Tony Yayo Suggests NBA Youngboy Squashed Fredo Bang Beef After Signing “$100 M Deal”

Tony Yayo believes Motown’s $100M with NBA Youngboy encouraged the Baton Rouge-born rapper to end his long-standing beef with Fredo Bang.

NBA Youngboy and Fredo Bang’s feud has been the center of online discourse since 2020. Around that time, Bang referred to Youngboy as his “son” in a celebratory manner, though YB didn’t take it lightly. Instead, the two went at it in the years that followed before finally putting their differences aside in late 2022. Some, including Tony Yayo, believe that YB’s deal with Motown played a role in this decision.

Tony Yayo shared his theory behind the reason they ended their feud during his latest segment on Vlad TV. The G-Unit rapper explained that YB’s recent deal with Motown likely played a role in trying to squash any street tension because of the cheque that came with it.

“How much money they gave NBA Youngboy?” Tony Yayo asked Vlad before estimating that the value of his Motown deal was $100M. “Listen, shout out to NBA Youngboy. You give me $100M, I’m gonna say ‘Stop the violence,’ too. Because now, he’s in a whole other tax bracket. So it’s like, congratulations to him because he’s one of the top dogs out here.”

Tony Yayo added, “Because now, the people are watching, wanting to take that money from you.”

NBA Youngboy and Fredo Bang formally squashed their beef during the “Unity in the Community” Christmas toy drive in Louisiana. The event went down on Dec. 24th with clothes, toys, blankets and more handed out to the community’s children.

YB ended his deal with Atlantic Records last year before his deal with Motown went into effect in 2023. Already, the rapper dished out I Rest My Case as his first offering on the label.

Tony Yayo Reflects On Studio Sessions With Ye, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent & Eminem

Tony Yayo recently sat down for a sprawling interview with DJ Vlad. During the pair’s lengthy chat, the 44-year-old dishes on a number of pop culture and hip-hop topics.

In one of the clips, he talks about being in the studio with a number of high-profile names. This evidently includes fellow G-Unit rapper 50 Cent, but also Dr. Dre, Ye and Eminem.

During part of the sit-down, Yayo talks about the famous back-and-forth between 50 Cent and Kanye in 2007. On March September 11 that year, both artists dropped their respective third studio albums. 50’s Curtis and Kanye’s Graduation subsequently went head-to-head on the charts in a battle for the game’s most popular rapper at the time. Of course, the Chicago native came out on top, selling nearly one million copies in its first week.

“I’ve been in the studio with Kanye a couple of times. I remember him coming to Dre’s studio, ’cause everybody used to come to Dre’s studio. See, that’s why I’m so appreciative, ’cause those experiences for me, I would never forget. Forget the cars.. to be in the studio with Dr. Dre and Eminem, that was my dream,” reveals Yayo.

Another rapper he’s spent time with in the studio is Eminem. “Then we in the studio in Detroit.. it’s cold as a b*tch, we out there with Eminem. This [is] f*ckin’ Eminem, this dude just sold 16 million records. We used to go to L.A. with Dre and then we’d go mess with Em,” reflects the New York native.

Ultimately, it certainly seems as though Yayo is reflecting back on these experiences with gratitude. “That’s why I’m so humble, because my dreams came true, man. I might not have as much cars, chains and b*tches as any other rappers [but] it’s not about that. It’s about the experience, man,” says the 44-year-old.

Elsewhere in the interview, the G-Unit rapper shares his thoughts on Tory Lanez going to jail. “I mean, it could be rough. People are not used to the conditions. You nobody, you just a number. They gon’ make you feel like you’re not R. Kelly or Bill Cosby, they tryna make you feel like you just a number, and that’s what you are, just like everybody else,” he says on his own personal experiences behind bars.

50 Cent’s pivotal 2003 LP Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ was the launching pad for him and his G-Unit collective to gain traction as a powerhouse at the turn of the millennium in Hip Hop. To the surprise of many, Fif let it be known that he wishes that the weight of superstardom wasn’t on his shoulders, but rather on the shoulders of his next in charge, Tony Yayo.

In an interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood, 50 said, “My solo album took off so big that I just brought them with me, so it was clear that it was me creating opportunity for everybody else in the crew, but we was all together. I wish it would have been Yayo, because then I coulda did all of the business. If he woulda did what 50 Cent did, then I would have been running the whole thing.”

In his interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood, 50 Cent also announced that he’s been green lighted to start working on an 8 Mile TV series to help solidify Eminem‘s legacy, though details remain few and far in between.

“I wanna bring — I’m gonna bring, 8 Mile to television,” 50 Cent said,

“We in motion. It’s gonna be big. I’m working. I ain’t got no duds. I’m batting 100 … I think it should be there for [Eminem’s] legacy because it’s important to me that they understand it.”

Tony Yayo Thinks Video Of Gunna Leaving Jail “Wasn’t A Good First Day Out”

Jury selection for the YSL RICO case is underway, and Tony Yayo has been paying attention. The G-Unit rapper, along with the remainder of Hip Hop, has tracked updates in the case against Young Thug and his purported associates. Eight people have taken plea deals, including Gunna, and Yayo questions if the “Pushin P” rapper’s first day out was a good look.

“It’s hard to call somebody a snitch without the paperwork, but I think when that video came out,” Yayo told VladTV. “‘Cause remember when Gunna got out—and I love Gunna music. I love Thugger music. Gunna got out, he had the bad chick with him, jumped in a $200,000 Maybach, everything was all Gucci.”

“But, two minutes later—what was that, probably like an hour later, the film in court came out. And, you know, of course, his lawyer wrote that [statement]. His lawyer probably wrote that. But, now in these days, you got the camera, it just gon’ look like you pushin’ pleas.”

Yayo noted that in the industry, especially Hip Hop, “if you turn into a rat… career’s over.”

Vlad spoke about Gunna admitting in his plea deal that YSL was a criminal organization and that he witnessed other members committing crimes.

“But then, a lotta people was confused and they was sayin’, ‘What Thugger say? Did Thugger tell him to take that plea ’cause he feel like he not comin’ home?’” said Yayo.

“If that’s the case and he told him to do that… There’s just a lotta confusion,” he added. “We don’t know. The internet is gonna have two sides to the story. But the video in court, when you sayin’, ‘Yo, is YSL a gang?’ ‘Yes ma’am.’ ‘Is this a gang? ‘Yes ma’am.’”

Yayo said he would have stayed in jail longer than a year. “That wasn’t a good first day out for him.”

The case against Young Thug is said to begin this month. Check out what else Tony Yayo had to say about the controversy above.

Tony Yayo Says Tory Lanez Is a Target in Jail: ‘He’s the Talk of the Jail'

Tory Lanez is currently behind bars after being found guilty of three felonies last year. G-Unit star Tony Yayo believes the Canadian star is in danger and will be attacked behind bars.

Sitting on VladTV, Yayo stated the star treatment for Lanez is over and he will be treated like just another number and will be treated like everyone else. Yayo stated that Lanez is likely the talk of the jail and now everyone inside has something to talk about.

“Motherf*ckers don’t care. If you get out of line, a motherf*cker will get out of line with you too. Then you more of a target. C’mon, L.A. county? You seen they put up his meal. ‘Yo, Tory Lanez in here.’ That’s the talk of the jail and now everybody in the jail got something to talk about.”

Tony Yayo Says Tory Lanez Will Be Attacked In Jail

Tony Yayo is typically an entertaining guy. Beyond his raps, he’s certainly never afraid to speak his mind.

The G-Unit rapper recently sat down for an interview with VladTV. During the conversation, he shares his thoughts on the recent Tory Lanez guilty verdict.

Of course, DJ Vlad doesn’t shy away from asking the 44-year-old about the case. He asks Yayo what it’s like in jail as a rapper, based on the New York native’s personal experience. “I mean, it could be rough. People are not used to the conditions. You nobody, you just a number. They gon’ make you feel like you’re not R. Kelly or Bill Cosby, they tryna make you feel like you just a number and that’s what you are, just like everybody else,” he answers.

“Motherf*ckers don’t care. If you get out of line, a motherf*cker will get out of line with you too. And then you more of a target. C’mon, L.A. county? You seen they put up his meal. ‘Yo, Tory Lanez in here.’ That’s the talk of the jail and now everybody in the jail got something to talk about,” Yayo continues.

Later on in the interview, the “Drama Setter” rapper explicitly says what he would do to his lawyer if he was in Lanez’s shoes. “Where I’m from, I ain’t never hear nobody really shoot a girl. Like, you shoot n*ggas, but really don’t shoot girls. So it’s a strange case. If he woulda shot a n*gga, n*ggas probably wouldn’t have cared,” he prefaces.

“She got hit in the foot, it’s not an attempted murder, so for me, I probably woulda just copped out. Look at Tory, you go to jail on Christmas, you think you gon’ beat the case and then my lawyer would’ve got punched in the face, ’cause I’m not spending a quarter million dollars and my lawyer’s not telling me, yo, we might lose this,” he explains afterwards.

Tony Yayo Talks Tory Lanez & The “Little Man Complex”

The case against Tory Lanez has come to a close, but that hasn’t stopped the world from speaking on the controversy. Lanez was enjoying the good life with several No. 1 albums under his belt, but an altercation with Megan Thee Stallion would spell disaster for both artists. Weeks ago, Lanez was convicted of three charges related to the 2020 shooting, and it was a verdict that divided Hip Hop.

From the onset, the singer’s supporters believed Megan lied about who pulled the trigger and shot her that fateful day. She pointed the finger at Lanez; however, during the trial, he claimed it was Megan’s former friend, Kelsey Harris.

In a new conversation with VladTV, Tony Yayo adds his voice to the chit-chat and discusses men who may have a “little man complex.”

Yayo and Vlad spoke about the trial and the evidence presented against Lanez. The audio of the gunshots was brought up before Vlad said, “Tory’s not a street guy. He’s an artist, he’s a singer. No one looked at Tory as a tough guy.”

Yayo replied, “But when you have money and power, I mean, it could turn you semi-tough.” He made it clear he doesn’t know Lanez at all, so he couldn’t necessarily speak on his demeanor. Vlad chimed in to say Tory is 5 foot 2 inches tall.

“I know n*ggas that’s 5 foot 2 that got the little man complex and will cut your face,” said Yayo.

Vlad contested that men like that usually have a reputation for violent behavior. According to the interviewer, he’s never heard of Tory being a violent person outside of the run-in with August Alsina.

However, Lanez was sued by Love & Hip Hop Miami star Prince for allegedly attacking him at a club. Additionally, a woman who claimed to be Lanez’s ex came forward with allegations of domestic violence. He later denied knowing the woman. Celina Powell also accused Lanez of attacking her, but she later stood up for him against Megan’s allegations.

Lanez will face sentencing later this month.

Grafh Links Up With Tony Yayo & Sly Pyper For New Single, “Sometimes”

New York rapper Grafh has had a consistently steady output during 2022. Dropping several singles, many of which are collaborations, the 40-year-old has successfully made sure to maintain his relevancy in the game.

On Friday (December 30), the “Blow” rapper returned to drop off a brand new single with Tony Yayo and Sly Pyper, titled “Sometimes.” Pyper delivers the catchy hook, while Grafh and Yayo spit verses of their own. As a whole, the track finds the trio reflecting on their respective lives and struggles.

“This pain here never run out / I got so many tears, but they never come out / Livin’ in fear, you n*ggas is scared, so you never come out / Some n*ggas was weird that they never hung out,” Grafh raps in the song’s first verse.

The G-Unit rapper follows suit, speaking his own truth in his subsequent verse. “I jumped off the porch at 15 and started slingin’ / The truth gets silenced when the powerful is speaking / Live life with love, I don’t have expectations / My city never sleep and n*ggas always hatin’,” he raps.

Earlier this year, the Queens native released the deluxe edition of his 2021 album, Stop Calling Art Content. The project contains posthumous production from DJ Shay, who tragically passed away in 2020. The late producer was a part of Griselda Records and consistently worked with artists affiliated with the label, including Grafh.

Make sure to stream Grafh, Tony Yayo and Sly Pyper’s “Sometimes” on either Spotify or SoundCloud down below. Share your thoughts on it in the comments afterwards. Finally, make sure to stay tuned to HNHH for the latest music releases.

Quotable Lyrics:

I know a few winners in the game
But if you stay in it, like winning in Vegas, n*gga, you bound to lose
Won’t get too much pushing through pain
But sometimes you can’t get numb enough from whatever the vice you choose
