Meek Mill Voices Support For Chris Brown & Calls Out Ruffles

Meek Mill voiced his support for Chris Brown on Twitter, Sunday night, after the singer claimed the NBA uninvited him from the All-Star Celebrity Game to keep sponsors happy. In turn, Meek criticized Ruffles and told fans to support Rap Snacks.

“That’s why it’s important we support rap snacks …. I live @RapSnacksNow over ruffles black owned and taste better!!!!!!” Meek wrote. Brown explained the situation on his Instagram Story, implying that backlash to his infamous felony assault conviction for physically abusing Rihanna in 2009 caused the league to drop him from the game.

“I was asked by the NBA to play in the All-Star Game this year!” Brown revealed. “Only for them to call later and say I couldn’t do it because of their sponsors like Ruffles. At this point, I’m sick of bothering me and I’m tired of living in the f*cking past. I posted the emails so y’all could see. The NBA still was tryna get me to come and sit court side… NOT F*CKING HAPPENING.” For its part, Ruffles has released a statement denying that they protested any celebrities involvement in the game. “Ruffles sponsored last night’s NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, however Ruffles did not have any involvement in, nor visibility to, any player decisions or celebrity invite discussions,” the company said. Check out Meek’s post below.

GloRilla Thirsts Over Damian Lillard At NBA All-Star Weekend

NBA All-Star weekend took place this past weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana. In fact, this storied, event-filled, three-day break away from the regular season is now 73 years deep. However, it seems over the last several iterations, fan interest is on the decline for many reasons. A shake-up may be required to bring some life back into the festivities, just like how the NFL did. Even though the lack of effort from the players in the All-Star Game is concerning the other events seem to be keeping the engagement afloat. Namely the 3-Point Contest, it saw one of its more tightly competitive races for the trophy in recent memory. Damian Lillard emerged victorious with a score of 26 and GloRilla liked what she saw.

However, the Bucks point guard did not stop there. Damian Lillard also took home the All-Star Game MVP after the East surprisingly handled the West, 211-186. He poured in 39 points on 11-23 from three. GloRilla was most likely oohing and ahhing as she watched the superstar have a successful weekend.

GloRilla Wants To Steal Damian Lillard

She was in so much awe that she had to grab a picture with him after snagging the All-Star Game MVP trophy. GloRilla is on her celibacy journey that she started as a New Year’s resolution. However, that does not mean she cannot thirst over someone. That is all she could do on X, tweeting their flick of them together. She cleverly used the lyrics in her song “Yeah Glo!” to show she is ready to go risk it all. “Who n**** dis is? Cause I want him #GetEmGlo.” Glo might be in luck because Damian and his college sweetheart, Kay’La Hanson, divorced right around the time he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks.

What are your thoughts on GloRilla taking a picture with Damian Lillard at NBA All-Star weekend? How do you feel about her thirsting for him and why? Did you watch any of the events this past weekend? If so, what was your favorite event and why? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding GloRilla and Damian Lillard. LeBron James On Warriors Trade Rumors: “It Didn’t Go Far At All”

LeBron James has addressed the rumors that he was nearly involved in a trade to the Golden State Warriors prior to the deadline. Speaking with TNT’s Inside the NBA prior to the All-Star Game on Sunday, the Los Angeles Lakers star claimed that he was unaware of the deal prior to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne’s reports on it, last week.

Draymond Green Blames Damian Lillard For His Laughing During Fergie’s National Anthem

Draymond Green says that a remark from Damian Lillard prompted his candid laughter during Fergie’s infamous performance of the National Anthem at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game. The Golden State Warriors star explained that he was already starting to break when he heard Lillard joke, “They got you, dog.”

“You know how you start spiraling, and you gotta get out of it? You just gotta get to the edge?” Green explained to Taylor Rooks over All-Star Weekend. “And she kept going, like, deeper and deeper, and I was like, oh, she’s done. And then she starts spiraling more, I couldn’t believe it, and then, when I really started laughing, Dame was next to me, he was like, ‘They got you, dog.’ So then I really couldn’t hold it in, it was crazy.”

Manny Pacquiao Has Olympic Boxing Appeal Rejected

The IOC has refused to amend its rules regarding the age limit of 40 for boxers at the Olympics, meaning that retired legend Manny Pacquiao will not be able to compete in Paris this summer. The 45-year-old Pacquiao, who retired in 2021, had expressed interest in representing The Philippines at the Games later this year. Pacquaio had not officially announced he would seek a place at this month’s qualifying event in Italy or a second event in Thailand in May.

Furthermore, the IOC also rejected The Philippines’ request to be allocated universality places for the boxing events. Universality places provide underrepresented countries places in various Olympic events. “Universality places are not allocated to [teams] with an average of more than eight athletes in individual sports/disciplines at the last two editions of the Olympic Games. This is the case for the Philippine Olympic Committee,” the IOC explained.

Tyson Fury Postpones Oleksandr Usyk Bout After Training Injury

Elsewhere, Tyson Fury’s bout with Oleksandr Uysk has been postponed until May. Fury postponed his February 17 fight against Usyk after suffering an injury in training. “I am absolutely devastated after preparing for this fight for so long and being in such superb condition. I feel bad for everyone involved in this huge event. Furthermore, I will work diligently towards the rescheduled date once the eye has healed. I can only apologize to everyone affected including my own team, Team Usyk, the undercard fighters, partners, and fans as well as our hosts and my friends in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” Fury said in a statement. Per the British fighter, he suffered an orbital laceration while sparring.

Fury and Usyk signed fight contracts last year for the first undisputed heavyweight fight in boxing’s four-belt era. Fury currently holds the WBC belt while Usyk holds the WBA, IBF, and WBO belts. The fight was originally scheduled for April 2023, with a fight slated for London’s Wembley Stadium. However, the fight fell through at the last moment. Instead, Uysk fulfilled his mandatory WBA defense against Daniel Dubois in an August fight in Poland. Meanwhile, Fury has not fought since beating Derek Chisora in December.

Yung Miami & Kevin Durant Hug At All-Star Game, Fans Ship It

Fans are absolutely here for the hypothetical couple of Kevin Durant and Yung Miami. The two were spotted sharing a hug at the NBA All-Star Game, driving fans wild. “Caresha THIS is who you should rock with! KD so unproblematic and comes from a good family 🙌🏾,” one person noted. “Naw that was a special hug. He definitely whispered something in that ear, then told her don’t react. I’ll send u my info in the dm,” theorized another.

However, of course, there were plenty of people on hand to point out that the rabid shipping was a little weird. “And let’s not act like this ain’t just two people being cordial,” one person argued. “Damn… can’t even hug nobody in peace 🤦🏾‍♀️,” lamented another.

Draymond Green Calls Out Kevin Durant

However, not everyone has been rolling with Durant in recent days. During a lengthy rant on The Draymond Green Show, Green called out his former teammate. “[Nurkic] and Kevin [Durant] questioning my character before,” Green said. “As if you’re going to question somebody’s character about a basketball game, as if this is not real life, as if that don’t affect people’s pockets. I think all of it was really cowardly… I think they all wack. Both of them. Everyone was questioning what I said to KD after the game… This is me. I do this. Been doing this. Gonna keep doing this. Which is the same thing I said in that Clippers game years ago. Been winning championships. Been doing this. Gonna keep doing this when you leave here. Didn’t lie. Got fined a whole game check… Fast forward, wasn’t a lie,” Green said.

Furthermore, Green went after Durant’s teammate, Jusuf Nurkic. During the same segment on The Draymond Green Show, the veteran Warrior went after comments that Nurkic made during their tense first meeting since Green’s suspension last week. Green dismissed Nurkic’s comments about his volatility by suggesting that the center was just made that Green had cooked him all game. Green consistently brought up how poorly Nurkic had performed in the matchup. However, fans were quick to point out that the stat line that Green was roasting was a “typical Draymond night”.

Sabrina Ionescu Proud Of Performance Against Steph Curry, Hopes To Inspire Future Hoopers

Sabrina Ionescu had nothing but pride about her performance against Steph Curry in their All-Star three-point challenge. “I didn’t back down from the challenge and going up against the best shooter this game has ever seen — and shooting from the NBA line to show all those young kids to not be scared in doing something that has never been done before,” Ionescu told ESPN‘s Malika Andrews. Ionescu put up 26 points, matching the best scores from NBA talent like Damian Lillard. However, some clutch moneyball shooting from Curry sealed a close win for the Warrior legend. Furthermore, as Ionescu alluded to, she did it all from the NBA line, as opposed to the WNBA one.

Many fans hoped that the event would become a staple, potentially allowing for a rematch between Ionescu and Curry. After all, it was Curry who initially issued the challenge. Curry first proposed the idea while discussing Ionescu with his teammate, Brandon Podziemski. “I think I’ve got to challenge her. I think I gotta bring her out, we gotta settle this once and for all,” Curry told his rookie teammate. The veteran three-point star was referring to the fact that Ionescu had sunk 37 threes at last year’s WNBA All-Star Game. That surpassed Curry’s own All-Star Weekend record of 31.

Who Is Sabrina Ionescu?

Sabrina Ionescu is one of the hottest stars in the WNBA. She carved a legendary individual career for herself at Oregon, winning National Player of the Year in 2020 and finishing her career as the only NCAA player in history with 2000 points, 1000 assists, and 1000 rebounds. However, Ionescu was never able to capture an NCAA title. The closest she came was reaching the Final Four in 2019. Oregon were amongst the title favorites for the cancelled 2020 March Madness tournament.

After her standout career with the Ducks, Ionescu was the first overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft. However, her first years in the league were derailed by injury. However, now healthy, Ionescu is finally finding her form. She has made back-to-back all-star and all-WNBA second-team appearances. Furthermore, she reached the WNBA Finals in 2023 as part of a stack New York Liberty superteam. As long as injuries do not becoming a larger problem for her, Ionescu’s star will only continue to grow.

Steph Curry Outscores Sabrina Ionescu In 3-Point Shootout, Mac McClung Repeats As Dunk Champion

Steph Curry defeated Sabrina Ionescu in the first-ever NBA vs. WNBA 3-point contest on Saturday night during All-Star Weekend. Ionescu started her round on fire and finished with 26 points. The score tied for the highest for any NBA player in the night’s standard 3-point competition, which was won earlier in the night by Damian Lillard. Curry countered by making his final four straight Moneyball shots to close with 29 points.

“For us to deliver a show like that, it was perfect,” Curry said afterward. “As much excitement as you can build in that short amount of time with two great shooters going at it. This is something we’ll remember for a long time.” From there, it was Mac McClung’s night in the dunk contest.
