There’s no one doing it quite like Britney Spears. The years since the “Womanzier” hitmaker regained freedom from her conservatorship have seen plenty of ups and downs, but through it all, she’s been consistent with one thing – dancing. Seeing as she’s been in the industry for most of her life, it’s no surprise that performing brings Spears a sense of comfort. She has a habit of sharing videos on Instagram that show her grooving along to both popular new releases and throwback hits. The pop sensation is often scantily clad in these videos, and this past weekend, we saw one of her most provocative clips to date.

Spears boldly added a stripper pole to her usual set-up, spinning around on it in a tiny leopard-print bikini while “Closer” by Nine Inch Nails blasts in the background. Seeing as Plies has been hyping the former child star up for the past few weeks, we’ve been anticipating his reaction to Brit’s antics. Thankfully, they arrived on Monday (August 14) afternoon, and were just as entertaining as we expected them to be. “There she go!” the rapper squealed with delight while showing off his favourite girl.

Timbaland Reacts To Passing Of Longtime Collaborator, Magoo

Timbaland reacted to the death of his longtime collaborator, Magoo, on Instagram, Monday morning. As a duo, they released several hit songs in the 1990s and early 2000s, including “Up Jumps da Boogie.” Timbaland shared several pictures and videos of himself with the late rapper.

“This one hits different [crying emojis] long live Melvin aka magoo!!! [broken heart emojis] Tim and Magoo forever rest easy my king [heart emojis],” he wrote in one post. Fans joined in honoring Magoo in the comments section of Timbaland’s post. One wrote: “Mannnn I was hoping it was a bad rumor/hoax. My condolences [prayer hands]. Y’all were the soundtrack to my childhood.” Another also commented: “Immediately you and Missy came to mind. My condolences to Magoo’s family, you and Missy.”

Timbaland wasn’t the only voice in hip-hop to mourn the late rapper. Ginuwine also appeared to reference his passing in a post on Sunday night. It reads: “Times get rough but we keep on pushing just heard some news I hope it ain’t true …I just want everyone to know that time is short love who you love and make sure they know it.” Others such as Jermaine Dupri and Omarion offered condolences as well. Timbaland & Magoo released three studio albums together during their careers. Plies Excitedly Reacts To Montgomery, Alabama Brawl

If you’ve been online at all today, you probably know that there was a viral and nasty brawl that went down in Montgomery, Alabama. Moreover, the clip spread like wildfire online around Sunday (August 6), and involves multiple people feuding over an alleged dispute where a boat was blocking another on the riverfront. Many commented on this in a light fashion, making jokes about it or criticizing the fight itself. However, considering that there was one black man getting beat up by a group of white men, there’s a much more heinous undertone than some people believe. Unfortunately, any nuanced conversation around it got muddled up by ignorance of its implications.

Furthermore, Plies became the latest rap-adjacent figure to react to the fight, and did so quite lightly. Of course, he’s known for his social media antics, so this shouldn’t come as much surprise. That being said, he remarked that he would’ve liked to have been there amid the beatdown. That will surely come off tone-deaf for many. In an Instagram clip, the Florida native giggled and yelled while throwing punches in the air.

While Plies did excitedly say something in this clip, his caption basically sums them up. “B***h I Wish I Was In Alabama Tonight Bih!!!!” the 47-year-old wrote with laughing emojis. “They Gave It To Y’all Azz Tonight!!!! (As Long As They Ain’t Whip No Kids Or Women). But All Y’all Tripled Teamed My Boy On The Dock Y’all Azz Get It Bih!!!” Sure, his social media is quite volatile and sometimes for good reason, but this took the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, Montgomery police said they issued four active warrants related to this brawl. They also apprehended multiple individuals with pending charges, with possible additional action after investigators review footage. “Last night, the Montgomery Police Department acted swiftly to detain several reckless individuals for attacking a man who was doing his job,” the city’s mayor Steven Reed stated on Sunday afternoon. “Warrants are being signed and justice will be served. This was an unfortunate incident which never should have occurred. As our police department investigates these intolerable actions, we should not become desensitized to violence of any kind in our community. Of the hip-hop bloggers creating content today, DJ Akademiks is perhaps best known for feuding with those he reports on. We’ve seen him take aim at various figures in the industry throughout his career. Lately, it’s been Yung Miami and Lil Baby feeling the heat. More recently, Chloe Bailey is on his mind too. The latter covered Gunna’s hit song “fukumean,” for her followers earlier this week. Now, Ak thinks she’s sliding into the YSL artist’s life since he’s out of jail and has a new album.

“You dipped on that ni**a soon as that ni**a got locked up,” the Off the Record host’s bizarre rant began. “I ain’t gon’ call you the b-word, ‘cuz I heard you down with Beyonce. I don’t want them getting mad at me,” he added. “Man, as soon as she thought Gunna was not coming back home, she was single. Single as a motherf**ker. I watched her in some s**t called ‘Swarm,’ getting her BACK BLOWN OUT,” Akademiks continued, referencing Bailey’s first-ever intimate scene opposite Damson Idris in Donald Glover’s series.

Elsewhere, Ak went on to accuse Bailey of always singing other people’s songs before falsely claiming her debut album only sold 3,000 units in its first week. He also said that he doesn’t understand the hype about Chloe, but couldn’t help but admit she is an attractive young woman.

Her In Pieces album’s first-week sales may not have satisfied Akademiks, but they’re good enough for the Atlanta-born singer to take her debut solo project out on two separate tours. She wrapped up the first round of dates back in the spring, and a few weeks ago, Chloe Bailey confirmed her second round of In Pieces concerts, taking place across North America this fall. Drake Reacts To Fan Crying During His Tour

Drake’s “It’s All A Blur” tour with 21 Sav has been an absolute event to witness, whether for the performances themselves or the news that sprouted as a result. Still, it seems like some fans still have a pretty hard time even believing what they see in front of them, with one fan in particular getting noticed for it. Moreover, as a fan was apparently in tears during the 6 God’s performance of his track “Jungle,” he pointed them out to the crowd. “Why are you crying already? The show just started!” the rapper told the fan with a laugh.

Unfortunately, other fan interactions during this tour ranged from sweet to pretty disruptive and downright dangerous. Sure, an attendee ran out to hug Drake’s Slaughter Gang compatriot as the Atlanta trapper made his way through the crowd. On the other hand, some people pelted the Canadian superstar with bras, shoes, and much more during their recent Detroit stop. In fact, this followed an instance where someone threw a phone at him on stage, which could’ve been much nastier. While they are two incredibly beloved fan favorites in hip-hop, it doesn’t warrant them potentially getting hurt while they’re just trying to do their job.

In other news, it seems like neither artist really has a huge problem with that, as they went over their curfew for their Detroit show. Not only that, but their extended stage time actually cost Drake and 21 about $230K in fines, with restrictions of $10K per every extra minute they spent performing. Of course, the 36-year-old and 21 have pretty deep pockets at this point, so they can afford the minutes. Still, it’s a wild sight to see amid an era during which a lot of shows and festival sets cut artists short due to strict timing regulations.

Meanwhile, there are about 50 or so more shows to go, which will surely boast plenty of highlights. We’ve regularly seen fake songs appear online of long-deceased artists covering new releases, or entirely new tracks together from names like Drake and The Weeknd that receive just as much attention as their own drops. Aside from their voices being used without consent, stars like Nicki Minaj have also had issues with their image being stolen.

A few months back, ITVX launched their Deep Fake Neighbour Wars series, which pairs together unexpected celebrities in a simulated living environment. Among those coupled up are Adele and Jake Paul, Rihanna and Usain Bolt, and Beyonce and Billie Eilish. As The Conversation reports, Kim Kardashian and Idris Elba also appear in an episode together. Rather than their regular, glamorous jobs, the actor is a handyman/delivery driver. As for the socialite, she works as a bus driver in the deep fake world. In addition to all of those, Minaj also appears alongside the youngest Spider-Man, Tom Holland.

In the clip she retweeted, her and Holland recount a bizarre encounter with Mark Zuckerberg. While her appearance is pretty on-point, something about the rap diva’s voice is jarring.

Omeretta appears to defend Gunna, who was released earlier this year on a plea deal, with her bars, while name-dropping several male rappers who have been throwing shade his way recently.

Alleged Jacquees Mugshot Goes Viral, Social Media Reacts

An alleged mugshot of Jacquees has hit the internet. It’s unconfirmed when the photo was taken, or what the events were leading up to it. However, fan speculation is rampant on social media, and everyone is dying to know what happened. In the shot, Jacquees has a fat lip and what appears to be the beginnings of a black eye. This has led to additional theories, with some claiming that he appears to have been in a fight before the photo was taken.

One Twitter user asks, “Which one if y’all beat up Jacquees?” “Damn somebody beat Jacquees a*s,” another adds. Other users are claiming to be upset by the mugshot of the injured artist. “That sh*t got me heated,” one fan writes, “you ok my love!!!??” They go on to tell him to “Let us know!!!” “Who beat you up because I’m coming” another fan warns. Overall, fans seem to be concerned for the “B.E.D.” singer.

Jacquees’ Alleged Mugshot

According to Rap Alert, the artist was arrested yesterday (June 23) for charges of simple battery and obstruction of law enforcement officers. They claim that Jacquees has since been released on bond. The circumstances surrounding the arrest remain unclear.

Jacquees was arrested previously, for failing to follow orders from a police officer in 2018. He was pulled over in his Lamborghini in Miami Beach for not wearing a seat belt. Reports claim that he failed to pull over, and later failed to provide law enforcement with his driver’s license. “Do not touch me,” he reportedly told an officer, who had asked him to move to a nearby sidewalk. A report for the incidents says, “If the defendant would have complied since he was being pulled over, this incident could have been avoided.” He was arrested again that same year for driving at 116 miles per hour at 3 a.m. in Atlanta. Jacquees was pulled over, and officers searched his vehicle to find around three grams of marijuana. He was charged with speeding, reckless driving, littering, and possession of a controlled substance.
