Tory Lanez is obviously in the midst of serving his 10-year prison sentence after the Megan Thee Stallion debacle. However, he is as eager as ever to push out new material. Just moments ago, we found out that the Canadian rapper and singer sent out a tweet expressing this urge to get more music to his fans. The message simply read, “I Think .. Ashton’s Back #AloneAtPromDeluxe :)” At the time we did not have anything else to go off of. However, that all changed not too long after. Not even an hour ago, Tory posted a clip from a music video and another revealing note on his Instagram.

The visuals were for the music video for the Alone At Prom smash hit, “The Color Violet.” It currently sits at nearly 550 million streams on Spotify. It is a late-night cruising anthem that was a part of the 80s transformation that we saw seem to dip into on the record. Clearly, it is still resonating with listeners that Tory decided to put out a video for it nearly two years later.

Benny The Butcher Reveals Significance Of New Album’s Title, “Everybody Can’t Go”

Benny The Butcher’s upcoming album Everybody Can’t Go unfortunately faced a delay until early 2024, but that doesn’t mean it’ll be any less exciting or impressive. Moreover, he recently remarked what the project’s title means to him, and what he meant for it to represent. The Black Soprano Family boss expressed these thoughts to Elliott Wilson and company on the Rap Radar podcast, where they also discussed how rappers deserve more respect than they get these days. In order to prove that feat, he wants to do so through the best way he can: the strength, power, and displays of skill and talent through the music.

“Everybody can’t go because they not cut like that,” Benny The Butcher began his breakdown. “They not made like that. And you can’t dance to every song, you know what I’m saying? Everything is not for everybody. With new levels come new devils, and I want more. I want bigger for myself. When you make that first cut, when you clearly see, ‘These people are not for me, they don’t need to be here.’ So the people who made that, who got past that cut, they think they’re safe. And what I mean by level up, you know, is my way of thinking. And of course, my way of making music.”

Elsewhere during their conversation, the Buffalo native also thanked J. Cole for recognizing the responsibility that comes with his status as a leader in the game, whereas others in Cole’s position are “not worried about pushing the culture forward.” “A lot of things that he do that he don’t have to do,” Benny The Butcher stated. “I know we can say that about a lot of people but it seems to me like he take interest in things like that, and that’s the difference. He realizes his responsibility of him being the top guy. And make no mistake, he’s the top guy. Cole is the top f***ing guy in this s**t right now, you know what I’m saying? And for him to understand there’s a responsibility just says a lot about him, ’cause a lot of these dudes don’t, man.”

Offset Promises New Album In February Of Next Year, Might Collab With Eldest Son

It seems like Offset’s new album SET IT OFF really inspired him to put in work in the studio, because that album’s cycle in media coverage and playlist rotation isn’t even over and he’s already planning two steps ahead. Moreover, TMZ Hip Hop recently caught up with him in Beverly Hills and said that he will release another album in February of next year. While this is very exciting news for fans, apparently this might be a family project of sorts for the Georgia rapper, too. In addition to this, he also said that his eldest son Jordan’s been working hard on his beats, and might be getting a credit on this next project.

“I would, I definitely would,” Offset replied when asked whether he’d ever put his children on an album or song. I got something coming out with my son, anyway. Not a song, though, but you’ll see it. You’ll see, it comes out Friday. Next album dropping February. Exclusive, I just told y’all that.” Apparently, the outlet also determined that he referred to his oldest son Jordan’s production and explained that the project for Friday didn’t end up panning out due to some tweaks, but these statements don’t show up in the clip below.

Furthermore, this is promising for Offset, whose latest October album performed very well and garnered acclaim. Soon, we are going to missing one of the true pioneers of the hip-hop genre. While he might not have the global impact of Tupac, Eminem, or Jay-Z, T.I. is one of the leaders of the trap subgenre. We are in this somber mood because he recently went on the We In Miami podcast announcing his retirement from rap. Multiple reports, including AllHipHop, broke the news on October 18.

T.I. said, “It’s time to evolve beyond a career as a rapper. There are a lot more people who are carrying the torch and pushing the culture forward.” He is also moving on because he wants to pursue other avenues, especially in the business world. We said it once and we will say it again. If this is true, we wish T.I. the best in the future when it is all set and done.

Apollo Brown And Joell Ortiz Are All “About It,” New Album Also On The Way

Detroit and Brooklyn’s underground legends are joining forces once again. Apollo Brown and Joell Ortiz are very familiar with each other, making for a flawless return with a brand-new cut. This time, it looks to be appearing on a forthcoming LP. The last point at which we heard something from the East Coast duo came back on November 19, 2021. Both we on the track “Bobby Bonilla.” That was on Apollo and Stalley’s collaborative tape, Blacklight. However, that is just the tip of the iceberg for these two. Joell and Brown have a full LP from 2018 called Mona Lisa.

It was a cutthroat 11-song record released back on October 26, almost five years ago to the day. It was a tight 36-minute listen with just two features from Royce da 5’9″ and DJ Los. The latter landed on “Grace of God” and Royce was a part of Timberlan’d Up.” Now, it looks like Joell and Brown are ready to revive their work with an update to this project very soon.

Key Glock Proves There Is Only “One Me”

Memphis, Tennessee rapper Key Glock is one of the most prolific rappers in the game. It seems like every other day the man has a new track for us to talk about. Bas Drops Reflective Track “Khartoum” With Adekunle Gold

Paris-born and New York-raised rapper and singer Bas has not come out with a new album since 2018. However, that time appears to be coming to a close fairly soon. If you check out his Genius page, his forthcoming record looks to be due by December 31 of this year. The title of the project is also interesting.

It is a fitting title as most people do not care or are unaware of the hardships and other catastrophes taking place every day. Bas has already given us three singles from this tape, including the summery track “Passport Bros” with Dreamville labelmate, J. Cole. This new one though refers to the civil war going on in Sudan and its capital, “Khartoum.”

Calboy Teases New Album With “Chains Off (Freestyle)

Chicago rapper Calboy has had a rough couple of months due to legal issues with police. He has also called out plenty of his contemporaries, especially DaBaby. Overall, he is not the most well-liked person in the industry, but he is looking for a fresh start. One way he is doing this is by forging his own path in the form of creating his own record label. He was recently a signee of RCA records. However, that is no more. Rumblings around this situation began around the first quarter of 2022 and it seems that Calboy has moved on.

Flaunt recently wrote a piece on Calboy and it centered around the release of his upcoming album. It will be called Unchained. However, there is no information on the release date. What we do know is that it will be 12 tracks and some of the themes and topics that will be covered. In the interview, Calboy says that it will focus on his public and private battles. Those will include artistic freedom, lingering grief, or industry feuds.
