The release of SET IT OFF is paying dividends for Migos affiliate, Offset. After dropping his solo debut FATHER OF 4 four years ago, a lot of fans were clamoring for more individual material. The supporters of Offset certainly got to feast. He did a great job with the rollout for the project. While he did have visuals out for the lead single, “JEALOUSY,” with his partner in crime, Cardi B, it was another track that took the hype to a thousand.
“FAN” had tremendous visuals that made a nod to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video. Additionally, he gave his streaming pal, Kai Cenat, an alley-oop by including him too. Furthermore, the message of the song was nice as well. It preached removing those toxic people from your life. Then, the cherry on top of the sundae was all of the teasing. Offset’s listening party revealed some tracks with Travis Scott and Don Toliver. With everything mentioned, he really went all out.

There are plenty of things “Say My Grace” rapper Offset has to be thankful for, including his beautiful children, wife and fellow entertainer Cardi B, and his hot career. To show his gratitude for his fans’ unwavering support of his latest album, Set It Off, Offset took a trip down to the studios of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
While there, he was sure to bring friend and collaborator Don Toliver to deliver a scorching performance of their track “Worth It.” Toliver and Offset are known for their smooth dance moves, so neither is held back as they work the performance space. To bring some warmth to the otherwise cold New York City Thanksgiving Day holiday (November 23), the pair used a tropical background to warm up the chilly ambiance.
Last month, during an interview with Apple Music’sZane Lowe, Offset revealed that in order to push himself out of his creative slump with his album, he thought back on the support he had from his late Migos member, Takeoff.
“Even on my own journey, I still feel his presence and his energy like, bro, ‘We got to go hard. We got to win. We got to win. This ain’t the end of it. We got to win.’ So that’s another thing that pushed me through is my boy, Take[off], man. He didn’t care that he didn’t care about the numbers, nothing. He like, ‘Bro, y’all’s sh*t hard.’ He’s just very supportive in that. I just keep that in the back of my mind and just keep pushing,” said Offset.

Metro Boomin took the stage with Offset for a performance of “Night Vision” off of the Migos rapper’s new album, Set It Off, as well as Nav for a performance of “Minute” during a set for Amazon Music Live, earlier this week. Offset’s song is one of the more emotional moments from his sophomore album and sees him reflect on his trials and tribulations from the last year, including the loss of Takeoff.

Metro Boomin and Offset have collaborated numerous times over the years. Prior to Set It Off, Offset even appeared on the soundtrack to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Back in 2019, he discussed his working relationship with Metro during an appearance on Power 106 FM’s The Cruz Show. “We had two different rooms. So, he’s doing 16-hour sessions,” he began at the time. “I’m doing 16-hour sessions rapping. He’s doing a 16-hour-session production. And then, right before the [Father Of Four], we did like another additional 12, just both of us in the room, saying what instruments sounded fire… It’s like the old-school days. It ain’t like nobody’s sending you an email with a pack of beats, and you just happen to make one out of the six, you know what I mean.”

Apparently, he wants to coordinate an interview with her, which she isn’t opposed to at all and might actually result in a lighter conversation. However, the comedian and YouTube started off by asking about her movie, which if you didn’t know, ends with her with her share of a robbery payout. Apparently, this isn’t the best way to get the Baltimore native on board with a conversation.
“We need to talk,” Funny Marco began his direct message to Jada Pinkett Smith via Instagram. “And what did you do with that money from set it off ?” Then, Tupac’s “soulmate” responded in a pretty amicable way… at least, at first. “Listen, I don’t mind talking to you,” she replied on the social media platform. “…But I won’t be answering questions about a damn movie Marco.” Afterwards, he ended up posting a screenshot of this interaction on IG, leaving behind a conciliatory and taken-aback message. “I just want to talk @jadapinkettsmith sorry about the movie.”
