100 Thieves Announce “Fortnite” Heist Game

100 Thieves has never been content to simply be an esports team. Company founder Matthew Nadeshot Haag has always been very clear about his intentions. He wants to make 100T the luxury lifestyle brand of the gaming world. This has included a partnership with Gucci in 2021, the sugar-free energy Juvee, and series A funding led by Drake. However, one major area the company has invested in is game design.

It all began with the acquisition of gaming peripheral company Highground in 2021. That blossomed into the announcement that 100T were working on their own FPS product simply known as Project X. While Project X appears to be some way away still, 100T aren’t sitting idly by. After all, it would be very un-100T to simply wait for the game to be ready. Instead, they have reportedly jumped on a smaller side project to be deployed inside of the biggest games on the market.

100 Thieves Announce Fortnite Mode

In a video released to Twitter, Nadeshot and 100T CPO Pete Hawley revealed that they would be dropping a Fortnite game mode on July 11. As yet unnamed mode would be a three-on-three heist game. Teams would have to infiltrate a bank, steal money, and then successfully escape. The game was designed in Unreal Engine Fortnite, a UE build that Epic Games has made available for the development of internal Fortnite projects. Fortnite has become the hub for wild promotional crossovers. In fact, 100T feels tame compared to the likes of Marshmello and Travis Scott concerts. There are still few things weirder than being killed by someone in an Ariana Grande cosmetic.

According to Nade and Hawley, their development team was able to put together the game mode in under two months. Furthermore, they stated that they hope to be able to utilize the game to help provide feedback in order to improve UE Fortnite. Meanwhile, Project X continues to be worked on behind the scenes. Elsewhere, 100 Thieves continue to have mixed success in their esports operations. Their LoL team is currently 4th in the LCS. Meanwhile, their Apex Legends team continues to struggle in pro play, as has their VALORANT team.

Mark Zuckerberg Unveils Threads: New Text-focused App Developed by Instagram’s Team

1. Threads Screens English

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, has officially announced the launch of Threads, a new app developed by the Instagram team that is dedicated to sharing text updates and engaging in public conversations.

Building on Instagram’s success with photos and videos, Threads aims to provide a separate space for real-time updates and discussions. Users can log in using their Instagram accounts, with posts allowing up to 500 characters and links, photos, and videos up to 5 minutes in length.

Whether users are content creators or casual posters, Threads offers a focused platform to connect with friends and creators with similar interests. Zuckerberg also revealed plans to make Threads compatible with the ActivityPub protocol, allowing it to integrate with other apps like Mastodon and WordPress, enabling new types of connections across diverse social networks.

Threads is now available for download on iOS and Android devices in over 100 countries, with Meta planning to introduce additional features in the future to enhance user experience and discovery. The launch of Threads represents a significant step in expanding Instagram’s capabilities and providing users with more options for sharing and engaging in conversations.

Threads App: Launch Date, Instagram, iOS, Android & More

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, is set to launch a new app called Threads. This app is being touted as Meta’s answer to Twitter and is expected to launch on Thursday, July 6th. The announcement comes at a time when Twitter, now owned by Elon Musk, is facing a mass exodus of users seeking alternatives.

What Is Threads App?

Threads, which is linked to Instagram, appeared in the Apple app store on Tuesday July 4th. This comes just two days ahead of the official launch. Meta has also launched a countdown website for the release. Meta describes the Threads app as a “text-based conversation” platform. This means that communities can come together to discuss a wide range of topics.

Users can follow and connect directly with their favorite creators and others who share the same interests. They can also build their own following to share their ideas, opinions, and creativity with the world. Screenshots suggest that users will be able to use their Instagram handle to log in to Threads and follow their existing contacts.

Threads: User Interface And Features

The app’s user interface appears to share similarities with Twitter, including features like reposting, liking, and allowing users to limit who can reply to their posts. However, Threads is not the first app from Meta to bear this name. In 2019, Meta launched an app called Threads to compete with Snapchat, a youth-focused messaging app.

Competition And Market Scenario

Meta’s Threads will join a growing field of platforms, including BlueSky and Mastodon, that are competing to replace Twitter. This comes after Twitter, under Musk’s leadership, made the site more difficult for its estimated 250 million users to access. Twitter began requiring users to log in to view the site and imposed a limit on the number of tweets unverified accounts could view per day.

Privacy Concerns

One factor that may give users pause before signing up for Meta’s Twitter replacement is privacy. Threads can collect data related to your health, financial information, contact information, browsing history, location, and purchases, among other things. For comparison, BlueSky may link contact information, user content, and identifiers. Twitter says it can track users via purchases, contact information, location, contacts, and browsing history.

Pusha T’s Response Diss Track To Jim Jones Surfaces, But It’s A.I.-Generated

The Pusha T and Jim Jones beef is shaping up to be one of the most high-profile and interesting of the year so far. Moreover, that’s because there isn’t really a beef at all, and is instead more of a battle of skill, relevance, and artistry that’s based purely on wax. Still, a lot of that potential hasn’t yet seen the light of day, as the Clipse member still hasn’t responded on wax to Jones’ diss track. Apparently, fans got a little too desperate for it, and one tech whiz in particular took matters into their own hands. Furthermore, an A.I.-generated response track to the Dipset MC surfaced online, and a lot of fans didn’t realize it was fake.

Even though this isn’t Pusha T’s actual response, there are still some fiery digs at Jim Jones throughout. “This s**t is an easy kill, n***as 40 plus twisting they fingers still,” the fake Push raps. “Duck the RICO, we know that n***a squealed, FBI agent with a damn record deal. Red flag waving, banging, boy chill.” Sure, the voice on this record sounds pretty similar, but it’s also relatively easy to distinguish when compared to some other A.I. models of artists.

A.I.-Generated Response To Jim Jones From “Pusha T”

“Jimmy hiding something he got his record sealed, 6ix9ine ain’t the only one working the field,” the Pusha T-impersonating model continues. “We heard them phone taps, you Nicki Barnes, for real, stick to reality TV before I become your new damn Mandeecees. You got drip but your cornrows stay peezy, you hated on French and did Max B greasy.” What’s more is that this fake diss track even mentions Jim Jones as the rapper after Drake that Push will put in a grave.

For those unaware, this all started when Jones responded to Billboard‘s top 50 rappers list and disagreed with Push being on there. After he threw some subliminal disses on an unreleased Clipse song previewed at Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton fashion show, the New York rapper responded with a full diss. Hopefully this fake response didn’t divert the Virginia native from his path in this beef, regardless of which path he chose. Regardless, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Pusha T and Jim Jones.

First Flying Car Gets Approval From The FAA

The Federal Aviation Administration has approved the first flying car to take off under experimental status. Alef Aeronautics confirmed its flying car, “Model A,” has taken the crucial step on its path toward being released to the public. It is the first car to receive a Special Airworthiness Certification from the FAA. The car must need to meet National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration safety standards before taking flight.

CEO Jim Dukhovny says certification “will be our next step.” “The historical significance of this cannot be overstated,” Dukhovny told USA TODAY on Friday. “While there have been pioneers like Terrafugia, Paul Moller, and Henry Ford, this is the first time a vehicle, in the traditional sense (parks and drives like a car, functions like a car, looks like a car), has received permission to fly. It’s also important that Alef is the first electric car which received permission to fly. And, last but not least, the ability for vertical takeoff is central to most people’s conception of a ‘flying car.’”

Alef Aeronautics’s “Flying Car”

“We’re excited to receive this certification from the FAA,” Dukhovny also said. “It allows us to move closer to bringing people an environmentally friendly and faster commute, saving individuals and companies hours each week. This is a one small step for planes, one giant step for cars.”

Users on social media had plenty of skepticism in response to the flying vehicle. One joked on Twitter, “Mfs gonna be flying with low fuel and fall from 500 feet down.” Another argued, “Now I know people always thought wow there will be flying cars someday but this isnt safe. What happens when everyone wants to buy this and are just flying in the sky… will there now be air control for flying cars. this just brings a whole new set of problems.”

The “Model A” is available for pre-order at an estimated final cost of just under $300,000. To join the general pre-order queue costs $150 while a priority queue costs $1500. Check out the pre-order options and learn more about the car here.

Elon Musk Increases Twitter Rate Limit

Elon Musk recently caused another firestorm on Twitter by announcing temporary plans to limit the amount of tweets a user can see in a day. “To address extreme levels of data scraping & system manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits,” he wrote on the platform. “Verified accounts are limited to reading 6000 posts a day. Unverified accounts to 600 posts a day. New unverified accounts to 300 a day.” Of course, a lot of people (especially unverified accounts) were not happy with this, amid some backlash, the tech mogul provided two increases for these restrictions within hours of each other.

“Rate limits increasing soon to 8000 for verified, 800 for unverified & 400 for new unverified,” Elon Musk tweeted. Moreover, about three hours later, he once again announced an increase to the limits. “Now to 10k, 1k & 0.5k.” Ironically enough, Musk’s original tweet announcing these regulations hit a record view count on the social media platform. Even though a lot of people rightfully see this as quite restrictive and potentially harmful considering how much news and media people depend on through Twitter, it’s also hard to say exactly how many tweets a person really needs to read in a given 24-hour timespan.

Elon Musk’s New Twitter Regulations

Regardless, other ideas from Elon Musk actually got commended by some notable figures, including Meek Mill. “In a few weeks, X/Twitter will start paying creators for ads served in their replies,” the soon-to-be former Twitter CEO announced on the platform. “First block payment totals $5M. Note, the creator must be verified and only ads served to verified users count.” “I’m about to cut instagram fully off! Lol,” the rapper posted in support of the idea.

That being said, every rose has its thorn, and Meek Mill had pondered quitting Twitter. “Ima deactivate Twitter forever and go to a new social where it’s more good vibes based off building, creating and motivation,” he wrote in December of 2022. “Whoever run my s**t turn this off forever… Ima takeover my YouTube account to replace me interacting with supports! Too many bots and weird people.” For more news and the latest updates on Elon Musk, stay logged into HNHH.

Elon Musk’s Twitter Implements “Temporary Limit” On Readable Posts Per Day

When we think Elon Musk can’t make Twitter any worse, the Tesla CEO finds a way to blow our minds. On Saturday (July 1), thousands of Twitter users began reporting issues with the popular social media site. Many of them were receiving error messages that their account has been “rate limited.” It was initially thought to be some sort of error on the platform’s end. However, this afternoon, Musk is providing us with some clarity.

His latest idea is restricting the content Twitter users can consume each day based on the status of their account. For example, unverified accounts can view 600 posts per day. Newly registered profiles on the same tier can take in even less, at just 300 tweets. Of course, those who pay to verify themselves with Twitter Blue get the best deal. They max out at 6,000 posts in a 24-hour span. “To address extreme levels of data scraping and system manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits,” the controversial billionaire announced.

Elon Musk Explains Today’s Twitter Updates

Elon Musk Twitter
@elonmusk/Twitter

As Variety notes, this rollout comes after another substantial change was made on Friday. To end the month of June, Musk declared that the content on Twitter is available to registered users only, meaning those without an account can no longer freely creep on others. “Temporary emergency measure. We were getting data pillaged so much that it was degrading service for normal users,” the 52-year-old further explained. At this time, it’s unclear how long the limitations will remain in place, though the CEO shared that he’s open to other suggestions from users.

While his updates to Twitter continue to cause headaches around the world, Elon Musk seems far more concerned regarding his fate when he fights Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. He’s previously admitted that the showdown may end “badly” for him, but luckily, Musk has plenty of pro athletes offering to train him. Read who the South African plans to work with at the link below, and check back later for more pop culture news updates.

Musk V Zuckerberg Receives Venue Offer From Italian Government

The saga of the MMA bout between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg continues to get ever weirder. It all began when Musk, while ranting about Zuckerberg on Twitter, challenged the Meta founder to a “cage match”. Zuckerberg almost immediately accepted the fight on Instagram.

Subsequently, Dana White of the UFC got involved to assure the internet that both men were “dead serious” about actually squaring off. Furthermore, it appeared that White was angling for the UFC to serve as the fight’s promotion. Meanwhile, training offers began to come in for both sides. Musk received offers from Andrew Tate, Dominick Cruz, and Georges St. Pierre, while Zuckerberg received an offer from Jon Jones.

Hype continued to climb, with former UFC mainstay Chael Sonnen claiming that the fight would headline UFC 300. Elsewhere, reality began to set in amongst the competitors. During a Twitter Spaces, Musk admitted that the fight could “go badly for him” given Zuckerberg’s very real dedication to martial arts and combat sports. Finally, the fight appeared to be dead when Musk announced that he was reconsidering the fight due to concerns from his mother. Despite this, a very unusual source has arisen to potentially revive the fight.

Italian Government Offer Colosseum As Musk-Zuckerberg Fight Venue

According to Musk on Twitter, and confirmed by TMZ, the fight could be going ahead at the Colosseum in Rome. Opened in 80AD under Emporer Titus, the Colosseum was the hub of sporting and cultural entertainment for the Roman Empire. It was the largest amphitheater in the ancient world and remains the largest amphitheater still in existence.

Per TMZ, Gennaro Sangiuliano, the Italian Minister of Culture, reportedly reached out to Zuckerberg earlier this week to offer the Colosseum as a fight venue. The UFC is now allegedly in discussions with the Ministry of Culture about the feasibility of the event.

However, as grand as the spectacle would be, it’s unlikely that the fight would actually happen inside the Colosseum. Due to it being nearly 2000 years old and protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980, you can’t exactly turn into the setting for a pay-per-view. The maximum capacity is listed at a few hundred. Furthermore, the amount of work needed to make it fit to host, say, a landmark UFC event, would likely be prohibitively extensive. We’ll keep you updated on this story as it continues to unfold.

Rose Namajunas To Make Flyweight Debut In Paris

In actual MMA news, it was recently revealed that Rose Namajunas will be making her highly anticipated flyweight debut this September in Paris. First reported by MMA Junkie, Namajunas will face French fighter Manon Fiorot at UFC Fight Night Paris on September 2. Fiorot has reportedly wanted the Namajunas for some time but is only now getting the chance.

11-5 in her MMA career (9-4 in the UFC), Namajunas announced her intention to leave strawweight after a title fight loss to Carla Esparaza at UFC 274 in May 2022. Her flyweight debut pits her against ESPN‘s #3 fighter in the division, Fiorot. The French fighter (10-1, 5-0 UFC) has been steadily working her way up the division after debuting in January 2021. If she can continue to perform well, she will likely challenge the winner of the Grasso-Shevchenko rematch/triology.

There is a lot on the line with this fight. For Namajunas, a win would validate her division move and show that she is a force to be reckoned with across two divisions. With the retirement of Amanda Nunes earlier this year, there is currently a power vacuum in women’s MMA that Namajunas could potentially muscle her way into.

Elon Musk Admits Mark Zuckberg Fight Could Go “Badly” For Him

Battle lines are being drawn in the cage fight between tech giants Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg. Musk issued the challenge earlier this week, with the META founder quickly accepting. According to the UFC’s Dana White, both men are “dead serious” about taking part. Some logistical obstacles do remain, such as a date, location, and promotion. Furthermore, Musk is significantly heavier than Zuckerberg, as much as three weight classes higher per standard MMA division. Despite this, oddsmakers are giving Zuckerberg a significant advantage over his South African rival.

Meanwhile, big names from the MMA world are starting to throw out offers of help to post fighters. Embattled kickboxer and influencer Andrew Tate posted an offer to train Musk. This is due to Zuckerberg’s platforms banning him over his spreading of COVID misinformation. Meanwhile, UFC legend Jon Jones offered his services to Zuckerberg, after the two formed a friendship earlier this year. However, now Musk has spoken publicly about for the first time since issuing the challenge.

Joining Bloomberg reporter Ashley Vance on a Twitter space earlier this week, Musk was immediately asked about the fight against Zuckerberg. Vance pointed out that Zuckerberg is actively learning Brazilian jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, Muay Thai, wrestling, and boxing. After this preamble, Vance noted that the fight could “go badly” for Musk, who only enters with a height and weight advantage. “Yeah, that’s possible,” Musk conceded before saying that he’s still willing to try and that the fight “might still happen.” Musk has painted himself into a corner, unable to retract his challenge without looking like he’s running away from his tech rival.

In the meantime, Musk has also received a new offer of training. However, this one has a little more legitimacy than Tate, as it comes from UFC fighter Dominick Cruz. “I would coach and train Elon Musk in a heartbeat. I would start with him immediately. I’m a fan of that guy and the things that he’s doing for the world and the things that he stands for,” Cruz told TMZ. Cruz is 24-4 in his MMA career and a former bantamweight title holder. However, Cruz is also 2-3 in his last five fights and hasn’t held the division belt since 2016. If Musk and Zuck do fight, who do you think will win? Let us know in the comments.
