Young Buck And 50 Cent Reignite Debate Over $250K Record Contract

50 Cent and Young Buck were core members of G-Unit in the 2000s. The former was obviously the leader and the label boss, while the latter was a loyal soldier. The problem is, Buck claims that he was never paid for his services. A new court filing from the rapper alleges that he was promised a $250K advance loan from his boss. The court filing may be new, but the debate as to whether 50 Cent made good on his promise has raged on for the better part of a decade.

Young Buck reportedly signed a contract with 50 Cent 2014. Nothing was said about the contract until 2020, when the rapper filed for bankruptcy and G-Unit Records claimed the $250K. Buck asserted that he was never paid the money. His attorneys have bolstered this assertion. Buck’s legal team feel that the contract “fails to meet enforceability standards under New York law.” This is reportedly due to the fact that a clear agreement and evidence of fulfillment of key terms are required. “G-Unit [Records] would have this court accept that no bank records, business records, or tax filings exist to substantiate these payments,” the attorneys added.

Young Buck admonished 50 Cent for failing to pay up during an appearance on It’s Tricky with Raquel Harper in 2022. “Once he stopped me from being able to make money, I filed another bankruptcy,” the rapper noted. “They stopped him from being able to cease-and-desist in regards to me being able to, you know.” Young Buck’s recent filing comes on the heels of him being ordered to pay 50 Cent for the $250K in August. AllHipHop confirmed the order, and 50 even trolled Buck by reposting the headline on Instagram. “I don’t know why they make me go through this part,” he wrote. “But I’m a need that money by Monday.”

50 Cent and Young Buck may have been peers at one point, but their financial feud appears to be strong as ever. The latter talked about his relationship with 50 during an episode of Steve-O’s Wild Ride. He was willing to admit the two had misunderstandings, but voiced puzzlement at 50 Cent’s continued trolling. “I don’t know what I did to make him want to see me, not feed my children,” Buck stated. “Fifty’s his own person, but I would never wish death or wanna see him not be able to feed his family.” Hopefully things get sorted out.

Young Buck Sounds Reinvigorated On New Single “Don’t Ask Me”

Young Buck isn’t young anymore. The former G-Unit member has been through a lot since he first broke onto the scene in the early 2000s. He’s seen tremendous commercial highs and dire financial lows, like a bankruptcy filing in 2010. Young Buck is back with a new single, however, and it proves that he has put all this experience to good use. The rapper sounds authoritative and aggressive on the song, proving that he still has what it takes to deliver the goods in 2024. “Don’t Ask Me” is Buck’s best single in years.

The instrumental definitely helps. Young Buck is not stuck in the production of the past, and instead taps DJ Paul KOM for a chilly, nocturnal sound bed. “Don’t Ask Me” sounds like its contending with the ghosts of the past as Young Buck does the same lyrically. He makes reference to his complicated past with 50 Cent and G-Unit. He also makes reference to the recent beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Young Buck has been keeping tabs on the rap game, but he doesn’t sound out of step. Instead, Buck sounds confident with where he’s at. He knows he can still rattle off memorable bars. The chorus isn’t anything crazy, but it’s easy to repeat and keeps the viewer anchored to the beat. A winner.

Let us know what you think of this brand-new track, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Young Buck Settles Debt with 50 Cent Through Bankruptcy

Young Buck Recalls 50 Cent Discouraging G-Unit From Taking Vitamin Water Deal

The long-running financial feud between 50 Cent and former G-Unit member Young Buck appears to have reached its conclusion. After years of public disputes and legal wrangling, Young Buck has finally taken steps to settle his debt to 50 Cent, thanks to a bankruptcy filing.

On August 12, court documents obtained by XXL revealed that Young Buck, real name David Darnell Brown, declared bankruptcy in Tennessee. In the process, the “Shorty Wanna Ride” rapper liquidated many of his most valuable assets, raising over $1 million. This financial maneuver allows Buck to repay a $250,000 loan from 50 Cent, which dates back to 2020.

In addition to settling the debt with 50, Buck’s bankruptcy proceedings will address a $190,000 IRS lien and outstanding child support payments, marking a significant step in resolving his financial challenges.

The tension between 50 Cent and Young Buck has been well-documented, with 50 often taking to social media to call out Buck over the unpaid debt. This latest development signifies a potential end to the public back-and-forth between the two former collaborators, closing a chapter in the G-Unit saga.

For 50 Cent, the resolution marks a victory in his relentless pursuit of the money owed.

50 Cent Sends Message To Young Buck As He Prepares To Repay Debt

Yesterday, a major update in the ongoing battle between former G-Unit bandmates came through by way of AllHipHop. According to them, Young Buck had collected enough money to pay off the debt he owes 50 Cent. It totals out to $250,000 and it comes from a loan that the G-Unit head honcho took out to aid Buck. Speaking of which, the latter had to apply for bankruptcy in 2020 after life hit him hard in 2019. It took the Nashville, Tennessee rapper quite a bit of time to come up with the money. However, things finally seem to be on the up and up for Buck.

Unfortunately, he did need to sell a lot of valuable assets to get this done. From jewelry to expensive cars to his catalog, Buck ultimately had to sacrifice in order to satisfy 50. All of this was able to go for over one million dollars and because of this, he’s also able to pay the IRS the $190,000 he owes to them for child support. Now, with this being done, HipHopDX says that Buck has no more contractual obligations to 50 Cent.

Young Buck Finally Able To Repay His $250,000 Debt To 50 Cent

According to a report from AllHipHop, Nashville rapper Young Buck, former G-Unit member, is now able to repay 50 Cent. This of course stems from the longstanding dispute between these two mortal enemies over failing to meet contractual obligations. Young Buck had to file for bankruptcy in May of 2020 due to severe financial struggles and jail time as well. However, because Fif felt that Buck was not living up to these requirements, the G-Unit boss was trying to block him from filing for bankruptcy. Overall, it seems that the head honcho has won the never-ending back-and-forth. Overall, $250,000 was the target for the multi-hyphenate, and he’s getting all of it.

“According to documents obtained by AllHipHop.com, Buck has sold enough assets from his estate to cover all outstanding claims, including his debt to 50 Cent”. The publication goes into further detail on exactly what Buck had to sell off. That reportedly includes jewelry, vehicles, and his catalog. Overall, all of this turned out to total $1,023,669.67.

Young Buck Can Reset After Paying 50 Cent

On top of removing this massive figure off his plate, Young Buck is also able to clear off his child support burden. That number has accumulated to $190,000 and is owed to the IRS. This has to be a great feeling for the Tennessee native, regardless of how he feels toward 50. It might be a decently long road back, but the veteran MC can start over a bit and focus on his future.

What are your thoughts on Young Buck paying back the $250,000 he owes to 50 Cent? Do you think the G-Unit signee will be able rebound fully after this? Does this signify the end of their ugly relationship npw that Fif has his money? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. 50 Cent Continues To Seek Out $250k Debt From Young Buck

50 Cent and Young Buck’s legal and public battles don’t seem to be wrapping up any time soon. The former signed the latter to his G-Unit record label a full 10 years ago. The original contract stipulates Buck would release two albums on the label, but the relationship quickly soured. 50 alleges that Buck released multiple songs without the consent of the label, which would violate his contract. While the breach in contract is a part of 50’s legal challenge, it’s mostly focusing on a $250k investment the label made into Buck.

The $250k originated as an upfront payment to Buck when he signed his contract back in 2014. The expectation is that the money would be recouped through the releases the rapper contributed to the label, though that obviously never happened. That sparked a legal battle over the money that has been going on for years. In 2020, Buck filed for bankruptcy in an attempt to restructure his debts which included the $250k he owes 50 and G-unit. According to AllHipHop, legal representatives for the two rappers have been going back and forth in court trying to argue whether Buck should be expected to pay the full original amount.

50 Cent & Young Buck Go Back & Forth Over Sexuality Claims

50 Cent is a merciless trolling opponent, and even past members of his G-Unit crew aren’t safe from his wrath. Moreover, you may know that he has an active beef with Young Buck, one that began in the late 2000s by falling out over Buck’s financial struggles. Specifically, he claimed that his label boss has a grudge against him after forcibly selling the rights to his music due to bankruptcy. No matter where their spat stands now, they’ve brought in other jabs and accusations in the mix. For example, the business mogul posted a picture insinuating that Buck has been in same-sex relationships.

“Didn’t make sense when we was taking the pic, but it makes whole lot of sense now. [laughing emojis] That boy like them boys!” 50 Cent captioned a post on Thursday (March 14) with a picture whose on-screen caption read “That time Young Buck refused a pic with Caitlyn Jenner” with a picture of the two G-Unit members with a transgender woman. “Dam bro @50cent… if ya miss me just say dat…” Buck replied via his Instagram Story, reminding folks that he turns 43 today (Friday, March 15). “Tell a n***a happy birthday if you gone mention me.”

“It’s just like, you rich, my man,” Buck said of the Fif beef on Steve-O’s podcast earlier this year. “You still doing your thing. I love your TV show Power, you know what I mean? Why are you doing this to me?! Bruh, we was once brothers. I’ve always looked at you as big brother. Young Buck Bankruptcy: Nashville Native Denies Owing 50 Cent $250K

Young Buck has been facing financial struggles head-on for over a decade now, but he and his legal team are putting up a fight when it comes to paying Curtis Jackson back an alleged $250K advance from G-Unit. According to documents exclusively obtained by AllHipHop, this conflict between 50 Cent and Buck goes back to July 2014, with the former alleging that the latter’s failure to complete his contract with the East Coast label means he owes hundreds of thousands of dollars. Meanwhile, the Nashville native claims the money was never classified as a loan, and therefore, he’s not worried about returning it.

“They argue that any money Buck received would have been before the contract’s signing and should be considered an advance rather than a debt,” the outlet says of the 42-year-old’s lawyers. Attorney Jonathan Augusta also notes that “the contract lacks any provision requiring Buck to repay these funds, thereby challenging the basis of G-Unit Records’ claim.” Overall, Buck’s legal team is seeking to have the case dismissed.

Young Buck and 50 Cent Remain at Odds

It’s worth noting that this isn’t Buck’s first time filing bankruptcy. That was back in 2010 when his debts to Fif, the IRS, his co-parent, and other poor spending habits caught up to him. The second instance was a decade later, focusing on “restructuring his debts under Chapter 13 bankruptcy protection” following a bumpy 2019 with jail time and more money struggles arising. In part, this strategic move has been an attempt to challenge Jackson, and we’re eager to see what happens for both creatives when all is said and done.

Even when he has numerous legal battles and a hectic work schedule to stay on top of, 50 Cent knows how to keep us laughing. As he continues to work on his exposé documentary about Sean “Diddy” Combs, the New York native isn’t tiptoeing as he loudly taunts the accused assailant and his alleged past transgressions.
