50 Cent Reacts To “No Diddy,” Shares Throwback With Eminem & Dr. Dre

It’s no secret that 50 Cent has his fair share of issues with Diddy, which is why fans were eager to hear his take on the new phrase going around, “No Diddy.” Social media users are using the phrase in place of phrases like “pause” or “no homo” to convey a similar message. The new slang has been going viral for the past day or so after a clip of Quilly saying it during an interview with DJ Akademiks made its rounds online.

As expected, 50 Cent was quick to hop on Instagram to weigh in, and it appears as though he’s a fan. He shared a post by Daily Loud about the phrase earlier today, revealing his thoughts on it in his caption. “Oh, I fvck wit son that’s my man No Diddy. 🤨I’ll Boom you right Now! Fvck outta here! LOL @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi,” he captioned the post.

The Weeknd’s “After Hours” LP Turns Four: Looking Back At The Self-titled, Multi-faceted Masterpiece Of A Song

The Weeknd has so many classic tracks in his discography, that almost goes without saying. Whether its radio hits, bangers, or just well-crafted records, he really does have something for everyone. On top of having incredible tracks, he also has unforgettable albums. One of those is his 2020 contemporary R&B/80s pop offering After Hours. This was the LP that began his second trilogy in his discography and was continued in 2022 with Dawn FM. Today, on After Hours fourth anniversary, we wanted to reminisce about the captivating self-titled track to see how well it has held up.

“After Hours” was produced by The Weeknd as well as R&B legend Mario Winans, and frequent collaborators Illangelo and DaHeala. The Canadian R&B megastar made the song about a familiar topic in his canon. He is on his knees, apologizing to someone he used to be with as he looks to repair the relationship and himself. However, his old, promiscuous tendencies have come back up after being separated from her, making his vows to change less believable. It is a beautifully dark and sad tale that is executed perhaps the best on this song.

Relisten To “After Hours” By The Weeknd

The third promotional single for “After Hours” did not see the same mainstream success as a “Blinding Lights,” for example. However, it still had a respectable number 77 placement in its first week on the Hot 100 chart. It went on to eventually peak at number 20, but this record is more than the numbers. The Weeknd really went all into creating a progressive experience with incredible beat switches, especially when the second verse comes in. We see this as an essential Weeknd track and it may be his greatest performance ever.

What were your thoughts on “After Hours” by The Weeknd when it dropped? Do you consider this his strongest track in his discography, why or why not? Or, is it just the best song on After Hours? Is this The Weeknd’s best album, why or why not? Is he the Michael Jackson of this era? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding The Weeknd. Finally, stay with us for the most informative song posts throughout the week.

Quotable Lyrics:

My darkest hours
Girl, I felt so alone inside of this crowded room
Different girls on the floor, distractin’ my thoughts of you
I turned into the man I used to be, to be
Put myself to sleep
Just so I can get closer to you inside my dreams

Old Footage Of Kamala Harris And Montel Williams Resurfaces

Footage of Kamala Harris and Montel Williams during their brief 2001 relationship has re-emerged online. The footage shows the couple attending a red carpet-event together. Harris was yet to enter politics and was heading the Family and Children’s Services Division of San Francisco. She would win her first political position, San Francisco DA, in 2004. Meanwhile, Williams was in the midst of the syndicated run of The Montel Williams Show, which would end in 2008.

However, as mentioned, the relationship was a brief one. Harris met her husband, attorney Doug Emhoff, through a mutual friend in 2013. Meanwhile, Williams married American Airlines flight steward Tara Fowler in 2007. In 2020, Williams tweeted that he had “great respect” for Harris as she was named Joe Biden’s running mate for the 2020 election.

Lil Wayne Performs “Mrs. Officer” At Kamala Harris Hip-Hop 50 Event

Meanwhile, Did Lil Wayne shade the Vice President? While performing at Kamala Harris’s Hip-Hop 50 celebration last year, Wayne dropped a performance of “Mrs. Officer”. Peaking at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2008, it’s a beloved piece of Wayne’s catalog. However, is there a deeper meaning to this performance? Obviously, the song is about Wayne getting it on with a female police officer and references N.W.A.‘s “F-ck Tha Police”. But before she was a senator and later VP, Harris had a relationship with law enforcement. She served as both San Francisco DA and California AG. Furthermore, she was widely criticized for her vocal pro-cop stance.

“Hip hop is the ultimate American art form,” Harris said at the event. “Born at a back to school party in the Bronx, raised on the streets of Philadelphia, Chicago, Oakland and Atlanta, hip hop now shapes nearly every aspect of America’s popular culture and it reflects the incredible diversity and ingenuity of the American people. To be clear, hip hop culture is America’s culture. It is music and melody and rhyme. Hip hop is also an ethos of strength and self-determination; of ambition and aspiration; of pride, power and purpose. Hip hop is a declaration of identity. It says I love who I am. I represent where I come from, and I know where I’m going.”

Lil Uzi Vert’s “Silly Watch” Embodies Everything About The Philly Rapper

Lil Uzi Vert had fans begging and pleading for a new album after his hit-filled record Luv Is Rage 2 dropped in late 2017. The Philly affiliate is one of the hardest rappers to trust when it comes to his promises of new music. But the wait was well worth it for fans as well as his bank account. When Eternal Atake finally hit streaming in March of 2020, it cleaned house with sales. Fans scooped up 288,000 copies, easily enough for a number one spot on the Billboard Hot 200 chart. One of the reasons why it was so successful was because of Lil Uzi Vert’s cut “Silly Watch.”

The banger about his obsession with watches also catapulted Eternal Atake to having the fourth largest streaming week ever. “Silly Watch” is quintessential Uzi as he lives up to his stage name rapping at the fire rate of the SMG. The Supah Mario beat is also very addicting with its piano-led melody. Hardcore fans of his will know that this track had a different name.

Listen To “Silly Watch” By Lil Uzi Vert

According to Genius, the record was going to be referred to as “40 Glock.” However, Supah Mario cleared things up on Twitter saying that it does not exist. When the tracklist was revealed that is when fans figured out that “Silly Watch” would be the new moniker. It has since become one of the most popular tracks on the sophomore LP and for good reason. Of course, it would go on to receive its deluxe, LUV vs. The World 2, a week later with more features.

What are were your thoughts on “” by Lil Uzi Vert? Is this one of his strongest tracks of from Eternal Atake, why or why not? What is your favorite element of the song and why? Is this project still in your rotation? Do you prefer this version, or its deluxe, LUV vs. The World 2? Drake Shares Throwback Pictures On Instagram, Calls Playboi Carti’s Filter Racist

Drake is no stranger to reminiscing. In fact, the rapper is often fond of looking back on his early days before becoming one of the biggest musical artists in the entire world. That was the case on a recent Instagram post where he shared a photo dump of old photos from earlier in his career. “How?????” he captioned the post, seemingly unable to believe just how far he’s come. One of the pictures included in the post is of a younger Drizzy posing with Common. Check out all the old photos he shared below.

Vintage Drake Photos

In a much weirder online moment, Drake used Playboi Carti’s Instagram filter and it didn’t go as planned. In the clip he’s able to use it on himself no problem but when he tries to point the camera at anyone with a darker complexion, it won’t recognize them. “Unusually bias Carti filter that detects light skins wtf kind of t3(hnol0gy is this?!??” the caption of the post reads. In the comments, fans try to point out that it has more to do with the darkness of the room he’s in than the filter itself. It’s hard to tell exactly how serious Drake is in his accusation though. Check out the full video of him using Carti’s filter below.

Drizzy is currently on the second leg of his “Its All A Blur” tour with J. Cole and Lil Durk. He just released a new album For All The Dogs and a new EP Scary Hours 3 last year. Following the releases he claimed that he would be taking a hiatus from releasing new music, but doesn’t seem to be sticking to that. He’s been teasing new material coming soon while on tour.

Fans Uncover Footage Of Nicki Minaj Filming “No Frauds” Music Video

The Barbz are gagging after behind-the-scenes footage of Nicki Minaj filming the music video for “No Frauds”. Minaj is seen in her iconic outfit from the video as she lip-syncs under an arch. It was one of the first times that Minaj referred to herself as the “Queen of Rap”, taking direct shots at Remy Ma’s long-standing claim on that title. Minaj later took further shots at Ma, giving her 72 hours to release a response and offering her $500,000 if she could book a show or interview without using Minaj’s name to do so.

The Young Money track, also featuring Drake and Lil Wayne, was released in 2017 and peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. However, the song was largely panned by critics. Furthermore, the music video was criticized due to its proximity to a terror attack in London. Additionally, “No Frauds” was seen as a generally weak response to Ma’s “Shether” despite the level of talent on the track. Despite this, some critics noted that Minaj won the beef on “star power alone”.

SZA Showcased Her Raw Talent On The “CTRL” Opener “Supermodel”

Prior to the release of her album CTRL, SZA was someone who was certainly making interesting R&B music. The early stages of her career were a grind, but she eventually broke through. Overall, CTRL is seen as a modern-day classic, and for good reason. At 14 tracks, it is a concise record packed with hits and personal stories that will strike a chord. One could look at songs like “Drew Barrymore” and “20 Something” to understand exactly what we mean. However, it is “Supermodel” that has ultimately stuck with us all this time.

“Supermodel” is the opening track on the record, and it is a heart-shattering introduction that leaves the listener is awe of a few things. Firstly, those dissonant guitar chords are gorgeous and completely out of left field. Secondly, SZA’s voice is heavenly and unique, creating a combination that captures your attention. Lastly, the lyrics are personal and at times salacious. It feels like SZA is pulling you into the pages of her diary. We get simultaneous feelings of shame and shameless that contrast perfectly.

SZA Has Blossomed Into A Superstar

These inner conflicts show up all throughout SZA’s music. She has no issues being vulnerable with the listener, even if it leads to people judging her taste or even her actions. These are songwriting risks that SZA takes with her to S.O.S., an album that was robbed of an Album of the Year award at the Grammys. While “Supermodel” may not be the biggest hit on this project, it is certainly the most powerful.

Let us know your thoughts on CTRL, in the comments section below. What is your favorite song from this album? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will always keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Fans Share Throwback Photo Of Drake & Travis Scott Ahead Of Grammys 2024 Showdown

Fans have circulated an image of Drake comforting Travis Scott at the 2019 Grammys ahead of the expected showdown between the two men at tonight’s awards. Scott saw both “Sicko Mode” and Astroworld lost out in the song and album categories respectively. Drake, whose “God’s Plan” beat “Sicko Mode” was the picture of humility as he comforted his fellow nominee. Scott has previously spoken about how hard those losses hit him.

However, history is a cyclical beast and five years later, the pair are set to face off again. Her Loss from Drake & 21 Savage goes up against Scott’s UTOPIA for “Best Rap Album”. While it’s not a direct head-to-head clash as it would be with For All The Dogs, it’s still another Grammys pitting Scott against Drizzy. Who do you think is going to take home the award? Let us know in the comments.

Travis Scott Stops Concert To Lecture Stage-Rushing Fan

Meanwhile, Scott showed that he had learned from the tragedies of his past as he stopped a show to lecture a fan who tried to rush the stage at his recent show. “Ragin’ ain’t runnin’. If you runnin’ down here, that ain’t ragin’. Ragin’ is ragin’. Get back out there before one of these n-ggas knock your lights out. You get what I’m sayin’?” Scott told the fan before sending him back into the crowd. The rest of the audience proceeded to show the admonished fan what “ragin” actually looked like.

Of course, Scott is particularly sensitive to the dangers of a fan rush following the infamous AstroWorld tragedy. It’s not the first time that Scott has admonished a fan on the current Circus Maximus tour. While in Austin, Scott chose to rage alongside a fan who rushed the stage. However, he did give the fan a talking to before deciding to indulge them. Despite these hiccups, the Circus Maximus tour has proven to be a massive success for Scott. It recently included a surprise appearance from Kanye West and may result in a new album being released.
