Fivio Foreign Explains What He Did With His 1.7 Million Signing Bonus

Stories of rappers falling to financial irresponsibility are pretty common in hip-hop. Many rappers have regrettable stories spawning from the financial choices they made earlier in their career. Thankfully, many have taken the opportunity to try and pass some of that financial wisdom along to their peers to prevent them from making the same mistakes. During a recent interview, Fivio Foreign opened up on what he did with his early signing bonus and what he wished he’d known at the time.

The first thing he reveals he purchased is a nearly $100k bulletproof truck. He describes that as the “smartest” decision he made with his money. He also explains that he spent tens of thousands of dollars on chains. But the biggest mistake in his eyes is that he put his money into renting a house instead of buying one. In the comments, fans are pretty skeptical of Fivio’s choices. In particular, they take issue with him calling his bulletproof truck purchase the smartest move he made. “The smartest thing he did from 350,000$ was purchase a 100,00$ bullet Proof truck…. Unbelievable” one of the top comments on the post reads. “That was the “smartest thing”?” another comment agrees.

Fivio Foerign is gearing up to release his new album this weekend. Despite sharing a release date with volume 1 of Kanye West’s new album Vultures and Usher’s highly-anticipated new project, Fivio isn’t moving the release date. Schoolboy Q Starts New Blog Series As New Album Approaches

On the first day of March, Schoolboy Q will release his first new album in five years since 2019’s critically panned Crash Talk. The album is called Blue Lips and he announced it earlier this month. It’s the first release in what many are expecting to be a big year for his label Top Dawg Entertainment. Earlier this year a document leaked from the label claiming that nearly every single artist currently on their label and even a few new ones have music coming this year.

Schoolboy Q has taken primarily to YouTube to promote the album so far. It began earlier this week when he dropped two new tracks from the project each with their own videos. The songs are called “Blueslides” and “Back In Love” and present two very different sounds from Q. In addition to those tracks he’s also shared part one in a Vlog series. The series is called wHy not? and the first episode takes fans behind the scenes of some of the recording and promotion for Blue Lips. Check out the first episode of his new Vlog series below.

Schoolboy Q hasn’t just been working on his own music though. Late last year he popped up on Hell & Nash 2. The album was a long awaited second collaboration between The Alchemist, Conway The Machine, and Westside Gunn. He contributed a guest verse to the track “Fork In The Pot.” The track instantly became a fan favorite and currently sits as the most streamed song on the album on Spotify with nearly 900k plays.

That came a few days after Schoolboy Q found himself in hot water for standing by Kanye West. Earlier this week, Sexyy Red gave birth to her second child. She let her fans know with an announcement post on Instagram that was exactly the kind of thing they’ve come to expect from her. The final game of the NFL season is right around the corner. Next weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl and there’s musical intrigue abound. Usher is set to take one of the biggest stages in all of music with his Super Bowl Halftime show performance. He’s also dropping a new album in advance of the performance on February 9. One of the biggest stars in all of music will likely be present as well as Taylor Swift is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Fans calculated how long it would take her to get from her Eras Tour show in Japan back to Las Vegas for the game.

But there are also going to be plenty of celebrities staring in Super Bowl Advertisements. Companies often spend millions upon millions of dollars for their short ad slots and make the most of them by getting major celebrity endorsements. One of those is Cardi B, who is doing her first beauty collaboration with NYX. They shared a teaser trailer for the ad that features Cardi B testing out the brand’s new high-pump lip gloss. “It’s time to stand on business. I ain’t create it, but I’m the one that got everybody saying it,” he ranted to viewers earlier this week. “I ain’t create it. I’d be a liar if I said I created it. That s**t’s been on years and years,” Harris further admitted.
