It’s no secret that Diddy’s been subject to tremendous scrutiny as of late. The mogul is currently facing various lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault, physical abuse, and much more. Matters were only made worse for the mogul earlier this month when footage of him beating his ex-girlfriendCassie at a hotel in 2016 surfaced. The footage has since elicited big responses from several of his peers. Many question how Diddy could potentially move beyond this, or if that’s even possible.
Boosie Badazz shared his take on the situation during a recent interview with VladTV. According to him, it’ll be extremely tough for the Bad Boy Records founder to return to the icon status he once had. He explained that other artists will now think twice before working with him, out of fear of being labeled guilty by association.
Boosie Badazz Thinks Other Artists Will Think Twice Before Working With Diddy
He went on to explain how internet sleuths are hard at work, digging up old clips and photos of some artists Diddy has worked with in the past. He mentioned one in particular, The Notorious B.I.G., as well as a photo of the two of them working in the studio that’s made its rounds online. In it, Biggie’s eyes are looking in two different directions, with one laser-focused on Diddy. “You’ve seen the meme with Notorious B.I.G. with the crooked eye,” Boosie said with a laugh. “They say his eye was crooked watching Diddy all the time. Oh my god, bro, it’s not fair anymore. They’re not gonna let you make it.”

FBG Butta is certainly no stranger to making wild claims about his peers, and Lil Durk is no exception. During a recent interview with VladTV, Butta went in on the “All My Life” performer, even accusing him of cooperating with federal authorities. According to him, it’s suspicious that despite being involved in so many cases, Durk is a free man.
Butta also pointed out that he was taken into custody due to his own name being mentioned, even though he’s not as well-known as Durk. “His sh*t got brought up way more than mine,” he explained. “And he got some money too… He’s the feds, gang.” Butta didn’t stop there, however. He also went on to suggest that Lil Durk could be tied to the Illuminati in some way.
FBG Butta Wonders How Lil Durk Has Stayed Out Of Jail
“A lot of people died around Durk from his brother to Von to a whole bunch of other people,” DJ Vlad explained, prompting Butta to share his theory. “Sounds like the Illuminati to me,” he said. “Sounds like Illuminati sacrifices.” He also brought up some dark conspiracy theories about FBG Duck and other prominent rappers, suggesting that manipulation by record labels could be at play. Obviously, none of this is confirmed, and all purely speculation. Durk has yet to respond to FBG Butta’s claims.
This is far from the only criticism Lil Durk has received as of late, however. Earlier this month, the Chicago-born performer debuted a massive new star of Islam chain, which earned him a great deal of backlash online. Commenters called him out for seemingly living a lifestyle that doesn’t align with the teachings of Islam, while others said that men wearing chains is Haram. Boosie Badazz says there are three routes Diddy can take from here on out after CNN published footage of him assaulting Cassie back in 2016. Speaking about the allegations the Bad Boy mogul is facing during an interview with VladTV, Boosie argued that Diddy could invest in religion, come out as gay, or wait at least a decade before making a comeback.
“I don’t know. It’s a cold world out here. I don’t know. Only God knows,” he said before referencing Chris Brown. When Vlad asks if artists will want to work with him again, Boosie said: “I don’t think all of them gonna go to work with him. I’m not doubting his comeback or whatever, but he’s gonna have to do something different. I don’t know what it’ll take.” He added that Brown had a better chance at a comeback because women were “infatuated” with him on another level. “And, Diddy has allegations of liking d*ck too. He has those allegations also so a lot of straight women who love men are not gonna come see him perform or support him. I say his options are let it die down for a decade and try to come back, or go Christian and get saved, or go gay.”
Further speaking about the possibility of a comeback for Diddy, Boosie also joked that he thinks he’ll sample his apology to Cassie as an intro for a future song. “I feel like that was the intro to a song,” Boosie said. “I feel like [in] five years you gon’ hear that on one of his comeback songs…That was an intro.” Check out Boosie’s full comments on Diddy below.
Boosie Badazz On Diddy’s Options
In the time since Boosie’s interview, Rolling Stone has published an investigation into Diddy that includes new allegations from his time at Howard University. Be on the lookout for further updates on Boosie Badazz on HotNewHipHop.
Boosie Badazz says he expects Diddy to use his apology for assaulting Cassie in 2016 as an intro to a future song. Boosie discussed the security footage CNN published earlier this month that shows Diddy appearing to throw Cassie to the ground and kick her during an interview with VladTV.
Speaking about Diddy’s apology, Boosie painted a picture of a scenario where the Bad Boy mogul is trying to make a comeback in a number of years. “I feel like that was the intro to a song,” Boosie said. “I feel like [in] five years you gon’ hear that on one of his comeback songs…That was an intro.”
Diddy & Cassie Perform At The MTV European Music Awards
Elsewhere in the interview, Boosie discussed the video itself and labeled Diddy a “sick” individual. When Vlad suggested that Diddy chasing after Cassie was the worst part of the situation, Boosie countered: “That’s not the bad part, him chasing her down. Him kicking her on that ground, like, you kick somebody in the face, you’re motherf*cking– you sick man. A woman, you sick bro. I was pissed. I was like, ‘Damn, Diddy.’” He later added: “Man, all you gotta do is restrain the woman. Grab them hands and hold them hands down. I don’t think a woman can make you mad enough to do that, I don’t think nothing can make you mad enough to– That was some sick sh*t… I think when you do something like that, that’s not the first time. That’s got to be, it’s a pattern man. It’s just like when you whoop a n***a ass or get in a fight with n****s. You get better and better.”

Boosie Badazz went off on Diddy for being a “sick” individual during a new interview with VladTV. While the two were discussing the viral security footage of Diddy appearing to assault Cassie at a hotel back in 2016, he explained that the type of violence he showed is never justifiable.
When Vlad mentioned that Diddy chasing after Cassie was the worst part of the situation in his mind, Boosie took a different opinion. “That’s not the bad part, him chasing her down. Him kicking her on that ground, like, you kick somebody in the face, you’re motherf*cking– you sick man. A woman, you sick bro,” Boosie said. “I was pissed. I was like, ‘Damn, Diddy.’”
After Vlad elaborated on his opinion on the matter, Boosie continued: “Man, all you gotta do is restrain the woman. Grab them hands and hold them hands down. I don’t think a woman can make you mad enough to do that, I don’t think nothing can make you mad enough to– That was some sick sh*t… I think when you do something like that, that’s not the first time. Boosie Badazz Speaks On Diddy Appearing To Assault Cassie
CNN first published the footage earlier this month. Within days, Diddy shared a video of himself apologizing for the incident. Additionally, he claimed he’s been getting professional help to better himself. Be on the lookout for further updates on Boosie Badazz on HotNewHipHop.
DJ Vlad is better known as the founder of VladTV. To many, he has established himself as a prominent figure in Hip Hop media. However, this sentiment isn’t unanimously shared. After all, DJ Vlad has had his fair share of controversial moments, led by his interviews, which many have found to be exploitative in nature. Most recently, he’s been under intense fire for trying to get a Black Professor fired from Princeton, which many have attributed to white fragility. But a couple more controversies have surrounded DJ Vlad over the years.
His Interview Style
One of the primary criticisms directed at DJ Vlad revolves around his interview techniques. Numerous Hip Hop artists have publicly criticized DJ Vlad for his interview style, particularly his choice of questions. Some feel he crosses boundaries and exploits sensitive topics for clicks and views. Many of his questions are provocative, taking aim at crime, violence, and legal issues among predominantly Black artists. This approach has led to accusations that he sensationalizes serious issues for entertainment value.
Further, DJ Vlad employs a distinctive style of interview that many view as interrogative. For example, the New Jersey rapper Tsu Surf called him out on this, saying, “Realistically, there is such a thing as bait. You’re a baiter. Of course, you wouldn’t say, ‘I got anybody indicted,’ but you fish. You feel me? And some of my peers, some of the people that sat in this seat aren’t smart or witty enough to know when there is bait being swung their way, or when they are supposed to dip the bait.”
Suspected Involvement With Law Enforcement
Another contentious aspect of DJ Vlad’s career is suspicion about his cooperation with law enforcement. Several interviewees have raised concerns about statements made during interviews being used against them in legal proceedings. And if we’re being honest, his interview style doesn’t help his case. During discussions, guests sit in front of the camera. At the same time, Vlad, reportedly at another location, asks probing questions that can come across as highly incriminating and potentially suggestive of a setup.
This has given the platform a reputation for having a curse—the “Vlad Curse.” People have alleged that whoever Vlad interviews gets arrested. Some examples of artists include Keefe D, who was arrested for the murder of Tupac Shakur, and Ralo, who was apprehended and accused of running a cross-country drug operation. Speaking to RevoltTV about the curse, Vlad said he didn’t believe it to be true. “I mean, apart from the Keffe D situation, I’ve never heard of that actually happening,” he said. “Just to keep it 100. Like, I’ve never heard of our stuff actually being used, an interview being used against someone in a case that they actually talked about. In my rationale, for the Keefe D situation, he wrote a f*cking book.”
Weaponizing Whiteness
Most recently, DJ Vlad shared his thoughts on Kendrick Lamar’s new Drake diss track, “Not Like Us,” via X. He commented on the mix, suggesting potential improvements. In response, Morgan Jerkins, an author, editor, Princeton University professor, and famed producer Darkchild’s niece, advised against involvement in the viral conversation. She wrote: “You are WHITE. This is a BLACK FOLK AFFAIR.”
Vlad responded swiftly and firmly to the remark. He even went as far as tagging Princeton directly in his reply, which many have remarked was in extremely poor taste: “Wait, so a professor at @Princeton is telling me that a white person shouldn’t be allowed to voice their opinion about Hip Hop? Is that how you interact with your students?”
The exchange continued as Vlad threatened to contact Princeton, again tagging the university. He then insinuated that she might lose her job at Princeton if he followed this action. Although Vlad tried to backtrack on his tweets the next day, saying he was only defending himself, Jerkins pointed out that he had already contacted the university by tagging them. Even the author Marc Lamont Hill tried to call Vlad out for weaponizing his whiteness, but Vlad instead made scalding comments about Lamont losing his job. Altogether, this entire exchange felt like something out of a Karen playbook, as DJ Vlad allegedly weaponized his white fragility in an attempt to get a Black woman fired.
Employing The Use Of Click Bait Headlines
VladTV is also known for giving his videos certain titles that are sure to stir up trouble. In 2021, he titled an episode of his show, “Kal Dawson was in the car when 50 Cent Got Shot 9 Times, Kal Got Shot Also.” According to The Source, the video was focused on the harrowing incident where 50 Cent was shot multiple times. 50 Cent subsequently posted a screenshot of the video with the word “FRAUDULENT” put over the video. He also asked for the video to be taken down. “I want this video taken down now!” he said.
Accusations Of Being A Culture Vulture
DJ Vlad’s real name is Vladislav Lyubovny, and he is a white Ukrainian man. Therefore, his work in primarily Black culture has worked both for him and against him. As a result, Vlad has also been tagged as a “culture vulture.” Folks have accused him of preying on Black culture. Moreover, he mostly focuses on the negative side of Black artistry and communities.
Marvin Shadi Powers, the uncle of the late rapper Bankroll Fresh, was one of the first to label DJ Vlad a “culture vulture.” VladTV debuted an interview with No Plug, the individual accused of Bankroll’s murder, during which No Plug claimed the shooting was an act of self-defense. Soon after, Powers sent a passionate letter to Vlad, calling him out on his bias.
“You disrespectful culture vulture,” he began. “When I asked you to interview Bankroll PJ and how he was continuing the legacy, you had a subordinate call me to tell me you’re passing on PJ. He had just released a new single out, plus he’s starring in a new FX TV show (Atlanta) this fall with Childish Gambino, but no that was too positive, huh? Not enough Black-on-Black crime?”
Adam22 is furious with Joe Budden and thinks that No Jumper, VladTV, and DJ Akademiks are the three biggest hip-hop outlets. In a video on No Jumper’s social media pages, he compared the views for both his pages and Budden’s.
Adam began by claiming that someone sent him a clip of Budden remarking that No Jumper is in bad shape. “Let’s do the science,” he responded. “Joe Budden’s channel has gotten 12 million views in the past month. No Jumper’s main channel plus our clips channel has done about 26 or 27 million views for the past month. So, we are two times, by far, what you have going on. And on top of that, we kill it on Facebook. We kill it on Snapchat. We have 3 million followers on Instagram and we make a huge amount of money on there.”
From there, Adam added: “Joe Budden, I don’t wanna hear sh*t. You’re running a chop shop. You might have the whole hip-hop media gassed into thinking that you’re really killing it like that but trust me, when you wanna talk about who’s really doing business out here, it’s not you. There’s a big three and you’re not in it. It’s me, Vlad, and that fat motherf*cker you were sitting with.” Despite posting it on No Jumper, many of the fans in the comments section disagreed with Adam. “No jumper had potential to be the top but y’all cover more LA gang bangin and p**n than hiphop,” one top comment reads. Another argued: “It’s Akademiks, Say Cheese & The shade room Tbh.”
DDG says he was being “petty” when he DM’d Rubi Rose back in 2023 amid a fight with Halle Bailey. Speaking about the incident with VladTV for a new interview, he explained that he knew Rose would post the messages and wanted Halle to see them because he was upset.
“I did it in front of her. I had no intention of actually linking with Rubi Rose,” he said. “She seen it. Imagine you’re arguing with your girl and you get mad at her for something. ‘I’m finna do this. Watch this,” type sh*t. I feel like people thought that I was like sneakily like ‘Oh what you doing?’ and that’s when she posted it. I know what type of girl she is.”
Elsewhere in the interview, DDG discussed convincing Rubi Rose to create an OnlyFans account. He also argued that he wouldn’t have a problem if Halle had a profile either. “She wouldn’t because her brand is completely different… But as an average female, or a female that don’t have that type of image, or that type of sh*t going for you, the OnlyFans sh*t, especially if you already lit, all you gotta do is– Bhad Bhabie made $50 million. $50 million the moment she turned 18. She ain’t on there f*cking nobody. She just on their posting what she would post on Instagram. It was smart.” He also described 2023 as a “set-back,” as far as the music side of his career. Check out the full conversation below.
DDG and Halle welcomed their first child, earlier this year, after keeping the pregnancy a secret from fans. Be on the lookout for further updates on DDG and Halle Bailey on HotNewHipHop.
The Game is picking Nicki Minaj over Megan Thee Stallion following their recent exchange of diss tracks. Speaking about the beef during an interview with VladTV, Game argued that “Big Foot” was a better song than “Hiss.”
He began: “I like ‘Big Foot.’ You know what? I like when she said, ‘Get on the good foot.’ I thought that was like a good punchline.” On the song, Nicki raps: “Bad b*tch, she like 6 foot, I call her Bigfoot/The b*tch fell off, I said ‘Get up on your good foot’” From there, Vlad brought up Tory Lanez shooting Megan, to which Game responded: “Exactly, or did she? Or did she not? I don’t know. I mean, I wasn’t there and neither were you.” After Vlad reminded Game about “Hiss,” the rapper added: “The thing about Megan’s Law is, didn’t that offend somebody or something?… In rap beefs, if you can keep it about the person, it kind of gives you an edge so I gotta give that one to Nicki.”
The Game Performs At Summertime In The LBC Music Festival
Megan kicked off the feud with Nicki by seemingly calling out her husband, Kenneth Petty, on the song, “Hiss.” In doing so, she made reference to him being a registered sex offender. “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan/These hoes mad at Megan’s Law”, she rapped. Nicki fired back on social media with several rants before dropping “Big Foot.” Check out The Game’s full comments on the feud below.

It goes without saying that French Montana has managed to do the impossible by making a name for himself and standing out in the hip-hop space. While plenty of this has to do with the hitmaker’s musical abilities, he also has his marketing skills to thank, according to Tony Yayo. During a recent conversation with VladTV, the NYC-born performer praised French for his talents, arguing that they’ve put him ahead of the pack.
“These are the marketing geniuses right here,” Tony Yayo begins in a clip from the interview. “So I’m always going to shout them out… French to me was always a marketing genius. He always was kind of smart… he was always just kind of ahead of his time.”
While he may have been ahead of his time, French Montana hasn’t been able to dodge criticism following the release of his latest project, Mac & Cheese 5. The performer received some pushback from fans for dropping various versions of the mixtape on streaming services, including one massive 126-track edition, which features the tracks from all versions combined. He even faced fraud allegations, after various listeners came forward claiming their pre-ordered vinyl copies of the record were shipped to incorrect addresses.
Ultimately, the project ended up debuting well below what was previously projected. Despite the backlash, he stands by the release, including the controversial 126-track edition. In a message shared with social media followers late last month, French called the decision nothing but “simple science,” and compared himself to the likes of City Girls’ JT and even Taylor Swift. What do you think of Tony Yayo’s recent praise for French Montana? Do you agree that the Morocco-born performer is a “marketing genius” as he says?
