Coolio’s Estate Receives $173K Demand From Alleged Assault Victim

Coolio’s alleged victim of assault recently demanded that the late rapper‘s estate pay her $173K stemming from an unresolved lawsuit. Back in 2011, Randa Davis sued him for allegedly jumping on her back and riding her like a bull after a September 2009 concert in Detroit, which not only injured but humiliated her. According to that suit, the Compton-raised MC was very drunk and invited Davis and a friend to a VIP area after the show for some clubbing when the incident occurred. A few years passed, and he allegedly ignored the filing until she sought default judgement. However, when an attorney appeared on his behalf after he caught wind, the judge still aware Davis the money in question back in 2013.

Ten years later, that default payment is the center of her demand to Coolio’s estate. From what Radar Online reports indicate, Davis put forth a creditor’s claim for $173,069.28 and claimed that she is still owed this money from the verdict. In her initial lawsuit, she alleged to have experienced “pain, disability, mental anguish, medical expenses, wage loss, loss of future earning potential and other damages” as a result of the incident. Given that she originally wanted $1 million in damages, it’s unclear whether this new demand is full or partial payment.

However, this situation faces further complications when it comes to the beneficiaries of the “Fantastic Voyage” artist’s estate. Moreover, back in April, a judge sided with his manager’s motion to access these assets since Coolio passed away without a will in September of 2022. However, earlier reports indicated that the estate would likely split between his seven children. As such, perhaps there will be multiple sides trying to decide how to handle these demands, and the rest of what the hip-hop legend left behind.

Unfortunately, the rapper’s loss halted his plans to close out 2022 with big events. For one, he apparently came close to finalizing a deal for a 10-show residency in Las Vegas, specifically at the Westgate Resort & Casino. While these never came to fruition, he will live on through his family, projects in his honor, and the legacy and impact of his music. Perhaps his estate will also allow wrongs in his name to be rectified and finally laid to rest. For more updates and the latest news on Coolio, log back into HNHH.

Jonathan Majors: New Texts Allegedly Show Victim Admitting Fault

The arrest of Jonathan Majors for alleged assault against his girlfriend took the pop culture world by storm earlier this week. As many brought up past allegations of the actor’s behavior, and as he was released swiftly from prison, many debated as to what to believe and what these speculations could mean. However, most recently, Majors’ lawyer came forward with some text messages that apparently show the alleged victim admitting fault. Moreover, Priya Chaudhry told TMZ that the woman sent texts to Majors hours after his arrest in New York City.

The reported messages indicate that the victim was assured no charges would be pressed as a result of their fight and his subsequent arrest. Also, she said that it was her fault for trying to grab his phone, and that she recently left the hospital. In addition, she asked the actor to update her once he got out of police custody. In a separate message, she said that authorities reached out to her again and that she maintained she doesn’t want prosecution or assessment of this as an attack.

Jonathan Majors’ Alleged Victim Reportedly Takes Blame

Not only that, but from what the leaked texts indicate, she pushed back on various outlets claiming strangulation in the incident. Apparently a judge was assigned to the case, and the alleged victim is making sure they receive the right information. Said information is that the origin of the call that Majors got arrested for was that his girlfriend passed out and that he was worried as a partner. Specifically, she said that the “Creed III” star has a great legal team and shouldn’t worry, but that she’s doing all she can on her end to set the record straight in addition.

According to Chaudhry, Majors’ legal team is working hard to compile all sorts of evidence, like video and messages like these, to prove his innocence. These texts, for example, were turned over to law enforcement, she claimed. However, the 33-year-old was still charged with numerous counts of assault, attempted assault, aggravated harassment, and harassment in the second degree. Along with those charges, some pointed to other testimonies of people who knew Majors who also claimed concerning violent behavior. With all that said, this case should be taken with a grain of salt, as there is too much speculation and not enough court judgements or evidence to know what truly happened. Come back to HNHH for more updates on this story and the latest from Jonathan Majors.

Jonathan Majors Arrest: Alleged Assault Victim Is His Girlfriend, Law Enforcement Says

The recent arrest of Jonathan Majors shook the pop culture world, and law enforcement reportedly confirmed that his alleged victim is his girlfriend. Moreover, TMZ recently gave an update on this story where they claim that New York City police gave more details on the shocking incident. Furthermore, these reports suggest that the couple found themselves in a taxi when an argument started between the two. According to TMZ, the 33-year-old’s girlfriend saw that another woman texted his phone, and an altercation ensued. Not only that, but these reports allege that Majors got physical when his girlfriend tried to see these alleged text messages on his device.

Specifically, the report indicates that the Creed III star slapped his girlfriend when she tried to see the messages and then put his hands around her neck. In addition to these details, reports also surfaced that law enforcement responded to a call on Saturday morning (March 25) around the Chelsea area in Manhattan regarding this incident. Afterwards, they rushed Majors’ girlfriend to a nearby hospital after they noticed the visible injuries on her face and body.

Jonathan Majors Faced Arrest For Allegedly Assaulting Girlfriend

Also, they promptly brought the California native into custody and placed him in prison, as they thought there was enough evidence to prove probable cause. However, these fresh reports point to the Marvel actor already leaving jail and being free after his Saturday arrest. Not only that, but a representative for Majors denied any wrongdoing and expressed hope that they’ll clear up the situation.

“He’s done nothing wrong,” they remarked to TMZ. “We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up.” Given the actor’s meteoric rise to fame and acclaim, many fans expressed outrage, disappointment, shock, and disbelief on social media. Along with that, many also pointed to an alleged history of similar behavior. Still, given that it’s just social media reactions and this is just breaking, people are taking this with a grain of salt. With that being said, people will make their own research, reach their own conclusions, and wait for more information. On that last point, stick around on HNHH for the latest on Jonathan Majors.

R. Kelly Victim Gets Priority Access To His Royalty Fund

R. Kelly received an additional sentence for his crimes of sexual abuse and other horrible acts in February, and the court granted priority access to his royalty fund to a victim of his actions. Moreover, the Illinois Supreme Court ruled on Thursday (March 23) that Heather Williams will be the first person able to attain money from Kelly’s Sony Music royalty account. Furthermore, Billboard reported a value of $1.5 million for said fund in 2020. Not only that, but Williams got priority over Midwest Commercial Funding, a property manager that won a $3.5 million suit against the singer for unpaid rent for a Chicago studio.

Also in 2020, the victim in question successfully sued the R&B artist for $4 million in civil court, alleging that he lured her to his studio when she was 16. Instead of appearing in a music video as promised, he abused and had relations with her multiple times. In addition, said ruling from the state’s high court supports a lower jurisdiction’s view that Williams has priority because she properly filed a demand for the money before Midwest commercial. As such, the court ordered that she receive all the money in said fund and to keep receiving royalty payments until the judgment amount of $4 million is paid off.

Court Grants Victim Priority Access To R.Kelly’s Royalty Fund

Meanwhile, Kelly’s attorney Jennifer Bonjean intends to overturn the judgement, as she claims he had no knowledge of it. “I’ve never in my career seen such a flouting of the rules to deny him even the opportunity to defend these civil cases, even when the courts were fully aware that Kelly was incarcerated, unrepresented at points, and facing multiple criminal indictments,” she stated. “Indeed, much of these civil proceedings occurred without Kelly’s knowledge.”

However, it’s unclear whether Williams will take priority over monetary payments the singer owes to victims in federal convictions. Regardless, his team has a lot to handle and to process following his sentences. After years of court proceedings, now the tough question is whether his victims truly receive fair and proper compensation. For their experiences, such a concept is nonexistent, but hopefully they face little roadblocks on the way to justice. Regardless, stick around on HNHH for the latest big news and updates on R. Kelly.

GloRilla & Finesse2tymes Concert Victim’s Family Plans To Sue

The family of one of the victims of a crowd surge at a GloRilla and Finesse2tymes concert now plans to sue. Moreover, such reports come from TMZ, who spoke to the sister of Brandy Miller, one of the deceased. However, no such statements have been made as of writing this article from other families of those lost. Still, Michelle Miller told the publication that they intend to sue Glo, Finesse, event promoters, and Main Street Armory, the venue in question. In addition, Michelle said that Brandy’s brother was also at the concert and testified that it was chaotic from the jump.

Regardless, Miller was one of three victims of the deadly concert stampede that took place in Rochester. In the aftermath, Michelle expressed that her family is in the process of finding the right attorney to move forward with their case. According to her testimony, they spoke to several lawyers after Brandy was pronounced dead on Monday. Not only that, but they seek someone quite high-profile, as they have “no plans to back down.” Perhaps this legal action will take shape quite quickly considering the tragedy and scale of the incident, and the fact they believe it was easily avoidable.

GloRilla & Finesse2tymes Concert Stampede: Victim’s Family Aims To Sue

Since the concert took place, both Memphis artists expressed heartbreak and devastation about the incident. “I’m just now hearing about what happened wtf,” GloRilla tweeted. “Praying everybody is ok,” and she continued in another tweet the day after. “I am devastated & heartbroken over the tragic deaths that happened after Sunday’s show. My fans mean the world to me. Praying for their families & for a speedy recovery of everyone affected.” On the other hand, Finesse initially caught heat for not acknowledging the deaths of innocent people and instead focusing on people trying to bring him down.

However, he since clarified his stance in a TMZ conversation. “Sometimes when you winning and you done won so fast… so I’m frowned upon,” he said. “But as far as the situation in New York, condolences to the family and the people who was injured. That’s what I wanted to say. I think it was a situation where someone fell, and people started running. Things got out of control and innocent people got hurt.” However, he said that he wasn’t worried about potential lawsuits or being blamed for the incident. Come back to HNHH for the latest updates on this developing story.

GloRilla Concert Stampede Victim Rhondesia Belton Remembered By Loved Ones

Rhondesia Belton, referred to by her loved ones as Desia, was remembered by those close to her after she passed due to a concert stampede at a recent GloRilla concert. Moreover, the rapper shared the bill with Finesse2Tymes at a Rochester, New York show of over 4,000 attendees. After false reports of a shooting scattered concertgoers leaving the venue, nine were injured, with two hospitalized in critical condition. Belton, a 33-year-old mother, tragically passed away after authorities took her to a medical facility. As such, many expressed their grief on social media.

For example, Marie Verse made a dedication post on Facebook. She seems to be a parent who took their child to the same daycare as Belton. “You were one of the most dedicated loving moms that I know,” she wrote. “Your son was your world. You don’t even like to go outside because you like to be home with your son. So this breaks my heart so bad that you took time out for yourself just to enjoy life a little bit.” In addition, friend Kandra Barrett thanked Belton for supporting her business and sticking by her sister.

GloRilla Concert Crowd Surge Victim Lives On

Meanwhile, Danielle Gallon knew Belton since she was nine years old and expressed her heartbreak, as did friend Zontail Lamar. While her loss is devastating, her close ones are keeping her memory alive, something more important than any live show. During a news briefing on Monday (March 6), Police Chief David M. Smith confirmed that the stampede was due to a fear of gunshots. “We do not have any evidence of gunshots being fired or of anyone being shot or stabbed at the scene,” he stated.

“This is a tragedy of epic proportions,” expressed Rochester Mayor Malik Evans at a press conference. “It’s something that all of us who love concerts worry about. When you go to a concert you do not expect to be trampled. Your loved ones expect you to be able to come home and talk about the experience you had at that great concert.” After she heard of the incident, the Memphis rapper took to Twitter to voice concern. “I’m just now hearing about what happened wtf, praying everybody is ok.” If you want to join Rhondesia Belton’s loved ones in honoring her, check the link below to see some of their tributes.

Travis Scott’s Alleged Victim Says Rapper Flipped Him Off Before Punching Him

Travis Scott went into a fit of rage this week following a DJ set in New York City. This week, the rapper got into hot water after an alleged assault on a sound engineer in NYC. According to reports, the rapper unleashed on a man outside of Nebula in New York City and struck the individual in the face. The alleged victim filed a police report but authorities stated that he had no visible injuries. Scott also faces accusations of damaging $12K worth of equipment following the assault on the sound engineer.

Scott has yet to respond to the allegations, though he’s a wanted man in New York City. NYPD said they’re looking for the “SICKO MODE” rapper as a suspect of assault, though there have been conflicting reports surrounding the severity of the incident. Dorian Harrington, who booked Don Toliver’s concert where Scott appeared, told PEOPLE that the reports don’t reflect what he witnessed. “This is a total misunderstanding, and what I saw on stage doesn’t reflect what I read in the news. The music and the night turned out great and everyone left peacefully,” Harrington said.

Travis Scott’s Alleged Victim Speaks Out

Fox5 News caught up with the alleged victim, who was identified as Mark, from a hospital bed. “My neck is f**ked up. My arm is tingling. I have pins and needles going down it,” he said. He explained that things started to go left during Scott’s DJ set, which he described as being too loud and distorted. “[Travis Scott] stuck his middle finger in my face,” Mark recalled. “So I lowered the monitor a little bit so I could talk to him, and that’s when he ran around the speaker and attacked me.”

Scott reportedly went on a rampage afterward where he destroyed $12K worth of equipment, including speakers and a visual screen. However, the rapper’s attorney, Mitchell Schuster, said the whole situation is “a misunderstanding being blown out of proportion by clickbait and misinformation.” He added that he believes Scott will be “cleared of any wrongdoing” following a full investigation. Check out Mark’s interview above.

Woman Shot When Takeoff Died Speaks Out For The First Time

A 24-year-old woman victim of the shooting that killed Takeoff’s murder spoke out for the first time in an interview with KHOU 11.

Sydney Leday was a second victim who sustained injuries during the tragic Houston evening that left Takeoff dead. Leday explained that she just celebrated her birthday and had a night out with her friends to celebrate the occasion, as well as Halloween.

She explained that she previously lived in Los Angeles so she wasn’t starstruck by the presence of Quavo and Takeoff. Leday said that they went to the bowling alley around 12 a.m. She described things as relatively normal until around 2 a.m. when the event was about to shut down.

“That’s when I knew something was wrong after the fact,” she said. “Because I thought these people that were arguing was just playing, like I said, the energy that was in the room before everybody around the table playing a game of dice. I just thought it was friendly banter.”

However, she suspected that there was something wrong due to Quavo’s attitude at the time.

“So I noticed something was wrong whenever I noticed [Quavo] was really upset and he was finna leave,” she said. “The party wasn’t going to keep going on.”

She explained that she tried to run when shots rang out, though she wasn’t able to get far. Leday explained that she fell and felt a stinging in the back of her head but managed to get down an escalator and into a car. From there, her friend drove her to the Memorial Hermann Hospital, which was 12 minutes away.

We’ll keep you posted on anymore developments in the case.
