Charlamagne Tha God Thinks “Pink Friday 2” Needed A Better Rollout

Charlamagne Tha God has given his thoughts about the approach Nicki Minaj took toward releasing Pink Friday 2. “I hate that this album didn’t have a bigger rollout. We need it was coming out but it’s Nicki Minaj. Whoever she’s signed to…Nicki needed and deserved a bigger rollout. She got records on this album. Why wouldn’t a single come out? Why wouldn’t a big video come out?” Charlemagne said on The Breakfast Club. Later in the conversation, he accused Nicki’s label of not having enough of a plan for the release. He noted this was especially apparent when she had to move the release date due to ColleGrove 2.

Pink Friday 2 did have two singles preceding its release. However, both were released well before the album was either announced or its release date revealed. Furthermore, as Charlamagne said, the album is stacked with big-name features such as J. Cole, Drake, and Future. However, the only thing those tracks received before the album was controversy. Additionally, while the album was also preceded by the AI fan collaboration “Gag City”, Charlamagne is right in arguing that Pink Friday 2 got a surprisingly muted release.

Charlamagne Tha God Calls On Joe Biden To Step Down Ahead Of 2024

However, critiquing the rollout of Pink Friday 2 isn’t the only thing Charlamagne has done recently. While hosting The Daily Show, Charlamagne Tha God said that Joe Biden could deliver “the perfect Christmas gift” by dropping out of the 2024 election. “The point is, we don’t need Biden to beat Donald Trump — just like we didn’t need RBG to stay on the court. Maybe if RBG had retired during the Obama years, we’d still have Roe v. Wade. Maybe. People said, ‘No, she needs to be there to protect Roe,’ and now look, both of them are gone. It’s true, they’re both gone,” he added. “See, the facts are: Biden’s not getting any younger, he’s not going to get any more popular, and he’s not getting a new running mate. So please Mr. President, give America the ultimate Christmas gift and step aside,” Charlamagne said.

Concerns about Biden’s age, as well as his plummeting popularity with younger voters, have Democrats worried about Biden continuing to run as the incumbent. Biden’s support of Israel, as well as general economic stagnation in the country, has seen young voters turn towards independent candidates. While it doesn’t endanger a major vote split, it could be enough of a vote siphon to cost Biden key states.

Charlamagne Tha God’s 50 Cent Praise Not Swaying Despite Rick Ross Criticism

Charlamagne Tha God has been sharing his opinions with the world for decades now, which is why he’s so comfortable standing in his integrity, even amid criticism from some of the biggest names in the industry. As we witness what appears to be the downfall of Diddy in real-time, The Breakfast Club host has enjoyed watching 50 Cent’s constant reaction posts land on social media, even labelling the Power producer a “diabolical genius” for how he’s handled the situation so far. While many would agree with Tha God, Rick Ross feels that the media personality is being a “d**k rider,” which he addressed during an episode of his New York radio show earlier this month.

“I stand by what I said. 50 Cent is absolutely a diabolical genius,” the 45-year-old told listeners. “If you look up the word diabolical and the definition of diabolical genius, then you know that is exactly what 50 Cent is. [Diabolical means] very evil but often intelligent. But most Cancers are that. We’re very sweet, very loving and we care about our people, but we do hate as hard as we love. So leave us alone,” Charlamagne continued, speaking on his and Fif’s shared zodiac sign.

50 Cent Still Has Charlamagne Gassing Him Up

Rather than throwing shade back at the “Not For Nothing” artist, Tha God went on to praise him too. “Now I will say too, Rick Ross is a mastermind as well. He’s a master marketer. And you know why? Because every video he posts, he’s promoting something. So even in that video, he’s promoting Belaire. And 50 does that too, by the way. Because if you gon’ go viral, add some value to it. So I respect both those brothers. They all have different levels of genius. And I wish everybody could just play nice. That’s what I wish,” Charlamagne poignantly reflected.

50 Cent is showing no signs of slowing down on trolling Diddy as more lawsuits against the music mogul roll out. Instead, he’s now adding Rick Ross into the mix, using some of the Biggest Boss’ lyrics to break down what’s going on with his contemporary at the moment. Styles P Recalls DMX Dissing Ja Rule On “We Don’t Give A F*ck”

Styles P says that DMX was dissing Ja Rule in the lyrics to his 1998 track, “We Don’t Give A F*ck,” on which he and Jadakiss are featured. Styles reflected on the collaboration during an interview on The Breakfast Club alongside his The LOX partner, Sheek Louch, earlier this week.

“The song was about Ja,” Styles told Charlamagne Tha God during the show. “You didn’t know that? X and Ja having beef. They was dogs. He’s in it, I’m in it with him. Y’all had to know that! Listen to the lyrics!” DMX included the track on his second studio album, Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood.

DMX once addressed his relationship with Ja Rule during an interview with HipHopDX back in 2002. At the time, he discussed how the two have very similar styles of rapping. “It’s not like I’m the only one thinking about this,” he said. “N****s ask me about this shit everyday. So what I’m gonna do? Sit here and do nothing about this sh*t? That ain’t right. I could see if the n***a talked like that regularly. How I talk is how I rap.” He also recalled a specific incident at a club in Los Angeles when he felt Rule was being disrespectful. After bringing him drinks in the club, he ran into Rule again two weeks later: “Same circumstances. Some kid walks over to me and says ‘Ja says he is over there.’ I’m like ‘Aight, is he gonna come over?’ ‘Nah, he said come over there.’ Get the f*ck out of here man, I already extended my hand once. Give me the same courtesy. You can’t do the same as me? I sent him right back over there. You’d think Ja would come over here after all that. Nothin!’ I’m like, “f*ck you.””

Styles P Discusses DMX & Ja Rule

Elsewhere in The LOX’s appearance on The Breakfast Club, they discussed rap lyrics as evidence in the courtroom, Andre 3000’s new album, as well as Diddy’s recent lawsuits, and much more. Be on the lookout for further updates on The LOX on HotNewHipHop.

The LOX Label Andre 3000 The “Greatest Ever” & Plead For Him To Return To Rap

The LOX want Andre 3000 to return to hip-hop after the Outkast rapper recently released his debut studio album, New Blue Sun, as an instrumental project. Appearing on The Breakfast Club without Jadakiss, Sheek Louch and Styles P reflected on Andre’s latest effort and labeled him the greatest of all time while doing so.

“Nah, so much to talk about Dre,” Sheek said. “It’s a lot, man. Just how you word it and put it. You don’t gotta — of course we not talking about being in the hallways or trapping and all that too much but it’s a lot. Let us know what you been going through.”

Styles added: “Rap about his travels. He’s one of the greatest to ever do it. He could’ve rapped over the flute beats. Straight up. I think rapping about what is he gonna rap about is a good point-of-view. It gives different people different perspectives.” As for why Andre decided against rapping on the new record, he explained during an interview with GQ that doing so wouldn’t feel genuine. “Sometimes it feels inauthentic for me to rap because I don’t have anything to talk about in that way,” Dre admitted. “I’m 48 years old. And not to say that age is a thing that dictates what you rap about, but in a way it does. And things that happen in my life, like, what are you talking about? ‘I got to go get a colonoscopy.’ What are you rapping about? ‘My eyesight is going bad.’”

“I make sure that every kid that wants to do something we have certain things set up,” the father of 12 began. “I make time and go do it… I’m all over the damn place but it’s fun y’all see my IG. You see me I’m at the Grinchmas one day and Candy Cane Lane the other day… We f*cking having a ball like you know how much money I spent at Disneyland a year?”

I’m spending $200,000 a year at Disneyland. I used to be an employee. Mickey, can you hook a n***a up?” Check out his full comments below.

DJ Envy, Cesar Pina Sued Under Civil RICO Violation and New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act

DJ Envy Goes Against Lawyer's Advice, Makes Statement Against Rumored Involvement in Real State Scam

DJ Envy and Cesar Pina have been named in a new lawsuit over their real estate business practices. In court documents obtained by AllHipHop, Envy, and Pina are being sued by Derik Deangelo, Chamblin Group Real Estate Ventures LLC, and Reispec Developments LLC.

The suit claims state the two men used their “Flipping New Jersey” seminars as “funnels to draw in victims” to their real estate scam. The lawsuit includes violations of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, a breach of contract, a civil RICO violation, fraudulent transfer, and more. The plaintiffs are seeking a jury trial and request $2,000,000 in damages.

“During these private consultations and meet and greets, members of the Pina network attempted to ‘size up’ the financial resources of each attendee and solicited individuals with sufficiently high net worth to ‘partner’ with Pina, DJ Envy, and other members of the network in real estate ‘joint ventures,’” the docs read. “During these meetings, Pina also offered his personal ‘consulting services’ wherein he made himself available for one-on-one private meetings with guests at his office for flat rate fees ranging from $1,500 to $2,500 per meeting and more.”

You can read more of the court documents here.

“‘The Breakfast Club’ is bigger than any of us as individuals,” Charla said. “I’ve always felt like that.”

He added, “I’ve never felt like The Breakfast Club was just a show about three individuals. That’s always where my mind was.”

Charlamagne Tha God On “The Breakfast Club” Without DJ Envy

Charlamagne tha God has spoken out on the future of The Breakfast Club as it continues without DJ Envy. The longtime co-host has been facing backlash after his former business partner Cesar Pina was arrested for allegedly using a ponzi real estate scheme to defraud investors. Charlamagne addressed the situation during an interview on Rap Radar podcast.

“I think The Breakfast Club is bigger than any of us as individuals. I’ve always felt like that. In my mind, what I’ve always wanted for The Breakfast Club was new talent constantly comes in and is a part of this, is under this umbrella of the club. So whether Angela Yee is there, or I’m there or Envy’s there, the platform can still continue,” he said. Yee had also hosted the show until December 2022, when she left to launch Way Up With Angela Yee.

Jada Pinkett Smith Reveals Why She Didn’t Name August Alsina In Her Memoir

Jada Pinkett Smith recently appeared on The Breakfast Club, where she discussed her new memoir, Worthy. The book details her rocky relationship with her husband Will Smith, revealing that the two have them have actually been separated for seven years. Famously, she was linked to August Alsina at one point in their previously-unknown separation, which was dubbed an “entanglement.”

Considering all that Pinkett Smith shared, some were surprised that she failed to mention Alsina’s name in the book. Charlamagne Tha God asked her about this decision, which she claims was for his sake. According to her, the 31-year-old has been through quite a bit, and she didn’t want to create even more stress in his life. “I felt like he’s been through enough,” she explained. “You know what I mean? And I just wanted to be respectful in that manner.”

Jada Pinkett Smith Says August Alsina Has “Been Through Enough”

Charlamagne later went on to ask her whether or not she feels the need to “heal” that particular situation. “I’m definitely hoping at some point, for sure,” she then replied. Alsina and Pinkett Smith met back in 2015 through her son Jaden. What began as a friendship eventually evolved into a romantic relationship. In 2020, he sat down with Angela Yee to speak on their romance, reflecting on the years he spent with Pinkett Smith.

“I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life, and I truly and really, really deeply love and have a ton of love for her,” he explained. “I devoted myself to it, I gave my full self to it — so much so to the point that I can die right now and be okay with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody.” What do you think of Jada Pinkett Smith’s decision to to include August Alsina’s name in her new memoir, Worthy?
