Julia Fox Reveals Why Kanye West Fling Left A “Sour” Taste In Her Mouth

Julia Fox is known for her breakout role in Uncut Gems, being a fashion icon, and authoring a New York Times best-selling memoir. She even recently unveiled her debut single “Down The Drain,” trying her hand at yet another endeavor. Oftentimes, however, the Renaissance woman’s short-lived fling with Kanye West overshadows it all.

During a recent interview with InStyle, Fox reflected on the whirlwind romance, revealing that it’s put her off from dating anybody else in the industry. “I mean, I think we all know what it is,” she said when asked what public opinion about herself she just can’t shake. “Dating that man for a month—one month. And that’s why I have such a sour taste in my mouth about dating anyone in this sphere. Because I don’t ever want to just be known as someone’s girlfriend. I know I’m so much more than that.”

“And I feel like that happens so much to women in this industry,” Fox continued. “They’re only as good as their partner or they can make a whole career off being some guy’s partner. But regardless, either way, it becomes their identity. And I feel like I have to transcend that, and I want to break that mold, and I want to just stand on my own two feet and not need a man to back me. I did that for years. I’m good. I have established myself, and I want to keep establishing myself. And maybe one day I’ll even be taken seriously.”

Her performance as Adam Sandler’s side chick turned out to be a huge hit with fans. Moreover, her style and her demeanor in the movie had many falling in love. Since that time, Fox has been able to capitalize on this fame. She has been working hard on broadening her media empire, and she has been making all of the right moves.

For instance, she dated Kanye West for a very brief period. During this time, the artist was dressing her and putting her in unique outfits. In many ways, it was a precursor to what we are seeing with Bianca Censori. Following this foray into the fashion world, Fox found herself being invited to every show you could imagine. With Paris Fashion Week going on right now, it was only a matter of time before we saw Fox out and about in France. Well, this weekend, she was at the Mugler show, turning heads.

As you can see in the image above, Fox can be seen wearing an incredible nude body suit with some unique alterations. There are some feathers attached to the body suit, and she even has some face paint to put it all together. The look makes Fox appear like some sort of elegant bird. Julia Fox Rails Against “Sexual Being” Label The Media Has Given Her

Julia Fox laid bare her frustrations for her Cosmopolitan cover interview. In particular, she’s tired of being viewed as a sexual object for the fashion choices she makes. “Anyone getting mad at me for showing a lot of skin has slapped this label on me as a sexual being. But I’m so much more than that — and sex is the last f-cking thing I do with this body. I’m proud of my body. Why wouldn’t I wear something revealing, really cool and artsy? Your boner isn’t on me, that’s on you!” Fox told the outlet.

Furthermore, Fox turned her ire on women who judge other women. “It just really goes to show how even women want other women to stay in line. Cover up, dress down, dim your light. Women’s bodies should be celebrated and shouldn’t just be viewed as sexual objects,” she argued. To further her point, Fox’s outfits for the magazine were very becoming of her style. The cover image sees a nude, crouching Fox wearing a baseball cap, matching stockings and gloves, and fur boots.

Julia Fox Gives Pete Davidson A Suggestion

While Fox may be tired of being pigeonholed as “sexual”, that doesn’t stop her from talking about length about the world of sex. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Julia Fox brought up the internet’s favorite topic – Pete Davidson. The model and former Kanye fling suggested that the tabloids’ favorite comedian should hire a particular kind of sex worker. “I think he probably needs to see a dominatrix. I could see him really liking the deprecation. Like, ‘you’re a little b-tch,’ things like that, I could see him getting off to that. Just a hunch,” Fox suggested. Fox and Davidson once posed together in a Barbie-themed shoot for Paper. However, she didn’t offer anything else on why she thought the experience would be beneficial for Davidson.

The interview was in service of promoting her new memoir, which is out later this year. Elsewhere, Fox has also spoken on the chapters of the book that address her time with Kanye. “I had my son, and then he want to talk on the phone a lot, and I’d have to change diapers. I bought a pair of AirPods so I could keep it in while I was doing mom stuff. It was so overwhelming and so unsustainable. Ultimately, I cannot put anybody else first. My son has to be first. It just became too much. I didn’t sign up to have two babies. I couldn’t do it. It felt like two babies,” Fox told Drew Barrymore.

Julia Fox Downplays Rumor That Kim Kardashian Copied Her Style

Julia Fox isn’t buying into the notion that Kim Kardashian has copied her style, instead suggesting they both wear “what’s trending.” She discussed her admiration for Kardashian during an interview with Vanity Fair published on Wednesday. The comments come following the release of Fox’s new memoir, Down the Drain.

“I actually really love her,” Fox said of Kardashian. “I grew up watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians and I actually liked it before they were even cool. And when people would bash her I would always go to bat for her.” As for whether she thinks Kardashian has copied her style, Fox remarked: “I would say that there have been some looks that are a little similar to mine. But I feel like, you know, it’s just what’s trending. I don’t know if I’m on her mood board or anything like that.”

As for their similar styles, in 2021, Fox wore the same sheer Jean Paul Gaultier illusion dress that Kardashian rocked three years earlier at E! People’s Choice Awards. They’ve also overlapped wardrobes in designs by Alexander Wang, Versace, and Balenciaga, as noted by Page Six. Outside of just fashion, Fox dated Kardashian’s longtime husband, Kanye West, after their infamous divorce. In her aforementioned memoir, Fox revealed the reality star played a role in her split from West in February 2022.

“He tells me he had a good conversation with his soon-to-be-ex-wife and discovered a lot of information about me,” she recalled. Fox further alleged that Kim told West that he was now dating a former “drug addict.” She, however, said that she previously opened up to West about dealing with heroin addiction.

It gave fans yet another peek into the unsurprisingly chaotic world surrounding the controversial rapper. According to Fox, it was more about West desiring constant attention above all else.

“Praise God” rapper Kanye West’s love life and intimate moments with his alleged new wife, Bianca Censori, have produced more than a few NSFW moments in the media. But if you thought it would die down soon, more details about West’s romantic pursuits are resurfacing thanks to his former fling, Julia Fox. In her new book, Down The Drain, the actress outlined her whirlwind relationship with the mogul from when he asked her to be his girl and beyond. So, what does Fox say about West in the memoir?

According to People, although Fox does not explicitly name West in the literal work, the timeline aligns with the period in which they were involved. In one passage, Fox alleged that West almost immediately had his team intervene with her fashion choices. She also accused West of treating her like “a show monkey.” One excerpt highlighted by the outlet suggested that West offered to pay for a “boob job” for Fox.

“His words stick to me like a piece of lint on my clothes. I can’t shake off the uncomfortable feeling,” penned Fox.

Fox also revealed that when asked to be West’s girlfriend, she initially declined the offer, to which he reportedly replied, “If you’re worried about me embarrassing you, I wouldn’t do that. You have a son, and my mom was a single mom.”

Fox began promoting the book as early as March 2022 when she attended the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party. The unconventional pair attended Fashion Week (and various other events) together in early 2022, though it wasn’t long before their differences, and the intensity surrounding Ye’s divorce from Kim Kardashian, drove them apart.

Prior to her book’s release, Fox shared with the press that the nature of her and the rapper’s relationship wasn’t sexual. However, as Page Six notes, she did reveal that West offered to pay for her plastic surgery while they spent the day playing card and word games. “We spen[t] the day playing Uno and a game that involves highlighting positive words in the dictionary,” an excerpt published by The Guardian this past weekend says.
