DreamDoll Is Often ‘Misunderstood,’ But She Wants To Ensure That Her Catchy Rap Lyrics Aren’t

DreamDoll has come a long way since bursting onto the scene via reality tv.

Whether you got to know Tabatha Robinson on season 16 of Bad Girls Club or as her musical persona on season eight of Love & Hip Hop: New York, there’s no denying her passion for music has been the driving force behind her on-screen appearance. However, along the way, the Bronx native’s unruly behavior has, at times, overshadowed her music career.

On her single, “Misunderstood,” DreamDoll clears the air about the public’s opinion of her as well as a few lingering rumors floating around. The “Wiggle” rapper stopped by Uproxx to clarify one bar on the tracks that the public seems to be confused by.

The line in question, “I ain’t never asked for a favor or beg for your pardon / Been the motherfucking star since you seen me at Starlet’s / Once you sell out, it’s the Barclay or Garden / And if you want it, I got it / Lil engine that could / Is she a misfit / Or just misunderstood?”

Watch DreamDoll’s bar breakdown and explanation for the stanza below.

50 Cent Has Settled His Penis Enlargement Lawsuit Against The Shade Room

The Shade Room has agreed to pay a settlement to 50 Cent rather than going to court in his lawsuit against the gossip blog, according to Complex via Los Angeles Magazine reporter Meghann Cuniff. Cuniff posted a copy of an email notice of settlement that was sent out confirming that 50 will continue to pursue his suit against the other defendants, which include plastic surgeon Angela Kogan and her Miami-based practice, Perfection Medical Spa.

50 filed suit in September 2022 after Kogan used a photo of the two of them together to promote penis enhancement surgery — the unwritten suggestion being that she’d performed said surgery on 50 himself. In August 2022, The Shade Room published a post listing 50 Cent as one of Kogan’s clients, which lends credence to 50’s complaint about the photo. A trial was set for July 3, 2023, but with The Shade Room removing the post and agreeing to a settlement after mediation, it appears 50’s beef is only with Kogan and her practice now — which is bad news for Kogan, considering how zealous he is pursuing his grievances.

After all, it’s not like 50 needs the money; just a week ago, he celebrated a new television production deal with Fox, which is on top of his Starz empire and the music he’s putting out later this year.

Jeanie Buss Calls Out LeBron Fan For Online Harrassment

Jeanie Buss is always dealing with a lot as the owner of the Los Angeles Lakers. Overall, she is the one who must make massive decisions about the team. Moreover, this is doubly hard as her father turned the Lakers into a legendary franchise. She has massive shoes to fill, and it hasn’t always been easy. Although the team won a title in 2020, they have been some difficult seasons. For instance, the Russell Westbrook years were not kind to the team. These last couple of seasons have led to lots of criticism, and much of it has been directed toward Buss.

Unfortunately, some of this criticism has turned into straight-up harassment. Some people are constantly stocking Buss on social media so that they can get their hot takes off. Additionally, some people think it is a good idea to try and play GM in her DMs as if she is going to listen to them. One LeBron fan, however, got her attention. In the tweet below, @BronGotGame wrote “Jeanie Buss replied to my dm’s and I was just thanking her & Pelinka for the trades that went down, be thankful lady.” As you can see, Buss had a firm response to the fan, which is what prompted this public callout.

Jeanie Buss Reacts

Buss became aware of the tweet and came through with some receipts. She showed old DMs from back in November in which the fan called her “the worst owner in sports.” Needless to say, Buss was upset and wanted to set the record straight. “Here is an example of the harassing messages,” she wrote. “As I’ve said on this platform before, everyone is entitled to their opinion so I am not arguing about that. Its just that I don’t want my DM’s to be full of your pretend GM BS trade suggestions that’s all.”

Overall, you can’t help but feel for Buss here. Plenty of NBA fans are extremely toxic, especially in relation to the Lakers. However, she could probably be spending her time a lot more efficiently than beefing with a dude named LeBronchitis. Either way, hopefully, fans start to get the message. Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments below.

Chris Brown Shares Edited Clip Of Joe Biden Defending Him

Chris Brown has shared an edited video of Joe Biden that shows the President of the United States defending him. In the clip, Biden takes Brown’s side regarding the recent accusation that he didn’t allow Black women into his VIP section at a club he was hosting. Biden demands fans “stop hating on Chris Brown” in the post.

As for the accusations, a woman on TikTok claimed: “We were supposed to go see Chris Brown. We got there and there were thousands of girls lined up there. Like, thousands of girls. And they’re not getting in. We were supposed to be on the VIP guest list.” Another woman added: “They told us ‘No Black girls allowed.’ You’re handpicking these White women.” After the clip went viral, they clarified that it was not Chris Brown who refused to let them in, but the venue. “That video had absolutely nothing to do with Chris Brown,” she explained. “The only reason why his name was mentioned was because we were going to a club where he was hosting at.”

Chris Brown’s Joe Biden Video

The colorism accusations aren’t the only controversy Brown has dealt with in recent days. He also went back and forth with Kiely Williams of the Cheetah Girls. Williams brought up his history of abuse allegations in response to the announcement that he’s working with Chlöe Bailey on a song that’s releasing later this week. “Let him come out with his own record—so genius, so captivating that it makes us all forget HE BEATS WOMEN. He can’t so he wont. So what does he do?” she wrote. “He slowly creeps back into the mainstream by getting small nods for features on Black Women’s merit. Black women who are more talented, more worthy, but give him the okay.”

Brown fired back in a lengthy statement on social media: “If y’all still hate me for a mistake I made as a 17-year-old, please kiss my whole entire ass. I’m fucking 33. I’m so tired of y’all running wit this narrative. You weird ass n****s are the same ones that tune in every week to see Blueface and Chrisean beat the fuck out each other in front the world. But that’s ok? It’s entertainment? All y’all can suck my d*ck, disrespectfully.”

T.I. Unleashes On Boosie Badazz For Claiming He’s A “Rat”

Boosie Badazz and T.I.’s friendship is on the rocks. It began after a snippet of an episode of expediTIously where Troubleman admitted that he pinned a gun charge on his dead cousin. The argument on snitching ensued, which is something that Tip has faced in the past on numerous occasions. However, Boosie, who is the most outspoken anti-snitch advocate, felt confused by the statements. He explained that he’s known T.I, for years so he didn’t understand why he’d speak on this publicly. “If he did that, you’re a fuckin’ rat, too,” he said. “If you cooperate with law enforcement to get you out of trouble… that means you’re a rat.”

The comments went viral and people, like Terrence “Gangsta” Williams, felt obliged to chime in. Williams, who got out on the First Step Act, faced accusations of snitching after providing prosecutors with information on two deceased suspects in a murder investigation. He stated that Boosie sounded confused by T.I.’s comments, though he did acknowledge that the Louisiana rapper is standing on his beliefs. However, fans have been waiting on a response from T.I. himself.

T.I. Slams Boosie For His Comments

As Boosie’s comments floated across the internet, Tip offered to provide the paperwork to prove that he didn’t snitch. The Paper Trail MC told Boosie that he should “pull up” to address their issues, rather than a public platform. “My number the same & my address the same my n***a. To get on da net & speak on shit you’ve never spoke to me about is leaving me to believe you been hiding ya heart the whole time,” he said. “I’d NEVER speak ‘certain disrespect’ on your name/reputation bout a ‘IF’ homie… da convict code say When in doubt…pull the paperwork out!!! & ‘IF’ you ain’t did that.”

At this point, T.I. continued to explain that Boosie’s opinion of him doesn’t carry weight, especially if he isn’t verifying his information before speaking on it. “So don’t wonder no mo’ homie…. answer the ‘IF’… PULL UP & report back to da rest of these niggaz who opinions matter so much to you. Cause I could Give a Fuck bout what no nigga think bout me!!!” he continued. “So cmon & see what you speaking bout so next time you can speak intelligently. @mamaheliveagain.2.0 I expected more from you. This shit ain’t solid. obviously I thought we WAS something we WASNT.” Check out T.I.’s post above.

Jess Hilarious Claims Master P Owes Her $15K: “That Man Will Talk A Good Game”

Master P may have recently said he doesn’t want to hear about entertainers having grievances with him, but Jess Hilarious made a revelation on The Breakfast Club. The radio station has been filtering in guest hosts now that Angela Yee has moved on. This week, Jess joined Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy, claiming that Master P owes her a pretty penny from a previous project.

The crew opened the segment by referencing Percy Miller’s podcast interview. “His comments are inspired by his former artist Fat Trel,” said Jess. “I didn’t even know that was his artist.” Miller further joked that if he hasn’t dealt with an artist in over seven years, they shouldn’t be able to talk about him. He quipped there should be a statute of limitations placed on complaints.

“I don’t care if it was seven years or eleven years,” Jess also stated. “If you did something, and I have something to say, that’s just what it is. You know what I’m sayin’? You not the only one out here being talked about. We got Diddy. People still talkin’ ’bout him. People talkin’ ’bout Mase and what happened to him. [Jay-Z]. So many people, so you not the only person.”

“Basically, it all boils down to this. Fat Trel said that he was promised by Master P that he would be put in a Menace II Society sequel that never came to fruition,” Jess continued. She called Trel speaking on Miller “a bit of a temper tantrum,” but she added, “I do believe him because that man will talk a good game to you. Even with me, I Got the Hook Up. I’m still owed some bread for that. I’m not gon’ lie. I ain’t gon’ lie.” She joked that she still needs to be paid for one scene after staying there for 13 hours. Additionally, Jess claimed she charges $15,000 per skit.

Master P Interview Creates Waves

As previously stated, Master P recently spoke about his former artists or entertainers. “If you moved on 10 or 15 or 20 years after me, why is you talkin’ about me? How could an artist be mad at me? Let me tell y’all what my motto was: if you don’t want to be with me, I don’t want to be with you. It was almost like in a relationship. I ain’t tryin’ to hold you back. And so, a lot of these artists, go back and check. Whenever they say they didn’t want to be with No Limit or they feel that they could go and move on, I tear they contract up.”

“It should be a law. After seven years, you shouldn’t be allowed to get on no podcast and talk about nobody. Think about it! It’s a statute of limitations! If you ain’t been around that person in over seven years, you don’t deserve to talk about them.”

Cardi B Has A Message For Fans Amid Community Service

Cardi B’s 2018 strip club fiasco continues to interrupt the Bronx superstar’s downtime well into the new year. Although Belcalis had major charges dropped—two of which were felonies—the misdemeanor charges she pled to last September put her in community service. Cardi has been documenting her 15-day sentence on Twitter, and by the looks of her latest post, it hasn’t been the easiest thing to endure. The judge gave her an extension to finish the time after she skipped it the first go around.

“Day whatever the f**k of community service…” the mother of two tweeted a few hours ago. The picture, a selfie, shows the rapper rocking a Chanel hat and form-fitting clothing. “Obey the law !!!!“ Cardi B shared this exact statement one month ago when she shared a photo in front of the same mirror. Donning designer, the platinum-selling artist gave us a look into her second day on the court-ordered job. There’s no word on how much longer she has to complete the service.

Cardi B: “Obey the law!!!!”

Aside from her seemingly strenuous court ordeal, Bardi still seems to be on a high from V-Day. Her and husband Offset collaborated with McDonald’s to put out their own meal, inspired by their usual orders of burgers and fries. The “Cardi B & Offset Meal” became the 7th most searched term on Google that, capping at over 100,000 searches. They followed up with a conjoining commercial, a cutesy ad aired during last Sunday’s Super Bowl. Moreover, they’ve released their own Mickey D’s merchandise, a slight nod to Travis Scott, the first to do so.

There are still a few hours left to cop some of the cozy knits at cardiboffset.com. In addition to hats, the site carries shorts, hoodies, and tees as the cursor follows you around with emojis. Cardi B also hinted there’s more to content coming from the couple’s McDonald’s deal on Twitter in a recent post, too. Since then, she’s shared more photos of the couple dressed up for their value meals on Instagram. The romanticized adult happy meal—including customized Cardi and Offset cups and bags—is available while supplies last.

Raven-Symoné To Be Honored With Icon Award At 2023 Truth Awards

Sunday, March 4th marks the ninth annual Truth Awards, with Raven-Symoné set to receive the 2023 Icon Award. The 37-year-old actress is being recognized for her commitment to family programming and LGBTQ advocacy, as per The Hollywood Reporter. Initiated by the Diva Foundation and Better Brothers Los Angeles, the Truth Awards honors Black LGBTQ+ members and allies. Specifically, the ceremony shines a light on stars who’ve used their platform to embrace and advocate for their identity.

The Icon Award will add to Symoné’s impressive list of acclamations. Previously recognized for her work in The Cosby Show and That’s So Raven, the Georgia-born star has racked up five trophies from the NAACP Image Awards. In addition, Symoné has earned two Daytime Emmy nominations for her work on The View.

The Disney Channel alum will receive her recognition at the 2023 Truth Awards, which will be hosted in Hollywood, CA. Sheryl Lee Ralph, the founder of the DIVA foundation, gave a statement about the ceremony. “The Truth Awards, along with our acceptance and understanding of the LGBTQ+ community, will encourage, inspire and motivate others to live their truth unapologetically,” she wrote.

“It’s important that we focus on supporting our brothers and sisters in the LGBTQ+ community as they continue to fight for equality. Our public acknowledgment and partnership make it possible for them to live out loud and openly for the world to see.” The ceremony will be led by Pose actress and transgender rights advocate Angelica Ross. Joining her are Cocktails With Queens host Claudia Jordan and news anchor Marcus Washington.

Raven Speaks Her Truth to Oprah

Despite her industry-shaking success in her early career roles, Symoné received backlash after a 2014 interview with Opera Winfrey. During their discussion, the actress reflected, “I don’t want to be labeled gay, I want to be labeled a human who loves humans.” She continued to expand, “I’m an American; I’m not an African-American. I’m an American.” Even with Winfrey warning her of the criticism she would likely face for the comments, Symoné stood with her truth.

The 2023 Truth Awards will be recognizing Bryon Perkins, the first openly gay HBCU football player, with the Courage Award. Additionally, The Upshaws (created by Wanda Skyes and Regina Hicks) will receive the Cultural Affirmation Award. The STARZ network will also be honored with the Corporate Diversity & Leadership Award for 2023. To keep up with the hottest pop culture news, don’t forget to check out HNHH.
