Juvenile Agrees To Do Tiny Desk Performance After Twitter Exchange

It looks like Juvenile will be doing a Tiny Desk concert and Twitter users are the reason why. The news comes on the heels of Trina’s Tiny Desk performance last week. The “Here We Go” rapper put on a memorable show. Additionally, her performance included a tribute to her late mother. Apparently, the Miami rapper’s performance got some fans thinking if other stars from the era would also make an appearance.

Subsequently, a humorous exchange took place between Twitter users and Juvenile. The back and forth started with a simple request from one fan. “Can we please get a Juvenile Tiny Desk?” the fan asked. Additionally, the fan tagged Juvenile as as well as NPR music. However, the “Slow Motion” rapper appeared to be dumbfounded by the request. “WTF is a Tiny Desk and no,” he responded. The humorous tweet quickly went viral.

Juvenile x NPR

As the tweet blew up, the rapper appeared to have a change of heart. As a result, Juvie went on to say he was open to the idea based on one very specific stipulation. “All Things Considered, 10k retweets, and I will reconsider doing @NPR Tiny Desk while drinking an ice cold #JuvieJuice from@UrbanSouthBeer!!!” he said. Ever the businessman, the New Orleans native took the time to plug his hard iced tea brand Juvie Juice in the tweet. Subsequently. the tweet did garner the promised 10k likes. Juvenile went on to prove he is a man of his word by confirming he will be doing a concert after all.

Meanwhile, the rapper didn’t share any details on when the performance may take place. However, it is likely that he will pull out all the stops. The attention the tweet storm garnered means he will have to kill it when the performance does happen. Moreover, there is obviously still an audience for Juvenile’s music. Elsewhere, Juvenile is still making new music. The rapper teamed up late last year with fellow Cash Money legend Birdman. The pair made a single titled “Ali” that pays homage to boxing legend Muhammad Ali. It’s clear that even more than two decades into his career, there is still a place for Juvenile in hip-hop.

Twitter loses it at Thunder-Pelicans Play-In Matchup

The 2023 NBA Play-In tournament has already been wild. The Raptors missed 18 free throws in a loss to the Bulls. Meanwhile, the Lakers needed overtime to secure playoff basketball. Elsewhere, the Heat couldn’t keep pace with the Hawks. The amount of shocks, antics, and upsets are already off the charts. If the playoffs are anything like the Play-Ins, NBA fans can expect two months of heart palpitations.

In the West’s do-or-die match, the OKC Thunder took on the Zion Willamson-less New Orleans Pelicans. Without Williamson, Trey Murphy and Brandon Ingram would need to lead the Pelicans past a young and hungry Thunder roster. Meanwhile, the ten-seed Thunder were hoping to shock the Pelicans at home. However, the Thunder had struggled against New Orleans this season, going 1-3 in four games. The loser would be starting their offseason. Meanwhile, the winner would get one more chance to reach the playoffs.

Thunder Outclasses New Orleans

In front of a packed Smoothie King Center, it looked like the home team Pelicans would be moving on. Thunder team leader Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put up just seven points in the first half behind a constant double and triple-teaming effort from the Pelicans. However, the Pelicans were unable to completely dominate offensively and were only leading by seven at the half. A crucial advantage that the Pelicans did have was better play in the paint, out-rebounding the Thunder on both ends.

Despite the slim deficit, the second was all Thunder. Gilgeous-Alexander put up 25 points to complete a game-total 31 from teammate Josh Giddey. The Thunder’s second half was enough to hold off the Pelicans, and 20 second-half points from Ingram. The Pelicans had a chance to send the game to overtime as time expired but Herbert Jones threw away a crucial inbound pass. Gilgeous-Alexander led all scorers with a total 32 points. Ingram led the Pelicans with 30. The tenth-seeded Thunder moved on and will face the Timberwolves for the West’s eighth seed. It marks the end of a disappointing season for New Orleans, who were completely derailed by losing Zion Williamson yet again. Williamson has now missed 60% of his young NBA career to injury.

Lakers OT Win Gets Twitter Riled Up

The NBA playoffs are finally here. As has been the tradition since 2021, proceedings begin with the Play-In tournament. The four-team event determines the seventh and eighth seeds for both conferences. This year, the Lakers, Timberwolves, Pelicans, and Thunder contest the West. Meanwhile, the Hawks, Heat, Raptors, and Bulls will battle it out in the East. As is the nature of the NBA’s depth of talent, some big-name stars will be getting a headstart on the offseason.

LeBron and the Lakers, who finished seventh in the regular-season standings. took on the Rudy Gobert-less Timberwolves. The winner would take the seventh seed and a first-round matchup against the Grizzlies. Earlier in the day, former Laker Kyle Kuzma had voiced his support for the LA squad as they looked to repeat their 2021 Play-In success. However, the Lakers had struggled against Minnesota, going 1-2 in their three regular-season matchups.

Lakers Clinch Seventh Seed In Overtime

Even without Gobert, the Timberwolves didn’t make things easy for the Lakers. Behind big performances from Karl-Anthony Towns and Mike Conley, the Timberwolves led by 11 at halftime. However, Minnesota’s lack of depth, and a poor night for Anthony Edwards, prevented the Timberwolves from ever running away with the game. Edwards, averaging nearly 25 points per game this season, scored just nine against the Lakers while also going 0-9 from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, the Wolves got just 20 points from their four-man bench. In comparison, the Lakers bench saw Dennis Schoeder alone score 21. The Wolves also lacked a presence in the paint, putting up just four offensive rebounds all game.

Despite their opponent’s struggles and a game-leading 30 points from LeBron, the Lakers still needed overtime to clinch the win. Up three with 0.1 seconds on the clock, Anthony Davis got called for a costly foul on Mike Conley. Conley drilled a trio of free throws to tie the game at 98 at the end of regulation. Despite this mistake, the Lakers pulled away in overtime to take a 108-102 win. They will now travel to Memphis to face the Grizzlies in the first round. For the Timberwolves, their playoff hopes are still alive. They will face the winner of the Pelicans-Thunder game to determine the eighth seed.

Billy McFarland Confirms Fyre Festival 2.0 After Serving Four Years In Prison

Billy McFarland’s first-ever attempt at throwing a music festival may have been one of the biggest flops in human history, but that’s not stopping him from trying again. On Sunday (April 9), the convicted felon announced via Twitter that he’s plotting another event in the near future, and he’s already seeking out eager volunteers to make an appearance on the guest list. “🔥 Fyre Festival II is finally happening,” he wrote on the weekend. “Tell me why you should be invited.”

Earlier this month, McFarland interestingly spoke out about his desire to return gracefully to the public eye, writing, “I was one of the most Googled people in the world. What’s next will be the biggest comeback of all time. My plan: get some wins under my belt; rebuild trust, and build an audience so I can build the next media empire.” As Variety notes, his latest announcement comes shortly after his release from prison last year. The 31-year-old served four years of a six-year sentence after pleading guilty to charges of defrauding investors and scamming ticket buyers. He additionally received a hefty fine of $26 million, which he has vowed to find a way to pay.

Billy McFarland is Planning a Comeback

In response to his Fyre Festival news, many users chimed in with skeptical reactions. “Tell me why you shouldn’t be in jail?” one user asked McFarland. “It’s in the best interest of those I owe for me to be working,” he retorted. “People aren’t getting paid back if I sit on the couch and watch TV. And because I served my time.” Someone else suggested that they should be invited to the upcoming event, “because [they’re] not Ja Rule,” which earned an obvious seal of approval from the embattled businessman.

“I know a safer way to enjoy music,” the official LimeWire account quipped, though they weren’t fortunate enough to earn a reply from the original poster. Keep scrolling to read more Twitter reactions to Billy McFarland’s big announcement. Afterward, let us know if you’ll be attending Fyre Festival 2.0 in the comments below.

As it turns out, she has a plan to bring in even more revenue from the NSFW project in the form of a nude coffee table book, which Azalea confirmed via Twitter will be uncensored.

“You need to give [us] a photo book,” one follower wrote in response to a selfie shared by the mother of one this past weekend. “You take the best pictures😍,” they added, earning a response from Azalea. “Thank you so much! Iggy Azalea Shares Some Exciting News

To clear up any confusion, the “Work” hitmaker also answered a fan inquiry, “In the book, the images will be censored?” by explaining, “No. It’s uncensored.” It remains how much Azalea plans to charge for the collection of her nudes, but considering how many have already been willing to pay for her OnlyFans, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Hotter Than Hell sell out. In her replies, several users have already thirstily confirmed their interest in purchasing a copy. “I’m buying a book for each room🔥🔥🔥,” one person wrote on Sunday. “Will we have it before or after your new album?” another asked, though the blonde beauty has yet to respond.

Millie Bobby Brown Engagement Leads To Shock On Twitter

Millie Bobby Brown announced her engagement earlier today on her Instagram. Now, the internet is losing its collective mind. The starlet recently got engaged to the son of singer, Jon Bon Jovi. The two have been together since 2021. Still many have expressed outrage at her decision to get engaged so young. Millie, however, is no stranger to criticism on the internet. She has often been the target of jokes, like the extremely popular “Millie Bobby Brown is homophobic” that was so prevalent a few years ago. The actress is not, in fact, homophobic, but it did cause many to believe that she is. This newest backlash will likely do little in the way of affecting how Millie feels about her engagement.

Millie Bobby Brown has been in the public eye since the age of 9. However, it was her role as “Eleven” in the popular Netflix series Stranger Things that catapulted her to super-stardom. Following that, she has appeared in various franchises, both big and small. In 2019, she joined the cast of Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The next year she landed the lead role in her own series of Netflix films, Enola Holmes. They reportedly earned her over $6 million. Despite her busy TV schedule, Millie has managed to appear in sequels for both franchises, which is quite impressive. She does have a few more roles lined up, but it’s likely that she won’t be able to take on much until Stranger Things comes to an end.

Is Millie Too Young?

Millie Bobby Brown took to Instagram to share a photo with her fiancé, Jacob Bongiovi, along with a caption that references a Taylor Swift song, saying, “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.” In the picture, Millie looks joyful and radiant as she is embraced from behind by Jacob. She is also seen wearing an engagement ring with a huge stone. While fans may not be familiar with Jacob, they will likely recognize his father, as he is none other than the renowned singer Jon Bon Jovi.

Regardless of how joyful the actress may be about the announcement, Twitter has a lot to say about it. Many of the reactions say that Millie is too young to be engaged. What do you think about her engagement? Is 19 too young? Let us know in the comments. In the meantime, check out some of the Twitter reactions below!

WNBA Draft Had Twitter Going Wild

Monday night was WNBA Draft night. The event was hosted at Manhattan’s Spring Studios New York and exclusively broadcast on ESPN. The league’s 12 teams gathered to select the young collegiate stars they hope will become cornerstones of their franchise. The WNBA draft is comprised of three rounds and 36 total picks. 15 players were invited to attend the draft in person.

The 2023 Draft was one of the most hyped stagings in recent memory. Hours before it began, the league announced the expansion of charter flight use. Furthermore, the wealth of talent available had experts hailing the class’ depth. However, this also led to the usual lamentations about the league’s size, and thus the players who would go undrafted. The Indiana Fever held the first overall pick for the first time in franchise history.

WNBA Draft Provides Chaos And Surprises

The draft began as many experts had predicted. The Indiana Fever took South Carolina standout first overall and the Minnesota Lynx took Maryland star Diamond Miller second. Then the Dallas Wings, who initially held the third and fifth picks, managed to take three players in a row. The Wings selected Villanova’s Maddy Siegrist third, immediately traded for the rights to Iowa State’s Stephanie Soares when the Washington Mystics took her fourth, and then took UConn’s Lou Lopez Senechal fifth. Dallas’ aggressive moves aside, few mock drafts had Soares and Senechal going as high as the top five.

The surprises continued to come throughout the three-round draft. South Carolina’s Brea Beal, projected to go at the end of the first round, fell to the end of the second. Angel Reese‘s teammate Alexis Morris also had to wait until the end of the second to hear her name called. However, by the end of the night, 36 players had been drafted. That included five from South Carolina alone, making the Gamecocks the third school (and fourth class overall) to see that many players drafted. Meanwhile, the Wings eventually ended the night with six total players, with four in the top-15. Eyes will now turn to May and the start of the 2023 WNBA season to see how this rookie class fares on the court.

Doja Cat Gives Unserious Album Updates On Twitter: “I Quit Music”

Doja Cat fans are still waiting for her upcoming album, despite the fact that her recent tweeting spree has left us more confused than ever. To begin her weekend, the Planet Her hitmaker teased some potential raunchy song names, also telling followers that she’s changing her sound up, and leaning more into the world of rap than her usual pop sounds. “I also agree with everyone who said the majority of my rap verses are mid and corny,” the fashionista noted in another post. “I know they are, I wasn’t trying to prove anything I just enjoy making music but I’m getting tired of hearing y’all say that I can’t, so I will.”

The next evening, Sunday (April 9), Doja returned with yet another update, this one far less serious than her last. “The whole album is no longer rap y’all,” she asserted. “It’s rock/spoken work and the album title is not ‘Hellmouth’ anymore.” In her next tweet, the Californian shared that the project is being rebranded as Moist Holes, a “French conceptual experimental country/bohemian fusion with the essence of blue-grass” effort. Minutes later, the “Say So” songstress shut down any concern with a quick “Jk” while also boasting that her work-in-progress has “100” guest features.

Doja Cat Provides Unusual Updates on Hellmouth

The trolling didn’t stop there, of course. As reactions to her comedic announcements continued to roll in, Doja declared, “I quit music.” She goes back and forth with herself in another series of posts, though ultimately promises readers that she’s going to finish making Hellmouth. “Jk I quit. I’m done with this music shit it’s only making me sadder every day. I can’t take it anymore,” the 27-year-old vented, though it remains unclear how serious she was being at the time.

In her final post of the night, Doja Cat caused even more confusion regarding her next album’s genre. “As long as it’s not a country album🙏,” one person wrote. In response, the recording artist teased, “And THAT it is… :p.” Keep scrolling to see her unusual recent posts for yourself, and check back later for more music news updates.

Cardi B Responds To Dalai Lama Child Tongue Sucking Scandal: “The World Is Full Of Predators”

As a mother of two, it’s no surprise that Cardi B is one of the millions of social media users expressing disgust over a circulating video of the Dalai Lama and a young boy. In the viral clip, the religious leader kisses a young child standing before him. He was also seeking to have his tongue sucked – a decision which he’s since issued an apology over. “His Holiness often teases people he meets in an innocent and playful way, even in public and before cameras,” a statement from his office on Monday (April 10) reads. “[The Dalai Lama] wishes to apologize to the boy and his family, as well as his many friends across the world, for the hurt his words may have caused,” they added, noting their leader’s “regret” over the incident.

Even with the apology, people all across the world are expressing disappointment and disgust online. For her part, Cardi used Twitter to speak her mind this morning, writing, “This world is full of predators. They prey on the innocent. The ones who are most unknowing, our children. Predators could be our neighbours, our school teachers, even people [with] money, power, and our churches.” The rap diva also reminded parents out there to “Constantly talk with [their] kids about boundaries and what they shouldn’t” let others do.

PROTECT OUR KIDS and let them know not to let anyone touch their private parts.”

“Succession” Twist Causes Twitter To Lose It

Succession has been a smash hit for HBO. The boardroom drama about a media mogul and his children has captivated audiences since it premiered in 2018. Created by Jesse Armstrong, Succession follows Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and his three children Roman (Kieran Culkin), Kendall (Jeremy Strong), and Shiv (Sarah Snook). After their father is diagnosed with a terminal illness, his three children engage in a vicious corporate war to be named his successor. The shown has gained a dedicated following, with everything from fantasy leagues to weekly power rankings being created.

Armstrong announced that Season 4 would be the show’s last, alerting fans that the successor would finally be announced. It also spelled the likely end for Logan, given the whole terminal illness thing. Succession‘s final season premiered on March 26, taking the timeslot vacated by The Last of Us. The season currently holds a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Season 4, Episode 3 Drops First Major Twist Of Final Season

The race to succeed Logan Roy as the head of Waystar RoyCo finally hit its endgame in Connor’s Wedding. Not even a wedding, specifically that of Logan’s oldest child Connor (Alan Ruck) is safe. The season has built this up to be a disaster. The main Roy kids are in a bidding war against their dad. Meanwhile, Roman just sold out his siblings to ally with Logan. Logan is skipping the wedding to go to Stockholm. In the season premiere, Connor even notes that the wedding will have everything from “bum fights” to “brass bands”. And then, not even halfway into the episode, Logan Roy dies.

Despite his wealth and power, Logan Roy dies alone on the floor of a private jet. The show goes to great lengths to hammer home the contrast between the glamor of the wedding in New York Harbor and Logan’s lifeless body, surrounded by desperate flight crew members. Finally, phones begin to buzz in New York and the Roys are finally alerted to their father’s imminent death. Consequently, the Roy children attempt to come to terms with what has just happened and their (not great) relationships with their father. Additionally, they must also respond to the realities of their father’s death, such as the financial market impact. However, for the audience, there’s another aspect in play as the episode winds down. There are six episodes left of the show, who is going to win the prize they’ve been chasing for four seasons?
