Even in times of struggle and emotional turmoil, Thanksgiving reminds us all to take time to express gratitude. Darius Jackson made a point to dedicate his annual Instagram post to his son, Leodis, this year, as they spend the young boy’s first time experiencing the holiday apart. He’s currently in the custody of his mom, Keke Palmer, after she requested a judge grant a restraining order against Darius Jackson for his alleged inappropriate, and at times, dangerous behaviour toward the mother of his son.
Court documents claim that the personal trainer was manipulative and insecure while dating Palmer. He would lash out at her for interacting with other men (as we saw after her appearance at Usher’s Las Vegas residency), and apparently once even engaged in a game of “tug of war” over Leodis with the Chicago native. Despite the harrowing gossip, Jackson is doing his part to express his love for the months-old baby boy from afar with an Instagram post showing wholesome moments spent with his side of the family.
Because of the court order in effect, we’re under the assumption that the photos above are old. Nevertheless, Leodis is clearly still weighing heavy on his father’s mind this holiday season. “Always thankful for you, my son,” he wrote in the caption, kicking the carousel off with a video of the father-son duo taken on a plane. We also see Keke’s firstborn posing with her ex’s mom, grandparents, brother (who’s currently in a custody battle of his own), and other extended family members.

Nicki Minaj recently took to social media to show off the meal she prepared for Thanksgiving, leaving her followers drooling. Her feast consisted of mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, chicken, and more. She even threw in some crab legs, an unorthodox but welcome addition to the holiday meal.
Followers fully expected Nicki to pop off in the kitchen this Thanksgiving, and they’re not the only ones. Her friend JT of City Girls shot her a text the day of, letting her know that she was looking forward to seeing what she cooked up. “Happy Thanksgiving!” she wrote. “You started cooking yet? I want to see the food.” Nicki responded, telling her that she’d definitely be taking the opportunity to flex her cooking skills. “Yes tf I am ma’am!!!!!” she wrote, wishing her a happy holiday as well.
The “No Bars” performer went on to share Nicki’s screenshot of their chat, revealing that she wishes she could have dined with Nicki. The Trinidadian-born rapper clearly went all out this year, which makes sense considering all that she has to be thankful for. Earlier this month, she took home an award for Top Female Rap Artist at the Billboard Music Awards for the first time in her career. She went on to thank the Barbz for their support and tease Pink Friday 2, which is slated for release on December 8.
“Thank you to the Billboard Music Awards for presenting me with the best female rap award of 2023,” she said in a clip before blowing fans a kiss. “Barbz, you are amazing. I appreciate you so much. Several famous faces know that all too well after spending several years locked up in prison, but others, like Tory Lanez, are spending their first-ever Thanksgiving in the slammer. The Canadian got a taste of Christmas while incarcerated in 2022, but this time around, he’s getting the full experience, and TMZ managed to get the details on what he’s eating to celebrate the annual holiday.
Much like his listeners, Lanez indulged in some roast turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy on Thursday (November 23). Other fixings on the menu at California Correctional Institution Tehachapi include cornbread dressing, diced carrots, a dinner roll, green salad, cranberry sauce, and of course, pumpkin for dessert. While he’s serving his time at San Diego’s Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility, the outlet notes that Suge Knight ate the same meal as the “Say It” hitmaker.

Elsewhere, R. Kelly has become a seasoned pro at prison Thanksgiving by now. He’s staying at North Carolina’s FCI Butner Medium I, where he was fed roast turkey, baked candied sweet potatoes, cornbread dressing, green beans, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, and pie. In addition to the festive meal, prisoners at various institutes were also partaking in games like bingo, checkers, chess, and relay races to help brighten their moods.

Despite all the rough patches, breakups, and fights that they’ve been through, Chrisean Rock and Blueface still have love for each other. Moreover, the two recently reunited for Thanksgiving, spending some quality time with his kids and with their son, Chrisean Jr. Overall, it seemed like quite the wholesome affair, with each rapper and reality TV star looking like it was all smiles as they hung out with their family. At the very least, it’s a breath of fresh air compared to how much their toxic dynamic manifested in online feuds and the like. We’re sure that won’t stop anytime soon, but for a holiday of thankfulness, we’re happy to see them come together.
Furthermore, even Blueface’s mother, Karlissa Saffold, had to speak on this reunion with Chrisean Rock. “That’s right son you don’t owe no one but them kids,” she wrote on her Instagram Story, reacting to Chrisean’s posts of the occasion. “She only want her cut in the end. You be running around here looking like @tyrese in the end.” If you weren’t already aware, she isn’t the biggest fan of the Baddies star, and it looks like even the turkey couldn’t stop her from launching a soft jab at her.
Of course, this Thanksgiving meeting between Chrisean Rock and Blueface is also notable because of the latter’s relationship with Jaidyn Alexis. That whole side of the drama had each femcee at odds with each other, and there’s been too many left turns and reversals to accurately summarize. Still, we can safely assume that the California MC split his time between both families and was able to spend quality time with his kids on either side. If not, then we’re sure we’ll be hearing about it in the next drama cycle.
Meanwhile, it looks like Chrisean is stirring up a pot of her own when it comes to her rumored relationship status. Whether is K Suave or Lil Mabu, the Baltimore native is likely looking to fill that void and work on herself along the way. Yesterday (November 23) was Thanksgiving, and Thanksgiving means NFL football, and NFL football means halftime shows. The sports league booked a nice roster of performers for this year’s festivities, with Jack Harlow playing the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions game, Dolly Parton performing at the Washington Commanders and Dallas Cowboys match-up, and Steve Aoki taking the contest between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.
It was Parton and Harlow who drew the most attention, though, but for different reasons.

Parton gave it her all, donning a Cowboys cheerleader uniform on a massive stage as she delivered rousing renditions of her own “Jolene” and “9 To 5” and Queen’s “We Are The Champions” and “We Will Rock You.”
Harlow, meanwhile, was decidedly more scaled back with his production, running through four songs on a small igloo set.
Harlow’s performance happened earlier in the day, so after Parton’s went down later on, the internet was full of comparisons between the two showings, pretty much exclusively in favor of Parton. Plies is no stranger to cracking jokes on his Instagram. That’s why fans weren’t surprised to find a holiday-themed video he shared this morning that’s a little bit NSFW. In the clip, he’s injecting his Thanksgiving turkey and can’t help but compare the injections to one thing in particular. “This sh*t reminded me of a BBL job!” he jokes in the hilarious clip.
