Footage recently surfaced online of Playboi Carti’s arrest for speeding in 2022, and fans and fellow rappers alike had no shortage of reactions. Of course, since this was old footage, many took it much more lightly than if it had popped up around the traffic stop’s date. Still, many folks decided to clown his situation or speak negatively on it, including one Benji Blue Bills during a recent Instagram Live session. Specifically, he decided to take aim at the Opium boss’ attempts to get out of the arrest, and blasted this as bizarre movement from him. They have some issues to work out among themselves, so this is probably just an extension of that tension.

“These n***as trying to suck d**k in the police car,” Benji Blue Bills expressed with a laugh, who recently “reacted” to Playboi Carti’s diss against him. “Aye, man, these n***as trying to suck d**k not to go to jail. ‘Officer, is there anything I can do to not go to jail? Anything? You sure there ain’t nothing?’ Face a**. Them n***as say, ‘Jail? Jail?!’ Come on, bruh. Ain’t no gangster moving like that, man. These n***as be fool, man. ‘Officer, is there anything I can do to not go to jail?’ Man, you was speeding, you wasn’t even doing s**t. You was speeding!”

Benji Reacts To Playboi Carti’s Arrest Footage: Watch

Elswhere, rapper Bear1Boss recently revealed, as the new footage showed, that he actually met Playboi Carti at the same jail he was getting booked at. Furthermore, you can see his excited reaction in the clip below while the Atlanta rage pioneer stands silently and stoically. “I was locked up with Carti he said Dnt tell nobody wtf did that do for me [crying-laughing emoji],” the KEY! collaborator tweeted once this body-cam footage sprouted up online. It must be quite the bizarre experience to meet one of your favorite rappers in the slammer.

Skinnyfromthe9 is an artist who has been involved in a few altercations over the years. Furthermore, he has found himself at the forefront of feuds that have been dangerous. Overall, there have been times where he hasn’t exactly centered the music. Instead, it has been the antics around the music that have propelled him. In a post from No Jumper, it was revealed that Skinnyfromthe9 is currently homeless. He was seen at a shelter looking for food, and he was seeing some of the discourse about it play out on social media. However, he clapped back at the haters, stating that he is, indeed homeless. He took various videos of himself in which he can be seen walking the streets. Moreover, he claims to be cold and that it was actually his birthday. Overall, it seems like an extremely distressing situation to be in.

Clearly, some people are a bit wary of believing Skinny and his story.

We’re sure that some beats will grow on us, we will understand bars more with each listen, some features won’t be as exciting as when we first heard them, and so on. But on Onika’s 41st birthday, on the very first day we got our ears on it, how is it shaping up? Well, according to the fans… good! But it depends on who you ask.

Obviously, a lot of fans of Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, or other femcees probably don’t like Pink Friday 2 that much. Meek Mill left fans at a loss with the latest video on his Instagram Story, earlier this week. In the shaky clip, Meek recites lyrics while awkwardly climbing into the back seat of a car at night. He provided no further context as to why he posted the video. When Hollywood Unlocked shared it on Instagram, fans had plenty of jokes.

“Boy got in the car like he just got picked up from Soccer Practice and excited to play Roblox in the back seat,” one user wrote. Another posted: “He prayed for times like that to record videos like this…,” while a third commented: “Better question is why he crawl in the car like a tiger.”

After dropping the effort, Meek reacted to its low sales expectations in multiple posts on Twitter. He wrote at the time: “It’s says me and Ross on pace to sell 35k first week I would post if it said 350k… I’m too nice and rich to be rapping in a control music environment that’s why we dropping music on Fridays it’s doesn’t make sense… Now we all own our music we getting the tech built to put people on our own musical subscriptions and we gone let direct to consumer see if rap if doing well.” In another post, he added: “I never wanted to be on billboards. After teasing fans about quitting weed on Instagram, Snoop Dogg has revealed that his recent post was actually just a marketing ploy for a Solo Stove smokeless fire pit. In response to the announcement, fans took to social media to admit that the rapper pulled one over on them.

One user on Twitter posted: “snoop dogg had the whole world and stoners rethinking they life when he ‘quit smoking’ this mf was just doing an ad.” Another wrote: “Snoop Dogg tricked all of us.” When The Shade Room shared a compilation of reactions on Instagram, one user had a more series response: “That’s sad because he really had people considering changing their lives. Please respect my privacy at this time.” On Monday, he revealed that it was simply part of a broader partnership. “I have an announcement: I’m giving up smoke,” he said in a video. “I know what you thinking: ‘Snoop, smoke is kinda your whole thing.’ But I’m done with it. Done with the coughing and my clothes smelling all sticky-icky. I’m going smokeless.” From there, he reveals the smokeless fire pit.

More revelations about Jada Pinkett Smith’s discoveries of hard drugs and psychedelics continue to be shared with the world. The actress and “wife” of Will Smith recently put out her controversial memoir, Worthy, back on October 4. As of now, it is receiving plenty of backlash and comments from everyone. Names like Chris Rock, who was involved with the viral Academy Awards slap, have made plenty of remarks around it. Others include Will, of course, 50 Cent, Stephen A. Smith, and plenty more.

One more we can add to the list is Dipset rap legend, Jim Jones. In a recent AllHipHop piece, Jim is calling out Jada for her drug-dealing past as a teenager. In her memoir, she details that selling crack and other hard substances was the way to make money in Baltimore. “I decided to sell drugs.” Smith continues,  “Growing up, the drug dealers were the ones that had affluence. That’s what we readily saw as success.” Jim is wanting to hear from the supposed fiends that Jada was selling to back in the day.

In the video above, Jim appears to be flabbergasted at the idea that she was moving like that as a kid. The rapper now wants to hear from Smith’s customers. “If you sold crack in the nineties, nine times out of ten, there’s still some crackheads in the neighborhood that can vouch that you were selling that butter.” He continues, “We need to go check and see if they got some fiends that can verify, validify that she was selling that she had that butter on the block for sale.” While Jim and others are skeptical about this, Jada has heavily references to drugs in her book, so maybe she is being truthful?

Drake’s “For All The Dogs” Elicits Praise & Hilarious Reactions

However, with the release of For All The Dogs, Drake’s on his way to another #1 album and it seems that fans have, so far, appreciated what he delivered.

With 23 songs in total, Drake brings out some heavy hitters on the tracklist. J. Cole and Drake team up on “First Person Shooter,” an immediate highlight off of the project. Then, artists like 21 Savage and Chief Keef bring their gritty sounds to the equation. Meanwhile, Drake embraces the new generation of stars like Sexyy Red and Yeat for his latest effort. All in all, For All The Dogs sounds like Drake pushing his own creative boundaries and committing to sounds that he only dabbled with in the years prior.

Let’s be real: whenever Drake drops an album, it’s obnoxiously declared a classic within the first five minutes of its release. Surprisingly, that doesn’t seem to be the case with For All The Dogs. For the most part, fans feel a bit misled that this would be the reintroduction to the old Drake. However, as Lil Yachty mentioned during his podcast earlier this year, it’s hard for the Canadian rapper to be in that headspace when he’s far removed from the Take Care era. “He explained to me how it’s hard for him to make music about things he isn’t dealing with, or he isn’t experiencing,” he said. “Everything is real, everything is pulled from something.”

A big part of this renaissance now was revealed at this show, as he brought out Afrobeats artist Victor Thompson for the concert. They performed his hit “This Year” together, and that’s when Wunna unveiled his secret weapon.

Turns out that he’s remixing “This Year,” and he gave fans a preview of what to expect from it soon. All in all, reactions to Gunna’s performance online were overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the vocal efforts and chemistry between these artists. Still, it doesn’t mean that he completely switched lanes, as his auto-tuned tone and croon remains unmistakeable. The 30-year-old will likely continue to shape his career out from here, as this feels like a second wind.
