Snoop Dogg Seems To React To Drake Using His AI Voice On Kendrick Lamar Diss

Drake went “Back To Back” on the rap game again, dropping yet another diss towards Kendrick Lamar on social media last night (Friday, April 19). Of course, probably the most notable aspect of this song is the fact that he used A.I. technology to replicate Tupac and Snoop Dogg’s voices in order to rap from their perspectives and goad K.Dot into responding ASAP. A lot of folks are debating the points that Drizzy made here, the use of this tech, when we’ll get a response (if at all), and other factors. However, one question had fans particularly interested, predicting whether it would be a positive or negative moment for the Toronto superstar: what does Tha Doggfather think of this?

Well, even though Snoop Dogg published a video in the wee hours of Saturday, April 20 (and thus, ironically enough, seemingly reacted to a lot of smoke on 4/20), it didn’t really get us any closer to knowing what he thinks of it. “They did what?” he said in the clip below with a skeptical face. “When? How? Are you sure?” Then, the West Coast legend sighed and pointed to the “Death Row” stitching on his jacket. “Y’all have a good night. And to all… *laughs* Everybody calling my phone blowing me up. What the f**k, what happened? What’s going on? I’m going back to bed, good night.”

Snoop Dogg Seemingly Addresses Drake’s Newest Kendrick Lamar Diss: Watch

As such, this doesn’t really clarify whether Snoop Dogg knew of “Taylor Made Freestyle” before its IG release, whether he co-signed the track, or whether he’s supporting his fellow L.A. native in Kendrick Lamar. There are a few conflicting elements: shouting out Death Row (a sign of respect to himself and ‘Pac), laughing (seemingly enjoying the ruckus it’s caused), not really wanting to engage just yet (which could mean anything), and Aubrey Graham himself liking the post (a salute or a jab?). We also know that the Long Beach MC is good friends with Drake and that he’s on the fence about A.I. technology, sometimes co-signing it and sometimes being more critical, particularly about Tupac A.I. But he likely also has some deep appreciation for the Compton creative, so the disrespectful nature of this usage might not just be a point on the rap beef board for him.

Drake Uses AI Verses from Tupac and Snoop Dogg to Diss Kendrick Lamar on “Taylor Made Freestyle”

Young Thug Delivers "Oh U Went" Video Featuring Drake

Since Kendrick Lamar has yet to respond to “Push Ups,” Drake has gone back to back. Hitting Instagram, The 6ix God dropped off the “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

Upon pressing play you will hear something that you wouldn’t expect, Tupac’s voice. The single opens with an AI Tupac verse requesting KDot stands up for the West Coast. It is followed by an AI Snoop Dogg asking for the same.

AI Tupac raps:
Fuck this Canadian lightskin, Dot
We need an undebated West Coast victory, man
Call him a bitch for me
Talk about him liking young girls, that’s a gift from me
Heard it on the Budden Podcast, it’s gotta be true
They told me the spirit of Makaveli is alive
In the nigga under five-foot five, so it’s gotta be you

AI Snoop added:
‘Cause right now it’s looking like you writing out the game plan on how to lose
How to bark up the wrong tree and then get your head popped in a crowded room
World is watching this chess game, but are you out of moves?

After that, Drake pops in for his own slick talk:
The first one really only took me an hour or two
The next one is really ’bout to bring out the coward in you
But now we gotta wait a fucking week ’cause Taylor Swift is your new Top
And if you ’bout to drop, she gotta approve

Since “Like That,” your tone changed a little, you not as enthused
How are you not in the booth? It feel like you kinda removed
You tryna let this shit die down, nah, nah, nah
Not this time, nigga, you followin’ through

He ends the song with a message, “I know you’re in that NY apartment, you struggling right now I know it.”

You can hear it below.

Drake Uses AI 2Pac To Diss Kendrick Lamar On “Taylor Made Freestyle”

Nobody saw this one coming. It was theorized by industry insiders that Drake would drop a second diss on Kendrick Lamar, much like he did with Meek Mill in 2015, but the hip-hop world has never heard a diss quite like “Taylor Made Freestyle.” Drake writes three verses, packed with insults and not-so-subtle jabs, but he only raps one of them in his regular voice. The other two are modified, using AI technology, to sound like Snoop Dogg and the late, great 2Pac! The same 2Pac that has been Lamar’s idol since childhood.

Drake unleashed “Taylor Made Freestyle” via Instagram on April 19. He doesn’t waste anytime using Lamar’s favorite rapper against him, as “2Pac” gets the first verse. The AI generated voice (with bars from Drake) sees “2Pac” consult Lamar on how to best defeat, well, Drake himself. “If you deal with this viciously, you see a little nervous about all the publicity,” the AI voice raps. “F**k this Canadian light skin guy, we need to know the west coast victory, man.” It’s a fascinating bit of reverse psychology, and it effectively allows Drake to sabotage the easy talking points that Lamar had at his disposal.

Drake Used AI To Turn K. Dot’s Heroes Against Him

The second verse goes to the AI generated voice of Snoop Dogg. The voice continues the disappointed tone set by AI 2Pac by urging Lamar to put together a response track ASAP. “Still you gotta show this f**king owl who’s boss on the west, now’s a time to really make a power move,” he raps. “‘Cause right now it’s looking like you writing out the gameplan with how to lose.” Another withering line from the Doggfather’s doppleganger is: “World is watching this chess game, but oh, you out of moves.”

After using Kendrick Lamar’s own heroes against him, Drake raps the third verse in his own voice. He relentlessly mocks the Compton rapper for taking so long to respond after starting the feud in the first place. “Since your tone changed a little, you not as enthused,” Drake asserts. “How are you not in the booth? It feel like you kinda removed.” The 6 God gets even more specific towards the end of the song, claiming that K. Dot needs “another week” to get himself together.

Kendrick Lamar has been saddled with AI disses in recent weeks, with fans being unsure of what’s real and what isn’t. Drake using AI tech to then diss him further is a chess move that Lamar will not be able to ignore.

Pam Grier Shares Her Side Of Snoop Dogg Fainting Story

Earlier this year, Snoop Dogg sat down with Jennifer Hudson on her eponymous TV show. While there he told a story about his awkward first encounter with one of his biggest crushes, actress Pam Grier. The pair first crossed paths on the set of their 2001 film Bones and the first impression Snoop left was a funny one. “I’m sitting down and Pam Grier walk up and she sit right next to me and start talking to me. My heart beating fast. So I’m like, ‘OK. I hear what you saying, Pam. Give me a minute.’ I go to the bathroom and faint,” the rapper revealed.

Now, we’re finally getting to hear Grier’s side of the same hilarious story. She recently stopped by an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, a show notorious for sparking drama. But her response isn’t likely to upset anyone as she mostly just confirmed the story Snoop told. “I knew when it was happening. He was turning pale and he got up and he wobbled to the men’s room. I said, ‘Is he OK?’ He went in and fell down on the pissy floor and fainted,” Grier revealed. “I was so upset that they cleaned him up and brought him back out and we sat together. I didn’t know I had that effect on him. He’s such a lovely person, I just couldn’t imagine him lying in urine,” she continued. Check out the clip of her telling the story below.

Just hours ago, word came out that Tha Dogg Pound, could be up to something exciting. Numerous reports, including from us, discovered that Snoop Dogg was resharing some clips from other rap icons and current stars all asking similar questions. “Dog, I gotta question: what happened to Tha Dogg Pound? I heard they broke up, is that true? That’s what I heard.” Those were the words of Swizz Beatz, but others such as Tyrese Gibson, Flavor Flav, and NLE Choppa were sending in the same inquiries. Listen To “Smoke Up” By Snoop Dogg & Tha Dogg Pound

Snoop, Kurupt, and Daz Dillinger sound extremely hungry over the hard-hitting instrumental as they call out all the people saying the group was finished. It has the ultimate 90s feel and this one of the best posse cuts we have heard so far. After the song ends, it seems there is another snippet of some other track and an interesting outro. It involves dolls of Snoop, Michael Myers, and The Joker; yes you heard that correctly.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “Smoke Up” by Tha Dogg Pound and Snoop Dogg? Is the start of something bigger for Snoop and the rap group, why or why not? NxWorries Reveals Star-Studded Tracklist For New Album “Why Lawd?”

NxWorries are a versatile duo. Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge have worked with tons of musical titans since they released their debut album in 2018, so it should come as no surprise that they called in some of their famous connections for the follow-up, Why Lawd?. It was already going to be exciting to see how .Paak and Knxwledge interacted given the gap between releases, but throwing in legends from the R&B, hip-hop and comedy (!) world is bound to attract curious listeners.

Why Lawd? runs 19 tracks, which is the same length as the first NxWorries album, Yes Lawd. The first album had no guest features, however, whereas Why Lawd? kicks off with an introducing featuring none other than Dave Chappelle. The tracklist gets wilder from there, as Thundercat drops by on “KeepHer”, H.E.R. pops up on “Where I Go,” and Snoop Dogg splits the bill on “FromHere.” Nobody expected to see an Earl Sweatshirt and Anderson .Paak collab anytime soon, yet that’s exactly what fans are going to get on the penultimate track, “WalkOnBy.” Why Lawd? will also feature two appearances by Rae Khalil. Rae is an R&B artists who recently signed to Def Jam through .Paak’s Apesh*t label.

.Paak discussed his decision to revive NxWorries during a recent interview with The Root. He asserted that he wants to constantly challenge himself as an artist, and pushing himself to try new things with Knxwledge was an exciting prospect. “I don’t like to be comfortable,” the singer explained. “I like to push for different sounds and I feel like me and Knxwledge’s sound, NxWorries, is really needed right now.”

What are your thoughts on this tracklist for NxWorries’ Why Lawd? Do you think it will top their first album? Who will have the best appearance on the record? Will this be the best release for each member of the duo? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to tell us in the comments below.
