sports have been rumored attendees, none have been confirmed quite yet.

Last week it was announced that Jay-Z would be putting his financial weight behind a viral case of wrongful arrest and police misconduct. Hov and Team ROC will help fund the defense of Jermelle English Jr. a Wisconsin man. English was beaten by police and arrested while they were looking for someone else, then still charged anyway.
Jay-Z also returned to Instagram last month, albeit only for one post so far. He started a new account on the platform to share a trailer for a film he executive produced which is dropping next year. Being the wife of a world-famous recording artist obviously can’t be easy. Things have grown more anxiety-inducing in the digital age when infidelity can be arranged with the click of a button. Yung Bleu’s wife, Tiemeria, unfortunately, learned that the hard way recently. She unfortunately found out about her man being unfaithful via a TikTok video. Another young woman named Tenom shared her story of being flown out by Bleu, however, he failed to acknowledge her in person after paying for her hair and various other beauty treatments.
After being berated by both women, the R&B artist later claimed that Tenom’s hygiene was beneath his standards, and made it clear that nothing happened between the two of them. She’s refuted his insults aimed at her, but Bleu has since been busy focusing his energy on more important matters, like beefing with Boosie Badazz and apologizing to Tiemeria. In a tweet that’s no longer available on his profile, the “You’re Mines Still” artist wrote, “I would like to publicly apologize to my wife. I will never get on the internet and bash you, no matter what you say out of hurt.”
“[You’re] such a good woman,” Bleu continued. “Solid. Rare. And I love and appreciate you. It’s a lot that this industry bring. It’s a fast life,” he markedly admitted. “Sometimes as men we fall short of what’s right! But I’ll never be [foolish] enough to lose what’s best for me! Hope this message reaches you somehow. Giving everything else to God from here. Back to the music and enjoying the love of my fans on tour! Family over everything.”
This tweet and delete isn’t the only time Yung Bleu has shown love for his wife over the past week. Amid his social media spat with Boosie Badazz, the Alabama native shut down claims that he’s never written a song about his wife. In fact, Bleu was quick to point out that he dropped one track about Tiemeria while signed to the 40-year-old, and it’s even RIAA-certified Platinum. On August 23, news broke broke about the arrest of Polo G, born Taurus Bartlett. After his L.A. mansion was raided, he and his brother and fellow rapper, Trench Baby, real name Taurean Bartlett, were taken into custody. The 24-year-old Chicago rapper and Trench Baby were later arrested on robbery, kidnapping, and assault charges.
Even though they have since been released, there are plenty of questions surrounding the case. While Polo G’s attorney has spoken out, much is still unknown. Here’s everything we know about the Polo G arrest so far and what to expect.
Day Of The Polo G Arrest
TMZ reported about the Polo G arrest on August 23. At the time, numerous police vehicles were seen around the rapper’s multi-million-dollar mansion. According to Rolling Stone, the search warrant was for the home that the two rapper brothers shared.
In video footage, authorities used a megaphone to order Polo G and Trench Baby out of the home with their hands above their heads. Once Polo G got closer to the cops, an officer cuffed him. It was reported that four suspects were taken into custody, including their sister.

The arrest was related to a robbery that had taken place earlier in August. Even though Polo G was arrested, the charges stemmed from a robbery that Trench Baby was allegedly involved in. He reportedly had robbed a man at gunpoint after inviting him to the home to film a music video. Police claim Trench Baby pulled a gun on the man once he arrived and made him empty his pockets.
The rapper also allegedly demanded that the man wire him money. The unknown man and Trench Baby had previously worked together, so it’s unclear why things went left. Even though Polo G wasn’t involved, he was charged with the illegal possession of the short-barreled rifle that was discovered at the L.A. home.
If all that wasn’t bad enough, after Polo G and Trench Baby were released from LAPD custody, the Burbank police came onto the scene. They immediately arrested the two brothers. Burbank re-arrested the brothers for “kidnapping, robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon” stemming from an unrelated incident in April 2023. Polo G and Trench Baby were eventually released on $100,000 bail the next day.
The brother’s mother, Stacia Mac, posted on her Instagram, “Polo and Tbaby Have been released. Thank you for your concerns and prayers” followed by three prayer hands. Their sister, Leilani, was also released and posted, “My family is everything to me so this is never easy but we gone be alright!” She also said she was glad the police decided to let her go.
During the Polo G arrest, authorities stated that they found numerous weapons. A leaked photo showed the weapons included “rifles, machine guns, pistols, a shotgun, a suppressor, and a pair of switches.” Luckily, Polo G had one of the top attorneys on his side.
After Polo G was released, his attorney, Bradford Cohen, explained that Polo G wasn’t a convicted felon. Cohen told XXL, “The incident surrounded someone staying in Polo’s home and not Polo directly. The officers have detained Polo to ‘verify’ that he is not a convicted felon, as they assert a firearm was found in the home.” He also accused authorities of refusing to provide “access to our client which is also an illegal and unethical practice and someone will have to answer for these new wrongful actions.”
Further, Cohen emailed Pitchfork that the alleged incident happened in April. He wrote, “Given that, the charges against Polo are very unusual given the timing and purported knowledge of the police. The length of time between the alleged incident and the arrest is suspect.” He wrote that once the “facts come out it will be a very different picture than how the charges look on paper.”
Polo G and Trench Baby are expected back in court on September 12 and 13, as well as October 26. Right now, their charges are pending in Los Angeles. Despite his legal troubles, Polo G is continuing to do his thing and has his fourth album, Hood Poet, coming out on September 15. HNHH will keep you posted on the latest on Polo G’s case.
Jamie Foxx enjoyed a beach vacation with his girlfriend, Alyce Huckstepp, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for Labor Day weekend. According to photos obtained by Page Six, the two appeared to be going strong following Foxx’s medical emergency, earlier this year.
In various photos, the two rocked matching outfits and enjoyed some PDA and hand-holding. It’s unclear exactly how long Foxx and Huckstepp have been together, but they were spotted on a trip to Cannes in May 2022. At the time, they were getting intimate on a luxury yacht on the French Riviera.

The vacation comes after Foxx recently opened up about the mysterious medical emergency that hospitalized him back in April. Late last month a series of very NSFW pics hit the internet from the rapper and his wife Bianca Censori’s stint in Italy. Kanye West might not be done facing repercussions for the incident either. According to Page Six, police are now reporting West and Censori for “possibly breaking standards of public decorum” while on their boat ride. Daily Mail also shared a statement about the potential pursuit of legal action. “The images show the couple clearly in a state of intimacy, and if the local prosecutor decides to press charges, then we will notify the couple,” an insider said.
The viral boat videos have distracted fans from recent reports that new music from Kanye could be imminent. In a recent interview on The Art Of Dialogue podcast, rapper and brother to late Hip Hop icon Tupac Shakur, Mopreme Shakur, talked about how he managed to land the rap feature on Tony Toni Toné’s smash single “Feels Good”, which was originally supposed to feature then superstar MC Hammer. From there, Shakur delved into how his little brother almost landed a role in Star Wars because of his close relationship with Samuel L. Jackson.

Now, it seems the Toronto native is paying it forward. Most recently during a stop on his It’s All A Blur Tour, Drizzy went out of his way to bless one loyal fan with a large sum of money, after finding out they spent all their furniture money to attend his sold-out Las Vegas show.
After catching wind of the fan’s sign that they were holding high from the crowd, Drake reads out loud: “Drake I spent my furniture money on your two shows, OVO for life.” In that moment, Drake decided he would be blessing that fan with 50 bands.

Drake has been bombarded with bras thrown on stage throughout his It’s All a Blur Tour, and recently things hit a fever pitch when the 6 God received a gigantic bra from his father Dennis Graham.
The OVO hitmaker couldn’t believe his eyes as he approached the ginormous undergarment, and scooped it up while saying aliens must exist if bras are made this size.
“This one takes the cake right here,” he said, before picking up a card that came attached to the bra. “Wait, what does it say? I can’t read this out loud actually, sorry. I can’t read this card out loud, it’s nasty.”
“Who did this? This might be the end of a saga right there. This might be the end of the road, I don’t know. If these were real, I don’t even know if I’d wanna see ’em because then I’d believe that aliens exist.”
Drake then received an answer to his question. “Oh, this is from my dad? The card says this is from my father, my father made this for me. ‘Dad’s wishing big things for you. I love you and made sure you were breastfed correctly.’ What is wrong with this man? This man is crazy.”
