Ice Spice Links Up With Coi Leray & Kali Uchis At NYFW

Ice Spice linked up with both Coi Leray and Kali Uchis during New York Fashion Week. The three artists all sat front row for Dion Lee during an event on Saturday night. Afterward, they shared pictures from the meet-up on social media. Diplo and Lourdes Leon were also in attendance.

“Me and @icespicee_ hair colors,” Coi Leray captioned a photo of herself and the New York rapper. She added several heart eyes emojis. Ice Spice also shared a series of pics from the night on Instagram, one of which features Kalis Uchis. In addition to attending the event, Ice Spice also performed at the brand’s afterparty in Manhattan’s Boom Boom Room.

Ice Spice has been in the midst of a huge year for her career. After blowing up in 2022, following the success of “Munch (Feelin’ U),” she’s continued to dominate headlines in 2023. Back in May, she graced the stage alongside Taylor Swift at one of the singer’s concerts on her Eras Tour. “I was like, ‘You f— with my project? Like, what?’” Ice Spice told The Guardian when asked about how their relationship came together. “She’s so sweet — I was so obsessed with how humble she was and willing to work. She gives me so much advice. We talk all the time and she’s so funny. But I can’t say what she be telling me!”

Actually, it’s kind of wild to think that the couple started off denying relationship rumors, and now get so much love on social media. Meanwhile, both are hard at work on their careers, with the Pro Era rapper recently reflecting on how meeting with Jay-Z changed his course for the better at the age of 17. “Get the f**k outta here,” Joey Badass said at the time. “Yo, I’m 17, and I already accomplished my wildest dream. [The $1M] came the year after. I remember going up in that elevator like, ‘If I’m meeting with Jay right now, I can do anything.’” In addition, he also explained how Hov’s book DECODED inspired him to become more independent as an artist and set his goals more clearly.

Whereas Joey looked back recently, his boo made a step forward, releasing the EP Flutter last month. Maybe we’ll see direct collabs between the two artists in the future, which would be a very exciting and fitting opportunity. The 23-year-old showed off her outfit on Twitter, rocking an all silver look in line with the brand’s “AI-inspired” fall 2023 collection. She complimented the mini skirt and matching crop top with a pair of chunky white platform heels, similar to those worn by the models on the runway. Ice Spice tied everything together with a Marc Jacobs shoulder bag and some silver jewelry.

Lil Kim’s Daughter Hits The Runway At New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week is in full swing but one of the people making the biggest headlines is also one of the youngest attendees. Royal Reign, the nine-year-old daughter of Lil Kim, is garnering widespread praise for her appearance on the runway. Royal made an appearance at the 13th Annual Rookie USA Fashion Show earlier this week. Other famous faces included Ice-T’s daughter Chanel and Chanel Iman’s daughters Cali and Cassie. Kim shared several shots of her daughter, including a black and white tracksuit look that inspired some serious deja vu. Elsewhere, Kim showed off her daughter in a white-and-purple Jordan jersey.

“I’m such a stage mom. My baby killed it. I’m sooo proud of her!!!” the 49-year-old rapper wrote on Instagram. It’s something of a full circle for the mother and daughter. Back in 2014, it was an appearance at New York Fashion Week that revealed to the world that Lil Kim was pregnant. “My little boo boo is coming! My little baby boo my sunshine!” Kim told E! News at the time. It’s not the first time that Royal has found the spotlight this year, however. Back in June, she was spotted taking in a Saucy Santana concert during Hollywood Pride.

However, the attention on her daughter is likely a breath of fresh air for Lil Kim, who has not had the best week. Kim was recruited by Ebony as the anchor of their Hip Hop 50 feature and was shot in a gorgeous satin gown. However, fans immediately noticed that Kim had been subjected to some poorly implemented Photoshop or similar editing.

“The entire staff deserves JAIL,” one irate fan wrote on social media, which was a good summary of the backlash the feature received. “More like Kim Jong Un,” another remarked. “Lil Kim looks like a Sims character,” joked another. “This is egregious. Why is Kim looking like she’s been generated by AI,” lamented someone else. As mentioned, it’s likely that with so much backlash to her Ebony feature, Kim will much likely prefer putting her energy into supporting her daughter’s runway debut.
