Keith Lee’s Shocking Food Review At Sushi Establishment Results In Shut Down Of The Restaurant

Major TikTok food critic Keith Lee is currently trending right now thanks to a jaw-dropping sushi restaurant review. According to Yahoo! News, he posted a review from the Fob Sushi Bar location in Seattle on November 10. He got $15 worth of sashimi and nigiri and left a mostly positive review of the food, especially for the price. However, his viewers noticed something off about it that Keith didn’t pick up on in real time. “Nah, that fish definitely moved at 1:50,” one fan replied. “Your favorite one had a worm on it,” another claimed.

It’s hard to see with the lighting, but you can check out the video below. Not too long after the clip made the rounds online, Keith Lee did post a follow-up video confirming everyone’s suspicions. He said it “did appear that something moved.” However, he couldn’t completely concur whether it was a worm or not. Regardless of what caused the sushi to not look right, Fob responded to the controversial review and speculation labeling it “false.”

They affirmed to their social media followers that they “follow strict FDA and HACCP standards to ensure the highest quality and safety in every dish.” Instead, Fob Sushi Bar says that the “natural elasticity” of the fresh fish led to the movement. In that same follow-up post from Keith Lee, he was a little disappointed in the establishment’s response to his “allegations.” However, he didn’t viciously tear down the restaurant and was respectful in his reply.

“For the restaurant to post a statement indicating that me holding the sushi or me holding the chopsticks a certain way is why the sushi moved — I personally don’t agree with it. Because I’ve had sushi a thousand times, and I’ve held sushi a thousand different ways, and never once have I seen sushi behaving that way.” Given how popular Keith is the videos spread like wildfire, and it’s led to Fob’s temporary shutdown at their Seattle and Bellevue, Washington locations. In a statement, they wrote, “In response to recent food safety concerns, we have decided to close our FOB Sushi locations in Seattle and Bellevue until further notice.”

Kendrick Lamar Gives Tam’s Burgers A Huge Sales Boost Through “Not Like Us” Video

The whole city of Los Angeles is riding behind the strength of the Kendrick Lamar “Not Like Us” music video, and a rising tide lifts all boats. Moreover, per TMZ, the Tam’s Burgers restaurant that K.Dot and Mustard pull up to in Compton is seeing a massive increase in sales following its appearance in the music video. Lauro Hernandez, the manager of the Rosecrans Ave location, and his son Bryan Noe reportedly told the outlet that tourists and locals have come in droves and got sales up by 30 to 40 percent since the video dropped. Hernandez spoke of knowing Kendrick for years (he’s shouted Tam’s out before on songs like “ELEMENT”) and still marveling at how connected he is to his community.

In addition, Tam’s Burgers’ Compton manager said that he didn’t charge Kendrick Lamar for the visit or music video inclusion, but agreed to have the Tam’s logo in the visuals. The Dave Free-co-directed treatment for “Not Like Us” has over 37 million views at press time, so it’s likely that Tam’s will continue to have some great kickback from the homage. Seeing this view count skyrocket was an unsurprising feat, but still a pretty impressive one. However, what’s most astonishing is just how clean and striking much of the video is.

Also, we already knew that Kendrick Lamar could cook up some beef angles to make a restaurant pop. On one of his other Drake disses, “Euphoria,” his mention of the New Ho King restaurant in Toronto also caused a huge surge of customers for the location. In fact, the eatery even introduced a special meal that comprises of Kendrick’s exact order in the track. We even saw Drizzy himself seemingly pull up to it recently: one of his many bitter but still funny IG trolls against his Compton rival post-battle.

Meanwhile, with Spotify reportedly denying botting allegations for “Not Like Us,” Kendrick Lamar’s track clearly resonated with a massive number of people. It’s amazing to see that the song didn’t inspire folks to buy owl piñatas in droves, but rather that it drew them to Los Angeles’ great food, culture, and history. We’ll see what other successes result from this music video and rollout, and whether there’s even more to come. It does seem like the perfect time to start an album cycle…

Drake Shares Condolences After Sotto Sotto’s Legendary Momma Laura Passes Away

It’s no secret that Drake reps his hometown of Toronto as much as anyone. Throughout his career, he’s dropped reference after reference to the city in dozens and dozens of songs. He also became a de facto mascot for the Toronto Raptors during their legendary 2019 NBA championship run. But his love for the city really does run deep and he proved it with a recent Instagram story post where he showed love to a local business owner who tragically passed away.

Drizzy shared a post from Toronto restaurant Sotto Sotto announcing the bad news. The post explains that Momma Laura, the owner, founder, and public face of the restaurant, has passed away. It confirms that the restaurant will close for a day later this week to honor her and concludes by saying that she “will be forever missed.” Drake added onto the post with a caption of his own showing love to the restaurant owner. “Our deepest condolences from the OVO family” his additional caption reads. Drake’s beef with Kendrick Lamar was the biggest story in rap music this year. While it seems to have died down following the rapid fire weekend that saw multiple diss tracks dropped one after another, that hasn’t stopped discussion over the spat. Recently, Boosie Badazz claimed that while the two rappers may be done, they can’t control their respective crews. He claimed that the people surrounding both Drizzy and Kendrick were likely to escalate things to physical violence at some point, even if that’s not what the pair want. Since he made those comments though, there hasn’t been any new noise in the beef.

Orlando Brown was reportedly kicked out of TAO in Los Angeles on Sunday night and berated staff on his way out. The incident was caught on video and published by TMZ the following morning. In the clip, the former That’s So Raven star screamed, “f*cking demon,” among other insults while filming the staff himself.

Later, he concluded: “Everybody enjoy your night, I’m sorry for f*cking up your sh*t … F**k everybody!!!” Users on social media had mixed reactions to the video. Some came to Brown’s defense, such as one commenter on YouTube who wrote: “That man be seeing stuff due to his past and y’all be playing with him like he joking.” While others called him “crazy,” another user wrote: “I love Orlando. He was so entertaining on That’s So Raven. I Pray that he gets the help that he needs.”

Natalie Nunn Claps Back At Jess Hilarious Over Restaurant Lawsuit Shade

Earlier this week, Natalie Nunn announced that she plans to take legal action against a DC restaurant. Allegedly, they refused her service due to her affiliation with Zeus. According to her post, restaurant staff told her that they’re not fans of the network’s shows, or what they represent. She claimed to feel discriminated against, questioning the intentions of those in charge.

Now, Jess Hilarious has weighed in on the matter, and she’s siding with the restaurant. The comedian took to Instagram, claiming that if Nunn had been allowed to eat there, it would have negatively impacted other guests’ experiences. “Oh baby, when I say I stand by their decision… ain’t no way you’re about to ruin one of the best experiences as far as DC restaurants go, with your strange a**,” she wrote. Moreover, she says that she’s a fan of the restaurant herself, and wouldn’t want Nunn’s antics ruining her good time there. “IM UP IN THERE WAY TOO MUCH FOR A CIRCUS ACT!” she then added. “Nuh-uh no way [prayer emoji] but happy holidays yall.”

Keith Lee lit the culinary and pop culture world on fire when he, a popular social media food critic, reviewed a couple of Atlanta restaurants poorly. The issue wasn’t the food, though: it was the service, or lack of it, that he experienced. Moreover, this opened up a lot of debates around whether this is a valid criticism and whether it’s even reflective of the city’s restaurants. Furthermore, the latest celebrity to throw their hat into the ring is Chad Johnson, also known as Ochocinco, a football star with little connection to the A. Regardless, he told Shannon Sharpe in an interview that Lee was unfair with the issues that much of the food industry faces.

“Being a professional athlete, we get privileges sometimes at the restaurant that normal people don’t get. It happens!” Shannon Sharpe challenged to Chad Johnson. In fact, this clip is a strong debate between the basketball icon and the former NFL player with a lot of solid points on both ends. On one hand, Shannon believes that such critique is what restaurants ask for, and that people shouldn’t have to sugarcoat their criticisms because of a restaurant’s history or situation. The 45-year-old was more empathetic to the businesses that work very hard to get a name for themselves and face a lot of scrutiny as a result.

Not only that, but Chad Johnson also called into question Keith Lee’s authority as a “food critic.” As a counter to that, Shannon Sharpe expressed belief that he has all the authority he needs: he goes to a restaurant, decides whether it’s good, and posts it online. Overall, their argument centered around the limit to which a venue’s service and the attitude of their workers can be criticized. They also brought up that many of these could be Black-owned and run businesses, which in and of itself opens the debate up to more discrimination and bias.

Quando Rondo Gives Impromptu Concert At Restaurant: Watch

Quando Rondo appeared to post up and perform at a restaurant this week. The video, reshared by DJ Akademiks, shows Rondo standing on a table and performing for a crowd who seems pretty into the impromptu show. However, it’s unclear when or where this pop-up show took place. Regardless, the venue appears to be pretty full and there is a small group of people actively dancing and vibing directly in front of Rondo. It appears, despite his recent legal troubles, there are still plenty of people are down with Rondo’s music.

Rondo has remained fairly out of the spotlight after receiving a $100K bond back in June. While prosecutors attempted to have his bond revoked in July, Rondo remains a free man. However, he must submit to regular drug testing and must refrain from driving. Rondo faces a litany of charges, from RICO to driving under the influence. His trial date is still pending and remains a developing story.

Reactions to Rondo’s performance were mixed. For a lot of people, they just wanted to have some fun about where he was performing. Both “Dave & Busters” and “Kickbacks” were thrown around liberally in the comments. “I know Foo not performing a hookah lounge,” one person wrote. “Who crib they at,” joked another. Additionally, another user simply commented “million dollar biscuit”.

However, for all the jokes, there was also a wave of defenders standing up for Rondo. “At least he came out, he must no ain’t nobody gonna do nothing, w for him,” one person wrote. “Why hate like he did some to y’all personally. Lil Baby’s Restaurant Responds To Terrible Review

Last month, Atlanta-born rapper Lil Baby opened his own seafood restaurant in his hometown. The opening ceremony for the restaurant, The Seafood Menu Restaurant and Takeout, seemingly went off without a hitch. The event brought in a huge crowd of fans who were eager to taste what Lil Baby had to offer. At the time, it was also reported that Lil Baby plans to expand the venture, creating a franchise. He even wants to bottle up some of the restaurant’s signature sauces, so that fans can purchase them at their local grocery stores.

One self-proclaimed seafood lover, however, seems to have had a pretty disappointing experience with the restaurant. She posted a video review of the food, which later went viral. In the video, she shows what she received, claiming to have gotten shorted on her meal. Apparently, the restaurant only gave her four shrimp when she paid for six. She also showed a photo of a piece of fish that appeared to be cut in half, which she claims the restaurant tried to hide with a different piece of fish.

As expected, the review raised some eyebrows, as many fans were looking forward to trying the restaurant. The Seafood Menu has now responded to the review, however, emphasizing their commitment to “enhancing [their] services.” “Seafood Menu greatly appreciates all feedback, regardless of its nature, as it contributes to the continuous improvement of our customer service,” they wrote. “We recently became aware of a video circulating on social media, which appears to depict a to-go order from our opening day.”

“However, we are unable to verify the timing of the video in relation to the food order,” the response continued. “It’s worth noting that our opening day saw an impressive turnout of over 2,000 patrons, with nearly 99% of reviews being positive. While we regret not having the chance to directly address this concern, we remain dedicated to enhancing our services and serving our underserved community to the best of our ability.”

Ludacris Opens Chicken & Beer Restaurant At LAX

Ludacris celebrated the grand opening of his second Chicken + Beer restaurant location on Wednesday at the LAX airport. He posted a picture of his restaurant workforce gathered together under the Chicken + Beer logo. Located in Terminal 3 at the giant Los Angeles airport, it serves way more than just chicken and beer. Commenters on Instagram were raving about other food items, such as the “Grown Folk Mimosa” and high-quality shrimp and grits.

“ITS OFFICIAL!!!!! CHICKEN & BEER LAX IS NOW OPEN! …LOS ANGELES, [LET’S] GO!!!” Ludacris shouted from his Insta caption. The first Chicken + Beer location is Gate D5 at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. That first restaurant launched in 2016, making this second location a whole seven years in the making. The name of the restaurant is an homage to Luda’s 2003 studio album Chicken-n-Beer. The official Chicken + Beer website claims to serve “all the flavors of Southern soul food.” This includes fresh-made waffles, mac and cheese that’s “better than your mama’s,” and crispy fried chicken.

He plays a pivotal role in the Fast & Furious franchise. Owning a couple of restaurants is par for the course for the talented multi-hyphenate. And it all reflects in his massive net worth.
