The “Jack Goes Back To College” collection launched on April 3. Scott collaborated with three other notable brands to bring the collection to life, including Fanatics, Lids, and Mitchell & Ness. The collection consists of t-shirts, crewnecks, hoodies, shorts, and more, and will priced between $68 and $160. Greenberg’s message was not as well received as he may have thought. Most of the interactions to his statement were most saying this is the dumbest thing they ever heard. Which is a fair assessment. For instance, way back in 2015, many believed that the Kentucky Wildcats were destined to finish the college basketball season undefeated. So of course many were saying silly things like what Greenberg did today, that the team could defeat an NBA team. Long story shot, Kentucky didn’t even make the National Championship that season.

NCAA Tournament Bracket Revealed: UConn, Houston, Purdue, UNC, Land No. 1 Seeds

The full list of 68 schools that made the NCAA Tournament has been revealed with UConn, Houston, Purdue, and North Carolina taking the No. 1 seeds. While UConn is coming off of a Big East Tournament win, the remaining three top seeds all lost in the semifinals or finals of their respective conference tournaments. North Carolina is perhaps the most controversial of the No. 1 seeds.

“There was a lot of discussion, obviously, North Carolina got it. We looked at some head to heads, but overall, North Carolina had a magnificent season,” Dr. Charles McClelland, the chair of the selection committee, said on CBS‘ selection show, as caught by ESPN. “They did what they were supposed to do in the regular season.” The team finished 27-7 on the year but lost to NC State in the ACC Tournament.

While UConn represented the Big East at the top of the bracket, it was an uncharacteristically disappointing performance for the conference overall in terms of representation. In addition to UConn, only Marquette and Creighton made the cut. St. John’s and Rick Pitino finished the year with a six-game win streak before dropping to UConn in the Big East semi-final by just five points. Still, they are on the outside looking in along with a number of other disappointed teams.

The team is still desperately missing their two best players, Boogie Ellis and Isaiah Collier, to injury. No. 3 Kansas Fall To Unranked Team Day After No. 1 Purdue & No. 2 Houston

No. 3 Kansas fell 65-60 to unranked UCF on Wednesday, meaning that for the first time in 20 years, the top three ranked men’s teams in the nation all lost to unranked teams in a two-day span. Down 16 at half-time, the team rallied to beat their first ranked opponent since 2020 and their highest-ranked opponent in team history. UCF beat No. 4 UConn in 2012 to set the team’s previous benchmark.

“We kept believing, and our guys kept fighting. We got off to a really good start in the game. They have a championship pedigree. A championship program. Great coach. And I feel like guys just kept fighting. We knew we couldn’t get it all back in one possession. So what we wanted to do was chip away, chip away. And I thought we did that by halftime, and we carried that momentum into the second half,” head coach Johnny Dawkins said after the game.

Kansas Join Purdue And Houston In Infamous History

However, as mentioned, Kansas is just the latest ranked team to fall to unranked opposition. On Tuesday, the top two teams in college basketball fell to unranked opponents. It was the first time since February 2016 that the top two teams lost on the same day. No. 1 Purdue, riding a seven-game winning streak, was stunned by a high-flying Nebraska team that has started the season 13-3. It was Nebraska’s first win over a No. 1-ranked team since 1982. Furthermore, it’s the fourth time in the past two seasons that Purdue has fallen to an unranked team. Earlier this season, the Boilermakers were shocked by Northwestern.

Meanwhile, No. 2 Houston entered the day as the last undefeated team in men’s college basketball. However, they seemed unable to mount a response to Iowa State, who raced out to a 14-0 lead in the opening minutes of the game. “It was important that we came out and set the tone with the game. We talked about we need to throw the first punch, we need to be the aggressor, we need to be the team that sets the tone,” Iowa State head coach T.J. Otzelberger said after the game. Iowa improved to 12-3 on the season with the win.
