Wendy Williams’ “Dire And Scary” Circumstances Worried Documentary Producers, They Admit

Lifetime’s controversial docuseries Where Is Wendy Williams? continues to make waves months after its first episode premiered. Even before it aired, fans raised concern over the beloved former talk show host’s condition, and whether or not it was ethical to put her most vulnerable moments on display. These concerns were only compounded when it was revealed that Williams was diagnosed with dementia and aphasia.

According to executive producer Mark Ford, however, the point was to expose the “dire” conditions she was living in. During a recent panel, Ford opened up about filming, claiming that he and other producers grew increasingly worried. “The deeper we got into it, we didn’t want to let go of Wendy until we got her back in touch with her family,” he explained, according to PEOPLE. “Because we felt that at a certain point that’s who’s going to be there for her to care for her.”

Where Is Wendy Williams? Producers Reflect On Filming

“You could see Erica and Michael towards the end of the documentary, very, very worried and saying to her management, who was the only other person that was coming into her apartment on a daily basis, ‘Something has to be done to help her.’ This is getting very dire and scary,” Ford continued. “And because she was under a guardianship, her family couldn’t just fly up and hang out and decide to get involved in her medical care. They were removed from that process by the courts. So they could face legal ramifications if they tried to get too involved.”

“I just think, in the end, you really see what happens when a guardian has complete control and the family is cut out and they don’t know how she’s being treated medically. And they don’t know what’s happened with her finances,” co-executive producer Erika Hanson also added. What do you think of Where Is Wendy Williams? producers being worried about her while filming the doc? Judge Reprimands Wendy Williams’ Guardian for Withholding Financial Records From Ex

Wendy

Courtroom drama surrounding Wendy Williams and her ex-husband Kevin Hunter reached new heights last week as Kevin Hunter appeared in New Jersey Superior Court for the first hearing of his alimony battle. Cut off from alimony payments two years ago without explanation, Kevin sought resolution, only to face reprimand from the judge and Wendy’s financial guardian, Sabrina Morrissey.

In a report by The Sun, it’s now revealed that Judge Michael Katz admonished Wendy’s guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, for withholding Wendy’s financial records from Kevin Hunter, despite his repeated requests. Katz emphasized that there could be no resolution regarding Kevin’s divorce payments without access to Wendy’s financial records.

Sabrina Morrissey defended her actions, citing privacy concerns under New York court regulations. Judge Katz emphasized the importance of providing all relevant information for the resolution of the matter. Kevin Hunter expressed his frustration, alleging that Wendy had sufficient funds, especially given her recent lucrative deal with the Lifetime docuseries, “Where Is Wendy Williams?”

“It’s been three years since the divorce payments stopped,” Kevin lamented, highlighting Wendy’s financial successes. Judge Katz directed his attention to Sabrina, urging cooperation and transparency in the process to facilitate a fair resolution.

As the dispute continues, both parties await further legal proceedings and potential resolutions under the scrutiny of the court.

Wendy Williams Ex-Husband Kevin Hunter Looking Confident Before $112K Court Battle

Kevin Hunter, ex-husband of Wendy Williams, is ready for his day in court. Williams was recently diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, resulting in a guardian being appointed to take over her legal duties. Things keep getting more complicated for Hunter and Williams as more news keeps coming out. The beloved former talk show host’s guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, had requested that Hunter return money that he was overpaid with during his and Williams’s divorce. Morrissey alleged that up until October 2021, Hunter was paid by The Wendy Williams Show and was still receiving his monthly salary three months later. Williams’s guardian claims this violated the couple’s divorce agreement.

Kevin Hunter had petitioned the court last month before the current court battle. He claimed he stopped receiving the agreed-upon severance pay of their divorce settlement. This prompted Wiliams’s Guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, to step in, and now we have a court battle. Kevin Hunter is appearing confident despite the legal battle. He posed for pictures and made comments before his court date.

Kevin Hunter posted three pictures of himself in a bluish-gray suit and shades on social media, showing he is ready for a legal face-off. He posted the pictures with the caption, “SHOWTIME..one of MANY to come‼” Hunter has expressed his desire for the judge who presided over his and Wendy Williams’s divorce to help him out. It’s another messy development in what is a sad story in the end. The drama doesn’t seem to stop even as Williams has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia.

The accusations directly conflict with Hunter’s claims about his severance pay. He claims he has stopped receiving the agreed-upon payments since 2022. He hopes to receive 23 months of back pay for the missing funds. The response from Wendy Williams’s guardianship alleges that he was, in fact, getting paid more than was agreed. The court battle will surely be a messy one. Whatever the case, it’s a sad situation. Ultimately, we will get to the bottom of the situation as the court case develops.

Kelvin Hunter, the ex-husband of talk show host Wendy Williams, arrived at court for the first round of their alimony battle, stirring up quite the storm with his unexpected approach. Kelvin chose to represent himself, known as “pro se,” during the court proceedings. The decision to forego legal representation raised eyebrows and left many wondering about his strategy.

Following a recess in the court proceedings, Kelvin took to a live stream, delivering a rambling monologue that left viewers captivated and bewildered. In his unfiltered address, Kelvin made some bold statements, including a threat to unveil the real reason behind Blac Chyna’s appearance in the “Where is Wendy Williams” documentary.

During the stream, Kelvin expressed frustration over what he perceived as a lack of change in Wendy’s financial and mental condition since the controversial documentary’s release. He asserted that he could not be the one to save Wendy, suggesting that only she could make the necessary changes in her life.

However, Kelvin didn’t stop there. He hinted at future plans, tantalizingly telling his detractors to “stay tuned” for what he had in store.

Kevin Hunter Threatens To Expose Blac Chyna Amid Wendy Williams Documentary Backlash

It’s no secret that Lifetime’s Where Is Wendy Williams? docuseries has caused a lot of controversy, and recently, her ex-husband decided to hop online to chime in. Kevin Hunter, whose divorce from Williams was finalized in 2020, took to Instagram earlier this week to respond to some of the backlash he’s been receiving since the doc came out. He fired back at critics with full force. Hunter even dragged the beloved former talk show host’s friend Angela White, FKA Blac Chyna, into the mix.

“All of you miserable humans and women on my page are gonna be very mad, but for the smart people… Who understand the plight of: I’m not trying to play victim. Again, I take full accountability [and] a lot of you still don’t know what’s going on, and you still won’t know what’s going on,” he explained.

Kevin Hunter Accuses Wendy Williams’ Celebrity Peers Of “Enabling” Her

Hunter didn’t stop there, however. He went on to accuse Williams’ celebrity peers of enabling her, specifically White. “So I don’t know what the display was for — all of the people who were involved, the celebrities. Half of them were involved in enabling her,” he said. “So, Blac Chyna, you need to go sit down before I air you out and let people know what you really did.” While it remains unclear exactly what Hunter seemingly plans to expose White for, social media users aren’t here for it. Countless commenters are accusing him of taking advantage of his ex, whose dementia and aphasia diagnoses recently became public. Some also suspect he’s just using the documentary debacle for clout.

What do you think of Kevin Hunter’s reaction to Where Is Wendy Williams? Do you think he deserves the backlash he’s receiving online? What about him calling out Blac Chyna? Are you surprised? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Wendy Williams’ Ex Kevin Hunter Was “Overpaid” $112K In Divorce, Her Guardian Alleges

There’s been no shortage of drama in the world of Wendy Williams as of late. Unfortunately, however, things only appear to be getting more complicated. In new legal documents obtained by Page Six earlier this week, the beloved former talk show host’s guardian Sabrina Morrissey requests that her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, return the money that he was allegedly overpaid. In her filing, Morrissey notes that Hunter received payments from The Wendy Williams Show up until October of 2021. Three months later, however, he was admittedly still being paid monthly.

“I believe this was largely the result of the fact that the payments had been put on an ‘autopay’ function within her account,” Morrissey explains in the court docs. She also claims that this violates the two exes’ settlement agreement. The agreement reportedly states that if Wendy’s income drops below twice what it was as of February 1, 2020, Hunter’s payments would stop. “By holding on to the funds he was overpaid, he has interfered with [Williams’] right of possessions to those funds,” the docs read. Reportedly, Hunter now owes Wendy upwards of $112K.

Sabrina Morrissey Accuses Kevin Hunter Of Benefitting From Wendy’s Money

Morrissey’s filing comes after weeks of uproar over Lifetime’s new Where Is Wendy Williams?docuseries. The series’ producers have faced accusations of exploiting her by putting some of her most vulnerable moments on display. These theories were only compounded following the public reveal of Wendy’s dementia and aphasia diagnoses. Producers maintain that they had no knowledge of this while filming the doc.

What do you think of Wendy Williams’ guardian Sabrina Morrissey filing a new request for Kevin Hunter to pay the former talk show host over $100K? What about her accusing him of benefitting unfairly from Williams’ money and violating their divorce settlement? Are you surprised? Wendy Williams’ Ex-Husband Sued for Overpaid Alimony as Guardian Demands Repayment

Wendy Williams Reveals She Doesn't Have a Prenup With Estranged Husband Kevin Hunter

Former daytime talk show queen Wendy Williams finds herself entangled in legal drama once again, this time with her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, at the center of the storm. Hunter is currently suing Williams for two years’ worth of back alimony payments after allegedly being abruptly cut off when Williams resumed drinking and abandoned her talk show following their divorce. However, the plot thickens as Williams’ court-appointed financial guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, has filed papers demanding that Hunter return $112,500 in alimony payments that she claims he was mistakenly overpaid.

The U.S. Sun reports Morrissey contends that according to the couple’s Marital Settlement Agreement, Hunter was entitled to severance payments from Williams if her yearly earned income exceeded a certain threshold. However, with Williams’ absence from hosting “The Wendy Williams Show” for her entire last season and the subsequent cessation of her full salary payments in October 2021, Morrissey argues that Hunter continued to receive payments despite no longer meeting the criteria outlined in the agreement.

The court filing alleges that Hunter’s receipt of $112,500 in overpaid alimony constitutes unjust enrichment at Williams’ expense. Morrissey is now seeking a court order to compel Hunter to repay the sum, along with any accrued interest.

In addition to the financial dispute, Morrissey is also seeking to impose a gag order on Hunter, preventing him from speaking about the case. This move underscores the escalating tensions between Williams and Hunter, as their legal battle spills into the public eye.

Blac Chyna Calls Controversial Wendy Williams Documentary “Necessary”

In February, Lifetime put some of Wendy Williams’ most vulnerable moments on display in their controversial documentary, Where Is Wendy Williams? Almost immediately, the doc sparked a debate among fans. Many accused producers of exploiting the personality, and the reveal of her dementia and aphasia diagnoses only compounded these concerns. Despite legal pushback from her guardian, however, the doc was still released.

One of Williams’ friends to appear in the doc was Angela White, formerly known as Blac Chyna. She had an emotional conversation with Williams about her current state, offering her some words of support. During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, White reflected on her appearance and addressed the backlash the doc received.

Blac Chyna Reflects On Her Where Is Wendy Williams? Appearance

According to White, she’s yet to watch the full doc, but feels as though she’s seen what she needed to. “I’ve seen certain clips and things like that,” she told the outlet. “I’m the type of person if I see more than what I need to see, I’m gonna have to dig and get to the bottom of certain things. And I’m just like, ‘Whatever for me is supposed to be for me.’” White then went on to reveal that she can relate to Williams’ struggle with substance abuse. According to her, the doc has the potential to help others.

“I definitely think that for me, to be honest, I think it was definitely necessary to be made… I feel like… People actually do need to see it ’cause it is happening, and it can really, honestly happen to anybody… Maybe this is gonna help other people to see,” she explained. “To see Wendy, you know, struggling obviously with the alcohol and her substances over the years, you know, it hurts, and it’s like the alcohol part with me, so it’s like I can relate to that.” What do you think of Blac Chyna’s take on Where Is Wendy Williams? A Look Back At Wendy Williams Spilling Tea About Diddy

Wendy Williams and Diddy haven’t always seen eye to eye. In fact, they publicly acknowledged their contempt for one another. Williams gained a reputation for often stirring the pot, garnering more than a few celebrity adversaries along the way. As far as Diddy goes, Wendy had more than a lot to say about his life and career.

With the allegations and the ongoing investigations involving Diddy, it took no time for netizens to fish out several celebrities who have dropped hints about the mogul’s controversial lifestyle. Wendy leads the pack and has spoken out against Diddy several times. Here is a retrospective look at all Wendy Williams had to say about Diddy.

Wendy Vs. Total

In 2009, on her radio show, The Wendy Williams Experience, Williams recounted an incident where she allegedly nearly faced a confrontation with the girl group Total, who was signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy Records label. She alleged that Diddy had sent the girl group to beat her up while she was still working at Hot 97. “I got off the air one day, them Total b*tches were downstairs, and everybody upstairs at the radio station was looking down, egging it on… Waiting for something to go down,” she said. Williams later explained that her then-boyfriend had prevented the situation from escalating.

Wendy Williams Alleged That Diddy Got Her Fired From Hot 97

During her tenure at Hot 97, Wendy Williams developed a hypothesis regarding Diddy’s potential involvement in sexual encounters with other men. Allegedly, she obtained a photograph depicting a man purportedly pulling down Combs’s shorts while he vacationed in Cancun. In a 2013 interview with Vlad TV, Wendy Williams delicately addressed her departure from Hot 97. Specifically, she hinted that it was linked to her speculation concerning Diddy’s sexuality.

“There was a radio personality once upon a time and her name was Wendy Williams,” she began. “And she was practically burned at the stake for talking about such and now it’s all come full circle. There were many situations back in the day in my career and it’s all coming full circle.” Several years later, her allegation was corroborated by Diddy’s former bodyguard, Gene Deal.

In a 2022 interview with Art of Dialogue, he said: “Diddy got one of the hottest DJs off Hot 97 because she wanted to put up a picture of him getting his pants pulled down. Diddy told Hot 97 if they didn’t get rid of her before he got back in New York, that they was not going to get any music from any of his friends… Before we landed back in New York, Wendy Williams was on the radio station in Philly. It was over for her. She was fired.”

Williams Claims Diddy Put Her Through Hell

Us Weekly reported that in her 2004 book titled The Wendy Williams Experience, the talk show host expressed that she held a level of disdain towards Diddy. She also alleged that he had “single-handedly attempted to sabotage” her career. She wrote: “The hell he put me through, I will never forget. But I don’t hate him.”

Wendy Williams Insisted That Diddy Controlled Cassie

Following a brief breakup between Diddy and Cassie Ventura in 2015, Wendy Williams made some heavy claims. She speculated about a potential power dynamic imbalance between the record producer and the singer. On her televised talk show in 2015, Williams suggested that Combs might have exhibited controlling behavior. “My thing about when you date a mogul, it’s a really difficult thing to avoid them because if you use your head, you never know when they’ll pop up on the scene,” she said. Evidently, Williams’s words held significance. Cassie famously  filed a lawsuit against Diddy in 2024, alleging rape, as well as physical and emotional abuse. Barely a day after the lawsuit’s filing, Diddy and his legal representatives reached an undisclosed settlement with Cassie.

During a 2015 episode of her show, Williams humorously remarked that she doubted Diddy would consider settling down, given his penchant for the party lifestyle. She quipped: “He’ll pick [a woman] and settle down but right now I don’t think he will,” Williams claimed. “I think he’s leading this playboy lifestyle where he’s got these women in his life… where he’s got them hypnotized.” Once again, this has been alleged to be leaning toward the truth. According to Lil Rod’s recent lawsuit against the mogul, Diddy has quite several women under his thumb.

Diddy “Ain’t Going Nowhere”

Wendy Williams and Diddy ultimately seemed to make up in 2017. The artist and producer made a highly anticipated guest appearance on The Wendy Williams Show. Williams expressed to Combs, revealing to the audience that it had been 15 years since they last saw each other. “I know I pissed a lot of people off, including you. But this is a full circle moment.” In 2019, the talk show host reflected on Diddy’s appearance on her show. Speaking to Sway’s Universe, she quipped: “He showed up, he smelled great, his stomach was flat. Heather, he was handsome and he ain’t going nowhere. Can’t be stopped now. Bad Boy for life.” It’s uncertain whether she alluded to his influence and power, but Williams’s sudden admiration for Diddy raised eyebrows.

Wendy Calls Diddy Out For Manipulation

In 2018, amidst one of Diddy and Cassie’s tumultuous break-ups, Wendy Williams didn’t shy away from addressing their breakup on her show. She openly expressed her views, suggesting Cassie might have invested her time in a man considerably older than her, given Diddy’s 17-year seniority. Following the announcement of their split, Diddy made a public attempt at reconciliation through social media about a week later. Initially supportive of their reunion, especially after Diddy’s heartfelt declaration of love for Cassie on her talk show, Wendy Williams later criticized his actions as manipulative. She commented: “I suggest don’t use social media, though, to reach out. This was a grand overture from Puffy. I don’t believe he really wants her or wants her back. I believe he probably treated her at some particular point like a possession… If you really care, then you’d reach out privately, not publicly.”

Wendy Williams’ Son Narrowly Avoids Eviction

Wendy Williams' Son Accuses Her Manager and Others of Enabling his mother as she battles addiction issues

Two years ago, the public eye turned to Kevin Hunter Jr., the son of former daytime talk show host Wendy Williams, when he faced eviction from his Miami apartment. This eviction came amidst his mother’s financial guardianship by Wells Fargo Bank, leading to a cutoff in financial support for Kevin due to his decision to drop out of college. Now, recent reports from The Sun shed light on Kevin’s ongoing financial challenges, revealing a near-eviction scare just last month.

According to The Sun’s exclusive report, Kevin Hunter Jr. found himself on the brink of eviction once again in February. The timing was particularly striking, as it coincided with the airing of a Lifetime docuseries in which Kevin shared his experience of being cut off from his mother’s finances after her placement in guardianship. This docuseries, on which Kevin served as an executive producer, brought attention to his personal struggles, including financial instability.

The details of Kevin’s recent eviction notice paint a picture of mounting financial pressure. On February 26, his apartment building served him with an eviction notice, citing non-payment of rent. Allegedly, Kevin had failed to pay February’s rent, amounting to $4,317.08, despite his monthly rent being $3,731 as per the lease agreement. This situation followed a three-day notice of non-payment issued to Kevin on February 6, indicating a pattern of financial strain.

Fortunately, by March 5, it seems Kevin managed to resolve the matter, as the building’s attorney filed a notice to dismiss the eviction case. However, this incident adds to a series of financial setbacks Kevin has faced, including a previous eviction from a luxury apartment in Miami back in 2022.
