Saucy Santana Fires Back At DJ Akademiks After Being Clowned For Low Streams On Diss Track: Watch

The latest episode in the beef between Saucy Santana and DJ Akademiks turns up the temperature just a little bit higher. Over the past couple of weeks, the rapper and controversial social media figure have been trading shots for a multitude of things. What really got it started was because of DJ’s longstanding beef with City Girls rapper, Yung Miami. Saucy has had a close rapport with Miami and he wanted to defend her.

Ever since then, things have gotten more and more intense as the weeks have progressed. Saucy has quite frankly had enough of the music critic. So, the Connecticut native decided to lay down some bars for him to put the 32-year-old in his place. According to the rapper, he dropped the track exclusively on Apple Music. On top of that, there was little to no promotion besides a little bit of a teaser video, so it was a pretty low-key release. Then, Saucy put it on Spotify a little later on November 10. In the nine days it has been out, it only garnered around 8000 streams and DJ had a field day with that.

However, he apparently walked right into the artist’s trap. “We don’t care about the streams. This song was for no Billboard,” he says. The song was for the streets. And so, the DJ Akademiks and Saucy Santana social media beef continues for another week, and it hasn’t gotten any nicer. For those unaware, the two are going at each other online for Ak’s comments on Yung Miami, and it just devolved into a clowning fest. Its latest installment concerns the Afro-Dominican rapper’s diss track against the media personality, which apparently didn’t perform particularly well on Spotify. As such, the former Everyday Struggle host took to every corner of the online space to blast Santana for this perceived failure. Even if you think numbers don’t matter, this is beef: folks in it don’t have the luxury of making excuses.

“So the silver back gorilla wit the beard and the bbl… booked studio time to diss big Ak,” DJ Akademiks’ recent Instagram post on Sunday (November 19) read. “Only to make $32 off the diss song. Man yalll gotta stop playing wit me… I Ain’t into that diddy s**t.. I’m Jamaican . Stop playing !” In addition, this post also showed what else he said about the exchange on Twitter, plus a clip of him going on the track’s Spotify page to show its total streams as of recording that. For those curious, the page shows that “Meet Me in Da Skreets” has 8,290 streams as of writing this article.

DJ Akademiks Roasts Saucy Santana For Diss Track’s Spotify Numbers

“All that clout chasing for 8000 streams on Spotify in 9 days,” DJ Akademiks wrote on Twitter. “This why the city girls flopped. Y’all be thinking these ppl hot off comments on ig… nobody stream they s**t. They trash asf. [Jamaican flag emoji].” “To put this in perspective…” he continued in a quote tweet to his previous message. “1,000,000 streams on Spotify = $4000 in Royalty Payouts. 8000 streams means he earned a measly $32 from dissing me. and yall think im worried about a silver back gorilla looking n***a w/ a bbl and a beard and acrylic nails. U can’t get hot like this.”

DJ Akademiks Fires At Saucy Santana For Not Addressing Cassie’s Claims Against Diddy

Some rap beef transcends headlines, and there are always ways through which people will seek to center the world around their rivalries. In DJ Akademiks, we have a great example of this, as he continued his callouts and attacks against Saucy Santana, who kept up a nasty social media feud over the past couple of weeks or so. This time, though, it related to the accusations of sexual assault and abuse from Cassie against Diddy, who Ak previously roped into this spat with Saucy and Yung Miami. Ak thinks that the former is being hypocritical right now by not speaking up about the issue as soon as possible.

“Where that h*e a** n***a mysonne and all them ppl who was talmbout ‘Protect Black women’ when some gay n***a was talking about me and his sick r*pe fetish,” DJ Akademiks tweeted recently. “Where them ppl now sticking up for Cassie. Ohhhhhhhh.” “Remember last week everybody was on dat ‘protect Black women wave,’” he added on Instagram. “Where saucy n that clown mysonne at now.” Of course, the media personality wouldn’t be the first to rope in his beef with Diddy into these allegations.

DJ Akademiks Blasts Saucy Santana

However, this isn’t just a troubled sentiment for how DJ Akademiks is perpetuating this beef amid a much more serious situation– and the fact that Saucy’s only had less than 24 hours to say something about this case. It’s also downplaying the importance behind protecting Black women and painting out to be a fad rather than a real issue. While there are definitely some cases in which this narrative can excuse other bad behavior or when people apply it inconsistently, it remains a pretty nasty sentiment. Still, considering that Saucy Santana is spending a lot of time promoting his diss track towards the media personality, there’s also something to be said about speaking out concerning real problems and how many would rather stick to what they know or what is safe for them to address.

Meanwhile, the Diddy and Cassie case will likely develop with a lot more information and scandalous allegations in the near future. As such, people are still learning about this story and gathering the necessary context. Whatever way in which it resolves will likely be cause for even more debate, and it’s disheartening to see people not prioritizing this struggle and instead only focusing on their own beefs, no matter which side of it you’re on. DJ Akademiks and Yung Miami of the femcee duo, City Girls, have been going back and forth quite some time now. He has repeatedly called her out for lacking much of any talent, and recently, for using homophobic slurs against him. While it is hard to take him seriously most of the time, sometimes he can cross some barriers. There are plenty of cases where he just likes to cause a stir in the community just because. One person who is getting really sick and tired of him is Saucy Santana.

Both of them have been going at it over the Yung Miami slander. This makes sense because Saucy used to do makeup for the City Girls. Of course, they naturally became close and he felt the need to step in and defend the rapper. That would be none other than Charleston White. He fits the same mold as Akademiks as being a controversial pundit. In the video clips above, the last one reveals what he had to say about the latest developments about the DJ, Saucy, and Miami. One of the most shocking statements White made was about straight men supporting each other and going after the gay man. Boy oh boy did Saucy not like that. A very interesting debate just propped up in the ongoing beef between DJ Akademiks and Saucy Santana. For those unaware, the two began to send shots at each other following Ak’s criticism of Yung Miami, for which the rapper defended her against him. Now, Wack 100 got roped into things, sitting down for what seems like a podcast conversation with the commentator to express support of his own. In a clip of their meeting, the music executive boasts about calling up a bisexual male friend of his to beat up Santana for them. This is all pretty bizarre and wild when it comes to rap beef, but it’s all fortunately stayed only on social media for now, and hopefully doesn’t go any further.

“Wack 100 gets a high ranking member of the Gaygency on the line who says he’s down to fight Saucy Santana,” DJ Akademiks captioned his post showing Wack’s remarks. “Aye @the1saucysantana u lining it up or wat [crying emojis]. Saucy Santana Brings Big Energy To The Club After Storming Out During Erica Mena’s Arrest: Video

Prior to social media, celebrities had a lot more freedom. Now, anyone in the spotlight is constantly subject to being photographed or recorded, and potentially exposed on social media. It’s made infidelity far more difficult and has certainly added plenty of stress to nights out at the club. Saucy Santana experienced an uncomfortable situation this past weekend. He went out with his boyfriend, ZellSwag, as well as Bambi Benson and Erica Mena of Love & Hip-Hop fame. According to the “Booty” rapper’s retelling of events, the latter of the two reality starlets got far too drunk. She eventually began tussling with security attempting to calm her down.

Rather than stick around to witness the situation, the 29-year-old quickly fled the scene of the crime – as caught in a hilarious video circulating online. “I got the f**k out of dodge ‘cuz I don’t play that,” Santana told his followers on IG. His Friday (August 25) night shenanigans may have ended early. Still, that didn’t stop the Connecticut-born performer from heading out and bringing big energy to another venue later on in his weekend.

Saucy Santana Had One Wild AF Weekend

In a video that appears to have been taken on Saturday, Santana dances and smiles while entering a nightclub to celebrate someone’s birthday. Clearly, the dancer was in a far better mood than he was when Mena, Benson, and his man began getting physical with security on their evening out.
