YNW Melly Could Reportedly Be Released Soon Unless Officials Prove Bond Shouldn’t Be Granted

Recently, YNW Melly’s attorney Michael A. Pizzi Jr. filed a 12-page lawsuit against the Broward Sheriff’s Office. In it, he alleges that his client is being kept in inhumane conditions, including solitary confinement for around three years with no visits or phone calls. Allegedly, Melly’s lawyers have also struggled to communicate with him, been denied entry to the prison, and more. Pizzi Jr. alleges that all of this violates Melly’s first, fifth, sixth, eighth, and fourteenth amendment rights.

“We are asking a Federal Judge to Order the immediate release of Jemell Demons (a.k.a. Melly) because the Broward County jail system has been violating his Constitutional Rights,” Pizzi Jr. told XXL of the lawsuit. “The refusal to let Melly see his family and the interference on his legal representation violates the Constitution and cannot be allowed to stand and will not be allowed to stand.” Now, according to the outlet, Judge Melissa Damian has responded to the lawsuit.

Broward County Sheriff’s Office Has Until December 6 To Prove Their Case

“On or before December 6, 2024, the Respondents shall file a memorandum of fact and law to show cause why this Petition should not be granted, and shall file therewith all documents and transcripts necessary for the resolution of this Petition,” her ruling reads. If the response is not submitted by December 6, Melly could reportedly be released on bond ahead of his upcoming retrial. If they do respond, Melly has two weeks to fire back.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office shared a statement with XXL about the lawsuit, defending themselves. “The Broward Sheriff’s Office does not generally comment on pending litigation,” it begins. “However, the jail does not utilize ‘solitary confinement.’ Rather, Mr. Demons has been placed on administrative segregation, which is a classification resulting in an alternate living assignment for an inmate whose placement in the general population poses a serious threat to the safety of staff or inmates, or life and property.”

50 Cent & Big Meech Team Up To Tease Upcoming Collab

It’s been roughly a month since Big Meech was released from prison, and he’s now serving the remainder of his sentence at a Florida halfway house. He since appears to have been making the most of his newfound freedom with manicures, dental work, and more. Recently, he even got the opportunity to hang out with 50 Cent. As an executive producer of a TV series about the Black Mafia Family, BMF, fans figured think link-up would happen eventually.

At the time of writing, it remains unclear exactly what was discussed during their meeting, but it seems as though they had plenty to talk about. It also looks like they’re working on something big together. “GreenLight Gang… Ultimate Hustler edition… Camera speed, rolling and action. BMF BIG MEECH,” 50 Cent captioned his post. Unsurprisingly, the photo is now making its rounds online as fans share their excitement for the upcoming collab.

50 Cent & Big Meech Have Something On The Way

Fif is far from the only person glad to see Big Meech out of prison, as countless other celebrities have shown him their support since his release. This includes Boosie Badazz, Rick Ross, Sexyy Red, and many more. LeBron James even got called out by critics for posting a positive message for him on X. “Welcome home Big Meech!!” his post read simply. Some users argued that it was wrong to glorify Big Meech considering his past, and accused him of sending the wrong message to his younger fans.

Big Meech’s son, Lil Meech, also shared an uplifting post about his release which has since been deleted. In it, he made it clear that he’d been waiting for his father’s release for quite some time. “This is all i ever wanted,” he wrote. “Thank you God.” His heartfelt message was accompanied by footage of Big Meech getting a manicure and chatting on the phone while wearing a diamond BMF chain.

Young Thug Has Lived An Entire Lifetime Since Coming Home From Prison

Young Thug has the whole world watching him these days following his release from the YSL RICO trial on a plea deal and 15 years of probation. He got out on October 31, and by the next day, he was already FaceTiming T.I. and linking up with him to celebrate his freedom. It didn’t take long for Thugger to return to social media either, with him tweeting out “Real plea deal jack” and “Wham [Lil Baby] let’s drop one on these rats peter” on November 2 and 3, respectively. That last tweet sparked an ongoing conversation about his seemingly fractured bond with Gunna, but we’re getting ahead of ourselves.

All of this is to say that the hip-hop space and beyond is very interested to see what the Atlanta rapper will do next. Furthermore, this idea became even more relevant considering the community service guidelines as part of Young Thug’s plea deal. On November 6, he called in via FaceTime to a conversation that his lawyer Brian Steel held with law students at Atlanta’s Emory University. Already giving back to the community!

Young Thug’s Most Recent Public Move

Now, though, there are more people than ever wondering about Young Thug’s relationship with Gunna, which seems at an all-time low. Last Saturday (November 9), the former tweeted and deleted a scathing message towards the latter, and we’re still no closer to finding out whether this was the result of a hack or a legitimate shot. Either way, Wunna’s brother reportedly said “the feeling is mutual,” and neither side has provided a message of clarification at press time. Either way, a lot of fans think that we might get new music sooner than we anticipated. Thug, Travis Scott, and Lil Baby hit the studio up on Sunday (November 10).

With all this in mind, Young Thug kept himself pretty busy in these first two weeks out of jail, all things considered. The hip-hop world continues to react to his freedom and movement as of late, sparking up a lot of debate and different interpretations. What can we expect from the next two weeks? We don’t know, but we’re sure that they will also cause a splash.

DJ Akademiks Issues Warning To Young Thug About His Next Album

Young Thug has certainly managed to make waves following his release from prison late last month. The rapper was behind bars for over two years facing RICO charges and eventually accepted a plea deal after a long and chaotic trial. He appears to have wasted no time getting back to work amid his newfound freedom, as he was spotted in the studio alongside several of his peers earlier this week.

This included Travis Scott, Future, and Lil Baby. According to DJ Akademiks, however, he might want to choose his collaborators a bit more wisely. During a recent stream, Akademiks noted how important it is for Young Thug’s next project to be solid. “Thug, if your first album ain’t hotter than Gunna’s last album? Bruh, we might tell ’em ‘we’re good,’” he explained. He went on, arguing that Young Thug’s perception could be off since he was incarcerated.

DJ Akademiks Says Young Thug’s Next Album Better Live Up To Gunna’s

“Thug been locked up. I don’t know how he’s been viewing what’s going on in the real world. Listen, you in the studio, Baby is like a block of ice. So if you think you was gonna go in there to cook up some heat? You need to throw a Baby out first,” he said. “If you think you about to cook up some mid and think we finna cancel Gunna, who is cooking up pure crack cocaine? It’s not gonna happen.” Akademiks continued, pointing out how most fans care about the quality of an artist’s music more than alleged snitching. For this reason, he thinks fans will continue to support Gunna despite any rumored beef.

His remarks came just days after Young Thug appeared to diss Gunna on X. “Gunna stop acting like we friends on the internet, I don’t know u my guy,” the tweet read. Akademiks responded to this by claiming he knew they seemingly had beef all along, and speculating that Young Thug only asked the judge for permission to contact Gunna for business reasons.

Metro Boomin Appears To Tease Post-Prison Young Thug Collab

Young Thug was finally released from prison last week following a long and difficult legal battle. The rapper accepted a plea deal, and will now spend 15 years on probation. He must also abide by various release conditions, including having no contact with alleged gang members or YSL affiliates. This doesn’t include his brother or Gunna, who he specifically requested permission to work with again.

Fortunately for fans, it doesn’t look like Young Thug has wasted any time getting back to work or reconnecting with his old collaborators and friends. Last night, for example, Metro Boomin hopped on his Instagram Story to tease what appears to be a new song for him. For now, it remains unclear exactly when supporters can plan to hear it, but they’re thrilled nonetheless.

Metro Boomin Is Cooking Something Up

Metro Boomin doesn’t seem to be the only fellow artist Young Thug is teaming up with following his release, however. Last week, he took to X with a message for the first time since getting out of prison. “Real plea deal jack!” he wrote in one tweet, followed by “Wham let’s drop one on these rats peter.” Lil Baby went on to welcome Young Thug home in a heartfelt message on his Instagram Story. “I missed you mf !!” it read. “Welcome home my brudda! Thank god you able to get back to the fam in good health and spirits! Wish ya none but billions jack! #whateverwhamsaygoes.” Lil Baby even previewed a new track at the Don’t Fall In Love festival in San Bernardino, CA over the weekend, though it’s unconfirmed whether or not it’ll feature Young Thug.

Young Thug & His Lawyer Brian Steel Speak To Emory University Law Students

Last week, Young Thug accepted a plea deal following nearly two years of trial and was finally released from prison. The rapper will spend 15 years on probation and abide by several release conditions, but his supporters are thrilled regardless. It looks like Young Thug is making the most of his newfound freedom, reconnecting with old collaborators and friends. He even recently chatted with some students at Emory University School of Law, thanks to his lawyer Brian Steel.

In a new photo, Steel is seen standing in front of a group of students on a FaceTime call with Young Thug. Both of them appeared to be in good spirits, though it remains unclear exactly what they discussed. They have a huge win under their belt, however, meaning Steel could impart some serious wisdom to the lucky students.

Brian Steel Imparts Wisdom To Law Students

“All of a sudden i wanna go to law school,” one X user jokes. “Brian Steel ain’t stopped working yet,” another says. Steel has been receiving a great deal of praise for his work throughout Young Thug’s trial. This only increased once the artist was released. Following the verdict, Steel spoke to reporters outside of the courthouse. He made it clear that he wasn’t completely satisfied, pointing out that he still believed his client deserved to be found not guilty. “As far as Jeffery is feeling now, he knows my feelings, which I am not going to reveal for attorney-client privilege. But, this is not the same as a not guilty verdict,” he explained.

He went on, noting how while the verdict wasn’t exactly what they were hoping for, they at least managed to get Young Thug out of jail and back home to his loved ones. Young Thug Links With TI To Confirm He’s “Back” In First Video Since Prison Release

Young Thug linked up with T.I. shortly after his release from prison, over the weekend. Together the two filmed a short video celebrating Thug’s freedom, which marks the first time fans have seen him since getting out. “Back,” Thug said in the clip. “No cap in my rap. The right way.”

When DJ Akademiks shared the post on Instagram, fans celebrated in the comments section. “N***a kept his arms crossed to stop from throwing up any thing that could be taken as a gang sign,” one user joked. Another wrote: “TI had his run with the Feds too at some point. It’s only right to link with the OGs help get you on the right track.” Others pointed out that T.I.’s son, Domani, is in the background of the video.

YFN Lucci Could Come Home In Early 2025 According To Record Label’s Parole Update

YFN Lucci just got a promising update in his sentence on RICO charges, according to his label Think It’s A Game Records. They recently took to social media to announce that he received a tentative parole date of January 2025, meaning that he could go home very soon. This follows a previous Los Angeles Times report that posited a similar development. In addition, this comes months after Fulton County’s District Attorney, Fani Willis, issued a letter in support of the Atlanta rapper’s early release from jail to the State Board of Pardons and Paroles back in July. Of course, take this with a grain of salt, as it’s still an early report and doesn’t confirm a surefire freedom date.

After all, YFN Lucci sought this outcome before, and it looks like he might be more successful this time around. For those unaware, law enforcement arrested him back in 2021 over a RICO indictment, and he pleaded guilty to one count of violating Georgia’s Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act in January of 2024. The court sentenced him to ten years in prison and ten years on probation. As for the former, a judge ruled that the time he already served became credit for his prison sentence.

YFN Lucci Gets Crucial Parole Update

“Pursuant to the parties’ negotiated agreement, the State does not object to Defendant, Rayshawn Bennett[‘s release from prison] from Department of Corrections the first time he becomes eligible for parole or after serving one-third of his prison sentence, whichever comes first,” Fulton County D.A. Fani Willis wrote concerning YFN Lucci. “This recommendation by the State [rests] upon the Defendant’s compliance with the lawful authority of all Department of Corrections personnel and [the absence of any] incidents of any kind in any facility [that housed him] while in the custody of the Department of Corrections.”

Meanwhile, this YFN Lucci news arrives after another massive update in another Atlanta hip-hop criminal trial this week. Young Thug took a plea deal in the YSL RICO case, and the judge’s sentence allowed him to leave jail on 15 years of probation. We will see whether a similar fate emerges for Lucci.

Young Thug Fans Praise His Lawyer Brian Steel Amid Rapper’s Newfound Freedom

Yesterday, Young Thug accepted a plea deal and was finally released from prison. He’ll spend 15 years on probation and must abide by various other release conditions, but his fans are thrilled nonetheless. It was undoubtedly a long and difficult battle for everyone involved, including his lawyer, Brian Steel.

Steel made it clear he wasn’t going to back down through the entirety of the case and was even willing to end up behind bars himself for his client. For obvious reasons, social media users are singing his praises following his and Young Thug’s latest legal win. “BRIAN STEEL JUST BECAME THE HIGHEST PAID LAWYER IN THE WORLD,” one X user jokes. “GIVE BRIAN STEEL HIS YSL CHAIN ASAP,” another insists.

Young Thug Finally Released From Prison

It goes without saying that Steel has a lot to be proud of today and that this has likely been one of the most memorable moments of his career so far. As for Young Thug’s co-defendants, only two remain, Yak Gotti and Shannon Stillwell. Three others, not including Young Thug himself, also entered guilty pleas earlier this week.

Yesterday, Yak Gotti’s attorney Douglas Weinstein revealed that his client turned down a plea deal. Instead, he said he “fully intends to take this to the jury and get our not guilty verdicts and go home.” If he and Stillwell ultimately decide not to accept plea deals, the trial will reportedly resume on Monday (November 4).

YSL Woody Breaks His Silence On Young Thug’s Release From Prison

After a lengthy and arduous trial, Young Thug accepted a plea deal yesterday and was finally released from prison. The rapper was sent home with 15 years of probation along with various other release conditions. The hip-hop community is celebrating, and his peers couldn’t be happier to see his legal battle come to an end. Recently, for example, YSL Woody hopped online to share his reaction to the exciting news.

“Thank you God [prayer emoji],” he wrote on his Instagram Story last night. Woody has made plenty of headlines in recent months for his controversial role in the trial. In August, he admitted that he falsely incriminated Young Thug in a host of crimes in 2015 simply to get authorities off of his own back.

YSL Woody Thanks God For Young Thug’s Freedom

He’s since called for Young Thug’s release several times and even issued a heartfelt apology for his actions earlier this month. “The pain, the suffering, everything I’ve caused on him and his family,” he began at the time. “I wish I had the mindset and the strength that I have now. I’ll never forgive myself. I took him through a process that I never should have took him through. Even though I know I’m not the cause of it, despite how anybody may feel, it’s wrong.”

One of Young Thug’s release conditions is that he is barred from having any contact with alleged gang members or YSL affiliates, such as Woody. The only exceptions are his brother Quantavious Grier and Gunna, with whom he specifically requested permission to make music again. What do you think of Young Thug finally being released from prison? Are you glad he was finally able to go home? What about YSL Woody’s reaction to the exciting news?
