Tyrese Says Judge Involved With Arrest Over Child Support Debacle “Hates My Guts”

On Monday, September 9, actor and singer Tyrese was arrested for being “in willful contempt for failure to make child support payments”. The judge, as well as his ex-wife, Samantha Lee, were commanding exactly $10,690 and “illegally” so in his eyes. The money is supposed to being going to their five-year-old daughter Soraya. Tyrese has repeated time and time again that he wants to be a father to his kids; however, he feels this entire battle in court has been one-sided. According to Bossip, he feels that a lot of this falls on the judge that was overseeing this case.

Tyrese went after Kevin M Farmer in his Instagram post two days ago just moments before his Atlanta court appearance Monday morning. Now, he’s continuing to call out Mr. Farmer after the arrest on X. “Getting arrested wasn’t fun as a matter of fact it was very traumatic…. One would ask why does this judge Kevin M Farmer HATE me so much? Well attached is his nightmare details of the APPEAL!”. In the tweet below there’s a link to the pdf file of the appellants 20-page reply brief if you care to check it out.

Tyrese Gets Emotional While Ranting About Judge

Tyrese may have just been accusing the judge of something that may or may not be true, but Mr. Farmer may have been making his case for him. In addition to the arrest, Tyrese was ordered to pay a healthy figure to be released from jail. $73,500 was ordered to be paid to the Fulton County officials. However, his attorney, Tanya Mitchell Graham, filed an appeal of Mr. Farmer’s ruling. He is currently not in custody as of Monday.

What are your thoughts on Tyrese claiming that the judge involved with the child support battle was against him? Do you think all of this was handled poorly from a legal standpoint? Tyrese Says R. Kelly is the King of R&B: ‘Who Else But Him?’

R. Kelly Sexual Abuse Accuser Reportedly Wins Civil Lawsuit

Tyrese has been making headlines over the past few weeks. And here’s another: he believes R. Kelly is the King of R&B, not Usher or Chris Brown.

Speaking with The Shade Room, Tyrese revealed it has to be R.Kelly. “Who else but him? We not talking about him being in jail or what he’s dealing with controversy-wise.”

But on the other two names, “They are KINGS. Chris Brown and Usher are 50x bigger than me. I’m not a King of no type of R&B. I’m a beast at what I do, but they have outsold me and have way more status, Grammys, arenas, and the level of arena shows they do is beyond the scope of anything I’ve ever done. And I, quite frnakly, don’t desire that level.”

Tyrese Arrested for Unpaid Child Support

Tyrese Arrested for Unpaid Child Support

An Atlanta judge showed just how serious he was about child support on Monday when he ordered Tyrese into custody for failure to pay child support.

The artist (real name Tyrese Gibson) was arrested for failing to pay court-ordered child support to his ex-wife, Samantha Lee, with whom he shares a 5 year old daughter. The judge, Kevin Farmer, had ordered Gibson to pay $10,000 per month starting in April 2023, but Gibson had been paying only $2,200 monthly.

During a court hearing in Fulton County, Georgia, the judge expressed frustration with Gibson’s continued refusal to meet the payment requirement. As a result, Gibson was held in contempt of court, handcuffed, and taken into custody. However, the judge offered him a way to avoid jail by paying $73,000, which includes $7,500 for Lee’s attorney fees.

It appears that Tyrese saw his arrest coming, appearing Sunday on Instagram to say that he’s never done anything illegal and claiming that both of his exes are in the wrong and that he is innocent, asking his women followers who have been in similar situations to side with him. He also encouraged his followers to buy tickets to his upcoming shows as a way to “support real R&B.”

Despite his morning arrest, sources report that Gibson plans to come up with the $73,000 and be released by the end of the day.

This is not Gibson’s first dust up with the judge. In a 2023 hearing, Gibson pushed back on the judge after the judge read from his tax return that he [Gibson] had made $2.2 million in 2018 despite claiming that his finances were “in shambles.” After Gibson protested, the judge ordered him to be held in contempt before issuing the child support order.

Tyrese Arrested After Refusing To “Illegally” Pay $10,000 In Child Support

In an update from The Neighborhood Talk, singer and actor Tyrese has officially been arrested. This very recent news comes just hours after the Los Angeles, California native revealed in a now deleted IG post that this was a real possibility. It stems from the still ongoing divorce with ex-wife Samantha Lee, but more specifically the financial/child support side of things. Since August of 2022, Ms. Lee has been trying to get $10,000 a month from him to help aid their five-year-old child they have together. Initially, it was around $20,000.

Still, though, Tyrese has been fighting against it for a while now and continued to do so today at his court hearing in Atlanta at 9 a.m. In his long, confusing, and aforementioned post to social media he even labeled it illegal. In addition to this, he claimed that Samantha’s two lawyers on the case are close friends with the Judge. Overall, he feels this whole situation is essentially unjust.

Roland Martin Fact-Checks Tyrese’s Claims About Biden Administration’s Hate Crime Bill

Screen Shot 2024 09 03 at 10.11.53 AM

Actor and singer Tyrese Gibson recently stirred up controversy by accusing the Biden Administration of neglecting Black and Latino communities in its legislative efforts to address hate crimes. In a video that quickly went viral, Tyrese criticized President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for signing what he claimed was a hate crime bill that exclusively protects Asian Americans while overlooking the needs of Black and Latino Americans.

In the video, Tyrese expressed his frustration, saying, “Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, y’all signed a hate crime bill to protect Asians, but what about Black and Latino people who are being killed?” His comments sparked a heated discussion on social media, with many echoing his sentiments.

However, journalist and political commentator Roland Martin was quick to fact-check Tyrese’s claims, calling them misleading and inaccurate. Martin took to Twitter to set the record straight, explaining that Tyrese’s assertion that the Biden Administration signed a hate crime bill only for Asian Americans was “a lie.”

Martin clarified that, contrary to Tyrese’s claims, there have actually been three hate crime bills specifically aimed at protecting African Americans. He cited these legislative efforts to highlight the Biden Administration’s commitment to addressing hate crimes across different communities, not just one.

“Tyrese’s statement is simply not true,” Martin tweeted. “There have been THREE hate crime bills passed specifically for African Americans. It’s important to have the facts straight when discussing such critical issues.”

The misinformation spread by Tyrese reflects a broader concern about how public figures can influence public opinion, especially when their statements are not based on verified facts. While Tyrese’s frustration with systemic racism and the ongoing violence against Black and Latino communities is understandable, Martin emphasized the importance of ensuring that discussions around these issues are grounded in truth.

Thoughts?

Tyrese Predicts His ‘Club Shay Shay’ Interview Will Match Katt Williams’ Viral Numbers

Screen Shot 2024 08 29 at 8.28.41 AM

Earlier this year, comedian Katt Williams broke the Internet with a raw and revealing interview on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, racking up over 70 million views and becoming a standout moment for the show. Fast forward to this week, and Club Shay Shay is back in the spotlight with another major guest—Tyrese Gibson. The singer, actor, and author boldly predicted that his interview would achieve the same viral success as Katt Williams’.

Announcing the interview on Twitter, Shannon Sharpe revealed that Tyrese would be the next guest on the popular podcast. Tyrese quickly made headlines with his confidence, stating that his appearance would “do Katt Williams numbers.” This bold claim generated buzz among fans eager to see if the Fast & Furious star could deliver.

And deliver he did. Overnight, Tyrese’s interview on Club Shay Shay skyrocketed, amassing an impressive 1 million views within hours of its release. While that’s still a way off from Katt Williams’ record-breaking numbers, it’s a strong start that highlights the drawing power of Tyrese’s candidness and Sharpe’s ability to facilitate compelling conversations.

Tyrese’s appearance on the show covered a wide range of topics, from his music and acting career to his personal life and philosophies, capturing the attention of a diverse audience.

As of now, Katt Williams’ interview remains one of the most-watched episodes on Club Shay Shay, with over 70 million views since it first aired seven months ago. However, Tyrese’s prediction shows his confidence in connecting with audiences, and it looks like his fans are ready to help him reach those numbers.

Tyrese Hints That His Upcoming Interview With Shannon Sharpe Could Do “Katt Williams Numbers”

Tyrese is a pretty interesting character. That can be attributed to the Californian actor and singer’s video clips, quotes, troubling relationships, and antics. Overall, all of these factors have made him quite the controversial pop culture figure in the eyes of a lot of people online. However, in that same breath, its lead him to receiving lots of interview requests, which have to be paying him pretty handsomely. Shannon Sharpe clearly sees what’s going on with Tyrese as of late, and its why we are getting a Club Shay Shay interview very soon.

In fact, the episode is currently in the middle of its premiere at the time of writing. Sharpe teased the interview on the Club Shay Shay Instagram account late last night, saying that they will be discussing their “internet-breaking videos”. In a short video clip, he believes that if the Club Shay Shay producers air their entire episode, then it could do “Katt Williams” numbers. At the time of writing, Katt’s viral and unhinged sit-down has over 73.5 million views and its one of the most-watched interviews on the platform. So, it will be a tall task if that was the goal for Tyrese, and fans seem to think he’s doing too much. “I don’t know if it’s Tyrese or his ego, but one of them is draining😩”, one user expresses. “He should’ve just let the interview speak for itself 🤦🏾‍♂️ Now the expectation will be too high and it won’t do as well 🤷🏾‍♂️”, another predicts. There should still be plenty to dissect, so be sure to stick around for more updates on this interview.

Cash Cobain Wonders How A Lover Is Gonna ‘Act Like’ That On His Standout Single From ‘Play Cash Cobain’

Cash Cobain has risen to stardom on the wave of his pioneering production style of pairing sexy samples with compelling drill rhythms. His newly released debut album, Play Cash Cobain, is laden with the sound, and one of the best examples is his standout focus track, “Act Like.” As its title suggests, it’s an inquisitive plea to a lover, based on a sample of R&B star Tyrese Gibson’s 2002 hit “How You Gonna Act Like That.”

“How You Gonna Act Like That” was a smash in its own right, peaking at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, powered by production from The Underdogs, which consisted of Damon Thomas and Harvey Mason Jr., the latter of whom is now better known as the CEO of the Recording Academy.

Cash Cobain’s rollout for the album has been about as slick as his sampling technique, consisting of the runaway success of his breakout single “Fisherrr” with Bay Swag and its Ice Spice-featuring remix, as well as a remix of Laila!’s standout TikTok favorite single “Not My Problem” featuring seemingly every rising rapper from New York alongside a bunch of blog rap faves. Cobain is currently supporting Ice Spice on her Y2K! tour, and likely enjoying the success of his debut album.

You can listen to Cash Cobain’s new single “Act Like” below, and watch the video above Friday at 9 am PT/12 pm ET.

This movie is about an LA moment. Ariel made an outstanding film that depicts this moment in time. So it’s a special thrill that he has come on board to executive produce 1992. He clearly has found a personal connection to the material, which makes his team at Death Row Pictures the perfect partners.”

Starring Tyrese Gibson, Clé Bennett, Dylan Arnold, Christopher A’mmanuel, Michael Beasley, Ori Pfeffer, Tosin Morohunfola, Oleg Taktarov, with Scott Eastwood, and Ray Liotta in one of his final film roles, 1992 is directed by Ariel Vromen from a screenplay by Sascha Penn and Ariel Vromen and a story by Sascha Penn. As tensions rise in Los Angeles and chaos erupts, both families reach their boiling points when they collide in this tense crime-thriller.
