Usher Tantalizes Fans With Possible Guest Appearances For Super Bowl Halftime Show, Says He Has Been Prepping For “30 Years”

It is crazy to think we are already halfway through the 2023-2024 NFL season. Before we know it, Super Bowl LVIII will be upon us, and hopefully, it will be another great matchup. Right now we really do not have a good idea about which teams will make it, but we do know who the Halftime Show performer will be. That is R&B superstar, Usher.

We got this news back toward the end of September and it came in the midst of his residency in Las Vegas. There might have been certain people in the building and they saw that he could still get a crowd rowdy. Jay-Z asked him to perform and Usher was naturally thrilled for the opportunity. He recalled this during a recent Billboard interview. During the chat, Usher said this has been an ongoing process for him. It really began when his music career was getting off its feet.

“The preparation didn’t start within the last two years of performing in Las Vegas. It really started 30 years ago, and my commitment to it and the journey that I’ve taken musically is why I think I’m given that moment.” It is certainly a special full-circle type of accomplishment, but he also had some other exciting tidbits to share. On top of revealing that he is going to play his hits, there could be someone else joining him onstage. “I’ve also collaborated with a lot of people in the process, so… there’s a celebration there. … I just gave it all to you. You gotta decode it.” That could be literally anyone and we cannot wait to check it out on February 11.

What are your initial thoughts on Usher teasing some possible guests for his Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show? Will this be the greatest performance of all time? Metro Boomin Reveals Desire To Work With Jay-Z And Others

Metro Boomin might have the most decorated career of any rap producer ever. 2016 is when the empire began to build its foundation. The first project that got things started for Young Metro was the brief and dark collaboration project with him and 21 Savage. Savage Mode set the tone for the rest of the rapper’s career for the type of lane he was going to operate in. Additionally, though, for Metro, it displayed that he can create an interesting listen with him behind the scenes from front to back. In 2017, he rattled off three projects. One with NAV, Offset and 21, and Big Sean at the end of that year.

2018 saw his sophomore album drop, NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES. This project expanded and diversified his soundscapes further than they had ever been before. Metro and 21 put out their fiery sequel to Savage Mode, and then, late 2022 and early 2023 came around. HEROES & VILLAINS and his soundtrack for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse are his biggest projects yet. This truly solidified him as a legend and possibly the greatest trap producer of all time. All of these albums have led him to work with some incredible talents like Future, Young Thug, Travis Scott, and more. However, there is one that he needs to get in the studio with as soon as possible.

A post shared by Young Metro 3 Times 💔 (@metroboomin)

He recently was the cover artist for the latest Billboard magazine issue and he sat down with them to discuss a whole bunch of things. One nugget that AllHipHop uncovered was Boomin’s urge to work with arguably the greatest MC ever. He also lists off some other names from other genres. “I still really want to do something with Justin Timberlake. “I need to work with Miguel.” But, the biggest name of them all was Hov. Metro said, “I still haven’t worked with Jay-Z.” While Jay does not usually rap over more contemporary sounds, it is hard to deny how incredible this could possibly sound.

What are your initial thoughts on Metro Boomin’s interview with Billboard saying he wants to work with Jay-Z and more? Do you think this will ever happen? Would it be the greatest rap track of all time? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. VVSNCE Says Latto Refused To Work With Her After Free Features For Females Comments

Latto has had some undoubtedly big career moments lately, though they’re unfortunately being overshadowed by drama. Earlier this month she shared her first single of 2023, “Lottery,” which finds her taking a well-received venture into pop music. What listeners aren’t loving, however, is her decision to work with controversial producer Dr. Luke on the track.

While the hate comments poured in last week, the 777 artist made it known that she wasn’t bothered by twerking along to the LU KALA-assisted bop in her pyjamas. The debut of Latto’s Billboard cover photo provided a moment of relief for the rap diva, though it didn’t last long. Over the weekend, one of Kodak Black’s artists hopped on Instagram to address some comments made by the 24-year-old in her accompanying music video, specifically about working with other female artists.

Latto Says She’s a “Girl’s Girl”

“My number one thing has been being a girl’s girl,” Latto candidly told the outlet during their sit-down. “I utilize my power in uplifting others on my way up. When you see Latto do a feature with an upcoming female rapper, I don’t charge them. The label got to cover the glam, but I don’t profit off that.” Last year alone she appeared on a handful of tracks alongside other women, including Chlöe’s “For the Night” and Lakeyah’s “Mind Yo Business.”

Prior to that we also heard her on Kali’s “Mmm Mmm” with Moneybagg Yo, Queen Naija’s “Bitter,” and Tay Money’s “Brat.” Though her discography proves that she obviously isn’t one to shy away from a joint track – especially if it embodies girl power – another rising rapper claims that Latto refused to work with her in the earlier days of her career.

VVSNCE Speaks Her Truth

Earlier this weekend, Kodak Black’s artist, VVSNCE, shared her thoughts on Latto’s Billboard interview. “Everybody keep taggin’ me in this shit, [I don’t care] ’bout no feature from her or nobody else,” she wrote in a repost on her IG Story. “She did do that lame [shit] tho, ‘I don’t work with new female artists,’ [were] her EXACT words. That’s the real reason she was mad at Yak! She had to pay for that song on her album ‘cuz she ain’t wanna do a song with me.”

As you may recall, the Ohio-born artist spilled some serious tea with the arrival of her debut album last year. At the time, she was pressed because one of the male features on her tracklist was reportedly giving her a hard time about finishing the collab because she ignored her DMs. Latto never identified the culprit, though many were quick to assume that Back For Everything hitmaker was to blame. Hear everything VVSNCE had to say about the drama in the video above, and check back later for any updates on the situation.

Latto Says She Doesn’t Charge Rising Female Rappers For Features

Latto recently described herself as “a girl’s girl” when discussing why she doesn’t charge up-and-coming female rappers for features. Moreover, the statements came from the “Lottery” rapper’s recent interview with Billboard for their Women In Music photoshoot series. While the Columbus, Ohio-born artist is in a high industry echelon right now, she also reflected on her early beginnings with her breakout 2020 hit “B***h From Da Souf.” Also, she spoke on the early love she got from stars like Trina, City Girls, SZA, Queen Latifah, and many more. “I get a lot of love,” she said with a bright smile. “Real recognize real.”

Furthermore, she elaborated on why she doesn’t let money get in the way of her features for a rising female artist. “My No. 1 thing has been being a girl’s girl,” she expressed. “I utilize my power in uplifting others on my way up. When you see Latto do a feature with an upcoming female rapper, I don’t charge them. The label got to cover the glam, but I don’t profit off that.” Moreover, a lot of that industry love carried over as careers blossomed into superstardom. For example, she recently remixed SZA’s track “Smoking on my Ex Pack,” nodding one of her early supporters in the game.

Latto Speaks On Rising Female Rappers On Billboard

However, the 777 MC’s career trajectory hasn’t progressed without its feuds, unfortunately with one of her idols. During the same Billboard interview and after a couple months of reflections, she spoke on her public beef with Nicki Minaj. What could’ve been an opportunity to unite against industry bias devolved into insults and the posting of private messages. “It’s difficult navigating through situations like that because there’s a disconnect. I will look at myself as a fan of someone and they will view [me] in a whole different light,” the 24-year-old expressed. “It’s disappointing. You just got to take it to the chin and keep pushing.”

Still, Latto seems to be primarily looking forward to the future. “The content I’m about to roll out is a whole fresh new leaf,” she told Billboard. “I genuinely love to see the new wave of female rap, and I’m honored to be a part of it.” Given her star-making success and self-proclaimed generosity in the industry, the celebrity is poised to be a leader as well. Regardless, log back into HNHH for the latest updates and news from Latto.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Opens Up About His Mother’s Injury & PnB Rock’s Death In New Interview

A Boogie Wit da Hoodie is still fresh off the release of his newest album, Me vs. Myself. Ever since his debut mixtape, 2016’s Artist, the New York native has been steadily working to become a household name in mainstream hip-hop.

Thanks to his melodic sound and several hits to his name, the 27-year-old continues to see success.

On Thursday (January 12), Billboard published their brand new interview with the “Drowning” rapper. During the sit-down, A Boogie opens up about a number of different topics. Notably, he talks about an injury that his mother suffered and its effects on him. During a raid of the rapper’s home in 2020, 16 SWAT officers are responsible for busting through the door. His mother subsequently rolled her ankle while falling down the stairs.

“When I seen Mom Dukes fall down the stairs that day, bro. I’m looking up to see what was coming behind her, and all I seen was a flashlight, and whatever kind of chopper those SWAT teams have. It was crazy, and I just froze up. I couldn’t do anything,” he details. The New York native says isolation has helped him to grow and reflect on his past.

Elsewhere in the interview, he also addresses dealing with the loss of one of his closest friends, PnB Rock. “When it comes to someone close to me passing away, it’s hard, but I can’t lose focus because I have to be responsible and find the balance to deal with those tough losses so I can properly help out in any way I can. Isolation helped with that,” says the 27-year-old.

His latest project, the aforementioned Me vs. Myself, arrived just over a month ago. It boasts features from Roddy Ricch, G Herbo, Lil Durk and others. Furthermore, it’s backed by the single, “Water (Drowning Pt. 2)” with Kodak Black. Of course, this serves as the sequel to their 2017 track together.

A Boogie released a deluxe version of the album with an extra song just a few days after the original release. “Needed That” features the late PnB Rock and serves as the deluxe version’s first song on the tracklist.
