Fivio Foreign Explains What He Did With His 1.7 Million Signing Bonus

Stories of rappers falling to financial irresponsibility are pretty common in hip-hop. Many rappers have regrettable stories spawning from the financial choices they made earlier in their career. Thankfully, many have taken the opportunity to try and pass some of that financial wisdom along to their peers to prevent them from making the same mistakes. During a recent interview, Fivio Foreign opened up on what he did with his early signing bonus and what he wished he’d known at the time.

The first thing he reveals he purchased is a nearly $100k bulletproof truck. He describes that as the “smartest” decision he made with his money. He also explains that he spent tens of thousands of dollars on chains. But the biggest mistake in his eyes is that he put his money into renting a house instead of buying one. He explains that he didn’t really process the difference he just wanted to move somewhere quickly. Check out the full videos of him explaining his financial decisions after cutting his deal below.

Fivio Foreign On What He Did After Signing His Rap Deal

In the comments, fans are pretty skeptical of Fivio’s choices. In particular, they take issue with him calling his bulletproof truck purchase the smartest move he made. “The smartest thing he did from 350,000$ was purchase a 100,00$ bullet Proof truck…. Unbelievable” one of the top comments on the post reads. “That was the “smartest thing”?” another comment agrees.

Other comments just pulled up with jokes. “I have so many thoughts ,but it’s black history month and I’m not gonna bash my bros lol” and “I ain’t heard nun about paying taxes” two of the top comments on the post read. Fivio Foerign is gearing up to release his new album this weekend. Despite sharing a release date with volume 1 of Kanye West’s new album Vultures and Usher’s highly-anticipated new project, Fivio isn’t moving the release date. Meek Mill Seeking Major Distributor For “Dream Chaser Records”

Meek Mill needs help, and though fans might not be able to do much, they can annoy major labels as much as possible to complete the mission. Moreover, he recently took to Twitter to ask for assistance in taking his endeavors, career, and artistic oversight to new heights. “Looking for major distribution for ‘DREAM CHASER RECORDS’ asap!” the Philly MC expressed on the social media platform on Thursday (November 2). What’s more is that he actually has a couple of options if he wanted to get in touch with the game to find a loophole around this. Furthermore, that’s because if the Roc Nation affiliate is taking to Twitter for this, maybe he hasn’t had much luck by traditional means.

As such, perhaps his good friend and frequent collaborator Rick Ross, who’s dropping a collab album with him very soon, could help. After all, Rozay offered to distribute Kanye West’s new album and seemed very open to the idea. Of course, that comes with a lot of public baggage due to Ye’s controversial statements and behavior as of late, but what better way to get press than to ruffle some feathers? Overall, it stands to reason that a partnership between Dream Chasers and Maybach Music Group would be a fitting and fruitful venture for Meek Mill.

Meek Mill Issues A Call For A Major Distributor To Help Dream Chasers

Not only that, but this is especially relevant considering the major developments and strides that he’s made in his career recently. For example, Meek Mill recently announced that authorities officially and fully cleared his criminal record, overcoming a tumultuous and far too cumbersome part of his life and career that is too deep to sum up quickly. In addition, he also revealed that his next album will be a sequel to Championships, establishing more legacy within his career. Hopefully the 36-year-old is able to carry out his goals with or without this major distribution.

Meanwhile, it’s undeniable that it would certainly be a boost. We don’t know exactly what this is for, though; is it for his own projects or does he want stronger resources to uplift his own artists? Either way, both goals are attainable at the same time. For more news and the latest updates on Meek Mill, stay logged into HNHH.

Sexyy Red Says She Doesn’t Need To Diss Other Rappers Or Sign A Record Deal

Sexyy Red is having an absolutely massive breakout 2023 and she’s doing it without some of the tactics that can typically get new artists in the door. She recently sat down with Interview Magazine to discuss some of the things she’s doing differently than other artists. One of those is seeking out a major label deal. Despite collaborating with some of the biggest artists in rap, Red isn’t signed to a major label and she doesn’t want to be. “I’m not even looking for no deal, for real,” she says.

In a year where some other breakout stars like Ice Spice, Latto, and Coi Leray are beefing, Sexyy Red hasn’t picked many fights. That turned out to be on purpose. “[Diss tracks] be fun but I think they cause drama. Soon as you diss someone something happen to you. You know how it is.” Those aren’t the only common activities she’s passing up on either. She also claims that she doesn’t drink and when prompted for a reason she gave an answer only she could. “Liquor stink.” Check out the full interview below.

Sexyy Red Doesn’t Need Drinks, Beef, Or A Label

Over the weekend Sexyy Red released a collaboration she’s been teasing for weeks. She dropped a remix to her track “Hellcats SRTs” alongside Lil Durk. The pair had been playfully taking shots at each other on social media and deflecting blame for how long the song was taking onto each other for weeks leading up to its release.

Sexyy Red also managed another impressive feat last week. Billboard introduced a brand new chart specifically designed to track the biggest songs on TikTok. In the very first edition of the chart Red herself took up the very top spot with her viral hit “SkeeyYee.” She held off superstars like Taylor Swift and Doja Cat to claim the first-ever number-one hit on the TikTok Top 50. What do you think of some of Sexyy Red’s unique claims in her new interview? Let us know in the comment section below.

Ice Spice Speaks On Signing To A Major Label

Ice Spice recently sat down with Billboard for an interview, where she detailed the process of signing to a major label. Moreover, the “Princess Diana” hitmaker is currently signed in a partnership deal with 10K Projects and Capitol Records. Despite the usual connotations of a big label deal like that, the Bronx star actually knew her worth and fought for the best deal possible. After all, especially for rising and viral stars, they can get sucked into a deal that ultimately screws them over. However, as she recalled, the decision came after a long process of establishing her potential and scoping out her best possible path.

“I met with a bunch of labels and stuff like that,” Ice Spice began her breakdown of her signing process. “I just felt like 10K and Capitol was the good fit for me.” In addition to her own remarks, her manager James Rosemond Jr. elaborated on the process. “You don’t want to just take any deal, and deals came to her, you know?” he stated. “There was production deals, 360 deals, but it was deals that I know that it can be better.

Ice Spice Fought For Her Worth When Signing To A Major Label

“In order to get a better deal, you have to go out and do it yourself,” Rosemond Jr. continued. “And that comes with us putting money where our mouth is and we did that with ‘Munch.‘ We rolled it out independently ourselves. We leveraged the success and the hype around that, and we got the best deal, you know? Now she owns her masters, she owns her publishing, and not a lot of people can say that.” His words ring especially true in a time during which artists like Ice Spice are exploited for their meteoric rise.

“I’m still learning a lot, to be honest,” Ice Spice added. “Recording used to be very, very stressful for me. But now, I’m getting more comfortable with it. Like, over the past year, I would say I’ve been more comfortable. Learning to record while learning songwriting processes and everything was a lot, but I’m so happy I put in that time and that work, you know what I’m saying?” For more news and the latest updates on the Princess of rap, keep checking in with HNHH.

Brent Faiyaz Shuts Down Major Label Deals In Favour Of Staying Independent

It’s been quiet on Brent Faiyaz’s front since he delivered WASTELAND back in 2022. Thankfully, the R&B crooner came back to Instagram on Monday (May 1) with some major news, which he’s only been able to top in the time since. Not only does he have a collaboration with Marshmello dropping as his first single of the year on Friday (May 5), but he’s also heading out on tour later this summer and for most of the fall. The F*ck The World It’s A Wasteland tour will kick off on July 16th, followed by stops in North American cities like Chicago, Toronto, Miami, Houston, Oakland, and Los Angeles before he heads overseas to the United Kingdom for more fun.

While in Europe, Faiyaz is set to hit up Glasgow, London, Stockholm Copenhagen, Berlin, Milan, and Barcelona, among other beautiful cities before closing things out with a final concert in Paris on November 19th. Tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday at 10 AM PDT, while presale will take place on Thursday (May 4). While fans of the “ALL MINE” artist wait in the online queue to purchase their passes, they’ll at least be able to stream his upcoming “Fell In Love” single.

Brent Faiyaz Announces 2023 Tour Dates

Brent shared a teaser of the highly anticipated song earlier this week, along with a video that sees him seemingly putting the charm on a love interest. “You ain’t fall in love with me,” he sings. “You fell in love with the man I could be.” As always, the 27-year-old proved that he knows his demographic all too well and that plenty of women who have a habit of seeing potential, rather than what’s right in front of them, will certainly be un their feelings over this one.

Along with all of those announcements, it was also revealed by Variety that the Maryland native has turned down several major label record deals in favour of remaining independent. He’ll be partnering with UnitedMasters for the time being, who hope to “further amplify his creative vision and support his entrepreneurial ambitions” through their work together. Check out Brent Faiyaz and Marshmello’s “Fell In Love” single teaser below, and tap back in with HNHH this weekend to stream it along with our other new release recommendations.
