Pusha T Remixes “White Lines” By Melle Mel To Promote “Cocaine Bear” Movie
I mean, of course he did. Pusha T just announced his new song to promote the movie Cocaine Bear in theaters this week. Moreover, it’s a remix of Melle Mel’s classic 1983 single “White Lines (Don’t Don’t Do It).” With that classic drum beat behind it, and those gorgeous backing vocals, Push did what he does best. “All white, all winter,” he raps. “Even snow in the summer / The high fallin’ from the sky / Are you the hunted or the hunter?” Overall, it seems like it’s going to be a pretty cheeky track, especially from the current king of coke rap.
However, there is a bit of confusing information going around about this song, at least as of writing this article. While the film’s official Instagram page says the lyric video is out now, it can’t be found on YouTube. For now, it seems that the most we have of the song is a Twitter video uploaded by Push himself. Unfortunately, though, the snippet of the song mashes up with audio and dialogue from the attached trailer. Well, at least it does contain lyrics, but they’re hardly necessary for his authoritative and clear delivery. The Virginia Beach-based MC is one of the top lyrical and artistic dogs of the moment, with impeccably smooth flows and consistent writing.
Pusha T’s Cocaine Bear Track
What’s more is that this is just a side quest for Pusha T’s upcoming main mission: his Gangsta Grillz tape with DJ Drama. Recently, he spoke glowingly of his excitement for the project and credited Tyler, the Creator with revitalizing mixtape excellence. “I just feel like to me, the Gangsta Grillz and the whole mixtape culture and scene is what I’m about. That’s the purest form of Hip Hop to me,” he told Complex. “The fact that Drama is having so much success, the fact that that’s what I love in Hip Hop, I want to merge those worlds and see what happens.” Not only that, but he apparently has a solo album in the works as well.
“I’m going to be honest with you,” the 45-year-old added. “Seeing Drama’s mixtape with Tyler and how they won a Grammy, I was like, ‘Man, mixtapes really won a Grammy.’ So I’m trying to be a part of that culture as well.” Check out the Cocaine Bear track above and stick around on HNHH for the latest greatness from Pusha T.

Beyoncé’s “CUFF IT – WETTER REMIX” Takes The Top Spot On Our “R&B Season” Playlist
Obviously, all most music lovers care about today (February 12) is the Rihanna concert, or should we say, the Super Bowl. Still, you obviously need music to stream while waiting for the big event to start, and for blasting as you celebrate your favourite team’s win after. Luckily for you, we’ve got plenty of new arrivals to talk about on our R&B Season playlist.
At the top of this weekend’s update is a two-time past Halftime show performer herself, Beyoncé. Since the arrival of RENAISSANCE last summer she’s been steadily delivering remixes or different versions of her disco-inspired song. After hearing several others take on the challenge, the mother of three finally released the “CUFF IT – WETTER REMIX.” It blends her own song with Twista’s vintage fan favourite.
Afterward, we hear from Maeta, who’s bringing “S(EX)” to our roster of R&B releases. “You know the vibes and we outside tonight / Just for old times I’II let you slide in my / Feelings,” her soft voice rings out. The sultry new single boasts production by OG Parker, G. Ry, and MesioMusic.
Holding things down for Canada today is Roy Woods. The “Snow White” singer had a strong 2022 thanks to releases like “Bad Bad,” “Insecure,” and “Speeding.” On his first solo track of the new year, “Don’t Love Me,” will potentially land on his forthcoming Mixed Emotions effort. Many details about that remain unknown, but he previously shared that Drake will be executive producing.
Our only collaboration on the latest R&B Season list comes from Lizzo and SZA. The powerhouse vocalists came together to remix the former’s “Special” single. It originally landed on her album of the same name last summer. It’s the first time we’ve heard the Detroit and Missouri natives work together musically, though it hopefully won’t be the last.
Next, we have Lucky Daye’s contribution to Magic Mike’s Last Dance soundtrack, “Careful,” which has already been streamed upwards of 75K times on Spotify since Friday’s debut. Additionally, from Kelela’s beautiful new Raven project, we’ve selected her single from earlier in the month – “Enough for Love.”
Stream our R&B Season update exclusively on Spotify below. Afterward, tell us which of this week’s new additions you’ve been loving in the comments. Finally, find more music recommendations from NAV, Shy Glizzy, and more on our Fire Emoji playlist here.
SZA Joins Lizzo On “Special” Remix
Lizzo and SZA just released a remix of the former’s standout track from last year, the uplifting and soulful “Special.” Moreover, it’s the title track on Lizzo’s 2022 album, not SZA’s SOS cut of the same name. Even though this new version doesn’t switch up much from the original, it was already powerful to begin with. Furthermore, the TDE vocalist adds some gorgeous background vocals throughout its runtime. Given Lizzo’s recent Grammy win for Record of the Year, this song takes on a particularly triumphant feeling. As SZA supports her industry colleague, you can feel the confidence and gratitude pour out.
However, the “Kill Bill” singer didn’t stop there. In fact, she opens up this new version with a short, but thematically fitting narrative. Throughout her lines and beneath her soothing vocal tone, she handles negativity from external sources and finds comfort in self-affirmation. While many might try to bring them down, both artists look inward for satisfaction and are proud of their emotions. After her verse ends, the chart-dominating artist supports Lizzo as she sings her parts. Even if it’s a minimal addition, it’s certainly a powerful one that adds more dynamism to the track.
Meanwhile, SZA also appeared at the Grammys and presented Bad Bunny with the Best Música Urbana Album. After all the incredible success of SOS, we’re sure she’ll make a show-stopping return to the Recording Academy next year. Still, what did you think of Lizzo and SZA teaming up on the former’s inspiring album track, “Special”? However you feel, let us know in the comments and check out some notable lines from SZA’s verse down below. Also, if you haven’t heard the song yet, you can find the remix on your preferred streaming service. As always, check back in with HNHH for the best new music releases in hip-hop, R&B, and beyond.
Quotable Lyrics
Woke up this morning to somebody judging me
No surprise they judging me, don’t know who I’m ‘posed to be
I’m just acting up, I’m pressed as f**k and never saying sorry
Found it in the end, I can only do it for me
Beyoncé Surprises Fans With “CUFF IT (Wetter Remix)”
Before the arrival of RENAISSANCE last year, the Beyhive was starving for more content from Beyoncé. Following the project’s historic debut, the mother of three has been working harder than ever to keep her fans fed.
She began with an incredible return to the stage for the first time in years in Dubai. A roster of star-studded celebrities flew out to the UAE to witness the spectacle firsthand. At the same time, the rest of the world has been left to tirelessly rewatch the handful of sneakily captured videos circulating on Twitter from the show.
Beyoncé is still hearing adoring social media users sing her praise for the concert. In the time since her big resurgence, the announcement for her upcoming RENAISSANCE tour is now making headlines. Meanwhile, the world is desperately fighting to get their hands on coveted tickets.
Of course, only a select number of lucky shoppers will take home passes to the performances. To cheer up anyone who may have missed out, the “Baby Boy” hitmaker shared a remix of a RENAISSANCE fan favourite this weekend.
“CUFF IT (Wetter Remix)” landed on Beyoncé’s website on Friday (February 3), and is already receiving endless praise for its creativity. The song takes the vocalist’s singing from the album, then layers it over the instrumental of Twista’s “Wetter” from 2009.
The lyrics have been slightly altered as well. Now, the Houston native sings, “I can see the love in your eyes / Boy I know you wanna squeeze it, don’t lie / Double tap when I walk by, f*ck a reply,” on the bridge, obviously boosting the track’s already sultry energy.
At this time, Beyoncé’s “CUFF IT (Wetter Remix)” is available exclusively on the singer’s website. Purchase a digital download for yourself here, and revisit the song’s original cut above.
Quotable Lyrics:
I can see the love in your eyes
Boy I know you wanna squeeze it, don’t lie
Double tap when I walk by, f*ck a reply

Erykah Badu shared a remix of Sade’s “Love Is Stronger Than Pride” in honor of the legendary singer’s birthday on Monday. Badu uploaded her version, titled “She Stronger,” in an Instagram post.
“‘She Stronger’ Sade remix programmed and performed live by e.b.,” Badu captioned a clip of the song. “Custom Gold and Woodgrain coffin for badu gold MPC live by @currycases.”
Sade released “Love Is Stronger Than Pride” as the lead single for her band’s third studio album, Stronger Than Pride in 1988. Altogether, the album peaked at No. 7 on the US Billboard 200. It’s since been certified 3x platinum by the RIAA. It is widely regarded as one of Sade’s best works with Pitchfork naming it the 37th-best album of the decade.
The post came ahead of the announcement that Sade will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in 2023. The organization cited her key tracks as “Smooth Operator,” “No Ordinary Love,” “The Sweetest Taboo,” “By Your Side,” as well as “Is It A Crime.”
In addition to Sade, Snoop Dogg, Gloria Estefan, Jeff Lynne, Teddy Riley, and Liz Rose are being inducted. The induction ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, June 15 in New York City.

In December 2022, Badu featured on RM’s debut studio album Indigo for the song, “Yun.”

Blxst Expertly Remixes Beyoncé’s Hit Song, “Cuff It”: Stream
Countless amazing albums arrived in 2022, though few of them had the same impact as Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE. It’s been some time since the disco-inspired record landed last summer, but even still it remains in streaming rotation for many – including Blxst.
As you may recall, the R&B hitmaker had a big project of his own land last spring, Before You Go. On that, he worked with the likes of Arin Ray, Rick Ross, Zacari, and Grandmaster Vic.
Since then, we’ve also heard his vocals shine alongside Larry June on “Keep Calling” and with Babyface Ray and Nija on “Spend It.” Additionally, he appears on Kalan.FtFr’s “No Stoppin” as well as Chris Brown’s “Show It.”
It presently remains unclear what Blxst has planned for fans in 2023. However, his audience is undeniably eager to hear more music. Earlier this weekend, he delivered a treat in the form of a Beyoncé remix that fans are already loving.
Saturday (January 14) saw the arrival of the “Cuff It / Wetter” remix, available exclusively on the singer’s YouTube page. Spanning just a minute and a half, the short and sweet song markedly blends Queen B and the younger star for our enjoyment.
“I feel like fallin’ in love / I’m in the mood to f*ck something up / I need some drink in my cup, hey / I’m in the mood to f*ck something up,” they expertly sing the original lyrics together.

Stormzy Drops FLO Remix Of Song “Hide & Seek”
London group FLO just dropped their remix of Stormzy’s “Hide & Seek” off of his latest album, This Is What I Mean. Moreover, it adds even more beauty and calming vibes than its already breezy original. If anything, it shows a true chemistry between these artists, as they emulate the original’s R&B vocals quite skillfully.
Meanwhile, Stormzy’s tender performance on the track isn’t undercut. “Hide & Seek” found him in a softer and more easy-going flow and performance compared to some of his best output. Regardless, the “Vossi Bop” MC delivered an earnest and straightforward verse that meaningfully connect with the song’s message. However, in the lead-up to his November album, other singles like “Firebabe” indicated to fans that the London rapper was bound to surprise.
Still, the “Hide & Seek” remix is a quality blend of dancehall-inspired rhythms, warm acoustic instrumentation, and gorgeous R&B melodies. Moreover, FLO blend together with such harmony and grace on the track that they feel more like a choir than just three singers. However, that’s not to discount each member’s talent, as Jorja Douglas, Stella Quaresma, and Renée Downer all impress. Furthermore, their presence on the song is owed just as much to their sung lyrics as it is to the atmosphere their background vocals create.
After an incredible comeback year, Stormzy showed us why he’s as beloved as he is. For example, he made a great appearance on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, which only elevated his skill set. Given music videos and a host of other promotional material, he’s likely to have a big 2023 as well.
What did you think of FLO’s remix of “Hide & Seek” by Stormzy? Moreover, are you still bumping This Is What I Mean? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, you can peep some notable lyrics from the song down there as well. As always, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest R&B hits of the week.
Quotable Lyrics

We’ll lose all that we knew (We knew)
Tell me, have you ever been so deep
We don’t even know where we are?
