Ice Spice Teases Something Coming In 2024

2023 has been the year of Ice Spice. The rapper rose from the underground to a full-on mega-star this year with numerous top 10 hits alongside Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, and Pink pantheress. But she’s already looking forward to 2024 and isn’t expecting to go anywhere any time soon. While Spice doesn’t say exactly what’s coming, she’s already teasing something for her fans to get excited over.

“Y2K! ?/?/24” Ice Spice captioned a new post. She shared two pics of herself earlier today with a vague tease at something coming soon. In the comments, fans seem to take the bait and have already begun getting excited. “THE TATTOO ATEEEEEEEE,” one of the top comments reads in reference to the back tattoo Spice is showing off. “The outfit go crazy” another fan comments. Elsewhere in the comments they speculate on new music and in particular Spice potentially collaborating with another breakout rap star of this year, Sexyy Red. Last week, the Grammys announced their nominations for the 2024 edition of the show. Ice Spice found herself among the nominees for the very first time. The breakout artist scored four nominations including Best New Artist, two for her Nicki Minaj collab “Barbie World” and another for her Taylor Swift collab “Karma.” She took to Instagram to share her excitement with fans in an adorable announcement where they poured out love for her in the comments.

Last month, she was once again on Instagram celebrating her major come-up. She reached 10 million Instagram followers in late October which serves as a signifier of just how quickly she’s grown as an artist. Cardi B Hints At Dropping New Music Before The End Of The Year: “I Feel Like I Gotta Talk My S*** A Little Bit”

2018 was Cardi B’s coming-out party. Her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, was a commercial and critical success. Winning Best Rap Album at the 61st GRAMMYs over records like ASTROWORLD, Swimming, Daytona, and Victory Lap, was a massive upset pick. Most bashed the voters for picking this over what are considered to be four classic records. However, Cardi’s tape was so massive in terms of the numbers. There were tons of radio hits on it like “I Like It,” Bartier Cardi,” and “Bodak Yellow.”

However, after that, things began to slow down a bit for the New Yorker. Her singles, while still doing streaming numbers, were a bit lackluster to many. Easily, the most memorable of the ones after Invasion was “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion. Even that song faced a lot of criticism for its ridiculousness. Cardi might not be as in-demand as she was a couple of years ago, but she might be coming back with a vengeance. For some people, it might be cause her biggest competition is nearing the release of her new album.

Nicki Minaj’s eagerly-awaited Pink Friday 2, is supposedly dropping on her birthday, December 8. The masses are excited for that record, but Cardi feels that she has been slighted. She expressed this in the video above, hinting that new music might be out before 2023 comes to a close. Cardi seems to be debating with herself if she wants to drop anything, however, a statement toward the end of the audio clip was very telling. “I feel like I gotta talk my s*** a little bit.” That could mean anything and some feel it is because of the Queen. It could also be a reference to the fans on Twitter dragging her for her “low work ethic.” It will be something to watch unfold over the next couple of weeks for sure.

Jack Harlow has to be one of the most easy-going and likable figures in the hip-hop world. While true aficionados might think he is a bit cheesy, his last record proved quite the opposite. His surprise album Jackman. saw him take a more raw approach dipping his toes closer toward conscious rap. He ditched the bright lights and radio-friendly hits for emotional and more lyrical cuts. While the sales were not there, it was still a great listen and we think it is peaking more interest around Jack.

He seems to be getting ready to ramp up the hype around him once again after a video has been making its rounds. If you check out the Instagram post below, Jack looks to possibly be filming a music video for an upcoming single. What is interesting about this snippet is that it seems to sample Lil Wayne and Drake’s classic from Take Care, “The Motto.” There is no word on a title or when it will be dropping but it sounds like he is going back to the pop rap sound.

On top of this buzz, he is also getting shoutouts from the newly elected Kentucky governor. According to Billboard, Andy Beshear, a Democrat, won the election yesterday. It was a surprise, seeing as the state is usually Republican. In his winning and impassioned speech, he shouted out the Louisville native. “A choice to reject Team R or Team D, and to state clearly that we are one Team Kentucky. A choice of Jack Harlow over Sarah Huckabee Sanders.” Sarah was endorsing the Trump-backed Daniel Cameron which is why Beshear said it this way. Andy and Jack’s relationship dates back to 2022 and they have remained in touch since then.

Even though Nicki Minaj had to delay the release date of her upcoming comeback album, Pink Friday 2, it seems like that just built up even more anticipation for it. Moreover, it’s also probable that she wants to keep feeding fans more content in order to make up for this. With this in mind, the Trinidadian MC kept quite busy over the past few months with artwork teases, vinyl drops, singles, and many more teases. Still, considering all this, we still don’t have a super strong grasp on what this sequel project will sound like cohesively. If a new snippet is anything to go off of, then that means she’s going to bring the bangers in full force.

Furthermore, her latest song snippet- which joins the heap of others– is a hard-hitting and boisterous trap track. Of course, we wouldn’t really expect Nicki Minaj to be anything less than brag-heavy on a record, because she’s definitely earned that respect. Regardless, it’s refreshing to hear her fiery verses over heavy bass and sharp snares that could turn up any club setting. One recommendation, though: some of the bars here need a little more work if the 40-year-old wants to truly impress.

Right now we really do not have a good idea about which teams will make it, but we do know who the Halftime Show performer will be. That is R&B superstar, Usher.

We got this news back toward the end of September and it came in the midst of his residency in Las Vegas. There might have been certain people in the building and they saw that he could still get a crowd rowdy. Jay-Z asked him to perform and Usher was naturally thrilled for the opportunity. He recalled this during a recent Billboard interview. During the chat, Usher said this has been an ongoing process for him. It really began when his music career was getting off its feet.

On top of revealing that he is going to play his hits, there could be someone else joining him onstage. “I’ve also collaborated with a lot of people in the process, so… there’s a celebration there. … I just gave it all to you. Kanye West Shares Surprising New Music Snippet At Fashion Show In London

Kanye West’s travels around Europe unlocked something in him, for better or worse considering his recent controversies. Regardless, fans went wild when they heard new reports that Yeezy is working on a new album, which seems to be manifesting. Moreover, he recently previewed new music at the Mowalola SS 2024 Fashion Show in London, and it sounds a tad different to what you might expect. Of course, this isn’t the first time that he worked with trap aesthetics- very far from it, in fact. Still, given suggestions that the 46-year-old is working with older sounds, it struck some fans as an interesting misdirection.

Whether that’s actually the case or we’re getting more of the same Donda 2 filler remains to be seen. Either way, fans split up into two different camps: those who want to hear what Ye does and those who are more interested in what Ye says. As revered as Kanye West’s production is, it’s no surprise that many fans will more closely scrutinize the lyrical content given his antisemitic rhetoric. With lines like “P***y like a Steph three, straight water / Baby, what’s the killer price? Kevin Costner,” it seems like we’ll only find out where he’s going when (or rather, if) the project drops.

Another aspect to consider is how relatively low-profile the Chicago MC has been as a result of all of this. Most of the media’s recent coverage around him concerns his relationship and often provocative fit-matching with Bianca Censori. Their travels around Italy netted them a lot of controversy for their actions and public displays. They recently stopped by Germany, too, so it seems that their European travels are taking them everywhere.

Meanwhile, if there really is a rollout cycle here, history suggests that we’re still very far from an album. Yandhi‘s promised and then canceled drop, plus the heap of examples before and after it, created a hole in many fans’ hearts. The difference here, though, is that there’s a lot more at stake, and even an MBTDF moment won’t erase his abhorrent actions. Kodak Black Previews New Track In San Diego

Fans get ready – there’s a new Kodak Black track on the way. The Florida rapper was performing in San Diego and treated the audience to a preview of a brand-new song. No word on what the song is called or when it’s dropping but the clips posted online tease a heavy beat and some classic Kodak flows. So far this year, Kodak has dropped seven singles. Two of them, “King Snipe” and “Angel Pt. 1”, both charted on the Billboard Hot 100. “King Snipe”, which featured Gucci Mane, peaked at #100 and “Angel Pt. 1”, which was from the Fast X soundtrack, peaked at #65. Furthermore, “Hvn on Earth” featuring Lil Tecca, hit #19 on the Bubbling Under 100.

However, Black has also been making headlines back in his home state of Florida. Last weekend, the 26-year-old ran out with the FAU Owls, waving to the crowd with gusto ahead of the Owls’ season opener against FCS school Monmouth. Black was born and raised in Pompano Beach, which lies about eight miles south of FAU’s stadium in Boca Raton. Black remained on the sideline to watch FAU score a strong victory over the CAA side. FAU took the game 42-20 thanks to a handful of big performances. QB Casey Thompson threw for 280 yards and five touchdowns. Meanwhile, RB Larry McCammon added 125 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Elsewhere, WR Tony Johnson was Thompson’s primary target through the air, putting up 91 yards and two touchdowns. That included a magnificent 72-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

FAU will look to continue their momentum against Ohio next week. The Bobcats are 1-1 after a loss to San Jose State and a win against Long Island. However, the rest of September will prove fairly challenging for the Owls. After Ohio, they travel to Death Valley to face #9 Clemson. After that, they have another road game against Illinois. Given their place in the AAC, FAU may have to face another ranked team in Tulane later in the season. But for now, the Owls and Kodak Black can enjoy a very strong start to their season.

Conversely, it could also be the other way around, which is even more exciting to continue breaking BIA through to larger audiences. On her social media, she posted a video of her listening to Minaj’s upcoming single “Last Time I Saw You,” further fueling team-up speculation.

Furthermore, this would follow a pretty solid and consistent rapport up until this point, even if it’s just two officially released songs. The first is a remix of BIA’s song “WHOLE LOTTA MONEY” featuring the 40-year-old. In addition, the two also share verses on the remix of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl,” which features a wealth of other femcees. Either way you slice it, there’s a lot of potential for another link-up to yield fireworks for both artists.

In a new clip, they all teased an upcoming podcast episode where they will all sit down and talk about the game, their history, and probably a lot more. All in all, it’s quite exciting news not just for fans of this kind of content, but for people who want to see more beefs get squashed in rap music.

After all, it’s a phenomenon that social media has taken full advantage of through clout-chasing and how it boosts sales. In fact, it’s been a common trend for feuds to raise album sales and interest in artists for generations, so it’s not new by any means. When responding to a fan anticipating a culture shift, Nicki evoked Daenerys Targaryen and proclaimed that she’s not stopping the wheel; she’s breaking it.
