Tory Lanez Update: General Population & Special Programs Reportedly Of Interest To Rapper

This weekend reports alleged Tory Lanez is fearing for his life since relocating to North Kern State Prison. In his latest mugshot, the embattled artist looked far less put together than normal. His hair appears to be lifting, and his skin missing its usual glow. Since being transferred, Lanez has been kept away from other inmates due to his celebrity status. This means he receives frequent guard check-ups and escorts to and from his meals. According to TMZ, the Chix Tapes hitmaker wants to be treated like any other inmate.

Attorney Ceasar McDowell tells the outlet that his client surprisingly wants to be kept in general population. In fact, he’s actually confident about his chances for fitting in with fellow prisoners. “We’re told [Lanez] has absolutely no apprehension about his safety… As McDowell explains, [he] thinks he can handle himself,” the outlet explains. Thankfully, the Toronto native has people in his life who briefed him on prison life before his sentence began. Additionally, his natural confidence will surely help on some level.

Apart from human interaction, the performer’s lawyer also shared that Lanez is seeking to speed up his rehabilitation process by engaging in programs and utilizing resources that are more easily accessible to those in gen pop. As far as fear goes, the one thing that the “Say It” hitmaker worries about is reportedly losing contact with his loved ones. At LA County Jail he was able to make phone calls whenever he pleased. For the next 30 days, however, he’s being held at the “reception center.” Here, he can only receive calls from his legal team.

After that period of time elapses, the entertainer will have inmate orientation, where we’ll find out what his future plans for housing are. Both Tory Lanez’s fans and haters are curious to know more about what life in prison has been like for him so far. Should he be granted a spot in general population, the father of one will be putting himself at risk to some seriously gruesome potentials. Tory Lanez Feels Like A “Target” Behind Bars: Report

Earlier this summer, Tory Lanez finally received his sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion back in 2020. The judge gave him 10 years behind bars, which he’s now in the process of appealing. He recently requested to be released on bail, but a judge quickly shut him down. Regardless, sources close to the rapper claim that he remains hopeful.

Recently, the performer was transferred to North Kern State Prison. This prompted chatter surrounding some of the crimes that have taken place at the facility in the past year or so, which include various violent acts, even murder. Earlier this week, it came out that Lanez is being held in Administrative Segregation. This means that he’s fairly isolated, and being kept away from the other inmates.

According to reports, Lanez has a cell of his own, and every time he leaves he’s placed in handcuffs. He’s also not allowed to eat in the cafeteria with the other prisoners, meaning that his meals are delivered straight to his cell. Apparently, even when he goes outside in the yard, he’s kept in a special area away from everyone else. Though this must certainly be lonely, it might be for his own good. A source recently spoke with TMZ, claiming that Lanez feels especially at-risk because he’s a high-profile inmate.

“Tory is scared for his life and safety in prison. He feels like he is an instant and direct target because of his celebrity status,” they explained. “He stands in at 5-foot-3, so his size is definitely a setback.” The source went on to describe how Lanez continues to hold out hope that he’ll be released. “He is housed with real hardcore criminals, murderers,” they added. “So he is really hoping that his lawyers will be able to continue to fight for his freedom while still maintaining his innocence. The whole thing is a mess.” What do you think of Tory Lanez being in fear for his safety in prison? French Rapper MHD Sentenced To 12 Years In Prison For Murder

French rapper MHD has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for the murder of a 23-year-old man in 2018, according to Agence France-Press. The sentencing comes after he pled not guilty to the crime. He was tried alongside eight co-defendants in the case. Three of the accused were acquitted while the rest have all received sentences ranging from 10-18 years. Everyone involved pled not guilty. The trial lasted for three weeks.

In a final statement to the jury, MHD once again reiterated his not guilty plea. “From the beginning, I have maintained my innocence in this case and I will continue to maintain my innocence,” he said in court.

MHD was first arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter back in 2019. Witnesses reportedly saw his car at the scene of the crime in Paris’ 10th arrondissement in July 2018. After the arrest, his lawyers quickly stated that he had no “involvement in the brawl” which led to the victim, Loïc K’s death. “His presence at the scene of the incident remains to be proven,” they said at the time. They added that the car was used by different “individuals identified by investigators as the perpetrators of the deadly attack,” while also arguing that MHD contacted investigators “as soon as he became aware” of the car’s involvement. They further confirmed that MHD has “never been involved in conflicts between rival gangs.” Several other French artists have voiced their support for MHD in the time since his initial arrest.

MHD has released three studio albums throughout his career. His self-titled first project came in 2016, followed by 19 in 2018 and Mansa in 2021. He blends trap music with West African music, which he describes as “Afro Trap.” Be on the lookout for further updates on MHD’s case on HotNewHipHop.

Tory Lanez Isolated In Prison Due To Celebrity Status

Back in August, Tory Lanez was finally sentenced for his role in Megan Thee Stallion’s 2020 shooting. The 31-year-old was given 10 years, and has since tried to appeal the sentence. He was recently seeking release on bail, but the judge denied his request. Now, he’s been moved to his new temporary home.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Lanez got transferred to North Kern State Prison. He’ll be held at the facility until authorities determine where he’ll serve the remainder of his sentence. North Kern is known for various murders, violent attacks, etc. that haven taken place within its walls. His new diet has also been unveiled, which doesn’t exactly sound appetizing to most. With that being said, he’s simply eating what all of the other inmates are eating. Lately, he’s been chowing down on cheese sandwiches, hard-boiled eggs, and hot cereal.

Tory Lanez In Administrative Segregation

If the food being served to Lanez behind bars isn’t bad enough, it was recently reported that the performer is in Administrative Segregation, due to his status. This means that he’s being held in a cell by himself, and hardly ever has an opportunity to interact with the other prisoners. According to TMZ, Lanez isn’t allowed to eat in the prison cafeteria with the rest of the inmates. Instead, guards will just bring his meals directly to his cell.

Whenever he goes out to the yard, he’s fenced off in a special area away from everyone else. Due to prison policy, he’s also handcuffed whenever he’s outside of his cell. On the bright side, Lanez does get to enjoy his privacy when he visits the prison showers. What do you think of Tory Lanez being in Administrative Segregation? Tory Lanez Subjected To The Plainest Food Imaginable In Prison

Tory Lanez is going through it right now. Overall, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison and he was also denied bail recently. Consequently, he was transferred to the North Kern State Prison in California. This is where he will be spending the next decade of his life. While Tory has tried time and time again to get an appeal or at least soften the sentence, his efforts have not worked. Instead, this sentence is one that he will have to get used to, otherwise, the 10 years will go by even slower.

According to TMZ, Lanez is not experiencing the best conditions in prison, especially as it pertains to the food. However, no one should have expected otherwise. Prisons are known for their plain meals, and North Kern State Prison is absolutely no exception. For breakfast, Lanez has been drinking coffee, while also eating some hard-boiled eggs, beef hash, and even some hot cereal. Not too bad considering the circumstances.

At lunchtime, Tory has been eating a mix of cold-cut sandwiches and cheese sandwiches. These are served on some bread that hasn’t been toasted. Additionally, he does get some peanut butter crackers to at least add some taste to the mix. Once dinner rolls around, fruit, veggies, and maybe some sausages on occasion will be served. It isn’t a lot, although that is what everyone else at the prison is getting. Clearly, there is no special treatment going on.

Lanez’s current prison sentence continues to be a developing story. With that in mind, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will always keep you informed. Additionally, let us know what you think of this prison diet, in the comments section below.

Tory Lanez’ New Prison Was Home To Various Murders, Violent Attacks, And More

Last month, Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years behind bars for shooting Megan Thee Stallion back in 2020. The rapper has since requested release on bail, which the judge denied. Regardless, members of Lanez’ legal team claim that he remains hopeful. According to Caesar McDowell, the judge’s decision didn’t come as a surprise to him. McDowell further claims that Lanez believes the bump in the road was simply part of “God’s plan.”

Yesterday (September 19), the performer was formally transferred to North Kern State Prison in California. Lanez is expected to serve a majority of his decade-long sentence at the facility, which is located just outside of Bakersfield. As part of the transfer process, he was also required to take a new mugshot, which made its way around the internet today. As one would expect, he doesn’t look too thrilled to be there, and it appears to be for good reason. Though imprisonment of any kind is never fun, recent reports give readers an idea of what he’s up against at the new prison, and it’s not looking good.

Tory Lanez Transferred To North Kern State Prison

According to TMZ, several inmates have been murdered at North Kern State Prison, and that’s just within the last year. It made headlines earlier this year after a guard found 53-year-old Juan Villanueva dead in his cell. His cellmate, alleged serial killer Ramon Escobar, was later charged with first degree murder. In July, another man named Ricardo Saldivar was also found dead at the facility. Officials are investigating the 25-year-old’s death as a homicide. Other violent attacks, escapes, and more have also been reported at the prison.

Reportedly, Lanez turned down a plea deal ahead of his sentencing that would have seen him serve only four years behind bars, instead opting to take the case to trial. Tory Lanez Moves To New Prison And Gets New Mugshot

After a very long and public trial following a 2020 incident where Tory Lanez shot Megan Thee Stallion in the foot, the rapper is now officially beginning his prison sentence. After being found guilty late last year he was given a sentencing date last month. In the court room, they settled on a 10-year sentence which was met with plenty of controversy online and from other rappers. After both his appeal and his bond hearing were denied Tory was finally set to begin his 10-year sentence.

That got underway yesterday when he was officially transferred to North Kern State Prison. The rapper, whose real name is Daystar Peterson is expected to undergo much of his sentence in the prison and as a part of that transfer, he was required to take yet another mugshot. Unsurprised, he doesn’t look very happy about his transfer to the new California prison in the picture. Check out the mugshot below.

Tory Lanez New Post-Trial Mugshot

Earlier this month, Tory Lanez made what could be his last post to Instagram for a while. He used the opportunity to pay tribute to a friend named Alexa who was reportedly the inspiration behind much of his 2021 album Alone At Prom. “It hurts more that I was not able to say my final goodbyes at your Ceremony of Life, but I Promise to make your legacy live on. You meant so much to so many of us. May your imprint be stamped on the world forever as you Rest in Paradise,” his heartfelt caption read.

Another report following the trial claims that Tory was offered a plea deal. Under the deal, he would have only served four years in prison in exchange for pleading guilty. Instead he turned down the deal and chose to fight the case, resulting in his 10-year sentence. What do you think of Tory Lanez’s new mugshot and transfer to a new prison? Let us know in the comment section below.

Adin Ross Explains “Free Tory” Remark In Response To Megan Thee Stallion’s TikTok

Adin Ross has reiterated his recent comment on a post from Megan Thee Stallion, in which he wrote back: “We don’t care. Free Tory.” While streaming live with fans, Ross explained that he doesn’t care if he faces backlash for the position and that he believes Tory Lanez is innocent. Lanez is currently serving 10 years in prison for three felony charges related to shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.

“I’ma talk on the situation, real quick. This is all I’m gonna say: I’m not apologizing for shit. It’s still free Tory,” Ross began. He then argued that there’s “no evidence” to support the case against the incarcerated rapper. “Free him. He’s innocent. Alright?” “I don’t care! I’ve been canceled for way worse,” Ross continued. “This is not even bad what I’m saying. I hate this shit bro.”

Young Dro Drops Bars About Tory Lanez & Megan Thee Stallion Case In New Song

Young Dro was pretty cheeky and comical with his music, but he surprisingly kept that energy up while switching to a more serious topic. Moreover, he recently released a somewhat divisive comeback single that addresses the Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion shooting case. Some people thought that this was a bit too bizarre for his big return, or that it’s a clear attempt to go viral. Regardless of whether he succeeded or not, it was still quite interesting to hear someone who seems quite neutral to the situation. Considering all the debate that the Internet fanned the flames of online over this, it’s a breath of fresh air.

Furthermore, that comes across because Young Dro takes a more playful approach that he balances with sharper lines. “Tory and Megan sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G,” he raps, and then recalls how they were friendly on Instagram Live, then got drunk, and resulted in Tory shooting Meg. It’s the last bar, though, which sticks as the most poignant part of the whole ordeal. “One thing about life, it’ll teach yo’ a** a lesson: if you got a confession, n***a, tell it to the reverend.”

In other news surrounding that case, this track comes shortly after the court denied Tory Lanez bail amid his appeal. However, it seems like, according to reports, the Canadian artist is still holding out hope that he’ll be free. Still, none of this conversation came with any extra accountability, regret, or admission of guilt on his behalf. That’s what many want to see, but regardless of where you fall on that debate, many also opened up a wider conversation about the prison system and proper rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, the Houston MC is kicking her career off once again, with the release of the Cardi B collab single “Bongos.” It’s been a very tough road up until this point, what with social media haters harassing her and diminishing her experiences. Hopefully this track doesn’t open up the floodgates as much as it promotes a more nuanced conversation, as corny as some find the track to be. With that in mind, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Young Dro, Megan Thee Stallion, and Tory Lanez.
