Another offseason, another round of Stefon Diggs rumors. Fans are once again speculating that Diggs might be trying to force his way out of Buffalo. The wide receiver has changed his social media bio to “ready for whatever”. This has been taken as a suggestion that he may be leaving western New York. However, as many fans have noted, this is quickly becoming an annual tradition for Diggs,. Despite his posturing, he always ends up staying in Buffalo.

Last month, Diggs was non-committal about his future. “I feel like I take it day by day. Obviously, there’s a lot of changes going on, a lot of things going on. I can’t really put the carriage before the horse, you know what I’m saying? But I got a great offseason in front of me to put a lot of work in and kind of build around what we got and what we’re doing. I can’t tell you what the future holds, but I’m still being me,” he told ESPN at the Pro Bowl.

Elsewhere, Three-time Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald has made the shocking retirement at just 32 years old. “Throughout my career, I have given my everything to football both mentally and physically — 365 days a year was dedicated to becoming the best possible player I could be. I respected this game like no other and I’m blessed to be able to conclude my NFL career with the same franchise that drafted me. Not many people get drafted to a team, win a World Championship with that team and retire with that team. I do not, and will not, take that for granted,” Donald wrote on social media.

Donald redefined the defensive tackle position, becoming the just third player to win Defensive Player of the Year three times. “The great players in our league elevate the people around them and Aaron has modeled the way for our team as long as I’ve been with the Rams. Damar Hamlin Surviving First Round Of Bills Roster Cuts Garners Mixed Reactions From Fans

Damar Hamlin is one of the few players left at the secondary positions for the Buffalo Bills as the team began to cut players ahead of the new NFL year. The cuts included CB Tre’Davious White, and safeties Jordan Poyer and Siran Neal. That means that barring some major free agent signings or trades, Hamlin will likely be a starting safety next season. Most draft analysts have the Bills drafting a wide receiver in the first round.

Fans were less than happy with the news. Not only was Poyer loved by the team, but Hamlin is far from an equivalent replacement for him. Additionally, such drastic cuts appears to indicate that the Bills have closed their championship window for the time and are looking to rebuild a cheaper roster for the 2024 season. Damar Hamlin’s New Tattoo Commemorates Cardiac Arrest Survival

Meanwhile, earlier this year, Hamlin received a new tattoo as the one-year anniversary of his shocking cardiac arrest passed on January 2. The new piece, located on the back of Hamlin’s neck, shows a pair of hands forming a heart shape around a heartbeat. The piece was done by tattoo artist Alexander Brenes and went viral on Instagram after Hamlin posted it. Hamlin has become a major advocate for the wider inclusion of emergency defibrillators and other cardiac equipment ever since his cardiac arrest.

Hamlin, who recovered in time for the 2023 season, has played sparingly for the Bills throughout the season. Appearing in just five games, Hamlin recorded two tackles this season for the team. However, he also made appearances in both of the Bills’ playoff games, totaling two tackles in two games. Hamlin will be entering his fourth season with the team in 2024. He was a sixth-round pick for the Bills in 2021 after five season as Pitt.

Bills Add Taylor Swift-Themed Stadium Food Ahead Of Playoff Game Against The Chiefs

The Buffalo Bills intend on welcoming Taylor Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs to Highmark Stadium with a little bit of flair. The Bills, through their food service provider Delaware North, have added two Swift-themed menu items to the available concessions for the game. The first is the Bad Blood Waffle Fries, a “2-foot display of spiced waffle fries featuring each city’s culinary specialty – topped half with Buffalo chicken and blue cheese and half with Kansas City Cattleman’s BBQ pork, cole slaw and bread-and-butter pickles.” The other item is the Karma Quesadilla – “chicken tenders, bacon and cilantro ranch in a triple-stacked quesadilla, topped with pork-belly chaser.”

“Our culinary team has again designed a great menu for the Divisional playoff game this weekend, with several new items for fans as they cheer on the Bills. We had a lot of fun with this week’s menu – adding a few new options that celebrate this incredible rivalry with the Chiefs and their star-studded fans,” said Andy Altomare, Delaware North’s general manager at Highmark Stadium. Other menu items for the game include the Kansas Bowl of Tears BBQ (“A generous portion of mac & cheese, pulled pork, jalapeño, roasted corn, cornbread croutons and pickled red onion”), Boozy Hot Chocolate, and Mulberry Meatballs.

Bills Roast Patrick Mahomes Ahead Of Road Playoff Debut

Meanwhile, the Bills have also addressed the fact that they will be playing host to Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes’ first career road playoff game. “[Mahomes has] only been here once. Bills Versus Chiefs: What To Know

Both the Bills and Chiefs finished the season 11-6 but in very different ways. The Bills finished on a six-game winning streak, which started with a win over Kansas City. Meanwhile, after starting 7-3, the Chiefs struggled to find a consistent offensive rhythm in the back half of the season. While they appeared to regain their momentum against the short-handed Dolphins in the Wild Card round, the white-hot Bills are going to be a different challenge entirely.

Bills-Steelers Postponed To Monday, Chiefs-Dolphins To Go Ahead Despite Wind Chill

The first playoff game of 2024, Steelers at Bills, will be postponed until Monday due to heavy snow expected in Buffalo on Saturday. The game, originally scheduled for January 13 at 1pm will now be played on January 15 at 4:30pm. “Now, you may see clear skies [Sunday] morning, but don’t be fooled. The bull’s-eye of the storm is predicted to hit midday Sunday afternoon right during the scheduled Buffalo Bills game. [The game will] continue to be played at Highmark Field right in Orchard Park. It’s all part of our critical efforts to keep New Yorkers, motorists and fans safe from this wildly unpredictable storm,” New York Kathy Hochul said in a public address.

However, Chiefs-Dolphins will go ahead despite reports that the wind chill could reach as low as -30 degrees in Kansas City. “There are no public safety travel concerns for getting to the stadium for fans, the clubs, stadium personnel or public authorities,” an NFL source told ESPN. The NFL has been in touch with both teams’ medical staffs and will be prepped to combat the cold weather.

However, both the Chiefs and Dolphins are not worrying about the cold. “No one likes being cold. That’s why we have temperature control. However, it does make the moment bigger when you know that it is an absolute fact that it’s going to be frigid. Well, what if as a team, you find a way for it to not affect you? To be able to go and do athletic performance in that weather, it takes will. That will comes from a passion that is deep down that has been derived while a lot of these guys started playing the game that you’re unlocking,” Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniels said. The Chiefs are favored by 4.5 points, according to ESPN Bet.

There is one other playoff game scheduled for January 13. However, it will not be affected by the weather thanks to its Texan venue. Houston hosts Cleveland in a curious matchup of two teams who have roared back to relevancy. The Browns are two-point favorites, the first time that the team has been favorites in a playoff game since 1994.

Dolphins Seeing Consequences Of Not Pulling Starters, Channing Crowder Claims

Former Dolphins star Channing Crowder has slammed Mike McDaniels and the Dolphins for not pulling key starters during their 56-19 drubbing at the hands of Baltimore last weekend. “That game, at that juncture, down by that much — 30-plus points — you pull out the starters. You fold up camp. Whatever you want to say. And you get ready for Buffalo Bills,” Crowder told TMZ. However, McDaniels kept key starters in and it may have cost the Fins dearly. Starting QB Tua Tagovailoa is day-to-day with a shoulder injury, while Bradley Chubb’s season is finished thanks to a torn ACL. That leaves the Fins potentially very short-handed headed into the weekend.

As mentioned, all this comes as the Dolphins eye a crucial season-ending game against the Bills this weekend. While the Dolphins have already qualified for the playoffs, they could still lose the divisional race to the Bills. If the Bills win on Sunday, the teams will be tied at 11-6. However, the Bills would win the division based on the head-to-head tiebreaker, having already beaten the Dolphins once this season. And, as mentioned, the Dolphins may have to fend off Buffalo without key starters.

Can Tyreek Hill Still Break The Receiving Record?

The other question for the Dolphins heading into Week 18 is one of history in the making. Tyreek Hill enters the game with 1717 receiving yards on the season. That means he needs 248 yards to set the new single-season receiving record and 283 yards to reach his season goal of 2000 yards. There are 34 248+-yard games and 11 283+-yard games in NFL history. Hill’s career best is 269 against the Buccs in 2020.

However, the most yardage from a single receiver the Bills have allowed this season is 122 to Calvin Ridley. Hill himself only had 59 yards when the teams met earlier this season. While Hill will finish the year with a fantastic season, and so should absolutely be in the MVP discussion, it will take a complete collapse from Buffalo in a do-or-die game for Hill to find his way into the history books.

Von Miller Denies Assault On Pregnant Girlfriend

Von Miller has made his first public statement after being accused of assaulting his girlfriend in suburban Dallas. “Obviously, there are things that I can’t talk about but everything that was out is completely wrong and blown out of proportion. Me and my girlfriend, we have problems just like any other couple does. But there has never been any of those things that was alleged against me. Hopefully over time, all of this stuff will get cleared up. Sometimes life just … be life-ing. You’ve just got to keep pushing and keep moving. The people who know me and the people who have been around me know my character, they know who I am,” Miller told reporters.

Furthermore, he said all reported details of the incident were wrong. “All of it is incorrect. The only thing that is true is we do have a third son on the way. Everything else is untrue. Me and my relationship with my girlfriend is the same. We’ve got three kids, and everything is normal in that respect. And everything was blown out of proportion that day. It was just a crazy day, whatever happened, I hate it happened, I hate my name is attached to anything like that and it’s just a matter of time until I can clear it up,” Miller continued.

Miller surrendered to police in late November after a warrant for his arrest was issued. Per TMZ, Miller was booked and released on bond soon after. According to ESPN, Miller’s bond was set at $5000. He had been wanted by police in Texas since late morning Wednesday. The warrat came after they responded to a “major disturbance call” concerning Miller and his pregnant partner. According to an affidavit, an argument about Miller’s partner’s travel plans had allegedly turned violent. Miller allegedly shoved her, pulled her hair, and placed his hands around her neck on two separate occasions.

Miller was previously investigated on similar accusations in Colorado in 2021. However, that inquiry did not lead to any sort of formal police intervention. However, the report of his assault by his alleged victim paints a disturbing picture. According to the alleged victim, Miller had demanded that she leave their shared apartment as a result of their argument. However, she claims that as she tried to collect her things, Miller repeatedly assaulted her and smashed her laptop. Miller, who signed a six-year deal with the Buffalo in 2022, continues to play limited snap counts as he rehabs from an ACL tear.

Sean McDermott Apologizes For Invoking 9/11 During 2019 Bills Locker Room Speech

Bills head coach Sean McDermott has publicly apologized after it was revealed that he had invoked 9/11 during a locker room speech in 2019. He said he “regretted mentioning 9/11 in my message that day and I immediately apologized to the team. Not only was 9/11 a horrific event in our country’s history, but a day that I lost a good family friend.” McDermott’s comments were first reported by Go Long and invoked the 2001 terror attack in a truly bizarre way. McDermott reportedly cited the hijackers as a good example of teamwork and communication.

Furthermore, McDermott claimed that he was called out by players at the time and immediately recontextualized his comments to them. “I brought everybody together and said this was the goal, this was the intent, and I apologize if anyone whatsoever felt a certain type of way coming out of that meeting. If anyone misinterpreted or didn’t understand my message, I apologize. I didn’t do a good enough job of communicating clearly the intent of my message. That was about the importance of communication and that everyone needs to be on the same page, ironically enough. So that was important to me then and still is now,” McDermott stated.
