King Von Mural In O-Block Vandalized Just Days After Lil Durk Arrest

The Lil Durk arrest has caused a lot of controversy among fans of drill rap, whether for musical, personal, or legal reasons. A lot of folks who were always critical of the genre’s subject matter and public scandals are now bolstered by the allegations of murder-for-hire conspiracy to double down on their distaste. Sadly, this aversion – whether for these deep reasons or just fooling around – can lead to disrespect. For example, a mural of Durk’s late colleague King Von was vandalized in the O-Block neighborhood of Chicago just days after Smurk’s arrest.

At press time, we don’t know the context of the displayed message, who vandalized the mural, or why. But as you can see in the comments section under the Instagram post below, there are a lot of divided reactions to this. Some think that folks never would have done this if Lil Durk wasn’t in custody, while others believe someone with the allegations that King Von has should never have a mural to begin with. While there’s nothing connecting this to The Voice’s arrest, fans can’t help but link the two and speculate on how this reflects possible reactions to the federal case.

For those unaware, U.S. Marshals arrested Lil Durk last week on charges of alleged murder-for-hire conspiracy. In fact, federal authorities’ accusations regarding this alleged crime possibly and partially relate to King Von. The Windy City rapper allegedly ordered a hit on Quando Rondo in retaliation for Von’s murder. Furthermore, the allegations include claims that he paid for five alleged members of his OTF collective’s travel to California in 2022 to carry out the alleged hit. A shooting in Los Angeles in Rondo’s vicinity took the life of his cousin Lul Pab. Officials arrested these five alleged OTF members in Chicago, and Durk’s arrest in Florida followed.

Elsewhere, this mural vandalization isn’t the only recent connection that fans made between King Von and Lil Durk. Fans also called attention to the latter’s lyrics seemingly referencing the late rapper on his feature on G Herbo’s new album Big Swerv 2.0, specifically on the track “In The Air.” Amid many rumors and discussions, it’s important to note that these are just allegations at the end of the day, and that a lot of these conversations are purely based on speculative fan theories and interpretations. While all of this is very controversial and heavy, folks don’t have to resort to vandalism and disrespect of the dead to make their voices heard.

Fredo Bang Laments Friend’s Vandalized Gravesite, Calls Out Perpetrators

Fredo Bang took to Instagram this weekend to call out folks who vandalized his friend Garrett J. Burton’s gravesite and left it broken and in ruin. “I want one of you tuff a** n***as to claim this,” he wrote on his Story with a picture of the damage done. It’s quite the disrespectful, cruel, and karma-inducing move, and one that is always horrible to see amid feuds and rivalries in any sense. The Yes, I’m Sad MC has already gone through a lot when it comes to losing loved ones, and so this must feel like an extra gut punch no matter the passage of time.

Still, you are probably more familiar with some of Fredo Bang’s more lewd or gossip-related admissions and social media moves. For example, a rumor recently went viral that he paid Jada Kingdom and Asian Doll a whopping $35K for sexual relations. The Baton Rouge rapper denied this outright, although he is known on social media to be a big supporter of sex workers via OnlyFans. This is something he’s not shy about at all, despite how many fans either clown this behavior or use it to define his image.

Fredo Bang Calls Out Vandals Of Friend’s Gravesite

Elsewhere, though, Fredo Bang also has plenty of bonds and rumors to address within the rap game, particularly his former collaborators. During a recent interview with VladTV, he told DJ Vlad that he thinks his beef with NBA YoungBoy damaged his relationship with Rod Wave, who is now one of YB’s closest collaborators and industry peers. The 27-year-old clarified that he doesn’t like to make people pick sides, or pick them himself if he isn’t personally involved. But this does mark an opportunity for the three to let things be water under the bridge.

Meanwhile, he will keep crushing on his muses in the rap game like Coi Leray, no matter what her dad Benzino says. Elsewhere, Fredo will also keep supporting the family of his fallen friends, too, and defending their memory. Hopefully no other disrespectful acts like this affect other rappers in 2024, as it’s a trend that needs stamping out. For more news and the latest updates on Fredo Bang, stay logged into HNHH.

Latto Fans Vandalize Ice Spice’s Promo Billboard In Atlanta

Latto and Ice Spice are currently locked in a cold war that, even if it wasn’t true to begin with, they are definitely leaning into. However, we have to admit that while these two femcees are doing a great job of being competitive and calculated with their responses and subliminal jabs, their fanbases are also carrying a lot of weight in this battle. For example, apparently some 777 fans vandalized one of Spice’s billboard trucks in their fav’s home city of Atlanta, which promoted her new single “Think U The S**t (Fart).” They crossed out the emojis, wrote “777” next to them, and also wrote “Stream Sunday Service” below them.

Furthermore this follows an instance of Latto denying that something was a shot at Ice Spice… while also taking a shot at Ice Spice. She recently tweeted “Didn’t hit tho,” which many interpreted as a dig at her Bronx rival’s decision to put those trucks in Atlanta. Later, the 25-year-old wrote on the social media platform, “This was about that old pic going viral not that lil girl thanks,” and then deleted it off Twitter. Both fanbases were quick to respond and take more shots at each other, and now all that’s left is for them to directly call each other out.

Latto Fans Ruin Ice Spice’s Promo In Atlanta

Another hometown debate surrounds the rollouts for these singles that they’re fighting over. While Ice Spice filmed her “Think U The S**t (Fart)” video in Miami, Latto actually went to her opponent’s home city of the Bronx for the visuals for “Sunday Service.” Many thought that this was a downright dangerous decision for her, let alone a strong move against the 24-year-old. But they’ve kept things competitive solely on the rapping and artistic ends, which means there’s no real reason for escalation.

Meanwhile, other fans of the “Bikini Bottom” hitmaker are taking sides and making their own moves to defend her. One of them is fellow New Yorker Funk Flex, who said he might not play “Sunday Service” out of solidarity with Ice Spice. Let’s see if she has any other moves up her sleeve. For more news on the Bronx MC and the latest updates on Latto, stick around on HNHH.

Blueface’s Restaurant Vandalized, Windows Broken

Someone apparently vandalized Blueface’s restaurant, breaking windows and leaving a pretty ugly scene. Hopefully the incident didn’t result in anyone hurt, but the California rapper now has bigger fish to fry than his social media antics. Moreover, multiple videos circulated around social media, mostly of passerby filming the scene as they drive past. While no details surrounding the potential break-in surfaced, witnessing a dining destination in those conditions never bodes well. Furthermore, we’ll see if Blueface responds to these developments or sheds some light on what happened.

One particular video circling around social media shows a couple’s reaction to driving by the vandalized location. As they pull up to the front of the restaurant, you can see various broken windows, busted-up signs, and strewn glass. “That’s crazy,” the boyfriend remarks, who’s driving the car past the locale. “Yeah, someone definitely broke into that s**t. They were like, ‘F**k your music!” laughing as they drove away. “Babe, no,” his concerned (presumed) girlfriend replied as she continued filming. Still, Blueface hasn’t posted anything about the crime as of yet. Also, no footage of the inside of the restaurant appeared on social media as of writing this article.

Blueface’s Other Antics

Of course, the “Thotiana” rapper has plenty more on his mind apart from his culinary business career. Most recently, he went at Lil Baby after he allegedly DM’d his girlfriend Chrisean Rock and said she had “potential.” Upon hearing about this, the California rapper took to Twitter to express his frustrations. “Met my b***h one time talm ’bout he ‘big brother,’” he wrote. “You ain’t no son to me, the truth could never be a diss. You in her DMs I’m in this b***h [phone]. I run this s**t on sy. Be mad if you want to b***h, post my messages. I’m bleeding anything, come thru my territory without checking in. Welcome to Death Row.” However, things apparently smoothed out since then.

Meanwhile, he founded Blue’s Fish & Soul in June of 2021. “I am happy to let y’all know that I am the new proud owner of SVC Fish Market in the Santa Clarita Valley,” he said upon its opening. “It’s the only place where you can come and get some soul food in this whole entire valley.” Hopefully the restaurant continues to find success and bounces back from this attack. Regardless of what you think, check out the videos of the incident below and stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and antics from Blueface.

Pop Smoke’s Mural Reportedly Vandalized

It’s been nearly three years now since Pop Smoke’s tragic murder from a fatal home invasion gone wrong. He was only 20 years old. Unfortunately, a mural put up in his memory was allegedly vandalized yesterday.

DJ Akademiks took to his Instagram to report the news. “Someone vandalized Pop Smoke’s mural in Brooklyn,” reads the caption from the streamer. “Word to my dead[,] yall n*ccas are mad childish like wtf,” says a screenshot of a Snapchat of the damage. Based on the photo, it appears as though somebody is responsible for writing “Woo K” over top of the mural.

The mural was finished shortly after his passing, in July of 2020. It honors the late rapper’s legacy in Canarsie, Brooklyn, where Pop grew up. According to Complex, Hattas Public Murals is responsible for undertaking and painting the tribute.

“Our hearts go out to the family, friends and fans of the late and beloved Pop Smoke. Much love to you all. And thank you to the community of #Canarsie for your overwhelming support as we painted this memorial mural,” the company wrote in an Instagram afterwards.

Four men have since been charged in Pop Smoke’s murder. They broke into the rented home while intending to rob the rapper of his jewelry. They took his watch during the invasion and subsequently sold it for $2,000. The alleged shooter is only 15 years old.

Ever since the “Dior” rapper’s untimely death, his estate has released two posthumous albums. The first of which is Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon. Releasing just five months after his passing, the project serves as a celebration of life and honors his legacy through songs like “Make It Rain” and “Got It On Me.”

The second one, Faith, saw a release in July of 2021. However, it isn’t as successful as its predecessor in continuing the Brooklyn native’s legacy. Fans and publications alike critique the album for containing too much filler content. Additionally, a common sentiment is that it has too many songs that are seemingly unfinished.

Long Live Pop Smoke. It’s certainly heartbreaking to see someone do this to a mural meant to honor him and his music.
