Atlanta Club Comes To “Complete Stop” When Gunna Verse Comes On

Gunna may have gotten his physical freedom back after taking a plea deal in the YSL RICO trial earlier this year, but that doesn’t mean he’s free from criticism. In fact, the “Pushin P” hitmaker is being judged more harshly than ever before. Mostly for allegedly snitching on Young Thug, which he’s continuously denied. Many former friends and collaborators have turned a cold shoulder Gunna’s way, and Boosie Badazz even recently said that he wouldn’t work with the Georgia native, even in exchange for $1 billion.

Elsewhere, Lil Gotit ranted on Instagram about Gunna last week, markedly declaring that “it’s over” for the 29-year-old. It seems the former may have been right, as a video that’s gone viral on Twitter shows an ATL club coming to a standstill when the Wunna’s verse comes on during 21 Savage’s “Can’t Leave Without It.” When sharing the clip on IG recently, the OP wrote, “Aye y’all, DA WHOLE CLUB came to a complete STOP WHEN DEY PLAYED GUNNA 😂😂😂.”

ATL isn’t Feeling Gunna

“DAT MF WAS THUMPIN’ [BEFORE] dat mf came on 😂😂. I’M CRYINNNNN,” they continued. From behind the camera, the man recording says, “The whole club stopped when they played Gunna,” as he wanders the venue, showing people calmly sitting everywhere as music loudly blares around them. “They do not f*ck with Gunna in Atlanta. Look at this sh*t. Look how dead it is. This motherf*cker was just jumping like hotcakes n*gga. This sh*t dead than a motherf*cker.”

Much of the disdain around the DS4EVER artist is obviously regarding his plea deal. However, he was recently accused of dissing Lil Baby and Lil Durk on his latest single, which hit DSPs this past weekend. The southern star has denied throwing shade at the former, but social media has still begged to differ. Have you heard Gunna’s new “bread & butter” song yet? Lil Gotit To Gunna: “It’s Over For You Bruh, You Changed On The Family”

Gunna gained his freedom back several months ago after taking a plea deal in the YSL RICO trial, but that doesn’t mean he’s been back in the spotlight. For the most part, the embattled artist has been keeping a low profile, especially in light of allegations of him snitching on Young Thug and other co-defendants. Gunna and his attorneys have been denying these claims. Still, contemporaries like Lil Durk argue that he must’ve given up some information in order to get out of jail when the So Much Fun hitmaker was denied bond four times.

This New Music Friday (June 2), the Atlanta native dropped his first new single in some time, “bread & butter.” Some listeners have accused him of dissing Lil Baby on the track, but Gunna quickly shut those rumours down. Elsewhere, Lil Gotit is making it abundantly clear that he’s not a fan of the “P Power” artist’s latest release. “I just be wanting to know right, as soon as I say something, ‘[I get told] You hatin’, oh, you trying to divide somebody,” the 23-year-old vented of the apparent double-standard.

On “bread & butter,” Gunna raps, “You b*tch-ass n*ggas got me as the topic of the chat / You switched on me when you know you in business with a rat / And the boy that’s like your brother, and nobody speak on that?” Regardless of who the bars are about, Gotit made it clear he feels some type of way about them. “It’s over for you, bruh,” he told the DS4Ever artist during an Instagram rant. “You changed on the family.”

Elsewhere in his post, Gotit pointed out that not many people know how Young Thug or Yak Gotti truly feel about the situation, as they’ve been locked up for a year now. YSL RICO Public Defender Receives Pay Raise After Considering OnlyFans Career

The public defenders involved in the YSL RICO case may be working for millionaires like Young Thug, but that doesn’t mean they’re bringing in the big bucks themselves. At the beginning of the month, it was revealed that lawyers who signed on to the high-profile case were awarded a salary of just $15K for a case that’s anticipated to span at least a year. On top of the embarrassingly low income, attorneys are unable to work any other files at the time, rendering them essentially unable to bring in more income with their legal expertise.

At the time, legal representative Angela D’Williams spoke out about the situation in the media, revealing that she was considering selling adult content as a way to secure more money in this tough economy. “This case is slated to last for about a year, and if you were to do the math, it would be six dollars an hour,” she previously told WSB-TV. “I need something to survive off of. We were under the impression that GPDC was advocating for us, and once they put those walls up, I’m thinking I need to start an OnlyFans.”

Angela D’Williams Advocates for Higher Pay Amid YSL RICO Trial

According to the latest update, D’Williams won’t need to turn to OnlyFans after all. Thanks to the efforts of her and other lawyers working the YSL RICO trial, the GPDC has agreed to up their pay from a measly $15K salary to $55K, marking a substantial increase. While it’s certainly not the same amount Thugger was raking in in his prime, it’s enough to not have to begin a second career as a sex worker.

Things have only continued to grow messier in the Atlanta courtroom, with Young Thug taking two trips to the hospital in recent weeks. On top of that, we’ve also seen an attorney arrested, and another avoid jail time by purchasing chicken wings. Are you still keeping up with Young Thug’s YSL RICO trial? Young Thug Makes Second Hospital Trip In Two Days Amid RICO Trial

The long-spanning YSL RICO trial continues to be plagued with problems, most recently as a result of Young Thug’s health. For some time now, the embattled rapper’s attorneys have been pleading with judges to give their client bond as his well-being behind bars continues to suffer. Unfortunately for Thugger, their fourth attempt was recently denied. This took place shortly before the Atlanta native was taken to hospital earlier this week, on Thursday (May 11). After an evaluation, he was able to leave. However, new reports reveal that the next day, Jeffrey Williams returned for more medical care.

As 11Alive reports, it remains unclear if the So Much Fun hitmaker was once again given the all-clear on Friday, or if he remains in doctor’s care. “I’m concerned about his well-being, his condition,” one of Thug’s lawyers, Keith Adams, told Judge Ural Glanville yesterday. Worry for the alleged gang member’s sleep schedule, as well as his diet, have been high for Williams’ legal team. They’ve even gone so far as to describe his condition as “languishing” amid lengthy legal proceedings. For the most part, he’s apparently been restricted to eating things with minimal nutritional value, such as chocolate, chips, and other junk foods.

Young Thug Returns to the Hospital

While they actually began in January, nearly halfway through March, a jury has yet to be selected for the trial. As Thugger and his co-defendants remain behind bars awaiting their fate, others, like Gunna, have been able to walk free after taking plea deals. Even with all the accusations stacked against him, the “Hot” hitmaker and his attorneys have maintained his innocence.

Charges the 31-year-old is facing include conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act in 2013, as well as gang activity from 2018 and beyond. Do you think there’s something suspicious happening behind Young Thug’s multiple recent trips to the hospital? Young Thug Co-Defendant Severed From YSL RICO After He’s Diagnosed With Schizophrenia

One of Young Thug’s defendants in the YSL RICO case will be tried separately after he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Jayden Myrick has been severed from the case after a mental evaluation that determined he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Myrick reportedly informed the judge that he hadn’t taken his psychiatric medication since December. Ultimately, Fulton County Judge Ural Glanville decided it would be best if Myrick would be tried separately. “I think severance would be appropriate at this point in time,” Judge Glanville ruled.

The decision comes shortly after Myrick told the court that he wanted to represent himself. In his bid, he claimed that President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump would help him in court. “I’m not the regular inmate. I be with Joe Biden and Donald Trump and they be talking to me,” Myrick said during the hearing. “Donald Trump is going to get me out.” Ultimately, this claim prompted Judge Ural Glanville to ask Myrick to undergo a mental evaluation.

Myrick’s facing some serious charges related to the YSL indictment. Prosecutors charged him with attempted murder and possession of a weapon by an incarcerated individual. Additionally, he faces charges of conspiracy to violate the RICO Act and participation in criminal street gang activity. He’s previously faced accusations of stabbing YFN Lucci in prison in Feb. ‘22, a crime which prosecutors claim Young Thug green-lit. Myrick was also convicted to a life sentence in October for the murder of Christian Broder.

Meanwhile, Young Thug continues to try and get bond in his case. His attorney Brian Steel filed a fourth motion for Thug’s release, claiming that the trial has impacted the rapper’s health negatively. Steel said Thug wakes up between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. each day for court while returning back to jail at late hours, leaving him “sleep deprived.” At this point, it’s unclear if the judge will grant Thug’s bond, especially after denying him three times in the past. The judge previously ruled that Thug is a flight risk. We’ll keep you posted on any more developments in Young Thug’s YSL RICO trial.

YSL RICO Public Defender Contemplates Starting OnlyFans Due To Pay Struggles

Though it officially began several months ago, little headway has been made in regards to the YSL RICO trial. Some of the defendants, including Gunna, previously accepted plea deals allowing them to return to freedom. Others, like Young Thug, remain behind bars. Just last month, the “Day Before” artist filed for his fourth attempt at bond. The first three had already been rejected before proceedings even began. Thugger’s fans have been expressing their sympathy for the embattled artist and his situation. However, it seems the public defenders working on the YSL case are the ones who could really use some support.

Attorney Justin Hill spoke candidly about the low wages he’s received for his work with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He reportedly signed on to the case for little more than $7K. Now, he’s looking at bringing home $15K when all is said and done. Despite the fact that his income has more than doubled, the lawyer believes he could make more from working at a fast food joint, seeing as the YSL trial may potentially take years to complete.

YSL Attorneys Consider Working at Chick-fil-A or on OnlyFans

“For at least a year’s worth of full-time work, that’s essentially less than minimum wage,” he vented to the outlet. “To be honest, I could make more money working at Chick-fil-A as a cashier,” Hill added. Still, he has no plans to walk away from Young Thug and the other YSL defendants. “I don’t think any of us want to come off this case. We just need to be adequately compensated,” he reasonably explained. Elsewhere, another attorney named Angela D’Williams spoke with WSB-TV about her situation, which has her contemplating turning to selling adult content.

“This case is slated to last for about a year, and if you were to do the math, it would be six dollars an hour,” she explained. “I can’t take any new cases, I can’t close any cases. I need something to survive off of. We were under the impression that GPDC was advocating for us, and once they put those walls up, I’m thinking I need to start an OnlyFans.” Williams apparently submitted. request for additional funds in March, and later heard back from the director cancelling their meeting. As Bossip notes, a spokesperson for the Georgia Public Defender Council told WSB-TV that they’re currently “working to find [more money]” for lawyers being impacted. Young Thug’s Legal Team Files Fourth Motion for Bond

young thug 745x417 1

Young Thug is once again attempting to get bond as he awaits trial for the YSL Rico.

Jury selection is still underway for the trial, entering month five, and Young Thug’s legal team is attempting to get the rapper out on bond. Thugger is facing RICO charges in Fulton County, Georgia.

Attorney Brian Steel represents Young Thug and spoke to ABC News, highlighting that his client does not pose a risk.

“Mr. Williams is not a risk to commit a crime and he’s not a risk to flee the jurisdiction and that’s what bond is about,” Steel said.

Steel also states early mornings, coupled with long nights in returning to his cell, have impacted his health and ability to get ready for trial.

Young Thug Adds Gunna’s Music To His Instagram Bio

Young Thug’s Instagram page has many fans scratching their heads, as a link to Gunna’s DS4EVER is now in his bio. Of course, given that he currently waits in jail on RICO charges along with various other codefendants, this is an odd development. Not only that, but it’s even odder because his “Ski” collaborator took a plea deal and testified against YSL. If you’re looking for an explanation, the comments sections on coverage of this phenomenon is already rife with theories and assumptions. Whatever the case, there’s too little information to know the true intent of this move, or to identify what their relationship is like now.

“How else he finna pay for them lawyer fees,” one user suggested under DJ Akademiks’ post of the development. As such, many think that this is just promotion for DS4EVER so YSL can make more money while its members wait behind bars. “Gunna watching too many hacking documentaries sitting at the crib,” another fan theorized. Other possible interpretations are that this is Thugger’s PR team trying to make public amends. Maybe Young Thug himself sought to make their friendship clear without a statement, or deliver a very convoluted and strange diss.

Young Thug Promotes Gunna On Instagram

Regardless, our guess is as good as yours as to what could’ve prompted this move. Still, even if Thug came out with a statement defending Gunna, people would likely continue to trash him for his actions. For example, when a fan compiled all his anti-snitching bars, social media bashed him. In addition, other rappers apparently threw subliminals or unfollowed the “Drip Or Drown” MC, along with strong words from his (perhaps former) YSL cohorts.

Meanwhile, Thugger is currently looking for bond with the help of his attorney- for the fourth time in the past year. “Mr. Williams is not a risk to commit a crime and he’s not a risk to flee the jurisdiction and that’s what bond is about,” attorney Brian Steel told ABC News. Also, he added that he “previously put forth compelling evidence, without doubt, that conditions can be imposed which permit bond to be set.” This request for bond comes as concerns for his health due to fatigue and sleep depravation become more common on social media. Hopefully he can await jurisdiction in humane and healthy conditions. Regardless, the fact remains that, until someone offers an explanation, fans can’t wrap their head around that Instagram bio. Miles Farley Granted Bond In YSL Case Amid Courtroom Chaos

The RICO case surrounding YSL has finally gone to trial. However, chaos reigned in the courtroom during its opening days. Miles Farley has been charged with the murder of Shymel Drinks alongside various RICO charges. The alleged murder came as part of the feud between YSL and YFN. Farley, the creator of the “Make America Slime Again” brand, is a unique figure in the sprawling trial. Unlike many of his co-defendants, Farley refused a plea deal. The deal would have required him to admit that YSL was a “street gang” and provide testimony against other defendants in court.

However, Farley has mostly been an afterthought in the proceedings so far this week. That is because Thursday saw his attorney, Anastassios Manettas, arrested on possession charges while entering the Fulton County Courthouse. Manettas has reportedly attempted to bring prescription medication into the courtoom. Before that, Wednesday saw the dramatic removal of Rodalius “Lil’ Rod” Ryan from the courtroom. Farley’s case was also severed by presiding judge Ural Glanville, meaning Farley will stand trial alone.

Farley Granted $650k bond

On Friday, Farley was granted a $650k bond by Judge Glanville. This means that if he can pay up, he will have a degree of freedom before his trial. The conditions of Farley’s bond were outlined as being required to wear ankle and wrist monitors, stay off social media, and respect a 10pm curfew. No date has been set for Farley’s trial. Farley’s trial was severed from the wider YSL case, meaning Farley will have his charges as a sole defendant.

The decision to grant Farley bond over a year after he was indicted came as a result of the week’s dramatic events. The arrest of Manettas, who will still represent Farley, was the primary reason cited by Glanville for his issuing of the bond. Manettas’ arrest was also cited as the driving force behind Glanville’s decision to sever Farley’s case, the seventh instance of severance in the trial. However, Manettas appeared confident after learning of his client’s bond. “In my opinion, [it] didn’t go very well for the state,” Manettas told Atlanta’s Channel 2 Action News. The lawyer of one of over a dozen involved in the trial and represents a number of other defendants. The court proceedings are set to continue next week.

A defense attorney for one of the YSL members on trial in the crew’s RICO case in Atlanta has been arrested for bringing prescription pills past the court’s checkpoint and now faces four criminal charges himself.

Miles Farley’s lawyer Anastassios Manettas was charged with possession, obstruction, disruption of court proceedings and simple battery on a law enforcement officer.

Following Manettas’ arrest, George Chidi, an Atlanta-based journalist who has been detailing the YSL RICO case on record since last year, took to Twitter to weigh in on the new development involving Manettas.
