Drake & 21 Savage Troll Anna Wintour With Unflattering Tour Hologram

When Drake and 21 Savage were first promoting Her Loss in November 2022, one tactic they used was a collection of fake Vogue covers. The hyper-realistic mockups were enough to convince many fans that a special edition of the long-running magazine was in the works. The promotional material even convinced several news outlets to report that the pair would be featured on a Vogue cover in the near future. However, Vogue was unimpressed. Led by long-time editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, the magazine sued the two rappers. The mockup also included nods to Howard Stern and NPR.

The problem, it appeared, was that Drake and Savage had advertised the magazine as real. Drake had gone as far as to make a post on Instagram that tagged the magazine and explicitly thanked Wintour “for the love and support on this historic moment.” Condé Nast reportedly sought $4 million in damages and eventually settled out of court with the rappers. While it’s unknown if Drake and Savage paid the full $4 million, it is believed that the settlement was in the millions.

However, it appears that Drake and Savage are looking to get the last laugh about the whole thing. TikToks that appear to be from the pair’s shows in Boston on July 11 and 12 highlight an intriguing piece of set design. Fans spotted a giant, unflattering hologram of Wintour’s head multiple times during the concert. No one from the tour has officially confirmed that it’s Wintour. Despite this, the signature bob and sunglasses very much give it away. Furthermore, Drake posted the image, which appears to have been AI-generated, on his Instagram earlier this week.

Additional videos appear to indicate that the visual is best viewed during “Jimmy Cooks”. During the song, the hologram dons the iconic sunglasses and laughs evilly. Furthermore, this reveals a mouth full of discolored and rotting teeth. It appears that the two rappers aren’t afraid to poke the bear. Obviously, there’s very little Wintour could do from a legal perspective. However, there are a few social consequences that she could levy instead. For example, don’t expect to see Drake or Savage attending next year’s Met Gala.

Mark Zuckerberg vs. Elon Musk is quickly becoming the tech bro fight of the century. UFC President Dana White is overseeing the cage match between the Founder of SpaceX/Twitter owner and the CEO/Founder of Meta (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). Now, fighting superstars are getting into the mix, offering to help the two amateur fighters get into solid shape. While controversial figure Andrew Tate has offered to train Elon Musk and Jon “Bones” Jones offered his training services to Mark Zuckerberg, Mark has taken a different training route.

Zuck has been seen training with UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya and UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski. The Nigerian-New Zealander and Australian, respectively, are posing with Zuckerberg in a recent photo uploaded to Instagram via RapTV. As of this writing, Volkanovksi is number one in the UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings, while Adesanya is fifth. The two “trainers” make sense for Mark, who is smaller and lanky in stature. He’ll want to have kickboxing and grappling in his fighting repertoire for when he faces off against Elon.

According to MMAFighting.com, Dana White has a specific date in mind for the octagon rumble, saying it won’t be UFC 300, but it will closely follow. UFC 300, a marquee lineup for the sport, is set to go down in Vegas in early 2024.

While Mark Zuckerberg is spreading out his training partners, Elon Musk has been training with Georges St. Pierre and his world-famous grappling coach, John Danaher. Technically, Musk has a significant size advantage over Zuck, which is probably why Mark is tripling down on his training. As for sanctions for the fight and any hoops to jump through, Dana White isn’t too concerned. He wants this fight to happen, and any challenge will be well worth the billionaire brawl.

Among those coupled up are Adele and Jake Paul, Rihanna and Usain Bolt, and Beyonce and Billie Eilish. As The Conversation reports, Kim Kardashian and Idris Elba also appear in an episode together. Rather than their regular, glamorous jobs, the actor is a handyman/delivery driver. As for the socialite, she works as a bus driver in the deep fake world. Elon Musk & Twitter Threaten Threads With Legal Action

Twitter has not been particularly great ever since Elon Musk took over last year. Overall, a lot of people are unhappy with the direction of the website. Additionally, there have been some bizarre choices made over the last little while. For instance, last weekend, some Twitter users couldn’t see more than 600 tweets per day. It was a ridiculous rule and not a lot of people were buying Elon’s explanation for it all. Now, however, everything seems to be back to normal, but people are still suspicious of the website.

This past week, Meta launched Threads, their new social media that is meant to replicate Twitter. Overall, people aren’t vibing that hard with it. Sure, a lot of people have signed up, but that is because you can do so through Instagram. Regardless, Twitter is already taking action against Threads. According to CNN, a lawyer for Elon Musk named Alex Shapiro has written a letter addressed to Mark Zuckerberg about Meta’s alleged practices.

Shapiro is saying that Meta has participated in “systematic, willful, and unlawful misappropriation of Twitter’s trade secrets and other intellectual property.” Furthermore, Shapiro claims that former Twitter employees were hired to work on Threads and that they are using secrets to replicate Twitter’s success. Since these allegations surfaced, Meta has denied all claims that they hired former Twitter employees. As for Musk, he took to Twitter, saying “competition is fine, cheating is not.”

At this point, Twitter has carved out a pretty huge lane for itself and it would be hard for any social media to take that away. Meta is very good at doing Instagram and it is very good at doing Facebook. However, Twitter is its own thing entirely, and for better or for worse, expect the app to stick around for the long haul. Moreover, users realized that if you search Luther Vandross on Google, you end up getting a picture of No Limit Records mogul and rap icon Master P. Of course, it quickly went viral after it caught some steam, especially after none other than The Roots’ Questlove posted about it on his Instagram page. Amid an age of artificial intelligence and automation, the acclaimed creative reminded users that humans aren’t that easy to replace after all. “This is why humans aren’t replaceable,” Quest wrote under a screenshot of the boss of one of the most iconic labels in hip-hop history being confused for Luther Vandross by the tech giant.

In addition, his comments section flooded with jokes tying Master P and Luther Vandross together. “Here and now, I promise to Make em say ugh,” one user wrote in reference to their respective tracks, “Make Em Say Uhh!” and “Here and Now.” Another wrote, “He has No Limit to his Love Songs, with hits like ‘Make ‘Em Say Never Too Much.” Perhaps the funniest reference, though, brought Kanye West into the fray. “She said she want some Marvin Gaye, some No Limit Soldiers, a little Anita…will definitely set this party off right,” referencing “Slow Jamz.”

However, others expressed less amusement and more indignation online, blasting Google for mistaking Master P for Luther Vandross. While the general public doesn’t know how the search engine came to this conclusion (curation, an algorithmic mistake, etc.), many thought it to be racist given that they mixed up two Black men. “@Google who is responsible for this ?” one Twitter user demanded. “This is a picture of percy miller sr. aka master p, not luther vandross. 100 Thieves Announce “Fortnite” Heist Game

100 Thieves has never been content to simply be an esports team. Company founder Matthew “Nadeshot“ Haag has always been very clear about his intentions. He wants to make 100T the luxury lifestyle brand of the gaming world. This has included a partnership with Gucci in 2021, the sugar-free energy Juvee, and series A funding led by Drake. However, one major area the company has invested in is game design.

It all began with the acquisition of gaming peripheral company Highground in 2021. That blossomed into the announcement that 100T were working on their own FPS product simply known as Project X. While Project X appears to be some way away still, 100T aren’t sitting idly by. After all, it would be very un-100T to simply wait for the game to be ready. Instead, they have reportedly jumped on a smaller side project to be deployed inside of the biggest games on the market.

100 Thieves Announce Fortnite Mode

In a video released to Twitter, Nadeshot and 100T CPO Pete Hawley revealed that they would be dropping a Fortnite game mode on July 11. As yet unnamed mode would be a three-on-three heist game. Teams would have to infiltrate a bank, steal money, and then successfully escape. The game was designed in Unreal Engine Fortnite, a UE build that Epic Games has made available for the development of internal Fortnite projects. Fortnite has become the hub for wild promotional crossovers. In fact, 100T feels tame compared to the likes of Marshmello and Travis Scott concerts. There are still few things weirder than being killed by someone in an Ariana Grande cosmetic.

According to Nade and Hawley, their development team was able to put together the game mode in under two months. Furthermore, they stated that they hope to be able to utilize the game to help provide feedback in order to improve UE Fortnite. Meanwhile, Project X continues to be worked on behind the scenes. Elsewhere, 100 Thieves continue to have mixed success in their esports operations. Their LoL team is currently 4th in the LCS. Meanwhile, their Apex Legends team continues to struggle in pro play, as has their VALORANT team.
