Following the Fugees’ recent reunion at the 2023 Roots Picnic, sources shared some behind-the-scenes info with TMZ Hip Hop. A representative for Pras revealed that the performance came as a surprise to the artist, who is currently awaiting sentencing for recent charges of conspiracy and fraud. The source also shared that the trio didn’t have an opportunity to rehearse prior to the last-minute performance, which featured six songs from their 1996 LP, The Score. Many fans speculated that the reunion could have been the last they saw of the Fugees for a while, however, sources suggest they “stay tuned!!!”

In April, Pras was found guilty of 10 charges surrounding an alleged international conspiracy plot. Though he has not yet been sentenced, his charges could leave him spending over 20 years behind bars. “We are extremely disappointed in that result. But are very, very confident in the ultimate outcome of this case,” Pras’ lawyer David Kenner stated following the verdict. “If we do move to a sentencing hearing I remain very confident we will certainly appeal this case. This is not over.”

In August of last year, the Fugees canceled their scheduled reunion tour, citing COVID-19 as the cause. The cancelation came amid Pras’ legal trouble, leading to speculation that it had more to do with the artist’s legal battle than the group was letting on. Amid the battle, Pras has also faced accusations that he was an FBI informant. He has continuously shot down the allegations.

“Look, I was never in the past, present, or future an FBI or a CIA informant. Never ever. If people want to check it out, look at the testimonies. They could see that all within the records, and all the DC courts,” he stated last month. He also said, “This is not a Tekashi 6ix9ine situation, respectfully.” “Because he admitted he was an informant, basically. So I was never. I never said I was,” Pras claims, “I am not now and never will be an FBI or a CIA informant.”

Beyoncé’s Father Teases Possible Destiny’s Child Reunion Album

Beyoncé’s father is giving fans a glimmer of hope for another Destiny’s Child reunion. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Matthew Knowles expressed his interest in the trio reuniting for new music. The group has not released a track together since 2005. He mentioned that the decision ultimately rests with the ladies themselves. He also said that, as their manager, he would fully support such a choice. Knowles believes that fans would be overwhelmed and overjoyed by the reunion. Furthermore, he remains optimistic that they might release one final album in their career. He attributes this hope to the unpredictable nature of the entertainment industry.

Destiny’s Child has not released any new music for almost 20 years. Their most recent music release was the 2005 track “Cater 2 U” from their compilation album #1s. Their last studio album was Destiny Fulfilled in 2004. However, the group’s last performance together was far more recent. As many will remember, Destiny’s Child took the stage together during Beyoncé’s headlining Coachella performance in 2018. Sadly, any plans for a reunion album will take time. Beyoncé is currently in the midst of her ongoing “Renaissance” World Tour in Europe. It is projected to become the highest-grossing tour in history, potentially surpassing $2 billion in revenue. While the reunion album may take longer to materialize, an on-stage reunion of Destiny’s Child could happen sooner. Beyoncé has included “Cater 2 U” in the setlist for her current tour, leaving open the possibility for surprise appearances.

Chlöe Reunites With Halle Onstage

Chlöe and Halle, the Bailey sisters, reunited onstage during the former’s In Pieces tour stop in Atlanta on Sunday night (April 23). Moreover, the “Pray It Away” singer shared some thankful words and a few pictures on Instagram. Not only did she shout out her Little Mermaid star sister, but she posted a picture with Missy Elliott backstage. Also, she expressed gratitude for now having her now day in the city of Atlanta (for the record, April 22 is now Chlöe Day). In her caption, she briefly but humbly reflected on the great time she’s having on the road.

“ATL love yall so much,” she captioned her post with a heart emoji. “I got to reunite with my best friend on stage and even have my own national day now (Chloe Day April 22nd). Each night on tour has been so magical.” In addition to those social media celebrations, Chlöe took some time to celebrate in-person, as well. After the Atlanta show, she went to a club in the area with Quavo, who are rumored to be an item. Despite fans’ excitement, the 24-year-old hasn’t said much on the subject beyond just calling him a “really nice guy” with great locs.

While the co-parents may be working on their relationship, that doesn’t mean the NBA star isn’t still entertaining other women. A report from DailyMail today (March 20) reveals that Tristan Thompson spent his Friday (March 17) out and about in Calabasas with a mystery lady who looks arguably similar to Khloé Kardashian. The pair were photographed hugging outside of an appliance store, just days after the Good American founder and other members of her family shared heartfelt birthday tributes to him. LeBron James & Kevin Love Reunion Could Be In The Cards

LeBron James is someone who has played with a lot of amazing players over the years. During his second stint in Cleveland, he had a lot of stars come and go. One person who stuck by him through all four seasons was none other than Kevin Love. Love was brought in via trade, and overall, he was fantastic on that team. However, since LeBron left, Love has had very few reasons to actually stay with the Cavaliers. Now, Love is being bought out and he will get to go to another team.

As it stands, very few actually know what the market is for a player like Love. He hasn’t really shown much over the last few years, and there is skepticism that he will add a lot to a contending team. Although, that hasn’t stopped franchises like the Miami Heat from inquiring about K-Love. He is a veteran presence who has won before, and that is very valuable to some of these franchises. Perhaps even LeBron’s Lakers could use him.

During an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst claimed that a LeBron James and Love reunion is certainly a possibility. In fact, the Lakers are “kicking the tires” in regard to a potential signing. Of course, bringing in Love definitely creates some risks. After all, he is not the player he once was and if anything, the Lakers should be going younger. Although, LeBron has a lot of pull within the Lakers, and if he wants Love to sign there, he can probably facilitate that reunion.

Apparently, the Phoenix Suns are also a potential place for Kevin Love to go. They are now the favorites to win it all thanks to the addition of Kevin Durant. That said, no team has made a final call on Love and they probably won’t for quite a bit of time. Either way, we’re sure Lakers fans are going to have some very strong opinions about all of this.
