Drake Continues to Tease Joint Album with PARTYNEXTDOOR: ‘CLA$$$IC’

image

Drake continues the hype train for his forthcoming album with PARTYNEXTDOOR. Hitting PND’s Instagram comments, Drake commented on an album tease with: “LOADED IN MY PHONE CLA$$$IC.”

Drake has provided an update on his collaboration album with PARTYNEXTDOOR. While on stage over the weekend, Drake stated: “Shoutout to my brother PX, album dropping soon.”

You can see the update below.

On Aug. 2, Drake and fellow OVO star PartyNextDoor originally announced that they have something up their sleeve. On stage, they announced that they would release a collaborative album later this year. Well, okay, that announcement was long overdue.

Get this: the announcement went down during PartyNextDoor’s concert on Friday in their hometown of Toronto. Naturally, Drake made a surprise appearance onstage and gave fans what they wanted to hear, performing hits and the news of the upcoming project.

Here’s a couple quotes from the 6 God … ”On behalf of me and Party, we’ve been working on something for y’all,” Drake told the audience. “So, you get the summer over with, do what you need to do. I know all you girls are outside. When it gets a little chilly, PartyNextDoor and Drake album will be waiting right there for you.” That part.

So check this out, the show was originally PartyNextDoor’s concert, but Drake being the tour de force that he is, treated the crowd to a nearly hour-long surprise set. As you can imagine most of the surprise set was a medley of Drizzy’s R&B-ish tracks from his chart topping catalog.

If you don’t know Party was the first signee to Drake’s OVO Sound label. The “Recognize” (feat. Drake) artist has collaborated a ton with Drake over the past decade on bonafide smashes like “Come and See Me” and “Loyal,” as well as on Drake’s album tracks like “Wednesday Night Interlude,” “Members Only,” and “With You.” However, this upcoming LP marks the first time the two artists have worked together on an entire album.

ICYMI, PartyNextDoor released his latest LP, “PartyNextDoor 4”, in April. Outside of his recent season of diss tracks and Camila Cabello guest spots, Drake last released “For All the Dogs” in 2023. Prior to that, Drake collaborated with 21 Savage on their album “Her Loss” in 2022.

We are waiting like the rest of ya’ll for this collab but keep that same energy when it drops in case you wasn’t rocking with Aubrey this summer. Just saying.

REFORM Alliance and Global Coalition Lead Historic UN Resolution on Reentry and Supervision Rights

Philadelphia 76ers Managing Partner Josh Harris Makes a Six-figure Donation to Reform Alliance To Support Probation and Parole Reform Work

Philadelphia 76ers Managing Partner Josh Harris Makes a Six-figure Donation to Reform Alliance To Support Probation and Parole Reform Work

REFORM Alliance, in collaboration with Costa Rica and a coalition of 120 organizations from 49 countries, successfully led the adoption of a groundbreaking UN Human Rights Council (HRC) resolution. The unanimous decision marks a historic step toward protecting the human rights of individuals reentering society after incarceration and those under supervision, such as probation or parole.

The resolution provides a framework for governments to create safer, more inclusive communities by offering reentry support, reducing stigma, and promoting economic inclusion. With over 11.5 million people incarcerated globally, this initiative aims to improve reentry processes and help individuals reintegrate successfully.

This landmark resolution is the first HRC initiative to focus on human rights-based guidance for reentry and supervision. It emphasizes dignity and rejects dehumanizing terms like “criminal” and “convict,” which reinforce stigma and hinder full societal participation.

Costa Rica worked with nations such as The Gambia, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, and Romania to drive this resolution, with legal expertise from Perseus Strategies. The next steps involve creating a comprehensive study and global recommendations to ensure governments worldwide uphold human rights during the reentry process.

On the resolution, advocates state:
Kim Kardashian, Activist and Advocate: “Too often, people coming out of prison or on supervision are treated as outcasts–their potential overlooked and their humanity ignored. This resolution, sponsored by Costa Rica and a diverse group of countries around the world, is a powerful declaration that no one is disposable and every person deserves human rights and a second chance. I’m proud to support REFORM Alliance and the coalition of advocates as they lead this global effort to ensure governments worldwide enact real change that lifts up those working to rebuild their lives.”

Jessica Jackson, CEO of REFORM Alliance: “This historic resolution is a major victory for millions around the world who face impossible barriers to reentry after incarceration and on supervision. Governments must now take a human rights approach to supporting this population and do everything they can to help those who are turning their lives around become full productive members of society. REFORM has fought state by state, county by county, and at the federal level in the U.S. to close the critical gaps in supervision policies that leave too many people trapped. Now, we are expanding our efforts globally to ensure no one is left behind.”

Ambassador Christian Guillermet-Fernández of Costa Rica: “The unanimous adoption of this resolution represents a recognition that the reintegration of those leaving incarceration and under non-custodial measures is not merely a policy issue, but a fundamental human rights issue. It is a reflection of our shared humanity and our global commitment to ensuring that everyone, regardless of their past, is given the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to society. Costa Rica is proud to have led this effort alongside the Core Group, and in partnership with REFORM Alliance, to advance a global framework for more just and inclusive societies worldwide.”

Jared Genser, Managing Director of Perseus Strategies: “This resolution sets a global precedent by addressing the need for reintegration strategies that respect human dignity and uphold human rights and not merely focus on reducing recidivism. Through our coalition’s work, we’ve shown that comprehensive support systems and people-centered policies are the keys to breaking the cycles of poverty and exclusion that keep so many trapped in the criminal legal system. This historic resolution focuses the UN human rights system on both explaining to States their responsibilities and providing specific guidance about how to implement effective social reintegration programs in practice.”

Jersey Worn by Michael Jordan When Crossed Over by Allen Iverson to Hit Auction

On March 12, 1997, NBA history was made when rookie Allen Iverson faced off against Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in a highly anticipated regular season game in Philadelphia. In that game, Iverson put Jordan on skates with a crazy crossover, leading to a mid-range jumpshot.

Iverson had been dazzling opponents since his debut, and this game was no exception. The significance of the matchup is further underscored by the upcoming Sotheby’s auction titled “Colossal: The Ultimate Jordan Collection,” which will feature Jordan’s red Bulls jersey worn during this iconic game.

According to The Athletic, Iverson’s memorabilia will be included; the auction’s title was inspired by Iverson’s memories of visiting Sotheby’s. Reflecting on the game, Iverson recalled recognizing the opportunity to challenge the GOAT, saying, “I told my teammates at Georgetown that if I ever had a chance to try it out on the greatest player ever, I would want to put my move to the test.”

The jersey, worn by Jordan approximately 17 times during the 1996-97 championship season, is expected to fetch between $4-6 million, making it one of the most valuable pieces of sports memorabilia ever.

Today, revolutionary R&B artist 4Batz and rising rapper Skilla Baby return with the vibrant music video for their latest release, “So Bad.” The video, directed by Anfy, follows the success of 4Batz’s recent single “roll da dice,” featuring Lil Baby.

The “So Bad” video, which premiered on BET Jams, BET Hip Hop, and on the Paramount Times Square billboards, opens with women planning to meet up at a lively house party with 4Batz and Skilla Baby. The party plays out across a luxurious estate, with scenes unfolding around the pool, on the tennis court, and in the living room under a sparkling crystal chandelier.

In “So Bad,” 4Batz pays tribute to a special woman, highlighting her unique presence and unmatched energy. His signature melodic tones blend seamlessly with Skilla Baby’s Detroit-infused flow, creating an engaging and fresh sound. With lyrics like “Let me take you shopping” and “Take you to the tropics,” 4Batz expresses his devotion and the deep connection he feels. The song continues the relationship journey begun in “roll da dice,” now exploring the next chapter with lines like “I seen you on the story, you can be my shawty.”

The music video, teased last week on both artists’ Instagram handles, showcases 4Batz’s 90s-inspired aesthetic, with women speaking on colorful landlines as they get ready for a night out, encapsulating the laid-back vibe of the track.

Ab-Soul Is Esoteric As Ever On Jazzy New Single “Squeeze 1st 2”

Ab-Soul is a lyrical wizard. He considers himself to be the best rapper alive, and when he’s on his A game, it’s easy to see why. He packs his verses with dense references and a devilish sense of humor that sometimes actually verges on devilish. Soulo did drop an album that was inspired by occultist Alastair Crowley, after all. “Squeeze 1st 2” is a more direct offering from the TDE veteran, but that doesn’t mean it’s light on the wordplay. Ab-Soul puts on a clinic over a catchy horn sample that anchors his vocals and gives some shape to his otherwise stream of consciousness bars.

“Squeeze 1st 2” is presumably the first offering from an upcoming Ab-Soul album. TDE has teased a new release from their headiest member, and as far as building up hype goes, this single does a good job. It’s catchy without compromising what ultimately makes Soulo such a memorable rapper. “The best rapper alive or not,” he spits. “Was laced by the greats. I just had to tie the knot.” There are memorable rhymes about quesadillas, Miles Davis horn solos, and wanting smoke despite not being a Cuban cigar maker. Ab-Soul takes his craft very seriously, but he doesn’t take himself too seriously, and this new song is a prime example. We can’t wait to hear more.

Let us know what you think of this brand-new track, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.
