Leikeli47 Shocks Fans By Announcing ‘Leikeli Ft. 47,’ The Rapper’s New Album Following A Two-Year Hiatus

Unfortunately due to the pressure to constantly produce record, hip-hop has lost a lot of its mysterious quality. However, “Chitty Bang” rapper Leikeli47 maintains enough for her peers. Between her signature bandana face covering to her sporadic drops, Leikeli47 gets a kick out of keeping fans on their toes.

Well, it has been two years since Leikeli47’s last studio, Shape Up, hit streaming platforms. So that means she has something in the tuck ready to go. Yesterday (October 14), Leikeli47 confirmed those suspensions by announcing her next project.

Over on her official Instagram page, Leikeli47 revealed her next body of work, Leikeli Ft. 47, is set to drop on Friday, October 25.

In a subsequent upload, Los Angeles fans have the chance to experience the forthcoming record in-person. An album listening event and live performance with Leikeli47 is scheduled to take place at Jumpman LA starting at 8 pm local time. Find more information here.

Based on the messaging of her album’s cover Leikeli47 is ready to step into the light. Supporters believe that means she could ditch the face coverings. During an interview with Vibe, Leikeli47 revealed why she chooses to protect her identity. “I feel like the Dark Knight, or one of those superheroes, or Superman,” she said. “The mask, it represents freedom. I’m free with it on.”

However, it could also confirm rumors that she’s departed from her label, RCA Records. Over on the company’s current artists’ directory, Leikeli47 no longer appears.

Diddy’s Legal Team Allege Prosecuting Lawyer Is Using Case For Publicity

Tony Buzbee has become a central character in the Diddy legal saga. The lawyer has decided to take on several of Diddy’s accusers, with new lawsuits being filed seemingly every week. This approach has not sat well with the mogul’s legal team, however. The lawyers representing Diddy took Buzbee to task in a Monday interview with TMZ. They told the outlet that the horrific accusations leveled at Diddy by Tony Buzbee’s clients are baseless. Furthermore, they allege that Buzbee is merely using the case to boost his own public profile.

Diddy’s legal team pointed to Buzbee’s hotline as proof of an example of a Buzbee publicity stunt. The hotline was set up to field allegations from alleged Diddy victims. The hotline gained loads of attention after it was reported that it received 12K calls in the first day of operation. “The press conference and 1-800 number that preceded today’s barrage of filings were clear attempts to garner publicity,” Diddy’s team told TMZ. In addition to raising doubts about Buzbee’s intentions, the team asserted that the mogul is not guilty of the crimes he has been accused of.

“In court, the truth will prevail,” they asserted. “That Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone — adult or minor, man or woman.” The timing of the public statement makes sense, given that Tony Buzbee filed six lawsuits earlier the same day. Some of the lawsuits include allegations that rank among the most disturbing leveled at Diddy yet. One accuser alleged that they attended a Diddy party in 1998, when he they only 16 years old. The accuser alleged that the mogul offered to help him break into the music industry, if he agreed to drop his pants and allow the mogul to touch his genitals.

Six may sound like a lot, but Tony Buzbee appears to be just getting started. The lawyer previously told TMZ that he plans to represent over 120 clients. All of them have alleged physical or sexual abuse at the hands of Diddy. He assured the outlet his firm is doing their “due diligence” to ensure that none of their clients are making false claims.

Brooklyn Rap Vet Brownsville Ka Dead At 52

The Hip Hop world and the Brownsville, Brooklyn community is saddened over the news of the passing of Kaseem Ryan aka Brownsville Ka, who died this week(October 12) unexpectedly in NYC.

His cause of death has not been confirmed. Ka was 52.

The Brownsvillian has been on the NYC underground Hip Hop scene for a span of three decades, originally as a part of the group Natural Elements, but Ka didn’t release a solo project until 2008 with Iron Works. He released several projects in the following years, including the infectious 2013 release of The Night’s Gambit that boasted the viral single “Cold Facts”.

What very few knew is that when Ka took his hiatus from the rap game from ’99 to ’08, he embarked on a career in the New York Fire Department and was a first responder during the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks in 2001. Ka rose in the ranks of “New York’s Bravest” and was promoted to fire captain at Engine Co. 235 in Bedford-Stuyvesant in 2009. Some critics didn’t thin the two professions mixed very well, so in 2016, the New York Post wrote an incendiary story which painted Ka as an anti-cop rapper leading a double life as a firefighter.

An announcement was made on his @brownsvilleka Instagram page about his sudden passing:

“We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Kaseem Ryan (1972-2024), the rapper and producer known as Ka, who died unexpectedly in New York City on October 12, at the age of 52,” reads the post. “Born and raised in Brownsville, Brooklyn, Ka lived a life of service — to his city, to his community, and to his music. As a 20-year veteran of the New York City Fire Department, he put his life on the line to protect his fellow citizens. Ka rose to the rank of FDNY captain and was a first responder on September 11, 2001, during the attacks on the World Trade Center. He leaves an extraordinary legacy as a recording artist, including eleven remarkable self-released solo albums. Ka is survived by his wife, mother and sister We kindly ask that the privacy of Ka’s family and loved ones be respected as they grieve this incalculable loss.”

Dr. Dre Has Reportedly Been Served With Restraining Order By His Former Marriage Counselor

In 2021, Dr. Dre faced two devastating blows. Not only did the mogul suffered three strokes following a monstrous brain aneurysm, he also settled his tension-filled divorce from Nicole Young. Fast-forward to October 11, Dr. Dre is still legally dealing with the aftermath of his separation.

According to TMZ, Dr. Dre has been served with a temporary restraining order by his from marriage counselor. A judge has ordered the mogul to stay away from Dr. Charles Sophy following harassment claims.

In a connected legal matter, Dr. Sophy sued Dr. Dre for $10 million accusing him of “malicious campaign of harassment” that supposed lasted a year and a half. Dr. Sophy said after being hired for “joint psychotherapist-patient relationship” by the former couple Dr. Dre allegedly blamed Sophy for causing further friction among the family.

Now, Dr. Dre’s attorney attorney, Howard King, has issued a response to the outlet. “Mr. Sophy got some text messages in 2023 from an angry patient who had been mistreated,” he said. “Along with his entire family, by a self-proclaimed psychiatric expert. Nothing has changed since 2023 that would warrant this desperate filing and attempt for attention other than Mr. Young’s refusal to drop his confidential efforts to have Sophy’s license terminated by the Osteopathic Medical Board.”

A prior statement shared by Dr. Dre’s representative attempted to provide context to the conflict, saying: “In gross violation of all applicable standards of care, Dr. Sophy inserted himself into a contentious divorce while he simultaneously ‘treated’ not only Mr. and Mrs. Young, but their children. He was terminated when it was revealed that he was encouraging one of their children to take sides against Mr. Young, even encouraging his son to go to the press with false allegations in order to force a financial settlement that he recommended.”

However, Dr. Sophy has slammed the Medical Board investigation attempts in a separate lawsuit.

Trippie Redd Bashes His Fans For Leaking Music In Bitter Twitter Rant

Trippie Redd does not have the superstar profile that he did a few years ago. The rapper was on the ascent, scoring major collaborations and dropping singles that scaled the charts. Redd’s last few drops have not gone according to plan, though. Fans clowned him for his MGK EP, and his recent collab with KSI was taken even less seriously. The latter was so derided, in fact, that Trippie Redd got on Twitter to make fun of it himself. It seems like the rapper reached a breaking point on October 13, though. He did not appreciate the continued leaking of his music, and made it known to fans.

Trippie Redd started off mildly enough, but his tweets gained more vitriol as the day wore on. The rant was prompted by the fact that a fan posted leaked material of his online. If i don’t get another song with Bieber, y’all fault wtf,” he wrote. “Leaking old songs too…….. get a life.” Trippie Redd used this recent leak as an excuse to sound off on the fans who have been leaking his music for years behind his back. “My last 4 albums leaked a week before it came out,” he asserted. “Don’t y’all get tired of doing that sh*t.” Things got even worse when Redd revealed that the leaks significantly impacted the rollout of his solo album Mansion Music.

Trippie Redd Asked Fans To Stop Leaking Songs

Apparently, Mansion Music was conceived as a double album before fans got ahold of recordings and uploaded them online. As a result, Trippie Redd decided to cut down on the tracklist and release a single disc version. Worse still, the rapper claims he had to rush to record new songs to avoid giving fans what they had already heard through leaks. “Only reason Mansion Music wasn’t a 2 part album,” he explained. “Is cuz y’all leak all the songs at once so i had to rush it out. Ts annoying atp.”

In case Trippie Redd’s sentiment wasn’t clear, he quote tweeted the fan account Redd Files. The account often posts links to the rapper’s leaked music, and he made it clear that he didn’t co-sign fans using the account to listen. “Stop leaking my music,” he wrote. Trippie Redd has a new album slated for release in 2024, LIVE LOVE LAUGH DIE, but once again, a proper release date has been derailed by leaks. Nearly a dozen songs have either been leaked or teased via snippet. Hopefully Redd is able to remedy the issue moving forward.

Pharrell Says Writing His Hit Song ‘Happy’ Wasn’t A Happy Time At All, In Fact It ‘Broke Him’

Pharrell Williams’ life story is officially on the big screen. The famed producer’s Lego style biopic, Piece By Piece, can be viewed at your nearest theater and to promote it Pharrell is opening up about some major moments in his career.

During an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Pharrell made a shocking confession about his optimistic hit, “Happy.” The track, which featured in Despicable Me 2 and its soundtrack served as positive reinforcement for listeners. But according to Pharrell writing the smash “broke him.”

“I had written 9 songs that were rejected,” he said. “It was only until you were out of ideas, and you asked yourself a rhetorical question, and you came back with a sarcastic answer, and that’s what ‘Happy’ was. How do you make a song about a person that’s so happy that nothing can bring them down? And I sarcastically answered it and put music to it, and that sarcasm became the song, and that broke me.”

However, Pharrell managed to find the silver lining, saying: “It’s so crazy for us to think like as individuals, everything comes from us. Your ideas, everything that you get, is coming from a library of existence. Nothing is new under the sun.”

In the past, Pharrell admitted that after a while he grew annoyed with the record just like the rest of us after it become unavoidable.

Ayesha Curry Poses With Drake Affiliate After “Meet The Grahams” Reference

Kendrick Lamar really put a dent in Drake’s reputation with “Meet the Grahams.” Other disses were more popular, and easier to replay, but the Alchemist-produced single was brutal. Lamar presented a scathing indictment of Drake’s persona and his vices to the world. He also warned famous celebrities to stay away from the 6 God moving forward. These celebs including LeBron James, Steph Curry and their respective families. Which is what makes the recent public appearance by Steph’s wife, Ayesha Curry, so surprising.

Ayesha Curry appeared on the Instagram Story of OVO Mark, a veteran Drake affiliate. The two are seen sitting on the front steps of a house and sipping drinks together. DJ Akademiks took note of this link up and used it to illustrate the fact that Lamar’s advice fell on deaf ears. “OVO Mark with Ayesha Curry,” Ak wrote in the caption. “‘Steph keep the family away’ aging like milk.” Ayesha Curry’s appearance in a bit of a surprise, but those who have kept up with Steph Curry’s comments know that he never turned his back on Drake during the beef.

Ayesha Curry And Steph Curry Continue To Support Drake

Steph Curry voiced his annoyance with another Kendrick Lamar diss, “Not Like Us,” during one of the U.S. Olympic Games. He also sang the praises of the 6 God during an interview with GQ. “I’m a big Drake guy. I’ve been for a long time,” he asserted. “I think obviously you know what it is for the rap industry to have that, but I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely.” Curry and his former Warriors teammate, Kevin Durant, have continued to show their support for Drake post-battle. Ironically, the NBA star that Drake was closest with, LeBron James, has done the opposite.

LeBron James gushed about “Not Like Us” during the aforementioned video of Curry dismissing the song. He also appeared in the audience during Lamar’s “Pop Out” show on Juneteenth. Drake appears to have taken notice of this lack of support. He unfollowed James on Instagram, along with Lamar and several other celebs on October 1. That friendship seems severed, but the mutual admiration between Drizzy and the Curry family seems very much intact.

Six Alleged Victims Accuse Diddy Of Rape, Sexual Abuse, And Sexual Assault In A New Lawsuit

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial for racketeering and sex trafficking is reportedly set to begin in 2025. However, civil lawsuits against Diddy continues to pile up.

Today (October 14), Diddy was allegedly named in half a dozen new filings. According to USA Today, six of a whooping alleged 120 victims (uncovered by AVA Law Group attorneys Tony Buzbee and Andrew Van Arsdale) have formally filed lawsuit against the disgraced mogul.

In the cases, two Jane Does and four John Does, accuse Diddy of rape, sexual abuse, and sexual assault. Of the six alleged victims, one accuser said they were 16 years old at the time of the supposed assault. The incidents outlined in the lawsuit allegedly took between between 1995 through 2021. Deep within the documents, the outlet claims several of Diddy’s businesses as listed as defendants similar to Cassie’s bombshell filing back in November 2023.

Buzbee says the public should expect more civil filings as the law form is ready to submit more on behalf of their unidentified clients. However, a formal number was not shared.
