Taking to Twitter on Monday, he noted that Lil Uzi Vert, Toian, Swae Lee, JID, Coi Leray, Nav, and more will be making appearances. Metro previously confirmed Future, James Blake, and Don Toliver as being on the tracklist.

Swae Lee replied to the news on Twitter by writing “Spider Verse Pt 2,” followed by a pair of emojis. JID also wrote back at Metro Boomin: “just getting started.” In addition to the artists, fans were excited about the news as well. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse writer Phil Lord previously discussed the decision to bring in Metro during a post on the official Spider-Verse account. “That’s a high bar to clear,” Lord wrote at the time. “So, for this next movie we brought in some reinforcements. This time we are working with legendary Metro Boomin. If anybody is going to be able to make something that feels like it’s Miles’ experience, that guy knows what he’s doing.” In addition to handling the soundtrack, Metro will also be making a cameo in the upcoming movie.

Metro Boomin On Twitter

Metro Boomin’s soundtrack for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be releasing simultaneously with the film on June 2. The film is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. The cast features Shameik Moore as well as Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Karan Soni, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, and more. Check out Metro Boomin’s recent posts for the artists on the soundtrack for the movie below.

“Barbie” Soundtrack To Feature Ice Spice, Dua Lipa, And Ryan Gosling

Barbie is set to be the cinematic event of the summer. Directed by Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird, Little Women), the film is set to take us to the Barbie world. While the film is set to feature a myriad of different Barbies, the main Barbie (i.e. the original pink-clad, blonde Barbie) is brought to life by Margot Robbie. She will go on the adventure of a lifetime alongside her boyfriend Ken (Ryan Gosling). The film’s cast is full of A-list talent and released trailers have already gotten the world hyped for the film’s release. Additionally, a new trailer will be released later on May 25.

Now, a pastel pink Barbie movie in 2023 would not be complete without a killer soundtrack. In fact, a film like this could live or die on its music. While some elements, like a Dua Lipa single, have been known for a while, we have now gotten our first look at an extended selection of the artists who will be contributing to the Barbie soundtrack.

“Barbie” Set To Have a Certified Banger Soundtrack

Rolling Stone got an exclusive look at the Barbie soundtrack and accompanying album, which is available on July 21. The album is loaded with talent, with more artists set to be announced over the coming months. However, we have already been treated to 18 artists. According to promotional images, the soundtrack will feature Ava Max, Charli XCX, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, FIFTY FIFTY, Gayle, HAIM, Ice Spice, Kali, Karol G, Khalid, Lizzo, Nicki Minaj, PinkPantheress, Ryan Gosling, Tame Impala, and The Kid LAROI. Dua Lipa’s single for the film, “Dance The Night”, will be released on May 25.

Furthermore, the lineup is absolute fire…with one exception. As many fans are asking, where is Aqua? The Danish pop group is essentially known for two songs, one of them being the iconic 90s hit, “Barbie Girl”. Hopefully, they will be announced soon or serve as a fantastic Easter Egg come the film’s release. However, “Barbie Girl” was sampled in Ava Max’s 2017 hit “Not Your Barbie Girl”. Regardless, what do you think about the artists announced so far? Are you excited for Barbie? Let us know in the comments.

Metro Boomin Confirms 3 Features On “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse” OST

Only a few months removed from the release of his sophomore album, Heroes & Villains, Metro Boomin has even more music in the stash. This time, Metro is joining Miles Morales in the Spider-Verse for the sequel to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The St. Louis hitmaker confirmed that he would be executive producing the soundtrack in its entirety, which means that some of his good friends and collaborators will join him on the project. The question is: who?

On Wednesday, Metro Boomin shared an update on the project including a few of the features. He took to social media where he confirmed Don Toliver, James Blake, and Future would appear on the soundtrack for Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse. With the project due out on June 2nd, we could imagine that he’ll be leaving a few more hints before the release date. Hopefully, he’ll dish out a new single to give us a preview of what he has in store on the upcoming project.

Metro Boomin Executive Produces Spider-Man Soundtrack

Perhaps, the revealed features aren’t much of a surprise at this point. In a new Hyundai commercial, Metro Boomin debuted his new collaboration with Don Toliver for Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse soundtrack. Additionally, he previously hinted at Future’s contribution to the OST, too. However, there are a few other names attached to the project that he’s yet to confirm himself. Coi Leray hinted at her presence on the project, as well as Nav, who changed his profile picture on Instagram to the Spider-Verse logo.

Speaking of Nav, it seems that Metro Boomin’s next project in the stash is the follow-up to Perfect Timing. The follow-up to their 2017 collaboration was confirmed at Festival Metro Metro in Montreal, QC this weekend where both artists performed. “Y’all make some noise for my brother, NAV,” Metro said during his set. “We got that ‘Perfect Timing 2‘ on the way, n***as is waiting on it! Wait on it! Wait on it!” It seems that there’s no shortage of new music to wait on from Metro Boomin. Who else do you want to see on the Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse soundtrack?

“Fast X” Is The Soundtrack You Should Be Listening To

Fast X hits theaters today, and the soundtrack just dropped along with it. The Fast and Furious films are one of the biggest film franchises in the world. As such, they enlisted an insane amount of artists for the soundtrack. Fast X‘s collection of original songs showcases a diverse lineup. Even the amount of genres included is practically unheard of: rap, pop, reggaetón, EDM, Latin pop, and more. Furthermore, prominent artists such as Lil Durk, NLE Choppa, Kodak Black, Babytron, Nardo Wick, EST Gee, BIA, G Herbo, and others are featured. Additionally, NBA YoungBoy contributed to the soundtrack. However, the single that he is featured on, “Won’t Back Down,” was released last week.

Considering the immense anticipation for Fast X, the inclusion of these highly-regarded artists really comes as no surprise. The franchise has established a reputation for impressive soundtracks. They’ve become known for their quality and star power. In fact, the music has always been a highlight in the franchise, and it has popularized many songs. This iteration of the soundtrack is sure to do the same.

“Fast X” Brings The Heat

The Fast X soundtrack comes in at around 45 minutes. It is pure adrenaline from start to finish, with numerous standout tracks. However, it also has its odd moments. For example, some of the songs are extremely short. “Furious,” which features BIA, is only 43 seconds long. It’s unclear why that is, particularly since the song is extremely catchy. It could have easily been expanded into a hit single. Still, it’s catchy enough to put on repeat a few times. Even with its sometimes odd features and short tracks, the soundtrack is a banger. What did you think? Let us know in the comments below!

Snoop Dogg & Denaun (AKA Mr. Porter) Team Up On “Tomorrow”

Snoop Dogg and Denaun (better known as Mr. Porter) have joined forces, thanks to Swizz Beatz, for the latest offering from Godfather Of Harlem. Since the series began, Swizz Beatz has brought forth a slew of hip-hop’s biggest acts to set the vibe for the series. Though the show actually takes place during Bumpy Johnson’s reign, Swizz brings some of hip-hop’s greatest acts to add a modern touch. Each week, the show has debuted a new single that accompanies each episode. This week, Snoop and Denaun come through with heat.

On “Tomorrow,” Snoop and Denaun tap into a higher consciousness and spirituality for a slow, downbeat record. Snoop takes the lead as he reflects on remaining resilient in the face of adversity while looking to God to give him strength. Though it might reflect Snoop’s own relationship with the higher powers, he ultimately taps into the mindset of Bumpy Johnson over his verse. Meanwhile, Denaun holds down the melodies and production alongside Fredwreck.

Swizz Beatz Brings Snoop Dogg & Denaun Together

The latest offering from Swizz Beatz comes towards the end of the third season of Godfather Of Harlem. Since the premier, Swizz continued to bless fans with a plethora of excellent offerings with a wide-range of artists. Jadakiss collided with Swizz on “Hustle, Repeat,” Busta Rhymes and Bibla joined forces on “Murda,” and Swizz Beatz returned to the fold alongside SAINt JHN, Fivio Foreign, and BIA for “Street Opera.”

As for Snoop Dogg, he’s revving up for a big summer ahead. Earlier this month, he announced that the Death Row catalog was finally coming back to streaming services after securing a fair deal. However, he also revealed that he and Wiz Khalifa would reunite for the sequel to Mac & Devin Go To High School. This time, it’ll be the high school reunion. No word on when that’ll drop but Snoop’s clearly keeping busy.

Quotable Lyrics
Straighten up the bow tie, I just wanna know why
I just gotta know my people get treated the same
See, we just gon’ beat ’em the same
I’m tired of seein’ the flames of hatrеd, take it and take it

Ari Lennox Sounds “Greater” Than Ever On Dreamville’s “Creed III” Soundtrack

It’s a huge weekend for both film and hip-hop lovers, thanks to the debut of Michael B. Jordan’s Creed III. Not only does the California native star alongside Jonathan Majors in the new movie, but he also sat in the director’s chair for the very first time, earning him plenty of praise for so much hard work. While he was busy bringing the visuals together, Dreamville came through with the soundtrack.

Ahead of Creed III‘s arrival, a handful of singles helped set the tone for audiences. We heard JID and Lute show out together on “Ma Boy,” followed by Bas, Black Sherif, and Kel-P’s work on “Blood, Sweat & Tears.” When Friday (March 3) hit, so did the official Dreamville soundtrack on DSPs, providing fans with 18 new songs to accompany the highly anticipated movie.

Ari Sounds Angelic on “Greater”

An impressive roster of artists helped out with the tracklist, though one title that stands out to us above all others is Ari Lennox’s “Greater.” The R&B diva has the voice of an angel, and it sweetly croons on this song, as well as with Omen and OG DAYV on “Talk To Me.” As she continues her tour across North America, listeners are more than happy to hear new music after all that she gave us in 2022.

Other noteworthy titles on the Creed III soundtrack include Big Sean and EST Gee’s link up on “Anthem,” J. Cole’s triumphant work on “Adonis Interlude,” and Kehlani’s vulnerable title, “Shadows.” REASON, Symba, Blxst, WESTSIDE BOOGIE, Arin Ray, SiR, and Syd also appear – not to mention Baby Rose, Morray, Tierra Whack, and Cozz’s work.

Stream Ari Lennox’s “Greater” from Dreamville’s Creed III soundtrack on Spotify or Apple Music below. Afterward, tell us if you’ll be checking out the film this weekend in the comments. Make sure to check back later for more release recommendations on our weekly playlist updates.

Quotable Lyrics:

What I’ma do? What I’ma say?
Only watchin’ you, only ex fillin’ your space
Hope you know I’m not lyin’, never felt this way
Love the way you dance for me up on that stage
