Chad Johnson Reveals Massive Price Tag Of Fiancee’s Engagement Ring

Chad Johnson revealed that he spent $225k on his fiancee’s engagement ring during the latest episode of his show with Shannon Sharpe. As Sharpe peaked his mic in disbelief, Johnson remained cool and collected. “Sh-t. When it comes to her, I don’t play. I’m opening my purse, man,” Johnson revealed. Furthermore, Johnson revealed his big plans for the wedding itself. “We got a destination wedding. I’m gonna have an open bar for you. I’m gonna have an open bar for you,” Johnson continued. This prompted a fairly lewd response from Sharpe, who implied he wanted Johnson to provide some easy women for Unc to enjoy as well.

After a little laugh break, Johnson got back to outlining his wedding. “Stay with me now. We in the Bahamas. We having a wedding on the beach. You can wear your shoes or you don’t gotta wear your shoes. But you need a plus one.” After Sharpe expressed doubt about being able to get a plus one, Johnson was full steam ahead. “That’s okay because lemme tell you about the reception. You had 55 years to pick one so I’m gonna help you. Imma gonna help you straighten that category,” Johnson added.

Johnson Says He’d Support His Partner Doing OnlyFans

Johnson is a very committed partner, and it’s something he’s shown time and time again on the show. A few weeks ago, the pair debated supporting a partner doing OnlyFans, following the news about former NBA player Joe Smith and his wife. While Sharpe was hesitant, Johnson was full-throated in his support of the concept. He acknowledged that OnlyFans can be a way to find financial stability in a world where a lot of people increasingly find a lack of it.

It’s unsurprising that Johnson would support the notion. Johnson recently released that in 1997, while attending Santa Monica College, he worked as a stripper to help pay his bills. “I used to strip at The Right Track, I used to be a dancer. I could tell you cause we family. 1997, I was in LA. My mom was out there but I really couldn’t live with my mama, so I had a place in Santa Monica. Sometimes I was short on my light bill. Them candles, light em. I used to strip. I used to be a dancer. If anybody in the chat is from LA that’s a little bit older, I used to strip at The Right Track. I bullsh-t you not,” Johnson told a livestream back in September.

Marquette Head Coach Tries To Fight Kansas Players During Upset Win: Watch

Marquette head coach Shaka Smart had to be restrained by his own players as he tried to throw down with members of Kansas’ roster. Late in the first half of the game at the AllState Maui Invitational, Kevin McCullar Jr. drilled a corner three for the #1 Jayhawks. Then , he appeared to say something to the Marquette bench as he moved back down the sideline. Moments later, the benches cleared as Smart appeared to try and chase after McCullar. However, the third-year head coach was held back by his players, and nothing more than an exchange of words occurred. Regardless of the lack of violence, a team technical was called on the #4 Golden Eagles.

The incident aside, the game was all positives for Marquette. With school legend Dwyane Wade sitting courtside, the Golden Eagles knocked off Kansas 73-59. Despite the game getting the deserved hype of a top-four matchup, Marquette led for all but 22 seconds of the game. With #2 Purdue also advancing in the Feast Week tournament, Marquette will become the 10th team in NCAA history to play the top-two ranked teams on consecutive days and the first since 1972. However, the last time a team won both such games was in 1963.

Smart Reveals History With McCullar Jr.

After the game, Smart praised his players for not letting the incident derail their focus. “At the end of the day, it had very little to do with the game. Our guys did a really good job of just basically ignoring what happened and just continuing to play, and that shows their maturity and their poise,” Smart said. However, he also revealed that he actually had history with McCullar Jr, dating back to his coaching tenure at Texas. At the time, McCullar Jr. was playing for Texas Tech.

“He’s always kind of enjoyed having dialogue with me. He probably oes that with all coaches but that probably started the dustup. Then their bench got involved and our bench got involved,” Smart noted. McCullar played three years at Texas Tech before transferring to the Jayhawks in 2022. He is expected to leave for the NBA draft at the end of the season. Smart coached Texas between 2015 and 2021, winning the NIT but never progressing past the first round of the NCAA tournament. Last season, he led the Golden Eagles to a sweep of the Big East but fell in the second round of March Madness.

Stephen A. Smith’s “Cars” Debate Leaves Viewers Very Confused

Stephen A. Smith took time out of his recent show to debate the GOAT in the 2006 animated film, Cars. The bizarre moment came after a caller asked Smith about the in-universe GOAT debate between Lightning McQueen and Strip Weathers. “When you’re talking about the GOAT, you can’t talk about Lightning McQueen. He’s tied…He has seven Piston Cups. But so does Strip “The King” Weathers. Strip Weathers has seven Piston Cups. You forget about him?” Smith asked “Danny from Wisconsin”. However, Danny attempted to push his luck, trying to argue that Lightning had more circuit wins at 28.

“I am not about to sit here and argue with a grown-a– man about the movie Cars,” Smith shot back as Danny tried to say his piece about Lightning McQueen. However, Danny tried to switch gears to the Fast & Furious franchise to argue the validity of the question, which prompted a signature Stephen A. response. “YOU’RE NOT A LITTLE KID. YOU’RE 21. YOU WOULD HAVE A POINT IF YOU WERE 7 YEARS OLD CALLING ME. YOU’RE 21 YEARS OLD. WHAT ARE YOU DOING, WEARING A DIAPER? GOODBYE, MAN,” Smith screamed down the phone at Danny.

The Stephen A. Smith Show Gets Weirder And Weirder

However, this is just the latest in a weird trend for Smith’s flagship podcast. Last week, Smith (or his producers) clearly had sex on the brain. First Smith was made to answer the question as to whether he would give up sex for a year to secure a Knicks championship. The short answer is no. However, Smith delivered the answer in a way that only he could. There was so much pained straining and an emotional speech about the Knicks haven’t won a championship since Smith was five. However, despite this 51-year drought, Smith still wouldn’t give up sex to secure another one. What made the situation even more hilarious was that the question had been posed by the prominent sports parody Twitter account, Ballcrack Sports.

Later in the segment, Smith raised eyebrows when tackling the “best sex song”. Smith’s answer invoked convicted sex offender, R. Kelly. Smith invoked the convicted sex offender. “I don’t want to bring up R. Kelly, but I think it’s okay now because he’s in jail,” Smith said in a widely disseminated clip. Furthermore, the clip has widely been met with shock that Smith, a widely-respected pundit with a national TV spot, would say something so out-of-pocket unprovoked. His answers included Spandau Ballet’s “True”, The Jackson 5’s “All I Do Is Think Of You”, and Luther Vandross’ “A House Is Not A Home”. In regards to Kelly, Smtih’s pick was “Dedicated” and after the viral clip, he reasoned that he wouldn’t have brought it up if Kelly was “still out there, getting away with stuff.”

7 Pro Athletes Who Ran for Political Office

The pipeline from sports to politics in America is more popular than one might think. Indeed, several sportsmen have taken the leap from the field into the backbone of U.S. affairs. From the popular bodybuilder turned Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger to NBA All-Star-turned-Mayor, Kevin Johnson, many former athletes have found another career in politics. Surely, that won’t end in the future, as former pro-wrestler-turned-actor, Dwayne Johnson, has been at the center of political talks recently. On that note, we’ve outlined a list of former pro athletes who have also stepped foot in politics at one time or the other.

Jim Bunning was an American legislator for 24 years, first serving in the House of Representatives and then the Senate. He was well known for his Republican, conservative views while in office. However, long before pivoting to politics, Jim Bunning was one of the most feared athletes in baseball. He played as a pitcher for top teams in the MLB including the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers.

As an acknowledgment of his contribution to Baseball, Jim Bunning was inducted into the Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1996. According to the Hall Of Fame, the pitcher enjoyed 17 years playing in the big league. He finally settled down as a politician following his tenure in the MLB. Senator Bunning was also involved in the union activities of the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA). Perhaps this was the precursor to his fulfilling political career.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is popular for many reasons, specifically for starring roles in the Terminator series, but he also used to be a professional sportsman. Additionally, he won the most prestigious bodybuilding competition in the world, the Mr. Olympia, seven times. After gaining fame as one of the most famous athletes in bodybuilding, however, he went on to have an illustrious acting career, before venturing into politics.

In 2003, after having become successful as an actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger became the governor of California through a recall election. Moreover, he served in this post for eight years. In that time, he also achieved a good number of reforms, including environmental legislation. According to a report by the National Governors Association, his government was instrumental in signing legislation to reduce California’s greenhouse emissions in 2006.

After retiring from the sport in 1977, he wasted no time in running for office. Bill Bradley’s political ambitions reached the highest political seat in America — presidency. He ran against the incumbent president, Al Gore, for the Republican party seat. He, however, did not emerge victorious. Reaching great heights in both sports and politics, Bradley was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007.

Kevin Johnson had a successful career in the NBA with the Phoenix Suns, as well as with the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, he left the basketball scene in 1998, deciding to pursue a career in public service. He remains one of the most famous former athletes in politics. In 2008, Johnson ran for the position of mayor in Sacramento, California, his hometown, and won. This achievement also made him the first African-American mayor of Sacramento. Moreover, Johnson was re-elected to this post in 2012, eventually serving until 2016.

Heath Shuler had a fulfilling NFL career where he played as a quarterback for about three years. The future US representative played for the Redskins and New Orleans Saints. Upon retiring from the NFL in the nineties, Heath Shuler focused on his real estate company for a while. Soon after, in 2006, he ran for Congress and became the representative for North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District. In this role, he was proactive and even challenged Nancy Pelosi for the post of minority leader. Heath Shuler eventually announced his resignation in 2012. Shuler is one of the most famous former NFL athletes who had a stint in politics.

Jack Kemp

Jack Kemp is another former athlete whose political ambitions also reached the executive arm of the federal government. He ran as the Republican nominee for Vice President in 1996 alongside Bob Dole, the former presidential aspirant. Before running with Bob Dole, however, Jack Kemp was a US Representative for almost two decades. During his tenure, he was popular for tax reform and supply-side economics.

As a professional football player in the 50s and 60s, Jack Kemp played for the Buffalo Bills in the American Football League (AFL). He originally tried to get into the NFL but to no avail. Senator Kemp eventually ran for office in 1970, and that began the political story of one of the most renowned former athletes to succeed in politics in America’s history. Kemp passed away in 2009.

Who’s Performing The 2024 NFL Thanksgiving Games Halftime Shows?

It seems like just yesterday, music lovers were breaking a sweat outdoors at their favorite outdoor festival. Now, the Thanksgiving holiday has crept up on us.

As Mariah Carey’sAll I Want For Christmas Is You” and Brenda Lee’sRockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” fight it out on the music charts, families are preparing for a battle of their own. What television programming will hold everyone over until the turkey is served? This year, the National Football League (NFL) is looking to cover all bases as they do head-to-head with the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. So, who’s performing for the 2024 NFL Thanksgiving games halftime shows? Continue below to find out.

Jack Harlow — Packers vs. Lions

Jack Harlow will be there to break up the tension with some lighthearted entertainment as the Green Bay Packers take on the Detroit Lions at home. The game is set to start at 12:30 pm ET. Harlow will surely perform some of his more notable hits, but fans might be in luck as his latest single, “Lovin’ On Me,” just could make the setlist.

Dolly Parton — Commanders vs. Cowboys

The next big game slated to take place on Thanksgiving Day is the Washington Commanders versus the Dallas Cowboys. The Commanders hope to steal a win from the Cowboys on their home field. The match-up will kick off at 4:30 pm ET. For the halftime entertainer, none other than country-music-queen-turned-rocker Dolly Parton will perform a medley of her discography. She may have turned down the Super Bowl Halftime Show several times, but she couldn’t resist the Cowboys’ charm.

Steve Aoki — 49ers vs. Seahawks

The last face-off of the evening will be the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. Kick-off for the showdown in the Seahawks’ backyard is scheduled for 8:20 pm ET. To pump up the jam, Steve Aoki is billed as the halftime performance. Aoki is a wiz with music technology, not such much on the AstroTurf (see his Red Sox and Houston Astros pitch). But, he’s looking to redeem himself in the eyes of sports fans with a few on-field plays of his own.

Jack Harlow is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Shaq Laments His Size In New Pepsi Ad With Skee-Lo: Watch

Shaq is someone who will commit to any sort of money-making endeavor. Overall, he is a very astute businessman. He is the president of Reebok right now, and he is even the face of numerous brands. From Icy Hot to Papa John’s, the former NBA champion knows how to get his face out there. He is worth hundreds of millions of dollars thanks to these endorsements, and he will continue to make money, by any means necessary. Quite frankly, it is a very honorable trait to have.

That said, Shaq just so happens to also be someone who is involved with the likes of Pepsi. Pepsi is one of the biggest brands in the world and they are always coming through with unique ad campaigns. Consequently, it should come as no surprise that they would enlist Shaq for their most recent endeavor. In the “Pepsi Minis” ad below, the basketball star laments about his height. Meanwhile, Skee-Lo comes in to deliver a remix of his hit song “I Wish.”

Shaq x Skee-Lo x Pepsi

“I wish I was a little bit smaller/ A mini Shaq baller/ I wouldn’t have to yell when I talk to a toddler/ I wish I had more legroom on a plane or a train, life is tough when you taller,” Skee-Lo says on the remixed song. It is a cool ad that creates the right marketing opportunity given who Shaq is. Overall, he is a recognizable face, and the contrast between him and mini cans of Pepsi is humorous. Although you don’t actually need us to tell you that.

Hopefully, we will get to see more of Shaq soon. Of course, he is always a fixture on Inside The NBA. However, there are plenty of other opportunities for his personality to shine. Let us know what you thought of the ad, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news from around the sports world. We will always be sure to keep you informed.

Jake Paul Reveals His Next Fight Won’t Make Any Money

Jake Paul is easily one of the biggest boxers in the world right now. Sure, there are those who absolutely hate that. However, there is no denying what he has accomplished in the fight game. At this point, he is someone that fans want to see on a consistent basis. He knows how to put on a show, and with only one loss on his resume, there is this sense that he can do big things. Now, however, he is focusing on fighting real boxers. On December 15th, Paul will get to fight Andre August.

August is a 35-year-old fighter who has a solid resume on his hands. However, as some fans have noted, the fight is in a smaller venue than Paul is used to. Based on his opponent, there is no doubt that the draw is much smaller. While speaking with TMZ Sports, Paul noted that this is all part of the plan. Essentially, he just wants to get some experience against real boxers. That is his goal in this match, and he doesn’t care about making money. If he breaks even, that will be considered a success.

Jake Paul Explains

“This is probably just a break-even fight for me,” Paul said. “I probably won’t even make money on it. Who knows what the outcome is. It’s $200,000 for a private jet to fly around just to get me there and back.” This is an interesting strategy for Paul and it is most certainly a risk. If he loses, he could very well end up having to rely solely on big celebrity fights. So far, his only fight against a true boxer was against Tommy Fury, and that did not end well. Only time will tell whether or not Andre is more of a beatable figure.

Let us know if you think Paul will win, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world. We will always keep you informed on your favorite athletes.

Kevin Durant Takes Aim At Sports Bettors After Messing Up Their Parlays

Kevin Durant is one of the best players in the entire NBA. Overall, he is someone who does not shy away from giving his opinion on a whole host of topics related to the game. However, not everyone has appreciated that. Some say he is chronically online. Others want him to focus more on basketball. Regardless, KD is very passionate about what he does, and that will never change. In fact, at this point, he will likely go down as one of the top 15 players to ever step on the court.

Unfortunately, this season especially, KD has had to deal with the increased presence of sports betting. There are millions of fans making parlays related to each NBA game. When these parlays don’t hit, the athletes become the scapegoats. The issue here is that it is not the athletes’ job to make other people money. Furthermore, some people are spending more money than they actually have. Recently, KD took aim at these bettors, and let them know he is not their employee.

Kevin Durant Speaks

“When I get ya paid, u don’t DM me and send a small percentage to my cashapp but when them parlays don’t hit, I’m every name in the book. Yall ain’t real,” Durant said. The NBA superstar makes a good point here. It is also wild to see fans become this bold. However, they are doing this out of desperation. They feel entitled to some cash, even when the losses are entirely their own fault. It is a sad reality but that is the one we live in now.

Be sure to let us know what you think of this philosophy from KD, in the comments section below. Is he right or should the sports bettors get a bit more grace? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world. We will be sure to keep you informed on all of your favorite athletes.

Gunna Throws Football At Rams Game, Fans In Awe Of His Skills: Watch

For someone who spent the first few months of 2023 on the outskirts of the industry for “snitching” on Young Thug, Gunna’s comeback has been incredible. Even with those he used to call close friends and frequent collaborators taking shots at him online and in their music, the Atlanta-based artist has remained focused on himself. Not only did he provide his fans with a surprise featureless album accompanied by several visuals, but Gunna also found time to completely level up physically.

Since summertime, he’s been steeping out with completely renewed confidence, and it only seems to grow stronger with each passing month. As Thugger prepares to stand trial for his RICO case, Wunna is doing his part to keep YSL going strong with new singles. To kick off November, he linked up with Turbo for “Bachelor,” and before that, we heard the fashion-lover on Victor Thompson and Ehis “D” Greatest’s “This Year (Blessings) [Remix].” Even with so much pressure on his shoulders to deliver more music, Gunna is still taking time for himself to do the things he loves.

Gunna Continues to Live His Best Life Post-Plea Deal

Over the weekend, the 30-year-old was one of many famous faces at the Los Angeles Rams game. He looked to be in great spirits and even proved how much work he’s put in at the gym by throwing a football with serious strength. In the clip above, everyone in the area cheers Gunna on after he impresses them with his arm, and the internet is largely having the same reaction. “Ni**a turned his life around,” one person pointed out in @akademiks’ Instagram comment section.

The Rams game isn’t the only place where Gunna’s been looking fresh and fit this month. Not long before his football arm went viral, the “fukumean” hitmaker shared new photos from the studio. It’s unclear what he has in store to follow a Gift & a Curse, but we’re curious to see how the YSL star will manage to top one of his most impressive bodies of work to date. Check out Wunna’s latest pics at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Bronny James Warms Up With USC Four Months After Cardiac Arrest

Earlier this year, college basketball fans were shocked by the news that LeBron James’s son Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. The news surprised many as he appeared to be in perfect health as a highly recruited college basketball player. He quickly recovered to stable condition in the days following the incident but his long-term future as a player was still unsure. One cardiologist claimed that the health scare could put his career in jeopardy.

A month after the shocking news broke though, the family shared a positive update on Bronny’s condition and his future. He was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect, which sounds scary but it’s something that can be treated. That diagnosis also came with an improved outlook on his future in the sport. They shared that Bronny could hope to be back on the court soon and that the condition wasn’t expected to threaten his career. That came as good news for fans of the USC Trojans, who are hoping to see Bronny play this season before he likely takes off for the NBA next year.
