Westside Gunn Starts New Wrestling Promotions Company

It is a known fact that Westside Gunn is a huge wrestling fan. Until last year when the WWE filed a cease and desist against him for the unauthorized use of the audio from one of their former announcers, many of his projects were filled with audio from wrestling promos. He even had a wrestling match on stage while performing earlier this year.

It looks like the Griselda Records co-founder is taking his love for wrestling to the next step as he announced that he will be starting a new wrestling promotions company.

Westside Gunn made the announcement on Instagram, saying that the new company is going to be called 4THROPE and that his first signee would be former WWE NXY wrestler Parker Boudreaux.

“Y’all Done Fucked Up!!!! Meet @theparkerboudreaux the 1st official wrestler W/ 4THROPE,” Gunn wrote. “We’re about to do something the Wrestling world has NEVER scene, EVERYBODY knows I’m the biggest wrestling fan in the world but now I’m about to mix Cultures and present special talent, 🔥🔥 merch, 4THROPE radio, 4THROPE TV, and again HIGH LEVEL ART stay tuned for more 4THROPE announcements and LINK IN MY BIO we just World Premiered on AEW tonight start it at the 28min. Mark 4⃣ROPE.”

The Buffalo MC then took to Twitter where he put out a call for people interested in working for the new boxing promotion.

“I’m a need some Loyal, hungry great minds to join the 4THROPE team to take over the Culture, but you’ll HAVE to love wrestling just as much as me and have the knowledge.. I also wanna join forces with a few Dope Wrestling podcasts as well…. I’m a make a email soon STAY TUNED!!”

Earlier today he took to Twitter again where he showed his gratitude for the overwhelming support for starting the new wrestling promotions company.

“The Responses for 4THROPE has been overwhelming THANK U to EVERYBODY who’s reached out, we’re gonna make this SPECIAL & this is a brand I’ll be building with the Wrestling community.. I want to have Fun, I want to continue to be innovative & I wanna make History #4thRope.”

Westside Gunn Delivers New Project ‘Peace Fly God’

Westside Gunns is back off Paris Fashion Week and releasing his new project Peace Fly God. The entire release was created in a 48-hour session.

“As soon as I landed back in the states from Paris, the homies pulled right up on me,” Gunn said of the album.

The new release has production from Madlin, Daringer, Conductor Williams, and Don Carrera. Joining Westside on the bars are Stove God Cooks and Estee Nack. Not one to leave his fans hanging, Gunn will be back with Michelle Records later this year.

Westside Gunn Shares The Release Date And Tracklist For His Upcoming Project, ‘Peace “Fly” God’

Westside Gunn is certainly one of today’s more active artists in hip-hop. in just the last five years, he’s released 14 solo or joint projects and also joined his Griselda labelmates for their WWCD debut album in 2019. Westside’s solo catalog boasts highlights like 2020’s Pray For Paris and Who Made the Sunshine, the latter being his debut project with his ex-label Shady Records. After last year’s Hitler Wears Hermes 8: Sincerely, Adolf, Westside is looking to give his fans another memorable project with the upcoming release of Peace “Fly” God.

After teasing the project for some time, Westside finally shared some key details about Peace “Fly” God. He revealed in a tweet that the project will arrive on July 8. In that same post, he also unveiled its tracklist which flaunts a crisp 10 songs with production from Madlib, Don Carrera, Daringer, and Conductor Williams. Additionally, Peace “Fly” God will also feature appearances from Stove God Cooks and Estee Nack, but Westside did not reveal which song(s) they will be on.

Westside Gunn & A$AP Rocky Link Up for Studio Session Prior to Coachella

Westside Gunn and A$AP Rocky got a chance to build just before the festivities of Coachella kicked off. According to the Griselda rapper Gunn, the two New York emcees linked and hung out for hours. He said they even got a chance to make music, and Rocky laid a verse for MICHELLE RECORDS.

It’s uncertain when and where Westside Gunn will debut this track, but last year he did promise fans a joint with him A$AP, Playboi Carti, and Metro Boomin’.

“I did a joint with Metro Boomin, A$AP Rocky, and Playboi Carti,” he teased. “Crazy, crazy lineup. Just me, Playboi Carti, Rocky, the energy was crazy. I’m not gon’ lie, A$AP Rocky smoked that shit. Playboi Carti came in the booth, smoked that shit. Metro Boomin went stupid on the beat. I look forward to that dropping.”

Although we haven’t got that yet, there was an unofficial track with them two on Soundcloud called “Hermes Handgun.”

Westside Gunn’s popularity rose in the rap game due to his phenomenal catalog, including Pray For Paris, Flygod Is An Awesome God 2, and his Shady Records debut Who Made The Sunshine. Westside Gunn’s name will keep heading up whenever this track with him and A$AP Rocky drops.

Coachella is set to kick off on April 15, and while A$AP Rocky isn’t a part of the line-up, Westside Gunn is. Gunn will be performing on Sunday, Doja Cat, J.I.D., Denzel Curry, Vince Staples, Maxo Kream, Channel Tres, and many more.

Benny The Butcher, Conway The Machine, And Westside Gunn Announce Griselda’s Claires Back Tour

Despite some apparent internal strife amongst the core trio over their unbalanced contracts, it looks like Griselda Records‘ Benny The Butcher, Conway The Machine, and Westside Gunn are still on good enough terms to head out on tour together, which they’ll do following their upcoming appearance at Coachella. Their Claires Back Tour kicks off May 10 in Chicago and will hit 10 venues in total, crossing the nation to conclude on June 3 in Los Angeles. They’ll be joined on the tour by Future’s Freebandz artist, Doe Boy.

After releasing their major-label debut album WWCD on Shady Records in 2019, the Buffalo big three has spent the last handful of years dropping multiple solo projects, although they all appear on each other’s material as well. Meanwhile, the label as a whole has grown to encompass a wide range of underground approved acts such as Armani Caesar, Boldy James, Mach-Hommy, and Stove God Cooks. However, that success didn’t stop Conway from revealing that he left the label after completing his contracted obligation with God Don´t Make Mistakes earlier this year.

In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, Conway said. ” “I didn’t even read that contract, bro. I didn’t read that shi*t. I just signed that sh*t and moved on. Unfortunately, the contract wasn’t in my favor. So now, going forward, it’s time to redo all that. Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine, and Benny the Butcher Announce Spring Griselda Tour

The Buffalo, NY-based hip hop collective Griselda recently announced a run of ten gigs around the US this spring. After performing at Coachella this April, Griselda will embark on their nationwide Claires Back Tour starting in Chicago on May 10 and finishing at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles on June 3. On May 15, the band will perform at the brand-new Boston venue Roadrunner as part of their tour. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, March 25 at http://www.griseldaxfr.com/.

This will be Griselda’s first tour since they sold out back-to-back gigs at the Novo in Los Angeles in 2020. Since then, the band has been active, releasing critically acclaimed albums and performing at festivals like Day N Vegas, Made in America, and Rolling Loud.

Griselda is coming off a succession of highly anticipated album releases, beginning with Westside Gunn’s latest addition to his HWH collection, HWH8, which he released earlier this year. Conway The Machine released his critically lauded album God Don’t Make Mistakes in February, including Jill Scott, Lil Wayne, TI, Beanie Sigel, and others. Benny The Butcher broke new ground earlier this month when his single “Johnny P’s Caddy,” featuring J. Cole, from his latest album Tana Talk 4, reached the Billboard Hot 100.
