Gossip outlets are reporting that Stephen A. Smith has “banned” Pat McAfee from appearing on First Take after the pair recently feuded. It’s unclear what the argument was about or how it led to Stephen A. placing a block on McAfee crossing over to First Take. The Pat McAfee Show, which joined ESPN last year, airs immediately after First Take on weekday afternoons.

However, some outlets have attributed the argument to “creative differences”. This could suggest that the two butted heads about their respective approaches to sports punditry. This remains a developing story and could be addressed by either side in the coming days. If Stephen A. addresses the rumors, it could come on The Stephen A. Smith Show, as he did with his feud with Lonzo Ball.

Antonio Brown Continues Trolling Shannon Sharpe With Bizarre Pop Culture Reference

Another person who joined in on the trend of mocking Sharpe was Antonio Brown. In his latest post against the Hall of Famer turned pundit, Brown tried to compare Sharpe to “Rex”, the T-Rex character from Toy Story. “Just can’t unseen it” Brown wrote alongside an image of Sharpe wearing a similar satchel bag to Rex. Previously, Brown had called Sharpe gay and alleged he was on steroids. It’s unclear why exactly Brown hates Sharpe in particular but the disdain is fierce.

While some Twitter users found the post hilarious, others were less enthused. Some saw the post as either not funny or simply just reaching. Meanwhile, a more vocal group hit back at Brown for going after the largely beloved Sharpe. Many commenters told Brown not to go after “Unc” like that, referencing Sharpe’s prominent fandom nickname. Jake Paul To Fight Mike Tyson In Netflix “Boxing Mega Event”

Jake Paul will fight Mike Tyson in a boxing match at AT&T Stadium in Dallas and streamed live on Netflix. The streaming platform announced the July fight on social media to the surprise of the sporting world. The fight, which will likely be fought as an exhibition match, comes in the midst of Paul taking his boxing career more seriously. The last time that Tyson fought was an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr in November 2020.

However, Tyson is not the only boxing legend Paul is coming for. Paul took aim at Canelo Alvarez after beating Ryan Bourland with a first-round TKO in Puerto Rico. “Hey, Canelo, stop ducking. I know you want it. I’m repping Puerto Rico; you’re repping Mexico. So, it’s Puerto Rico versus Mexico,” Paul said. It’s not the first time that Paul (9-1) has called out Alvarez (60-2-2). However, Canelo told the YouTuber-turned-boxer to “stay in his lane” the last time Paul made such a challenge.

However, Paul’s MVP event in his adopted island home was not all good news. MVP was forced to scrap Amanda Serrano’s Puerto Rican homecoming just minutes before the fight was meant to begin. Serrano was deemed unfit to fight due to an eye injury sustained on Friday. “She wanted to fight, but the doctor didn’t allow her to fight, because of the problem in the left eye. I assume the fight will be rescheduled and we will sanction the fight,” WBO President Paco Valcarcel said. MVP offered full refunds and promised to pay out Serrano’s opponent’s purse.

Ex-NFLer To Sell Richard Pryor’s Former Home For Staggering Amount

NFL player-turned-Hollywood-writer Rashard Mendenhall is selling his home, which once belonged to Richard Pryor, for a little over $4M. The 9000-sq ft and 2.2-acre property in Sherwood Forest has been Mendenhall’s since 2017 when he and his wife purchased it for $2.5 million. The asking price of $4.236M is a reference to Mendenhall’s career rushing yards across his eight seasons in the NFL. As mentioned, Mendenhall began a scriptwriting career on shows like Ballers after he left the league.

However, a big part of the house’s appeal is its history. Pryor purchased the property in 1976 and it would go on to play host to his famous interview with Barbara Walters. It would also serve as the location for Pryor’s cocaine-fueled antics. This included the time that Pryor doused himself in rum and set himself on fire. The incident led to Pryor being treated for burns on 50% of his body.

However, Mendenhall is not the only former NFL player who has been in the news as of late. Police in Detroit have praised former third-overall NFL pick Braylon Edwards for intervening in an attempted murder at a YCMA. Edwards was in the locker room last Friday when he heard an elderly man arguing with several younger men about their music. After the altercation turned physical, Edwards stepped in. “And then I see the guy for what I was thinking was reaching for a phone underneath the victim grabs the back of the victim’s head by the hair. And he was about to slam it down on the counter,” Edwards told local media.

Speaking after officers arrived at the scene, Framingham Hills police chief Jeff King said that Edwards “absolutely” saved the man’s life. A 20-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder as a result of the incident. When asked why he intervened, Edwards said “That’s just what you do.” Edwards played eight years in the NFL and is a beloved alum of Michigan.

Damar Hamlin’s New Tattoo Commemorates Cardiac Arrest Survival

Meanwhile, earlier this year, Hamlin received a new tattoo as the one-year anniversary of his shocking cardiac arrest passed on January 2. The new piece, located on the back of Hamlin’s neck, shows a pair of hands forming a heart shape around a heartbeat. The piece was done by tattoo artist Alexander Brenes and went viral on Instagram after Hamlin posted it. Hamlin has become a major advocate for the wider inclusion of emergency defibrillators and other cardiac equipment ever since his cardiac arrest.

Hamlin, who recovered in time for the 2023 season, has played sparingly for the Bills throughout the season. Appearing in just five games, Hamlin recorded two tackles this season for the team. Mark Andrews Saves Woman’s Life During Mid-Flight Medical Emergency

Elsewhere, the Ravens’ Mark Andrew was also credited with saving a life recently. During a flight from Baltimore to Phoenix, an unidentified woman suffered a medical emergency and became unresponsive. As onboard medical personnel feared the worst, unable to find a consistent pulse, Andrews offered the use of his diabetes testing kit. With the use of the kit, flight staff were able to stabilize the woman’s heart until the flight could land. The was first made public by Baltimore resident Andrew Springs, who was also on the flight.

However, Andrews has waived off any hero labels for himself. “In addition to the fast-acting flight attendants, the real heroes are the nurse and doctor who also happened to be on the flight. Thankfully they were able to provide the woman the quick assistance she needed,” Andrews said via a statement released by the Ravens.

The new drop includes a limited edition basketball jersey, soccer jersey, and a redesign of the Nike LeBrons. The overwhelming color used is teal to reflect the classic Liverpool away kit motif. IOC President Thomas Bach has made it clear that Israel will compete at the upcoming Olympics in Paris. “No, there is no question about this,” Bach said when asked if Israel could be banned from participating. A handful of protests have been made since Israel resumed hostilities with Palestine last October. These protests have primarily stemmed from Russia, who are currently prohibited from participating due to doping scandals and their invasion of Ukraine.

Furthermore, Bach said there would be special attention given to Israeli athletes who compete outside secured venues, such as cyclists. “Since the heinous attack on the Israeli team [Munich 1972], there were always special measures being taken with Israeli athletes. The authorities feel comfortable that the same will be true of course also for Paris, Marseille, or wherever there will be Israeli representation,” Bach noted. At the time of writing, 55 Israeli athletes have qualified for the Games.

Kevin Durant Sets High Team USA Benchmark For Olympics

As the Games draw closer and closer, more and more athletes have begun to speak on their intentions about the Games. Kevin Durant has stated that he wants Team USA to “really make a statement” at the Olympics with “40, 50-point wins” against their opponents. There are four Olympic berths left to decide for the men’s competition. However, currently, the USA’s opponents could include France, South Sudan, Canada, Japan, Germany, Serbia, and Australia. According to 40, he was subjected to consistent heckling from a white fan but security only intervened when he responded. He claimed that the security at the Golden 1 Center viewed him as the instigator.

After threatening to boycott the rest of the series, 40 issued a joint statement with the Kings. “After a series of thoughtful and transparent conversations, both parties agree that there was a miscommunication regarding the circumstances that occurred during the Kings vs. Warriors game on Saturday night.” the statement began. 40’s addressing of the heckling behind him had been characterized as “excessive standing”. Cam Newton Addresses Fight At Youth Football Game

Meanwhile, Newton recently broke his silence about his involvement in a recent scuffle at a youth football game. “It was all just words but it became more than that. It started with words and it should have ended with words, but it didn’t,” Newton told the 4th & 1 podcast. This appeared to corroborate previous accounts of the fight, which framed the incident as trash talk that got out of hand. Furthermore, Newton placed the blame on himself, saying that he shouldn’t have let things get out of hand and he should have exercised more calmness in the moment.

The brawl occurred at a 7-on-7 event in Atlanta. Newton was reportedly identified by police because of his signature hat and hair. Earlier this week, it was reported that no one involved in the fight would be pressing charges. “Neither Mr. Newton or any of the other involved persons who remained on scene indicated that they required medical attention or wished to pursue criminal charges. The responding officers completed an information-only incident report to document what had occurred. At this time, it is unknown how or why the scuffle occurred,” a police statement read.
