Young Scooter Calls Out NBA For Saying Future’s Son Is Russell Wilson’s, Fans Roast Him Back

Future and Ciara have been split for just about 10 years now. However, the ex-lovers seem to be forever linked at this point. It has to be a little frustrating for Russell Wilson and the R&B legend to have to hear about the Freebandz founder in some shape or fashion. It does not help that they had one child together, Future Zahir Wilburn who is now nine. Future took some scathing shots at the soon-to-be former Denver Broncos quarterback on the “Turn Yo Clic Up” with Quavo. Now, Young Scooter is calling out the NBA calling his labelmate’s son Russell Wilson’s instead.

The reason for Young Scooter doing this is because the nbaonespn Instagram account posted a video of Russell Wilson and Zahir at the All-Star weekend festivities. Their account captioned the clip, “Russell Wilson and his son rockin’ Kobe All-Star jerseys.” That prompted Young Scooter to respond with, “That’s not his son.” However, this immediately backfired on the veteran Atlanta rapper.

Fans were quick to pile on him for not calling out Future not holding up to his standards of being a co-parent. “The homeboys of the deadbeats be more offended than the deadbeat himself 😂” Another similarly adds, “Umm calling him out but not your deadbeat friend is nasty work.” Other commenters who are on Russell’s side go after the people saying Scooter was right. “I’m sorry would yall like Russell to exclude this child from his other children? Imagine him constantly pointing out he was his step son while calling his kids with Ciara his kids. Wouldn’t that make the child feel ostracized? I want critical thinking skills BACK IN SCHOOL !!!!”

What are your thoughts on Young Scooter calling out the NBA for calling Russell Wilson’s his instead of Future’s? Was he in the wrong for saying that, why or why not? Was the NBA technically right about who the son belongs to? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Shaq’s Cringe-Worthy Exchange With GloRilla At NBA All-Star Weekend Might Give You Second-Hand Embarrassment: Watch

While GloRilla was busy falling head over heels for Damian Lillard, Shaq was seemingly in awe of the Memphis rapper. NBA All-Star weekend was another dud for many people, but a little less so for the Milwaukee Bucks point guard. He wound up taking home the trophy for the highly competitive 3-Point Contest. Dame actually became the first to repeat since the outings in 2007 and 2008. Then, on Sunday, he would go on to take the 73rd All-Star Game MVP with a 39-point performance. GloRilla certainly felt some type of way because she was eager to snag a picture with the decorated player. She was thirsting hard for him, tweeting, “Who n**** dis is? Cause I want him #GetEmGlo.”

Love was seemingly in the air all weekend long as Shaq was making sure GloRilla knew his feelings about her. His admiration for her actually dates back to December 2022 when Shaq asked her to marry him on Druski and Glo’s Instagram Live. He commented on the stream, “glo will u marry me.” Now, after that viral moment, he finally got the chance to see the up-and-comer from the South in person.

Shaq Had To Interrupt GloRilla & 50 Cent’s Photo To Say Hello

According to HipHopDX, the NBA legend was walking around courtside during the festivities. He was giving fans as close a look as possible to what it was like to be at All-Star weekend. Shaq Cam eventually led him to GloRilla taking a picture with 50 Cent, in what had to have a cool moment for her. However, it might have slightly been soured by Shaq’s looming presence. Glo was caught off guard in the moment, clearly not seeing the seven-footer in her peripheral. He awkwardly but hilariously interrupted the photo shoot telling GloRilla, “Hello Ms. Glo! You look awesome!” She laughed it off and it all seemed to be a cute interaction. But we would be lying if we were not getting a little bit of second-hand embarrassment.

What are your thoughts on Shaq’s awkward interaction with GloRilla at NBA All-Star weekend? Was this funny at all to you, or just cringe-worthy? Is GloRilla making a mini comeback this year? What was your favorite moment from the events this past weekend? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. GloRilla Thirsts Over Damian Lillard At NBA All-Star Weekend

NBA All-Star weekend took place this past weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana. In fact, this storied, event-filled, three-day break away from the regular season is now 73 years deep. However, it seems over the last several iterations, fan interest is on the decline for many reasons. A shake-up may be required to bring some life back into the festivities, just like how the NFL did. Even though the lack of effort from the players in the All-Star Game is concerning the other events seem to be keeping the engagement afloat. Namely the 3-Point Contest, it saw one of its more tightly competitive races for the trophy in recent memory. Damian Lillard emerged victorious with a score of 26 and GloRilla liked what she saw.

However, the Bucks point guard did not stop there. Damian Lillard also took home the All-Star Game MVP after the East surprisingly handled the West, 211-186. He poured in 39 points on 11-23 from three. GloRilla was most likely oohing and ahhing as she watched the superstar have a successful weekend.

GloRilla Wants To Steal Damian Lillard

She was in so much awe that she had to grab a picture with him after snagging the All-Star Game MVP trophy. GloRilla is on her celibacy journey that she started as a New Year’s resolution. However, that does not mean she cannot thirst over someone. That is all she could do on X, tweeting their flick of them together. She cleverly used the lyrics in her song “Yeah Glo!” to show she is ready to go risk it all. “Who n**** dis is? Cause I want him #GetEmGlo.” Glo might be in luck because Damian and his college sweetheart, Kay’La Hanson, divorced right around the time he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks.

What are your thoughts on GloRilla taking a picture with Damian Lillard at NBA All-Star weekend? How do you feel about her thirsting for him and why? Did you watch any of the events this past weekend? If so, what was your favorite event and why? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Steph Curry Outscores Sabrina Ionescu In 3-Point Shootout, Mac McClung Repeats As Dunk Champion

Steph Curry defeated Sabrina Ionescu in the first-ever NBA vs. WNBA 3-point contest on Saturday night during All-Star Weekend. Ionescu started her round on fire and finished with 26 points. The score tied for the highest for any NBA player in the night’s standard 3-point competition, which was won earlier in the night by Damian Lillard. Curry countered by making his final four straight Moneyball shots to close with 29 points.

“For us to deliver a show like that, it was perfect,” Curry said afterward. “As much excitement as you can build in that short amount of time with two great shooters going at it. This is something we’ll remember for a long time.” From there, it was Mac McClung’s night in the dunk contest.

The Osceola Magic guard became one of the few players in NBA history to repeat as a dunk contest champion. Zach LaVine, Nate Robinson, Jason Richardson, and Michael Jordan are the only other players to ever win two dunk contests in a row. To do so, he defeated Jaylen Brown in the final round with a 50-point dunk over Shaquille O’Neal. Check out highlights from the night below.

Machine Gun Kelly And Shaq ‘DJ Diesel’ O’Neal Will Help Tip-Off NBA All-Star Weekend By Performing

Basketball fans are in for a treat, as Machine Gun Kelly and Shaquille O’Neal (also known for his musical side as DJ Diesel) will be helping to kick off the NBA All-Star Weekend 2024 with some performances. They will take the stage on Thursday, February 15 at The Indiana Convention Center as part of the celebrations. As someone who got to see Shaq do a DJ set a few years ago, the crowd is really in for a wild time.

Those who are interested in getting tickets and have an American Express will be able to participate in the presale, which is currently open and will close tomorrow, February 8 at 12:59 p.m. ET. Only a maximum of four free tickets can be reserved, but Ticketmaster appears to be limiting the quantity and access — so it’s unclear if they’ve sold out of the presale at the moment.

If you did manage to secure tickets to the NBA on TNT American Express Road Show event, AmEx cardholders will receive access to a priority lane for faster entry into the venue. As part of the Road Show experience, there will also be photo opportunities and fan competitions with Shaq, Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith, according to a press release.

For those at home, it will start playing at 7 p.m. on TNT.

Meanwhile, the NBA also announced the rosters for the All-Star Celebrity Game today, and it includes 50 Cent and Lil Wayne as coaches, as well as Anuel AA, Walker Hayes, SiR, Jennifer Hudson, and AJ McLean playing.

More information about the NBA on TNT American Express Road Show featuring MGK and O’Neal can be found here.

Kevin Garnett Rap Battle Suggestion For NBA

Kevin Garnett has seen and done it all in the NBA. The former NBA champion is now wondering if the NBA continue to grow its audience. The former Minnesota Timberwolves star has an excellent idea for the NBA. Garnett believes it is the perfect time for the NBA to introduce a rap battle. Many of today’s stars even have recorded albums. Including Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard. However, Garnett’s proposal doesn’t just involve bragging rights. But a cool cash prize as well.

On a recent episode of KG Certified, Garnett went into detail on his latest idea. “I think it’s over 20 rap labels in our league owned by players that you wouldn’t even know… I’m telling Adam Silver, on the Friday night right after the Rookie game, million-dollar purse. You gon’ take 10 rappers they gon’ sign up themselves [and] you gon’ do four rounds and then two at the end and then one win the million.” The proposed cash prize would definitely bring participants to the battle.

Kevin Garnett Wants Rap Battle For All-Star Weekend

Garnett’s idea is a fresh concept that could bolster viewership for the All-Star Weekend. The weekend is filled with plenty on the court events. Including the celebrity game, three-point shootout, skills challenge, and dunk contest. Adding an element that brings a culture to the weekend would be exciting for fans of both rap and basketball. Also, seeing the potential of an NBA star missing the mark during his set would be can’t miss television. The idea would also give fans another reason to make the trip to All-Star Weekend.

Garnett’s latest idea is a great thought in improving the relationship between musicians and athletes. Often times, musicians are the ones sitting in the front row. While athletes dream of being famous musicians. Maybe the league could even bring in stars of the rap game to be celebrity voters on the rap challenge. What are your thoughts on Kevin Garnett’s potential rap battle challenge? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here at HNHH.

LeBron James Greets Kobe Bryant’s Daughters At NBA All-Star Game

LeBron James recently hung out with Kobe Bryant’s daughters at the 2023 NBA All-Star Game. Moreover, Team LeBron faced Team Giannis on the court, but they all still had some time for less competitive fun. Furthermore, Natalia, Bianka and Capri Bryant sat courtside during the match, and photographers and videographers captured a sweet moment they had with LeBron. With it being three years since Kobe and Gigi’s tragic passing, it still stings to see their family enjoy life without them. However, it’s even more heartwarming to see them celebrate his life and continue bonding with players.

Of course, James honors Kobe everywhere he goes. Not only does he continue his legacy as a dominant player (especially now on Bryant’s L.A. team), but he keeps his memory alive in other ways. For example, a couple of years ago, the 38-year-old posted a painting in his home of Kobe Bryant and the late Crenshaw rap legend Nipsey Hussle. “Wit me every single day when walking my hallways,” the star player wrote in his post’s caption. “[Flag Emoji x Snake Emoji] Continues to live on!” Also, James reflected on how Mamba’s passing continues to affect his Lakers team’s mentality.

LeBron James With The Bryant Daughters

“Man, it’s a saying that time heals all,” he remarked back in 2021. “And as devastating and as tragic as it was and still is to all of us involved with it, only time. And it takes time. Everyone has their own grieving process.” Also, teammate Anthony Davis added his own shock. “As we approach his one-year anniversary, it saddens our hearts to actually come to the realization that he’s gone,” Davis went on. “I know I still have trouble with it, you still just can’t believe it.”

Meanwhile, Kobe and LeBron are two of the highest-scoring members in the league, with LeBron recently becoming the NBA’s all-time scorer. As he acknowledged his impressive feat, he recognized that his family, especially his wife Savannah, deserve the credit as well. “She’s the real MVP. She’s actually the All-Time leading scorer,” he remarked a little over a week ago. Along that same vein, Bryant also thanked his family, wife, and children for everything they gave him. Stick around on HNHH for the latest on LeBron James, the Bryant family, and NBA All-Star Weekend.

Jayson Tatum Named All-Star Game Kobe Bryant MVP: “Means The World To Me”

Jayson Tatum set an All-Star Game record with 55 points to win the MVP award, which has been named after his idol, Kobe Bryant. In doing so, Tatum led Team Giannis to a 184-175 victory over Team LeBron. Tatum truly took over after the start of the second half, scoring 27 of his 55 points in the third quarter. He ended the game shooting 22-for-31 from the field with 10 rebounds and six assists. The previous record for most points scored in the All-Star game was 52, as held by Anthony Davis since 2017.

“It means the world to me,” he told reporters. “… Everybody knows how much [Kobe] meant to me. My favorite player, my idol. So it’s an honor to take this home.” Tatum has been vocal about the impact Bryant had on him for years. Bryant won the award himself a total of three times, in 2002, 2007, and 2011. The legendary Los Angeles Lakers star died in a helicopter crash in January 2020, alongside his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna.

Earlier in the night, the league celebrated LeBron James for setting the new all-time scoring record after surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, earlier this month. They played a video from Jay-Z to congratulate James. “Being able to perform at a high level for a long period of time, that’s excellence,” Jay-Z said. “Long after you’re gone, people may look at your name and like, ‘That’s what greatness is. There’s not many you can compare LeBron to. A 19-time All-Star, a remarkable feat. The all-time leading scorer, all-time! I mean, what can you say? He’s been through many iterations of the game and in each era, he’s been the best. ‘The Chosen One’ and that’s it.” James ended up injuring his finger during the game, but says he’ll “be fine.” He has until Thursday night, when the team takes on the Golden State Warriors, to be ready.

Jay-Z Honors LeBron James Ahead Of All-Star Game

Jay-Z paid tribute to LeBron James ahead of the 2023 NBA All-Star Game. The legendary Los Angeles Lakers star recently passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA’s all-time scorer. Jay-Z spoke about his “excellence” during a video played for Sunday night’s game in Salt Lake City, Utah.

‘The Chosen One’ and that’s it.”

Jay-Z’s Tribute

Jay-Z added that he’s excited to see the rest of the players take the court as well. “The players, they’re super excited to play with one another,” he said. “The league is in a great place right now. Every team has major stars, amazing, amazing performers.”

LeBron James passed Abdul-Jabbar’s record earlier this month during a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. At the time, a number of celebrities congratulated James including Drake, Magic Johnson, and more.

James ended up being injured during the All-Star Game after going up for a block attempt early in the second quarter. He finished with 13 points on 6-of-11 shooting and four assists. The status of his finger is unclear at this point, although James says he’ll be fine. “I’ll be fine. I don’t think it’s too much to worry about,” he said afterward. The Lakers’ next game will be Thursday against the Golden State Warriors at Crypto.com Arena. The team is ranked 13th in the Western Conference at 27-32. As for the rest of the All-Star Game, Team Giannis defeated Team LeBron 184-175. Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum was named the Kobe Bryant All-Star Game MVP. He finished with a record-breaking 55-points on 22-for-31 from the field with 10 rebounds and six assists. Post Malone and 21 Savage also performed at the event earlier in the night.

Janelle Monáe Wears MSCHF Boots With A Twist At NBA All-Star Weekend

Janelle Monáe just stepped out in customized MSCHF boots during the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend. Of course, their style and ability to keep up with (and set) trends is no doubt impressive. As such, it’s only fitting that their embrace of the viral Big Red Boots should come with a twist. Furthermore, artist Kevin Rejtö Lowry painted the custom “Float” boots for Janelle, referencing their latest comeback single. Moreover, it’s a sky-blue background with various clouds floating over the shoe, making for a beautiful sight. Also, Monáe combined them perfectly with a sky-blue “Float” varsity jacket and blue-white shades.

However, the 37-year-old’s fashion talents didn’t necessarily translate into a high-scoring Celebrity All-Star performance. Even though Monáe played defense on their opponents while the singer’s team had possession, they still had a good time. “Nah fr that was bucket list,” they tweeted after the game. “I got cut from my team as a kid (it was traumatic!) and now I’m laughing. Thank you @NBAAllStar for having meeeee.” Also, Rolling Stone reported that Dwyane Wade (who ran Monáe’s team) told them to step up at one point. “When we down here, I need you to be ready to score,” he allegedly said.

Despite Monáe’s hooping skills, they certainly impress with their fashion every time. What’s more is that there were plenty of other people on their team who carried that weight already. For example, in almost prophetic fashion, 21 Savage scored Team Wade’s 21st point with a clean three-pointer. Their team, coached by Giannis Antetokuonmpo, faced Utah Jazz governor Ryan Smith’s team, under Fat Joe’s coaching. Moreover, Monáe went head-to-head with Cordae, Ozuna, DK Metcalf, and many more.

Meanwhile, the Kansas City artist recently returned to music with their “Float” single, during which they boast in classic, confident Janelle fashion. Came back from the future to take all y’all n***as and take all y’all h*es,” they rap. “They said I was bi, yeah, baby, I’m bi, a whole ‘nother coast / She stay in the Hills, he stay in Atlanta, I paid for them both / My face card don’t come with a limit, I swipe it, I spend it, I swear I be doin’ the most.” Check out their new track above and return to HNHH for the latest greatness from Janelle Monáe.
